La pêche, la chasse, la cueillette des champignons, des châtaignes, Le marché de Saint jean pied de port le lundi et restaurants gastronomiques. A 7km l’Espagne et 56km de la côte.

Pleasant Gîte in Ascain near St-Jean-de-Luz

A 17th century house, the Altxua house (Aulnaie in Basque) was renovated in 2006 and offers an independent upstairs apartment with its private terrace (with barbecue). It is a short walk from the village of Ascain and all shops (800 m), 10 minutes from the sea and its beaches, golf courses and is the starting point for many hiking trails including the one leading to the Rhune. In summary: a quiet, relaxing place but close to all the points of interest of the Basque Country.

The Ibarrondoa gîte is a beautiful 150 m2 bright gîte completely refurbished in the old barn of a traditional Basque farm. You will enjoy a fully equipped kitchen open to a large bright living room with its large family table and comfortable living room, in a decor combining antique furniture and modern comfort. A beautiful 30 m2 terrace overlooking the mountain and the surrounding meadows, not overlooked, will offer you convivial moments around the plancha.

Chalet of the Issaux Forest No. 3: the mountaineer

Here you will not find television, no state-of-the-art technology but the sound of the wind in the trees, the singing of birds, the ringing of the bells of the herds in summer... In the middle of the mountain, in the beautiful forest of Issaux, we have 3 chalets, spaced from each other, in the heart of a green and quiet clearing. From 1 to 6 people, sheets and towels provided (in July and August only sheets are provided). Firewood included.

From here, you can easily reach the green province of Soule (very close) or choose to go to the hustle and bustle of the Basque Coast (about 40 minutes away).

On the ground floor of the owner's house, you will appreciate the tranquility of the place and its location near the river. You can reach the D-428 from my place. You arrive on the Camino de Santiago near Huntxo.
