　We renovated part of a house in Ichijodani to be exclusively for private lodging. 　It is conveniently located for walking around Ichinotani, with nearby Asaga Kasuga Shrine, which was the Asakura family's war victory prayer place, the Asakura family ruins of Shimosakado, the Asakura family ruins museum and JR Ichinotani station, the Asakura family ruins Karamon, and the restored street. There is a firefly spot nearby, and you can also find them on the premises. 　There is also good access to major tourist destinations in Fukui Prefecture, such as the Dinosaur Museum, Ski Jam Katsuyama, Eihei-ji Temple, Tojinbo, Shibamasa, and the Sand Dome. 　There are no restaurants, supermarkets, or drug stores nearby. The convenience store is also 2.5 km away. 　There is a moss garden on the premises and a lawn that is not well maintained, but if the timing is right, you can enjoy a private cherry blossom viewing and snow play on the premises. 　Because it is a rural area, there are insects and small animals around the facility and sometimes in the room. If you cannot tolerate encountering these, please refrain from booking. 　The capacity is 4 people, but it feels quite small for 4 adults. 　No smoking in the facility, including the toilet, bathroom, and under the kitchen ventilation fan. We may decline guests who want to make noise, such as parties. Only guests who can follow the manners and rules are welcome. [Facility Description] The price is the same for up to 5 guests for the entire building. (For 6 or more people, +1,850 yen per person. Preschool children who do not need extra futons or towels are not included in the number of guests) High-speed Wi-Fi is available. The floor plan is 3LDK, and you can enjoy a BBQ outdoors. (You will need to bring BBQ ingredients, charcoal, and equipment such as a stove) There is a swing on the wooden deck. There is a hammock in the living room. And from the windows, you can see the great nature of Ikeda-cho from anywhere, and hear the babbling of the river and the chirping of birds. It is also convenient as a stopover point to the Dinosaur Museum and Eihei-ji Temple. [River Swimming] The Asaba River flows behind Sakura-sho, and in the summer, it is a hidden playground where local children come to play in the river. You can walk there. Onsen There is a hot spring facility called Kanjo that is a 5-minute drive away. There is also a sauna, and it is a place of relaxation for locals and tourists alike.

"Hataba" is a DIY renovation of a building that was once used as a weaving factory (= hataba) in my family home, and is a limited edition inn. The living and dining room with beams and the space with a calm Japanese-style room are surrounded by the nature of the quiet mountain valley, and are popular with group travelers and guests from overseas. The entire inn is private, so you won't meet other guests, and the bath, toilet, and kitchen are all private. You can enjoy a private stay to your heart's content. The host (Ken) or family is always present in the separate building on the premises, and we have a system in place to support you if anything happens, so you can feel at home even if it's your first time here. Also, if your host Ken is at home, you can have a drink with him or talk about the local area. ⚠️ Please note The surroundings are rich in nature, so please refrain from booking if you are concerned about insects, frogs, cats, etc. The interior has a handmade floor with fraying, small holes, and cracks. Slippers are provided, but please refrain from using them if you are concerned. The second floor of the old house is a large theater room. You can enjoy Amazon Prime freely in the theater room. The large kitchen, where you can cook with plenty of local ingredients, is also very popular. The kitchen, bathroom, toilet, etc. are new and easy to use. Shushu is a renovated building that was a beloved clinic in the local area, mainly in Yokohama, Tsuruga City. During the war, a doctor who was working in Manchuria, when he returned home after the war, responded to the passionate request of the locals to open a clinic in this land where medical care was not sufficient, and opened the clinic. The locals were involved in the construction, for example, the men cut down and transported the trees from the mountains, the women carried the soil by hand, and the gardeners created a garden centered on a large pond to make the doctor's stay comfortable. It was a loving place created by the whole village. Later, transportation was developed, and when its role was over, it was considered for dismantling, but the owner of Akari was called upon to renovate it into its current form.

Gujo Hachiman is known as the “City of Water”, and owner & architect Yuri Fujisawa has lovingly restored this charming residence to embody the spirit of water. Located below the town’s medieval castle, this neighborhood was reserved for high-ranking samurai. While the historical streetscape is well-preserved, it remains an authentic neighborhood inhabited by friendly locals.

Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

YAMANOTE HOUSE is accessible from major Kansai stations with 37min from Kyoto Sta. or 65min from Osaka Sta. If you come by car from Kyoto it takes less than 1 hour. The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.
