Behind the cottage there is a wood storage and a trash can. The sands of the beach have diminished a little over the years. The beach is rocky in some places, but you can easily swim from the jetty in summer. The water in the lake is suitable for swimming. This traditional log cabin offers a peaceful hideaway right on the lake shore. The cottage, hand-carved from thick logs, exudes peace. The cottage has a high-ceilinged living room, a wood-burning fireplace, a kitchen, a spacious wooden sauna with benches and a shower, a dressing room, a toilet, a sleeping loft and a bedroom, a covered veranda and a separate outdoor shower for cooling off after the sauna. In summer, a special feature of the place is the tinkling of cowbells in the adjacent, fenced forest pasture when a small herd comes to the beach to drink.

A typical Finnish cottage (55.8 sq.m) was built in 1972 and completely renovated in 2014, preserving the authentic atmosphere. The nearest shop or gas station is 25 kilometers away. We live behind the forest 200 meters from the cottage all year round. The location of the cottage is unique in that, on the one hand, you feel complete freedom and privacy, on the other hand, we are always around and ready to help and communicate if you wish. Our plot and garden are always open to our guests.

A lovely cabin on the shore of Kalkkistenkoski. On the terace you can grill, eat, enjoy the evening sun, lounge on the deck chairs or see the local bird populations. The cabin also has a sauna, hot tub and an indoor fireplace. The cabins kitchen has the essentials for cooking and the barbeque and outdoor fireplace can also be used for cooking. The kitchen and sauna have warm water and drinking water will be delivered to the cabin. The cabin has an outdoor composting toilet.
