Cottage by the lake

If you're looking for a little break from the hustle and bustle of the city to the peace of nature, this is just for you. Rent an inexpensive, modest, electrified, basic summer cottage (approx. 65 square meters) from Kangaslampi, Varkaus (the cottage is located on the south shore). Everything in the cottage is not exactly on top and in the best condition, but a basic clean cottage with everything you need. The cottage has a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, stove, gas grill. Basic dishes, television, radio, smoke detectors.

Säynekoski

A lovely, small cottage on the shores of the clear-water Kalkkistenkoski. Your own peace is guaranteed and the nature and scenery are unparalleled. Go to the sauna, swim, jump in the pool or go on a canoe trip. Or just whistle in the hammock. You can swim from the pier or directly from the beach. The beach is quite steep, so it is not suitable for very small children. The hot tub heats up next to the sauna terrace. Bed linen and towels are ready in the cottage. You can get to the yard by car. Alapihan Arboretum guest house with sauna

Cozy guest house and sauna in a wild tree species park. There are about 250 different species of woody trees and shrubs in the two-hectare area. The trees were planted in 1970 and form their own microclimate, where the air is clean and good to breathe. The area is still partly in its natural state and renovation is being done in the area. For those interested, we will be happy to introduce the arboretums during the visit. The household includes two Lapphunds, a cat, a rooster and 6 hens. Breakfast available

Peace and harmony at Pikkumökki-cottage

Pikkumökki-cottage is a cosy, traditional log cottage with a magnificent view over the lake Saimaa. The cottage has an open common area (livingroom and kitchenette) and a sleeping alcove. Sauna is in the same building with an own entrance. There is no shower, but you wash yourself with a refreshing lakewater. There is no watertoilet, but traditional dry eco toilet in a separate building. A big terrace and a grill for barbeque. There is a small bungalow next to the cottage, with beds for two.

Vanaja cottage, Ascetic Cabin with Beach and Sauna

Ascetic remote old Finnish cottage with own beach and sauna. In midsummer there is also bilberry (nordic blueberry) fields right next to the cottage! At the cottage you can enjoy a romantic holiday in a historic milieu or just go and relax with your friends and take a rowing boat to the lake. The cottage has no electricity or running water, wood heating. You can cook with wood heated stove. Blankets, pillows, and mattresses can be found in the cottage. Please bring your own sheets & towels.

A 100-year-old log cabin with amenities in the courtyard of the main house for year-round living. For guests staying several nights during the heating season, in addition to electricity, there is oven heating. Wood is ready, guidance or heating if needed. Good road connections. Outokumpu is about 10 minutes away and Joensuu is about 30 minutes away. Koli is about an hour away and Valamo Monastery is about 30 minutes away by car. Cottage and sauna are in your use during your stay. Swimming beach is safe for the children. Woods for the sauna and fire place are included. Toilet is in the other building outside the cottage. Rowing boat is in your use during your stay. Pets welcome.
