Under the chestnut tree is our romantic detached cottage in picturesque Schellinkhout. Fully equipped with kitchen, bathroom, TV and 2-person bed with a wonderful mattress. In 10 steps, you are on the sandy beach for swimming, sunbathing and (kite)surfing. Walk along the bird breeding area, cycle in the area, golf in Westwoud or explore VOC harbor towns Hoorn and Enkhuizen. Bus stop and parking in front of the door. 30 minutes from Amsterdam. Cozy restaurant 100 m away. We arrange breakfast on the 1st day!

Spacious vacation home in the countryside. Guesthouse 10 is located in the village of Schellinkhout, which borders the city of Hoorn and the Markermeer. After a year of renovating and furnishing, we are happy to welcome you. Within 5 minutes by car or 15 minutes by bike, you are in the city center of Hoorn. The other way is Enkhuizen, about 15 minutes by car. The vacation home is connected on one side with the home of the owners and is surrounded by a sunny garden with several terraces.

Be welcome for a wonderfully relaxing stay on the farm! You will stay in the oldest building of the yard; the haystack. Do you or your children really want to experience farm life? Feel free to take a look and get to know the love between humans and animals. But you have also come to the right place for a relaxing stay. Enjoy the beautiful view that extends to the Markermeer, make use of the reading material or take a seat on your terrace where the cows pass you.

Golfing is possible 3 km from our accommodation. Amsterdam is 35 km away and easy to reach from Hoorn station.

Original overnight stay with the farmer

Experience the farm and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Our cabins are equipped with bunk beds, a kitchenette, shower and toilet, private terrace with garden furniture, and private parking space. Close to IJsselmeer and Hoorn and Enkhuizen. The beds are made for you, but bring your own towels and toiletries. Towels are available for rent for 1.5 euros each. Breakfast can also be reserved for 12.50 per person, this must be ordered in advance.
