Visiting the city, hiking trails, waterfalls and the surrounding mountain communities means a lot for Western NC.

This spacious 3 bedroom log cabin truly has a one of a kind location offering a private pond along with a roaring creek for your enjoyment. The location has multiple outdoor seating areas, screened and covered porch areas and if you can pull yourself away from the gorgeous outdoor setting you will discover a large living room along, plus a bonus den and pool table. The private pond is a great place to cast a line, catch and release, relax by the creek or unwind while playing some corn hole.

A Million Dollar View! To get a view like this you’d have a terrible drive to get to it but the cabin is very convenient to the highway with only a mildly steep but short driveway. The Cabin was made from lumber cut off the land it sits on. Reclaimed Wood floors, reclaimed brick fireplace, rock chimney, wood focus walls and wainscoting throughout the cabin to separate this cabin from all the others. I got a big deck. It’s not the biggest deck ever but everyone loves this deck. You’ll see!

This cabin is close to Western Carolina University ( about 4 miles), Cullowhee, Sylva and Cashiers, NC. You’ll love this home because of the views, the coziness, woodburning fireplace, firepit, convenience and unique decorations ( I call it the museum in honor of my grandparents). In addition to two bedrooms, there are bunk beds in the loft for the kids. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).

1930s Walnut Grove Farmhouse

Walnut Grove Farmhouse, a renovated 1930s era home, is a remnant of an old farm. We are situated on 17 acres of rolling hills with handsome views from the upper pasture along with a stand of 14 walnut trees. Sit a spell on the porch, listen to the trickling brook (a roaring brook when we get significant rain), the sound of birds, the sounds at night and maybe some turkeys will venture through. We are located midway between Franklin and Dillsboro, Sylva, Cullowhee.
