“My boyfriend and I had one of the most special and unforgettable trips we've ever had! Everything about Esti and Bert's log cabin seemed great in the pictures and reviews, but it was even better when we arrived. We were after the dream lake-side stay where we could really relax, and that's exactly what we got. The cabin is really cosy, clean and comfortable, and we had two great nights listening to the outside sounds of nature whilst playing dominos with some red wine inside! We bought some groceries and used the bbq to make some great, simple meals. There did seem to be some lovely restaurants in nearby towns but we decided to leave the cabin as little as possible! We slept really well and the bathroom was clean and new, though still in keeping with the rest of the cabin. The setting is just what we wanted; the cabin overlooks the lake, and we loved having breakfast on the porch with that view. Swimming in the lake was heaven and the temperature was great, and Esti and Bert kindly let us make use of their peddle boat. Their hospitality however was one of the highlights - they were so welcoming and made us feel really at home. Two nights was not enough and we're still talking about how much we'd like to go back and swim in the lake. Couldn't recommend Esti and Bert's place enough and really hope we can return one day!”

“Such an amazing cabin. The area is very private for you and your friend. We loved walking through the forest and the close drive to hatchery falls for swimming! At night we got to sit around a beautiful fire pit while enjoying our music. We were very impressed with the outhouse having been so clean with no offensive odour and the overall cleanliness of the entire cabin. Inside you get to experience an amazing smell of fresh wood! Climbing the ladder to the top loft were the beds were was really fun as well. The architecture and styling of the cabin was very creative and ascetically pleasing. When contacting the host we were amazed by the quick response times and their kindness. In response to COVID19 protocols we were very happy with how clean everything was and the zero contact with others. Social distancing was very easy with this cabin and our amazing host! Overall we had a very fun girls trip and will definitely book again for a longer period of time! Thank you so much for the great memories!”

“Justin's cottage feels like a spa resort. Clean, tastefully decorated, and so incredibly comfortable. We all left feeling rejuvenated. From the stunning location on beautiful and quiet High Lake, to the multiple outdoor living spaces, this place is a true gem. We had such a wonderful time swimming and jumping off the dock, kayaking, and just relaxing in the stunning outdoor living room by the water. However it was all the small details that made our stay extra special: the solar powered outdoor lighting, the dragonfly decorations carefully placed throughout the property, the heavily trafficked hummingbird feeder right by the main doors, the bird feeder hanging high up in the trees, unreachable by squirrels and chipmunks, but frequently visited by chickadees and finches. Our dog Penny also had a fantastic time. She spent most of her time looking for chipmunks or napping on the sunny dock. We are so thankful for the fact that this cottage is dog friendly. We can't wait to come back next year!”
