“Jill was an outstanding host who responded almost instantly and was incredibly helpful. They provided us with detailed directions on where to park and how to find the tiny house. The house is definitely more spacious than we thought and decorated wonderfully. The location is absolutely unbeatable as well. You are in the heart of downtown Charlevoix and able to walk anywhere. Given the opportunity, we would love to stay here again!”
A cozy, private, romantic cottage with dog-friendly, fenced-in back yard and fire pit. Central a/c, WiFi, Smart TV. Queen bed, full kitchen, beautiful bathroom with deep tub (and shower). Spacious main room with fireplace. Separate dining and office area. Charming ambience with lots of art! Off-street parking with a turnaround for an RV or boat. Sorry, no cats. Check it out!
“My husband and I had a wonderful retreat at John’s Artist’s cottage! The space is sparkling clean, filled with natural light and tasteful art - it’s his studio after all! It is a wonderful place to relax and rewind, both indoors and outdoors. Little touches like farm-fresh eggs left for us in a basket made our stay even better. We loved being able to walk to the beach, downtown, restaurants, and ice cream. We had an absolutely perfect stay and would love to visit again.”
Location, location. A must see. Across the street from Mt McSauba nature preserve trails and within 300 yards you can enjoy great hiking trails, a 5 min walk to Lake MI dunes and a 2 min walk to watch the sunset. 2 miles from downtown. Bike the Wheelway trails. Very cozy atmosphere with a fully equipped kitchen, bring your essential oils and relax in the jacuzzi tub, very comfortable beds, folding guest bed for 5th person (to be setup in living room), washer/dryer, wood fireplace(Oct-May)
“No Complaints! Nancy’s cottage is fantastic – modern updates, neat & EXCEPTIONALLY clean, nicely decorated, everything in working order. It was easy to find, great location and perfect size for a solo traveler or couple. She seems to have thought of everything as I never once thought “it would be nice if she had ____”. Things like nightlights available in each room, warm blankets stored under coffee table, newspapers in the kindling box for starting a fire, etc. Lake Michigan is literally a block down the street. Neighborhood is quiet and you can even hear the tanker ships sounding their horns out on the lake. At the end of the street is a little parking area and a path into the preserve, including a path to a little rocky beach. The cottage: Kitchen – lots of pots, pans, dishes, and counter space. Also, basic cooking ingredients like coffee, spices & oils. Laundry room off kitchen with newer, full-size, stackable front-loading washer & dryer and supplies. Includes a collapsible counter for folding clothes. Living room – adequate seating, tables, lighting, and electrical outlets. Wood-burning fireplace is beautiful with firewood, kindling and lighter provided. Large TV with Roku – so easy to operate which was very much appreciated. I hate going somewhere and having to read 2 pages of directions to turn on and operate the TV. Bathroom – HUGE jacuzzi tub, including a hand-held sprayer so you can basically shower in there too! Beautiful and modern fixtures. Great hot water! Bedrooms – did not stay in 2nd bedroom, but master was terrific. Lots of windows, huge and amazingly comfortable king bed. Outside – deck was wonderful with a beautiful view of the nature preserve across the street, clean table and chairs on deck. I didn’t use the firepit out in back, but it looked nice with lots of great seating around it and wood available stored outside for that too. I highly recommend Nancy’s cottage. I really, really enjoyed my stay – both in the cottage and in this neighborhood! Thank you for everything!”
