Our cabin in the woods is a great getaway if you’re looking for a peaceful place to relax. It’s off the grid and is roughing it in style. A small and quiet 2000 watt Honda generator provides electricity for lights, charging your phone or laptop as well as a coffee maker, toaster or electric heater. It is easily accessible off I-69 on your way up north, 15 minutes south of I-94 or 30 minutes north of the Indiana Toll Road.
“This little cabin in the woods is everything we needed and more. Nestled away in the dark canopy of the woods, Sandy and her husband provided us with a perfect place to unwind. Equipped with comfortable chairs, utensils for fire cooking, a tripod for the pit, firewood, and a jug of water, everything we needed was right inside! The generator was simple to operate, and the outdoor string lights added a perfect glow to our evening. After dark, the wood stove adds a perfect cozy touch to an evening of card games and laughter. Ask them about renting quads or kayaks! We rented kayaks and paddled around a local lake for a few hours, Sandy and her husband took care of transportation and offered for us to kayak a lake instead of the river which was very high due to rain- very thoughtful. We will be back to create more memories. Thank you! -Bethany and Andrew”
We have a large historic home in a lovely small town that we'd love to share with you. Our home was built in 1855 and sits up on a hill surrounded by mature shade trees and gardens. Private upstairs room with a double bed and private bath. Pool, shady porches, a gazebo and park like lawns for relaxing. Wonderful restaurants, museums, micro brew and shopping in our vibrant downtown that's only a 5 minute walk away. We have ample parking, wireless internet and laundry. The bedroom decor is cottage, lots of blue and white. Recently updated decor. New rug, bedding and comfy chair. The room and bath are at the back wing of our home so are very quiet and private. The bathroom is private with shower and laundry facilities in the room. We have been hosting for 6 years now and are having a great time. Our home is unique because as it is over 160 years old is is comfortable, homey and warm. We are LGBT friendly. ALL are welcome.
“Really lovely stay at Michelle's cozy home! The pets were very cute and she had honey and maple syrup for sale as well. Would recommend to people traveling in the area.”
1867 historic home in the city of Marshall, Mi. Bedroom located on the second floor with private sitting room. You can walk among the gardens or sit back by the water feature with a book or beverage. Three blocks from the Fountain and shopping. All walking distance. Great River walk along the Kalamazoo river. Marshall is a great stopover between Detroit and Chicago and Indianapolis and Port Huron. A great small historical town to stop for the evening for dinner and a comfortable bed.
“We absolutely loved staying at Judy’s historic home. It’s so beautiful but also homey & light. It was a like a fairy tale in all its ornate appointments but extremely cozy too. Comfy bed & modern conveniences, combined beautifully. Judy serves a lovely continental breakfast & her sun room is the perfect way to start the day. We loved walking to the business area- just a few blocks away. So many great shops & eateries plus close to freeway access to continue a Michigan visit.”
