A newly built, small but practical, self contained annex adjoined to the side of the main house by the side and from the ceiling. It has it's own entrance for privacy and a key safe that allows guests to let themselves in. It's an ideal place for a short term stay and offers good value in a very expensive city. It has a small kitchen area with microwave, toaster, mini fridge and kettle. The annex also has a desk work space and a shower.
“I can't fault this property. It's bigger than the pictures, which was a nice surprise. Lovely clean bathroom with no signs of mold at all. Which is difficult with enclosed bathrooms like this. Really soft mattress. Very well heated. I was pleasantly surprised at how equipped the kitchette was. But most importantly as a young woman traveling alone, I felt safe. The second door outside the property locks from the inside. I also bumped into the host, Paul, who was a really nice guy and made me feel at ease. A few people have complained about the occasional noise through the walls. Personally it didn't bother me at all, and reminded me how safe I was being next to a family home. I would recommend this place to anyone. I'd love to come back in summer.”

“This was a lovely and secluded way to experience life on the river outside Cambridge. Beautiful views of the park and swans going by. The portholes had covers that made it pitch black at night and it was surprisingly roomy. The location was accessible by bicycle or bus from the city center. The kitchen is nicely stocked and the bed was very comfortable. The plumbing situation takes a little bit of getting used to since the boat is below the water line but if you follow the straightforward instructions the host provides you won’t have any issues. Overall the hospitality was great and our stay was very peaceful and memorable. Thank you for the use of your boat !”
Cosy refurbished garden room, set within the tranquil and leafy courtyard garden of our Victorian terraced home, in the sought-after area of Newtown, central Cambridge. The house is conveniently located near the Botanic Gardens, which is a 5-10 min walk from the mainline train station and a 15-20 min walk into town. Side entrance, modern decor, wooden floor, double bed, separate ensuite with shower/WC. Also: • Underfloor heating • Heated towel rail • Tea and coffee • Hot + Cool fan
“Lovely little garden room, very cosy even though it was raining and windy outside. Perfect location as very close to the centre. If you’re planning to visit Botanic Gardens I’d recommend this place as it is just at the end of the road. Sheridan was very welcoming even though we arrived 45 minutes late due to road works on the A14. We hope to return in the summer.”
