The cycling distance (2 bikes and tandem available) to the center of the city is less than 10 minutes. On the west side, a terrace of about 16 m2 is equipped with furniture where you can enjoy the last rays of the sun until late evening. The location is located on open water, you can fish and swim in summer and use the canoe and an electric rental sloop.

Hidden place near the center of Leeuwarden

Hidden in the Leeuwarden district of Huizum, lies the former kindergarten "Boartlik Begjin". At the end of the Ludolf Bakhuizenstraat, lies this special quiet place, within walking distance of the city center and the train station. A nice base to go into the city, shop or visit one of the museums. And also to discover the rest of Friesland. The room is also suitable as a home office (WiFi available).

This former transformer house has stood against the beautiful Frisian village of Wirdum for more than 100 years. It has been converted into a beautiful tractor cabin with a lot of care and attention. You could also call it a tiny house, because despite the small space it has almost all the comforts. In the village you will find a café/restaurant and a small supermarket with bread from the hot baker.
