Mökki means “cottage” in Nordic Finnish. Please spend your favorite time in a quiet space separated from everyday life. Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano-cho in northern Nagano Prefecture, blessed with forests, lakes and snow. There are nature-rich sightseeing spots such as Kurohime Kogen, Lake Nojiri, and Togakushi in the vicinity. The building of the pioneering era was renovated fashionably with plenty of natural materials such as pure cedar, cypress and plaster.We also paid attention to the interior and kitchen utensils so that you can enjoy "living". In the back of the building, there is a forest with a stream, and you can enjoy a walk in search of the blessings of nature, as well as swing hammocks.In the east house by the river, you can enjoy BBQ and bonfires without worrying about the weather. The house overlooks Lake Nojiri and has a spectacular view. There are several ski resorts (Myoko, Kurohime, and Matsuo) about 15-20 minutes away by car, and they are also a great base for winter sports. Enjoy a wood-burning stove sauna and a water bath with stunning views. There are no private houses around, so you can watch music and movies with loud noises. Since it is a house nestled in the mountains, we will do our best to take care of it, but during the warmer months, insects can be seen.It snows a lot in winter. In autumn, the leaves fall. You will also need to adjust the wood burning stove yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but it's got an incredible view. Enjoy cooking with a kitchen counter with spectacular views, condiments, and a cooker. (There is no equipment for BBQ)
