Skipperhuset

🏡 Skipperhuset is the oldest house on our family farm Birkenes, which is located in Farsund municipality. The Skipper's House was built in the 19th century and has been rehabilitated several times, most recently in the spring of 2021. In collaboration with a local painting company, we work to make the house as authentic as possible, including by wallpapering the living room, kitchen and hallway with skipper's house wallpaper and linseed oil paint to preserve wood, etc. Skipperhuset has a natural place on the farm and is wall to wall with the brewery that has a renovated bakery oven.

Nostalgic and cozy living room with a unique location

The historic house shows the year 1773 painted on the walls. The house was originally located in the village's cluster and was bombed during World War II. When the farm's operating building was constructed, the remnants of the house were set up as a living room next to the barn and today it appears as an intimate and cozy little house with a lot of history and soul. All facilities are, of course, completely modern. The house in the middle of the valley, down towards the fjord and innermost in Høgsfjorden, provides an unforgettable holiday in this old living room.

We rent out our funky house in Viga, Spin. The house was built in 2018, and has a high standard. On the ground floor there is a corridor, laundry room, TV lounge with sofa bed, bathroom, and three bedrooms all furnished with 2 single beds. On the second floor there is a large kitchen, living room, dining table, TV area, bedroom with a double bed, and large bathroom connected to this bedroom. Outside, there is a large terrace with plenty of living space, different seating groups, Jacuzzi and fireplaces, and nice views!

The house is located in a single-family area with about 5 minutes drive or 30 minutes walk from Flekkefjord city center. The single-family home appears to be family friendly with several playgrounds, sea, beach and forest in the immediate vicinity.
