Hønsehus Nedre Snartemo Farm

You will spend the night in the immediate vicinity of Snartemobekken which is a tributary of the river Lygna where the salmon play. Nedre Snartemo is an old farm with a barn that is under restoration. On the farm there are traces of settlement from the pre-Roman Iron Age and all the way to our time. The famous Snartemo sword was found just 200 meters away - in other words, you live in the middle of history. Charming cabin with a nice view, located inland, 10 km from the centre of Lyngdal and Waterpark. The cabin is fully furnished, washing machine and dishwasher. Close to a big lake. Row-boat, kayak, fishing -gear available. Nice hiking area.

If you want a holiday in Sørlandet right by the beautiful Nidelva, this is the place. The cabin is beautifully located by the Nidelva 7 km from Arendal and 15 km from Grimstad. Nidelva has 3 outlets to the sea where one flows out by the center of Arendal and the other two flows towards Torungen lighthouse. There is little movement in the river during the summer since the cabin is at sea level.

The cottage is located a little by itself on the edge of a farm stun, beautifully situated on the slopes down towards the idyllic Riskedalsvatnet. From the dining table or terrace there is a view of the water. Built in the late 1980s, the cabin has been completely refurbished with modern colour options in 2020.
