Waterfront and close to Granite Peak. Lake feel. In the City of Wausau on the Wis River in a quiet neighborhood with an up north feel. Summer kayaks and paddle boat available . Dock out back for your boat. So much to do. And downtown Wausau 4 minutes away. Fall has changing of the leaves. Winter we are 10 min to Granite Peak ski hill. Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. Relax or keep busy with a list of events and places provided in a folder at the cottage .

Shalom Retreat

Enjoy a stay in the cottage in the big woods! The lane leading to it winds a half mile back from the road. This place will be a highlight because of everything from the spacious yard surrounded with woods, kitchen fully stocked with dishes, open, cozy living room and cute bedrooms. It is a family friendly place including a Foosball table, board games and toys. Also has a picnic table and backyard fire pit (firewood included) or you can choose to grill your favorites on the covered back porch.

You will have the entire upstairs to yourself during your stay, including a bedroom with a queen size bed, a bathroom with shower, and an open concept kitchen, dining area, living room, and work desk. You'll also have your own private entrance and free off street parking in the back of the house.

My place is quiet, serene and private, and secluded. Hear the rooster crow or collect your own eggs for your breakfast. Head down to the private pond to try your luck at fishing (no license required) or paddle boarding. If you need to warm up, use the sauna or the outdoor hot tub year round. It is an easy drive to the interstate. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and furry friends (pets). ski Granite Peak. Hike the Ice Age Trail. Ever wanted to see what goes on in a commercial bakery? Imagine waking to the aroma of baking bread and cinnamon rolls? Get a bird's eye view into the kitchen of the Village Hive Bakery Kitchen while staying in the newly renovated "flatlet". Salvaged & repurposed building supplies used to create a unique studio apartment above the bakery retail. Guests can enjoy the retail farmhouse table and comfortable seating space by the Main Street picture window. Cooking/baking classes available.

It has everything you need to make your holiday warm, comfortable and full of bliss! Cleaning fee credited for all stays 7 days or longer. We can also set up the basement living room area to be a work space.
