Our small self-catering 5 sleeper thatched chalet fits in perfectly with nature. The chalet is totally off the grid and uses a limited solar inverter to charge and run your personal 220V devices. It is a small and compact chalet, but the setting makes it a wonderful place to rest for a weekend. There is a fully equipped kitchen, gas stove and a fridge/freezer. The downstairs bathroom has a bath, toilet and basin. Outside is an amazing bush-shower. The views from the upstairs deck are stunning.

The Manor House

The Homestead is the original main house of the fabulous Steynshoop Valley Lodge, with 5 double bedrooms (all en-suite). It is the private luxury lodge of the owner of Steynshoop, with antique furnishings and luxury items. It has wonderful views, through large sliding windows, over the pool and dams and down the valley, and of the mountain range. There is a thatched gazebo, with a large table and chairs next to the pool. There is a tennis court, full sized billiard room, volleyball, etc.

This is a studio chalet. Cosy comfortable double bed with a seperate living section. The chalet is a self-catering unit with a braai facility, microwave and electric frying pan. Thatched with open-plan sleeping/living room with king size bed or two single beds. Separate kitchen and bathroom with a shower only. Fully fenced yard with private braai.. Situated at the foot of the hill close to the river. Reachable by car.
