It is the heart of the Maas-Schwalm-Nette International Nature Park. A typical Lower Rhine landscape with 12 lakes, 70 km of cycling and 145 km of hiking trail awaits you. In lovingly maintained nature conservation facilities, the landscape-typical, original flora and fauna can be admired. Supermarket and bakery are in walking distance. Highway 61 can be reached in about 8 km. Kaldenkirchen train station is about 7 km. From there you can get directly via the Dutch border to Venlo and also in the other direction directly to Düsseldorf. Your home: The first floor of our family home is your personal oasis of well-being for the period of your stay. Our apartment is a small, attached cottage with terrace and garden. It is located in a quiet residential area in the center of Raesfeld-Erle, a 360-soul village on the edge of the Ruhr area. Here you combine Münsterland flair with everything that the big metropolises offer. In Erle stands the oldest oak in Germany. A chestnut avenue, the rustic schnapps distillery and the old windmill also invite you to cycle and walk on numerous hiking routes.

The cottage is surrounded by a lot of nature and a beautiful lake with weeping willows. The A-frame house offers plenty of privacy with 2 hectares of garden. The lake house has a bright living room, kitchen, bathroom with shower and bedroom. Our two Scottish Highland cattle are behind our cottage and are a real highlight. There are also many birds, hedgehogs and rabbits in the garden. A BBQ is available on the terrace excl. gas bottle.

Right across the border from Woold-Barlo is the Grenspeddelaar. In front of it is a shop and gas station, which is where it all started. Meanwhile, the gas station is unmanned and the former shop has been converted into a charming and comfortable guest house.
