Welcome to our home on Lake Blackshear! **We are THE house for Christmas so please be aware we will have lots of friends & family here for Christmas eve/day if you are looking to book either of those nights.** We are located in a cove at the northern tip of the lake, surrounded by trees and beautiful nature. There is 1 queen bed, one queen sleeper sofa, and 1 futon (suitable for 1-2 small kids). It is DUCK/DEER HUNTING SEASON, so please be aware you may hear gunshots on weekend mornings.

Six minutes to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, eight minutes to Albany State University and 20 minutes to Albany Marine Corps Logistics Base. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Kitchen is stocked with basic cooking supplies and utensils. Complimentary coffee, tea and hot coco is provided as well as filtered water.

Janelle’s Cottage

Janelle’s cottage is named after my Mom, Janelle Perkins. She was a public health nurse who had a great love for God and people. This is a handicap friendly home. We want you to enjoy the slower pace in Cochran Ga. This is a pet friendly home whether it’s the 4 legged kind or the feathered kind. They are welcome. We do not charge a pet fee or a cleaning fee. We are approximately 4 miles from Middle Georgia State University and approx. 30 minutes from Warner Robins.
