The Lower Garden District/ Magazine Street area is one of New Orleans' oldest and trendiest neighborhoods, with a mix of 100-year-old houses, cool shops, and restaurants. Walk to Magazine Street, the St. Charles streetcar, coffee shops, and the beautiful homes of the Garden District. Close to the French Quarter, but tucked away from the noise. City bus system close by, St Charles Streetcar within walking distance and only $7-$9 by Uber or Lyft into the center of the city. Parking outside right in front of the house. (Of course, on occasion, you may have to park a couple spots away, however it's rarely a problem to park right in front). Your code for the front gate and front door will be sent via the Airbnb app three days before your stay. If you need any help just give us a call.

This beautifully restored sidehall was built in 1878 for a wealthy French couple who designed their property to entertain. It features a tremendous double parlor which was used for parties & balls highlighted by an Italian marble fireplace that cost more than the building itself! Two screen porches provide an escape during nice weather. Two very large bedrooms feel even bigger with their 12' ceilings! The entire property is furnished with period antiques, fine art, & historic touches throughout.
