Small Paradise above the Walensee

A beautiful old countryside home, lovely furnished in a paradise-like setting. The house is perfect for people who are looking to get a break from the big, loud world or would like to discover the beautiful Swiss mountains by foot. If you are coming by public transport you will need to hike one hour on a very beautiful hiking path (Weesen - Quinten). If you decide to come by car you will only need to hike 15min from the parking lot to the house. We highly recommend to wear good hiking shoes.

Beide Zimmer sind mit hochwertigen Boxspringbetten 220 x 200cm ausgestattet. Das BnB bietet eigene Eingänge, Bäder. Das self-service Frühstück ist einfach (Kaffee, Tee, Saft, Toast, Käse, Joghurt, Cerealien, etc.). Es kann im unbeheizten Vorraum zubereitet und im Zimmer eingenommen werden. Parkplätze sind vorhanden, die Busstation ist 1 Km entfernt.

We rent a very nice, newly furnished and cozy 30 m² apartment with separate bedroom. In the open living room with kitchen and dining area, there is a large sofa bed. The apartment has a separate apartment entrance and is on the first floor (no steps). The free parking is right next to the apartment. The apartment is located in the middle of the village and is easy to find. Just three minutes to the bus stop, 40 minutes to Zurich. We, the host family, live on the upper floor.

Our paradise invites you to relax. The guest room and bathroom as well as the living room (where there is a small fridge, a Nespresso coffee maker and a kettle) are located in the attic with beautiful views of Lake Walen and the Churfirsten. OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES Our cat also lives in the attic, which shares the bathroom and the living room. It has a parking in front of the house and a seating area with a fireplace. An oasis of calm, simple, natural and homely. There is a 2-room apartment in the old farmhouse with wood heating, a small kitchen and a bathroom. In addition, 2 rooms in the attic, one with a wood-burning stove. The house is radiation-free, there is no mobile network, no Wi-Fi, Internet access is available via cable! The house is surrounded by a large garden with cozy places to relax and enjoy. An ideal starting point for walking and biking.

Experience and inhabit paradise

Charming pavilion with double bed (sofa bed) and bathroom. To heat the cottage, fire up the heating fireplace, cosy warmth is guaranteed! In summer, a mass storage in the stable is also available, e.g. for families. There is a kitchen available, about 20m from the cottage. On request, we will provide breakfast for an extra charge of CHF 13.00 per person, which must be paid in advance as we have unfortunately had bad experiences.

Our beautiful accommodation is combined with an older farm, which is rather remote and surrounded by meadows with a view of the beautiful Glarus mountains. In this area, you can enjoy the peace and quiet. However, there are also an incredible number of sights and activities in the area. We'll be happy to help you find something suitable. The studio is wheelchair accessible and has no steps.
