A spectacular beachside holiday home in Torcross.

Start Way provides the perfect holiday accommodation situated in the beautiful seaside village of Torcross. Located on the beach between Kingsbridge and Dartmouth, this former coastguard cottage has been beautifully restored to offer a contemporary open-plan living space that makes the most of its delightful location. The property sleeps 5/6, the single bed pulls out to a double. The master bedroom with ensuite is on the 2nd floor, the king size bedroom & single bedroom with family bathroom are on the first floor. The open plan living accommodation is on the ground floor. The view stretches across The Slapton Ley, a beautiful nature reserve. There is free public parking outside the property and the beach is literally 10 yards from your front door. Take your morning coffee and enjoy the incredible view! The Billy Can Cafe is a stone’s throw from the property which offers a great “cream tea” and The Start Bay Inn serves the best classic fish & chips which you can eat on the beach! Start Way is opposite the Ley, a large freshwater lake and nature reserve that is known for its wildlife and bird watching. The beach at Torcross is a stone’s throw away, this long expanse of beach offers the perfect place to relax, swim or paddleboard. It’s a dog-friendly beach too! There is a café offering a great cup of tea, cake and sweets for the children and the famous Start Bay Inn, serving up their fabulous fish & chips every day of the week! Stokeley farm shop is a short walk away and has a wide selection of foods including a butchers, local freshly made bread, fruit & veg plus much more. Their café serves a cracking breakfast and in the evening The Tap House serves pizza with a fully licensed bar with regular music nights. The cottage is situated on the South West Coast Path that takes you in both directions, towards Slapton Beach or to Start Point Light House. The views are truly breathtaking and there are several village pubs along the route. Torcross is ideally placed between the naval town of Dartmouth and the market town of Kingsbridge. There are so many beautiful places to visit, just ask us for the local’s top tips!

Tiny, cosy cottage: 3 mile beach on the doorstep

South Devon is really a beautiful area and Sunnyview has an amazing position in the coastal village of Torcross, sitting within an AONB. 3 miles of beach on your doorstep and the SW Coast Path running behind the garden, there is so much to explore in this magnificent area. It's one of cosiest cottages in the country, more akin to a boat, with some clever design features to make creative use of the space. The views are magnificent and it's definitely one of those special boltholes to discover!

Stunning home on beach, SW coast path+hot tub (6)

Situated on the beach, right on the South West coast path & opposite national nature reserve & freshwater lake (Slapton Ley) this house +hot tub is ideal for walkers, bird watchers, sea swimmers, wildlife lovers, AND it's dog friendly. Beautifully furnished, fully equipped and huge! The living room & open plan kitchen diner are very spacious indeed as the house is actually a 4 bed, but we list it as 2 bed to attract smaller groups out of season - choose which 2 bedrooms you want for your group!

The Shippon is a meticulously converted cow barn with heated, polished concrete floors, gently curving deep green walls, hand-built kitchen, warmly lit reading nooks, & natural materials. Woollen blankets, feather sofa, antique Scandinavian log burner, king-size bed with French linen & down, waterfall shower, & the softest towels. Our sleepy Devon hamlet is only lit by stars at night. A beautiful open plan studio apartment, furnished to the highest standard for self-catering with a fully equipped kitchen with oven, grill, hob, fridge, microwave. There is a dining area, lounge equipped with a TV and a great wet room. Outside is a private patio area with sun loungers and bistro set. Ample parking on drive. A cream tea awaits you on arrival. 1 night bookings only accepted Sun-Thurs. 3 night stays in the summer preferred, but ask to see if we can accommodate you.

Beautifully presented seaside cottage with stunning views over Start Bay. Situated in the heart of South Hams an area of outstanding natural beauty. The South West coast path runs directly in front of this fishermans cottage stepped with history making it ideal for active holiday makers as well as photographers,artists and ornithologists. With 3 bedrooms it is ideal for a group of adults or families. It is cosy in the winter with an Aga ,open fire and central heating.

The Old Laundry is a large airy studio space with dining area, kettle, fridge, toaster, microwave and tabletop electric cooker. A king-size bed and a single bed for a third guest, and a gorgeous bathroom with a newly added heated towel rail. The apartment is private with its own front door, an outside courtyard and the pool a stroll away that looks over the sea and our three acres of garden to relax in. It is ideally located for exploring the beautiful South Hams.
