Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make your trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". South cottage is located in the small rural community of Wiston near Biggar. Our cottage offers a fully equipped retreat to relax and unwind whilst being perfectly located for exploring a wide range of nearby activities and attractions , including Tinto Hill , Lanark , Historical New Lanark, the Clyde Valley and the wider Scottish Borders , Edinburgh and Glasgow are both within an 1 hour drive or accessible by train , Lanark and Carstairs train station are within a 20min drive .

Enjoy a relaxing get away in our spectacular snugs. These are the perfect way for a couple days with a partner or friend. Enjoy local walks or visit the historic town of Linlithgow. Located high up in the hillside enjoy stunning views over West Lothian. Tea and coffee facilities are provided along with a microwave. All our snugs have underfloor heating and generous en-suite bathroom with full size shower. Guests are more than welcome to bring food/takeaways into the snugs.

Mary Queen of Scot's chamber at Neidpath Castle is perhaps the most romantic place to stay in the Scottish Borders. Explore privately the whole castle and then retire to enjoy your suite rooms. This 2 bedroom apartment is the beautifully converted former Great Hall of Dollarbeg Castle. Built in 1890, Dollarbeg Castle was the last gothic baronial style building of its type ever built. Beautifully restored in 2007 to the very highest standards, it was converted into 10 luxury properties, one of which is a conversion of the original "Great Hall" with its vaulted ceiling and majestic views across the formal grounds towards the Ochil Hills in the distance.
