A beautiful traditional canarian town. With many buildings of interest, a new plaza where they hold many traditional fiestas or markets. There is a farmers market every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Selling local produce including San Mateos famous cheese. Sundays also include a market outside selling a wide variety of items including clothing. There are many bars and restaurants with al fresco dining.

town at 8km for shopping and visiting the old part; there is a Dino supermarket, a Spar and a fresh bakery. There is a covered marketplace on saturday and sunday morning with local food & specialities. You will also find some restaurants with day menus.
