It is a great central position to see the whole island, the roads are excellent and the buses on the island are brilliant (and cheap) The village of las Lagunetas is beautiful with an amazing church at the heart of it as well as a lovely restaurant with a shop of typical canarian produce

A beautiful traditional canarian town. With many buildings of interest, a new plaza where they hold many traditional fiestas or markets. There is a farmers market every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Selling local produce including San Mateos famous cheese. Sundays also include a market outside selling a wide variety of items including clothing. There are many bars and restaurants with al fresco dining.
