Welcome to "Cabin on Swede Hill". Our family has farmed this land since 1871. My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. This 100 sq. ft. tiny A-Frame offers cozy comfort with two stackable twin beds that convert into a queen (side-by-side) when desired. The gazebo has a nearby compostable toliet (shared with other guests), and just a 1 minute walk on a path in the woods to the main house (where the full bathroom is that can be used 9am-8pm).

A unique experience awaits you in our cozy tiny house set back in the cedars. The lake is just steps from your front door where you can sit on the dock or canoe and kayak on the quiet inland lake. It is rustic tiny living, yet equipped with enough modern amenities to make your stay an enjoyable one. We welcome guests to bring friendly dogs and we expect that our guests will welcome the attention you will get from our dogs as well.

The main residence is approximately 400 feet from the cabin. The cabin is secluded and yet close to local attractions, restaurants, biking and nature trails. The Cabin has a total of 420 sq ft living space with 280 sq ft on the ground floor and a 140 sq ft bedroom loft.
