Rustic charm hideaway and its sister suite Rustic Elegance can be rented individually or together they are located in the western area of New Providence away from the hustle & bustle of the city a very quiet neighborhood only 10 min from the airport , convenience stores, restaurants and beach located within walking distance.
“Tina is an amazing hostess! She had great recommendations and was always readily available to answer all our questions. She truly went above and beyond in every aspect. Her place is exactly as you see in the photos, bed was nice and comfy! Highly recommend you getting a vehicle, we walked to the nearest beach one day and it was about 30mins. Once we had a car rental, we were able to explore most of the island. For places to eat - I recommend Avery's, Dorans, Southwest Diner for all local fare. Make sure you try the Cracked Conch or Conch Fritters! Beaches - Coral Harbour is the nearest beach, it's usually deserted so its nice and relaxing. Love Beach is incredible, theres a bar on the beach Nirvana where we went almost daily, they made us feel like family. Shout out to the bartender Stacey! Jaws beach is also incredible, must see. Nassau is an amazing island, lots to do and see. But definitely try to get to another island - the beaches and water are unreal on Rose Island and Exuma was highly recommended but we never made it. Enjoy your stay at Tina's!!”
Pirates retreat. Located in the settlement of "The Current" on the island of Eleuthera. Home of The Current Cut, one of the best drift diving and spear fishing locations in the country. Not your typical vacation. Remote, pristine, authentic Bahamas. Easy access to Harbor Island.
“My husband and I just returned from our third stay at the Tree House, each time we go it gets better and better! I was born in Governor's Harbour but always prefer to stay in The Current because it's what I remember Eleuthera to be, relaxing, quiet, beautiful, and untouched from commercialism & tourism. Keep in mind, there's always the option to take a quick 10 minute boat ride over to Harbour Island or Spanish Wells for more nightlife or restaurants without sacrificing the peace and mind The Current provides. A Few Notes -You can swim right off the steps of the house. -Book a day on the boat with the house caretaker, James Munroe, it's a must!!! Not only does it allow you to see parts of the island only accessible by private boat, he's a true local and knows the island better than anyone. And he's just an awesome, really nice guy. - A 2 minute drive from the Tree House is the Current Library which has free WiFi. -Renting a car is a must. -There are local pigs on the beach in Spanish Wells instead of traveling to Exuma. -There are lots of little shops for groceries or you can drive to The Bluff which has a larger supermarket called the North Eleuthera Shopping Center. These are not American supermarkets, so don't expect them to look like it. -There's a new ice cream shop in town which I recommend on hot days! -For local things to do in the area, check out Preachers Cave, Blue Sapphire, Queen's Bath, and Glass Window Bridge. -If you drive to Gov Harbour for the day, check out the pool party with swim up bar at Pascal's within Sky Beach Club (don't need to stay there to use the pool), beach restaurant Tippys, Da Perk coffee shop, Friday night Fish Fry Party, and the Haynes Library. -Everyone waves at everyone walking or driving by, it's very friendly area, wave back! -It's really fun to engage with the locals and talk to them when hanging outside or in stores. If you're ever lost or need directions, they are always ready to help or have a chat. -Lots of shops are closed on Sunday/Monday. -Hitchhiking is pretty common since the island is so big and not everyone has a car, it's up to you and your comfort level but we always offer rides to those walking. -Regardless of the time of year, make sure to bring some bug spray for the No-See-Ums ( Sand Fleas). -The boats to Harbour Island or Spanish Wells is around $5 per person. Late boat rides back to the island depending on the day. -Bring cash. The closest ATM is in Gov Harbour or Harbour Island. Not all places except credit cards. Again, I can't say enough good things about this house & area. If you're looking to unplug and get away from it all, this is the ideal place.”

“We loved everything about the place. The location on the island was perfect, the quick responses, but the beautiful landscaping was magnificent. It was truly a place of relaxation. Thank you so much for that. Also the book of knowledge (guide book put together) was very helpful. This was by far the best stay we have ever had at an airbnb. The Islanders all truly love Jade and Russel. You truly feel safe and welcomed the moment you enter cay Casita. It's a perfect and quiet get away from the daily hustle and bustle, and really allows you to recharge. We cannot wait to visit again. We truly felt it was by far the nicest place on the island, and you will agree once you see it too!”
