Enjoy the nature and scenery at Stubeck, at an altitude of 1,640 metres, in our log cabin all year round, whether you’re looking for an active or a more contemplative experience. The cottage is part of the Sonnalm Stubeck alpine village. Two huts serving food and drink are within a 10-minute walk. The artists’ town of Gmünd, with all its amenities, is just 12 km away. The chalet is a paradise for summer and winter hikers alike. Areas such as Katschberg and Lake Millstatt are within 25 km.

Our quietly located luxury chalet is on the edge of the forest in a small-scale holiday park, close to the village of Stadl an der Mur. The chalet is beautifully situated on a mountain slope, giving you a beautiful view over the mountains and the valley, with the village of Stadl in the distance. The living area of the chalet is 115m2, with a spacious and sunny terrace all around. In the immediate vicinity are the beautiful and cozy ski areas of Kreischberg, Katschberg and Turracher Höhe.

Our ski chalet is close to The Austrian Alps which means we are near several major ski resorts the nearest being the kreischberg ski resort, just a 7 minute drive away. The chalet is clean and modern and has everything you would need for a self catering holiday with the luxury of a family sauna. The chalet is good for couples, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). Please note there are extra charges for cleaning to be paid locally, see house rules below.

In winter, you can explore the slopes in Kreischberg, Turracher Höhe, and Obertauern, or go sledding, or snowshoe hiking, ... Maybe you prefer the summer season for walking, cycling, swimming, ... The Red Bull Ring is not too far and you can do a city trip to Salsburg, Villach, or Klagenfurt.

Your first look early in the morning takes you through the former town bridge of the Peitler Chalet and meets the impressive massif of the equestrian corner. My chalet is idyllically located in the Karneralm, the highest mountain village in the Salzburg region at 1,900 meters above sea level. The accommodation is ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy seclusion and tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of mass tourism. Dogs are also welcome here!
