Located nearby to the Acadia Highway (aka Route 1), we are close by to historic Fort Knox, Castine, and Acadia. Enjoy our attached “Greenhouse” which has been made over into a delightful screenhouse/patio, the country setting, blueberry fields, and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets! The house faces south towards the water and overlooks a gorgeous blueberry field that turns a majestic shade of deep red in the fall. Mini Moose sits on our 75 + acres of Maine woods. It is small but should have everything you need for your Maine camping experience. Two miles from coastal village of Blue Hill. We have had 7 years of successful rentals. Fire pit & view of the pond from the deck, private getaway. Wonderful walking path around 2 ponds, swimming is allowed and a contemplative walking labyrinth between the ponds. Only 45 minute drive to Acadia National Park and close to all that Downeast Maine has to offer.

Enjoy the peacefulness from the screened in porch which overlooks the lake after a day of hiking in Acadia National Park. You will hear the call of the loons while relaxing.

If you are looking for a place to get away and relax, our house on Molasses Pond may be a good fit for you/your family. It is a hidden gem down a dirt road away from hustle and bustle. Peace and quiet is what you’ll find, along with a gorgeous view. It’s a great place for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, grilling, fishing, and laying on the hammock. Snow Sweet at The Appleton Retreat is very private, check out the Trail Map. This contemporary yurt faces the Field of Dreams and has a nice view of Appleton Ridge. It features a private therapeutic hot tub on the deck, a fire pit, and fast wifi. The Appleton Retreat encompasses 120 acres hosting six unique retreats. To the south is the Pettengill Stream, a resource protected area. To the north is the Nature Conservancy's 1300 acre reserve.
