Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Casa Igarapé: Eco clay hut with hydro and view

Casa Igarapé is an ecological hut at the foot of the Serra de Igarapé, made with raw earth, steel, wood and ceramics. The getaway integrates with the atmosphere: from the balcony or the spa you have an open view of the hills, with intense sunsets and starry skies without the city lights. Everything is silence, broken only by toucans and siriemas. Good for remote work with concentration. Between Itaúna and Inhotim, it is ideal for romantic couples of Belo Horizonte and region or other cities, looking for peace and coziness.

Our modern earth home is a cozy, craftsman-built nest that treats its visitors to light, open space & color. It has a quiet, private setting with everything needed to make your stay comfortable &, hopefully, inspired. The outdoors is this home's other half, creating an enveloping amphitheater of gardens, birds, trees & a hammock. Beyond this private nest are 360 degree views of the Sangre de Christo Mountains, the Rio Grande Gorge, spectacular sunset displays & miles of walking & bike trails.

Wee Nook- a Hobbit Hole

Wee Nook is a 360 square foot living space with a full kitchen and bathroom. It is tucked underground in the middle of the woods. Please come enjoy the woods, farm animals, trails, pond and wide open space while you're here! As JRR Tolkien said: “In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hold, and that means comfort.”

Dreamy Living Treehouse Above Park City w/Skylight

Bring your childhood dreams to life by going on a real treehouse adventure! This beautiful, one-of-a-kind escape is situated at 8,000 feet and embraced by a 200 year old fir. Accessible only by 4x4/AWD (snow chains required Oct-May), it features a lofted bedroom with skylight, kitchen, hot-water bathroom, main room with 270-degree glass windows and large private deck. Be prepared for small spaces and lots of stairs with breathtaking views of the Uintas that are nothing short of spectacular!

The Bread Oven

Charming old half-timbered bread oven, located on the edge of the stream, it consists of: - Living room with a wood-burning stove, - Kitchen, - Upstairs: - shower/WC room accessible by a miller ladder (see photos), -bedroom with a 160 x 200 bed overlooking the stream, accessible by a miller ladder (see photos), Bedroom and bathroom do not communicate. Hobbit House - @holyhousebr

Our stays are offered in 3-month seasons, according to the seasons of the year: spring, summer, autumn and winter. Holyhousebrazil wants the guest to experience the feeling of being close to nature, in the tranquility of Serra do Japi. For this reason, our accommodations do not have TV, and our target audience is couples. The intention is to take these days to talk, relax, read a good book and contemplate the Serra do Japi.

A cabin nestled in the middle of a wonderful property with dozens of small waterfalls and several streams and springs of pristine water. One of the few places in the world where you can drink directly from the streams as some originate on the property.
