Explore Ancient West Cornwall From a Charming Apartment

Awaken in a bright, cheerful space with views of a quaint village from first floor windows. A cottage-like feel is created by painted wood panelling and traditional furnishings designed for comfort. Have breakfast at table nestled under a skylight. Situated in a peaceful Cornish village, Little Anvil occupies a central position (both the north and south coast are within easy reach) ideal for exploring beautiful West Cornwall. A newly converted first-floor apartment which forms part of the owners 18th century cottage, one of the oldest in the village. With its own private entrance, the apartment is full of character, with luxurious touches and modern appliances - a welcoming and comfortable place to return to after your day out. In addition to this we are next door to the village pub, where you can relax with a drink in the beer garden, have a meal or chat with locals. The pub also has a small shop for essential supplies. The open plan living/kitchen area is well equipped with a large flat screen, Smart TV for relaxing in the evening, plus a Bluetooth speaker for your music and free wi-fi. If you like to cook the kitchen/dining area facilities include an induction hob, full size oven, large fridge-freezer and dishwasher. There is also a washer-dryer should you need it, and heating for the colder months. The bedroom is decorated in a relaxing French style with a king-size bed, luxurious linen, and an en-suite shower room. If you are bringing your dog with you there is an enclosed outdoor courtyard area for convenience, which also has a covered storage area for bicycles/kayak. The nearest town is the historic market town of Helston (4 miles), famous for its Spring celebration - Flora Day. The thriving and pretty coastal town of Falmouth is a short drive (for visitors to the University campus, it is only a 10min drive) and the beautiful port of Porthleven with its many fine restaurants is also within a 15-20minute drive. Nearby is the stunning coastline of The Lizard Peninsula, or you could travel towards the evocative and mysterious landscape of West Penwith, stopping to visit St Michaels Mount on your way to unforgettable St Ives and beyond. West Cornwall has so many stunning places to visit, that we hope you will want to return time and again. Sole and private access to all areas of apartment with own private entrance and key for coming and going! The apartment also has an enclosed courtyard area with storage for bikes if required. The apartment is in the village of Porkellis, close to art and culture, restaurants, a beach, and family-friendly activities. West Cornwall is known for its heathland, golden sand, artists' colonies, ancient stone circles, and Iron Age villages. We are in a rural location, so a car is highly recommended. However there is a bus stop just outside the apartment, but village buses are mysterious infrequent animals. The nearest town is Helston, approx 4 miles, and the nearest train station, Redruth is 8 miles. The A30, which is the main road connecting Cornwall with the rest of the UK is approx 10 miles. Nearest ferry port is Plymouth (50 miles) and the nearest Airport is Newquay (31 miles). The nearest international airport is Bristol (166 miles) The apartment has its own entrance and courtyard and is adjacent to the main house which is occupied by the owners.

With its open fire, sunny courtyard, and vintage feel, this romance of this cottage will ensure your break on the stunning north Cornish coast will be a break to remember. Sleep like a baby in a luxury ViSpring bed with The White Company Egyptian cotton bed linen. Pop on the fluffy dressing gowns and relax as you chill in front of the open fire, or you could just pop to the quaint historic country pub a few yards down the road on your return from one of the many stunning beaches. One up 3 down boutique 300 year old cottage, a superb romantic bijoux retreat. Downstairs there is a wet room with fired earth tiles, underfloor heating, jam pan basin and Soap Co toiletries, quarry tiled floor to the kitchen with stable door. Dishwasher, ceramic hob and neff oven, butler sink. Dualit toaster and Kettle and ROK coffee maker. Integrated fridge. The lounge has a open fire with coal, kindling supplied. Luxury Leather sofa and dining area for 2. Smart TV with Netflix The bedroom has double bed with top of the range "Vi Sprung" mattress, "The White Company" Egyptian cotton linen. Dressing gowns and slippers are also provided. A vintage style record player and vinyl records are also in the bedroom. A selection of vinyl is also provided but why not bring your own special song and surprise your partner. Wifi included. Courtyard enclosed garden, with outside power, seating, lighting and cobblestones. As soon as you arrive you will be able to make that cup of tea, we provide tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil, freshly ground coffee, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and fresh flowers. We also provide a few goodies for yourself and should you book you dog in a welcome pack for your furry friend. Dogs are charged at £20 per booking. You will have the whole of the property and the outside courtyard all to yourselves. Keynvor is a bright, airy barn conversion in a small farm complex which formerly belonged to the National Trust. The farmhouse dates from the 1650s and the barns from the 19th century. The garden affords fabulous ocean views, and is a sun trap when the weather co-operates. There is a gentle 10-15 minute walk through woodland to the nearest beach, which is on the South West Coast Path, and it is possible to walk to Falmouth or Helford Passage along the coast.
