Our Family Cabin is great for couples, solo adventurers and families. The Cabin is not a resort but a semi-rustic, fully functional cabin, with great views and a peaceful setting. Being a cabin surrounded by woods, fields, ponds you may see on any day deer, turkeys, cranes, fish and the occasional bear. The Finger Lakes are just 45-60 mi away with many wineries and breweries. The Theodore Friendly House was built in 1880 in the Queen Anne style with Eastlake details throughout. Located in the Near Westside National Historic District, which is a prime location near Downtown Elmira's shops, restaurants, theaters, museums, arena, churches, and bars. We hope to again in the future, if the current costs go down. A family built, tiny, timber frame. We are in a farming community, and several Amish farms dot our road.
