Walk to the Beach from a Hip, Architect-Designed Haven

The Apartment Our apartment has been a labour of love for many years and we are pleased to be able to share it with others. It was our permanent residence until recently, and we now use it as our weekender and holiday apartment. Great care and attention have gone in to the renovation of this 1960's apartment, including an architect designed interior inspired by contemporary Scandinavian design. Apartment features Apart from the carefully chosen design elements, the apartment is light-filled and maximises its North/South orientation. It is part of a quiet and friendly group of 6, with no adjoining walls. The modern kitchen, dining and lounge is open-plan and features integrated kitchen and lounge room joinery. The kitchen includes a Smeg 6-burner gas cooktop and electric oven, full sized fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, stove top coffee maker and all of the crockery, glassware and kitchen utensils you will need. The bedroom features a quality queen-size pillow-top mattress and ample built-in wardrobes for your use. The contemporary bathroom features quality European and Australian made products with a shower, separate bath and wall-hung toilet. A private South-facing balcony is available for your use as well a private laundry with washing machine, iron and ironing board. There is also a North-facing balcony, ideal for a relaxing coffee. A Daikin split system unit for heating and cooling ensures year-round comfort. Free undercover, off-street, parking for one vehicle is provided and free 24-hour street parking surrounds the property. Guests have use of all amenities, except for the second bedroom which is used for personal storage and remains locked. Feel free to message me for any tourist recommendations whether it be for city, beach or surrounding Adelaide wine region advice. We would be happy to help out! Set in the quiet beachside community of Somerton Park, the apartment is steps away from stunning beaches, vibrant cafes, and restaurants. Glenelg and Glenelg South's shops and boutiques are within walking distance. - Less then 250 metres to Glenelg South/Somerton Beach. - 1 km to The Broadway, Glenelg South. (cafes, restaurants, hotels, wine bars, supermarkets and specialty stores) - 1km to Bath Street Foodland Supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, post office and specialty stores. - 1.6km to Glenelg Jetty and Jetty Road Glenelg (via Esplanade) Jetty Road is a popular shopping and restaurant precinct. - 1.6km to Moseley Square Tram stop (Travel time to CBD and Adelaide Oval is 30 minutes). - 2km to Glenelg Cinema (Events GU Film House - Jetty Road) - 3.5km to Jetty Road, Brighton. (Cafe, restaurant and shopping precinct). - 1.5km to Somerton Surf Life Saving Club and Kiosk. - 1.7km to Glenelg Surf Life Saving Club. - 2.2km to Glenelg Football and Cricket Club. - 5.7km to Adelaide Sailing Club. - 6.3km to Brighton and Seacliff Yacht Club. - 10km to Adelaide Domestic/International airport - 13km to CBD. - Bus stop located on Tarlton Street to CBD. Heritage Style and Coastal Accents at a Cosy Retreat

Take a 3-minute stroll to the foreshore path for a morning jog along the coast, then relax with a coffee on the plant-strewn patio. Polished floorboards and high ceilings keep things classic, while the monochrome bathroom adds a modern feel. You have a separate entrance and hand sanitizer is provided. The living room and bedroom retain their polished floorboards and high ceilings. The bathroom also retains a heritage style. The galley kitchen has stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee machine and washing machine. There is air-conditioning for cooling and heating. The living room has a queen size sofa bed. The kitchen is well equipped so you could make your own meals but there are many nearby restaurants and cafes. The apartment is between Broadway with niche restaurants, cafes, butcher, supermarket plus takeaways and Jetty Rd with its “golden mile of shopping”, restaurants and nightlife. Three minutes to the beach and foreshore path for exercise. You have separate access along a leafy pathway as the apartment is located towards the centre of the property, it is quiet with no street noise. We are always on call if you have a question. The neighbourhood is residential, just a 3-minute walk from the beach. The apartment is within easy reach of a choice of cafes on nearby Broadway and 7 minutes from Jetty Road for other food choices. It is a 3-minute walk to the beach, 7 minutes to Jetty Rd and the tram to the City. The tram leaves frequently from Glenelg to the City. Bus stop is 3 minutes away with buses to City or Marion shopping centre. There is plenty of access to on street parking available.

Explore Amazing Beaches from a Fabulous Glenelg Apartment

The location of this unit is perfect . To just step out the front door and straight onto the white sandy beach is fantastic. My unit has all the modern equipment required for an enjoyable & comfortable stay. I'm available 24/7 for any queries or issues . Amenities for young children can be organised so please contact me as I do have suitable furniture that can be arranged. eg ( cot or single bed and children's toys ) The unit is equipped with a Smart TV , wifi and unlimited Netflix. The unit can be accessed from both entrances off Kent Street. Please be mindful of the neighbours with the noise levels. I'm Available 24/7 for any queries or issues. The apartment is in Glenelg, which is famous for its beaches. It has an abundance of cafes, shops, pubs, and a great children’s playground. It’s an 8-minute walk to the jetty. The Glenelg tram goes directly to Adelaide CBD. Glenelg has plenty of public transport available. The Glenelg Tram can take you directly to Adelaide CBD. It leaves at regular intervals from Moseley Square which is 8mins walk from the unit.The Adelaide Metro buses leave from the stop in Moseley Street at the end of the Street. The Adelaide CBD is approx. 11.5kms away & the Airport is just 9km away. Glenelg, known for it's famous beaches but also has amazing walking and bike paths along the foreshore. If you like a bit of adventure you can ride to the north and explore Henley beach. To the south is Brighton beach which is also well known for its great restaurants and shopping. The Glenelg tram takes you directly to Adelaide CBD. Also you can organize many day trips from glenelg.

The Nook is the sweetest little cottage built around 1870 in the original Glenelg village and just a short walk to the white sands of Glenelg beach and cafes. Recently refurbished, the cottage is white and light and full of charm. Enjoy a bbq in the private garden or cosy up to a lounge room fire while enjoying that red wine you just purchased in nearby Mclaren Vale or Adelaide Hills.
