Der er kort afstand til bymiljø med restauranter, indkøb og iskiosker m.m. samt en smuk lille havn. Det er muligt at køre og cykle til lille Vildmose(centeret) Køreafstand til Vikingeborgen Fyrkat i Hobro samt den smukke Mariager fjord. Området arrangerer mange aktiviteter for børn og voksne. Der er ofte musik på torvet.
