There are views of the surrounding Devon hills and 'The Byes' riverside walk is close by. Country House on a Farm

Converted barn in 100 acres of land. A home from home crammed with books, games and toys. Easily accommodates at least 10 people comfortably. The garden, pond, woods and parking areas are all exclusively yours for the stay. We live up the lane from the barn. So you have privacy. We have chickens, ducks, Sheep and pigs on the farm. 5 mins drive from J28 of the M5. 20mins from Exeter centre. Not near any good beaches so don't choose us for a beach holiday. There is no spa or hot tub.

It's a great base for walking, cycling, touring, shopping, eating and drinking ...and curling up in front of the log fire. Sidbury village is a 20 min walk away. And Sidmouth, on the Jurassic Coast, is just a 4 mile drive. A few days at Filcombe will leave you relaxed, refreshed and keen to come back!

Exeter airport is a 30-minute drive away and Honiton has a train station with good links to Exeter and London.

Socialise if you wish or stay and hunker down. Help yourself to Home made granola, berries, and juice from the fridge. Organic tea and coffee. A 20 minute walk from the beach along a tranquil riverside foot and cycle path, through the beautiful Byes parkland. There is on street parking directly out front.

Safe Harbour is less than a 3 minute walk to the seafront, shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Over 100 years old but a modernised and fresh cottage comfortable for couples or family groups of up to 7 (+baby). Free wifi, dvd player, freesat, mp3 player. Well equipped kitchen, dining room and cosy lounge, 3 bedrooms, family bathroom, cloakroom a true home from home. For younger visitors a pleasant play park, cinema and indoor swimming pool are a stones throw away.
