Kihachikan South Nozawa Onsen

Kihachikan South is a luxurious and homely family chalet. It has three bedrooms; one double, one twin and one smaller single room. The light filled, open plan kitchen and living room features a locally made oak kitchen that includes a Miele oven and induction hob and Miele dishwasher. The kitchen is fully supplied with all the main amenities including; a rice cooker, toaster, microwave, coffee machine and full cooking utensils should they be required. The comfy sofa seating area focusses around a cast iron pellet stove and the latest Bang & Olufsen television and sound system including live feed from the ski hills and Netflix. The daily readings from the traditional barograph will keep you ahead of the weather apps …….. possibly! The bedrooms maintain a traditional feel with shoji windows, wooden beams and authentic wall coverings with the addition of discreet blinds, wooden flooring and western style beds. The bedroom wardrobes in Japanese oak were made to order in Nagano. The bathrooms include walk in showers with locally made hinoki shower benches. The upstairs bathroom with both slate and wooden flooring also contains a separate seating area and large bath tub. The upstairs bathroom enjoys great views over to Togari and Mount Myoko. Dyson hair dryers are supplied in the two main bedrooms. The artwork throughout the Kihachikan South is a mixture of original Japanese woodblock prints and an extensive collection of original 16th & 17th century antique maps of Asia. Kihachikan South has a Miele washing machine and separate Miele clothes dryer.The ski, board and boot room is downstairs and shared with Kihachikan North and contains snow shoes for guest use (when available).

Vacation Rental (C’s house) Chill out in rural !

Old fashioned cosy house has 3 bedroom sleeps up to 5 or 6 ideally located in the gateway of the Shiga Kogen National park. The private house enjoys ample parking and stunning panoramic views of open farmland and the mountains range. You can spend a cool summer away from the hot and humid Japan. Gorgeous hiking routes in Shiga Kogen are 30 minutes drive beyond, which Suzie will suggest the best route for you. 30 mins walkaway to Snow mokey park, 10 mins away to best Onsen(Waku Waku no yu).

Relax and enjoy the slow life in Nagano's mountainous countryside. In winter, go skiing - there are 15+ ski resorts within an hour, including Shiga Kogen, Nozawa, Madarao and Myoko. You can also snowshoe from the property. In summer, visit Ryuo SORA Terrace by riding one of the largest gondolas in the world. Ninjin House- warm modern Japanese home.

Well insulated ecohouse; built with natural materials, insulation and wooden cladding. Hydronic panel heaters, using energy efficient heat pumps. Cosy rooms and clean dry air quality inside the house. Solar panels offset energy use. Close to Shinkansen- Easy access to Tokyo Great views over the valley! The apartment is on the 1st and 2nd floors. Close to 'Sparena' Hot Sprngs. Terrace and great views. Short walk to village center, shops restaurants and free local onsens.
