Nowadays, there are more and more fake Japans created for tourists in Japan, but in this traditional house you can experience authentic Japanese life. In this spacious 5LDK house, you can relax on the tatami mats and sleep on futons. You can enjoy the same scenery and go shopping at the same supermarket as the locals, just like a authentic Japanese life. The house is also decorated with traditional Japanese seasonal decorations. You can also enjoy barbecues and sunbathing in the garden.

Embrace the “slow life.” The space is a renovated private bungalow next to our main house. Surrounded by trees and quiet, it's an oasis to unwind, unplug, have lazy breakfasts and nap in the hammock. For more active travelers, it's a good base to explore the area. We are 9 km from Shimanto City restaurants and shopping and an easy drive to activities on Shimanto River or the beach. We do require a 2-night minimum but highly encourage you to slow down and stay longer.

Ricefields, Rivers and Mountains

This house is a beautiful blend of traditional and modern making it convenient but also a unique cultural experience. Mountains and ricefields are beside you, the Shimanto River can be heard. The first/ground floor is all yours. It's spacious with 2 tatami sleeping rooms. Your sleeping room has an air conditioner. There is no central heating. Restaurants are within 10min or you can shop for local foods and prepare it all in your own kitchen.

The observatory where the view of Kuma is seen. There is naturalness at 10 minutes at the abundant place by car from the center of Kuma.(It's possible to welcome and send off.) Barbecue is possible outside while seeing the night view and a starry sky in the evening. (Meal and the ingredients will be customer's bringing in.) It's possible to use a kitchen. It's possible to look a wonderful sea of cloud to be lucky in the morning.

森の中のポツンと一軒家。宮大工さんがつくった数少ない立派な古民家で、山暮らしを楽しみませんか。ジブリのような森の道を進んだ先にある家では、BBQをしたり、焚火をしたり、五右衛門風呂を沸かしたり、山の中だからこそできる自然遊びを満喫できます。街灯がひとつもなく、夜は満天の星空がみられることもあります。季節ごとにみられる山の姿を全身で感じながら過ごすひと時は現代では忘れ去られた心安らぐ豊かな時間を思い出させてくれます。 立派な大黒柱を中心に、土壁や備え付け収納など昔ながらそのままの古民家ですが、1階は全面無垢の杉板となっており、新しさも感じさせます。水回りは新設のアイランドキッチンや大きな洗面ボウルが特徴的です。お風呂は薪、ガス兼用の五右衛門風呂で薪で炊くことも温水を出すこともできます。 家の外には人懐っこい看板猫の青助がいて、外にいるとすり寄ってきます。 石鎚登山ロープウェイまで車で15分程度の位置にあるため、登山にも行きやすい立地です。
