The Schoolhouse Cottage

Our Airbnb was a one room schoolhouse & has been converted into a one bedroom, one bath country escape with a fully equipped kitchen! The queen bed accommodates two guests, & a folding cot is available for a third guest. Children are welcome! However, we cannot accommodate pets. Enjoy sitting by the fire pit, or visiting historic downtown Marshall. This is a private stand alone unit, but the owners live next door & are available during your stay. While WiFi is available, it is country internet.

Private country atmosphere in city located on 7 acres. Lots of large pine and oak trees, birds, and catch and release from onsite pond. Plenty of room for horse or boat trailers to park. 5 to 10 minutes from restaurants and stores if your not in mood to cook. Daily pet fee $10.00 per day per pet due check in 2pets. 30 lb. limit unless you talk with us first. NO CATS. You will need to provide animal crate if pet is left alone in cabin. After 10PM inquires will be answered the next morning

In the 1890’s Charles Ginocchio, owner of the Ginocchio Hotel and the Ginocchio home, had this home built by C. G. Lancaster for Emile Meyers, who operated a saloon in the hotel. Emile, an immigrant from Alsace-Lorraine continued to work at the hotel for many years. During the prohibition era, he converted the saloon into a soda fountain.
