Custom built, hand hewn log cabin. Completed late September of 2018, everything about this home was completely personalized. Nestled on an 11 acre pecan orchard, the cabin offers the best of both worlds with that country cabin feel while at the same time being only minutes away from the commerce of US Hwy 27. 5 minutes to the Fishing Creek Boat Ramp and 8 minutes to Lee's Ford Marina. Our family had a wonderful time building this cabin and we hope you will come and enjoy it over and over again!

Small cabin close to town

Cabin was built by my grandparents about 40 years ago using timber cut from the land. Cabin is about 5 miles from town but feels country. Road is quite, with just local traffic, local being the people that live on the road. Very quite setting. Great place to relax where ever you find yourself, wither it is in the house, on one of the porches, or in the yard. House also has a fire pit in the back yard, & a charcoal gill if you want to grill out. We are pet friendly!

Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. New circle concrete drive big enough to pull a boat through - no need to back up! Flat green space, spacious enough for parking RV or boat or for kids to play around. The side patio hosts a small charcoal grill, table with 4 chairs and an umbrella. Inside includes a full size comfy couch, table with 4 chairs, and a recliner chair. All TVs are Smart TVs! Non-smoking!

The property is right in the middle of downtown. Walking distance to the square and all the happenings of the Somernites Cruise that take place the 4th Saturday of every month from April to October. The home is spacious in the room sizes and the layout. Enjoy the front porch for relaxing or the back screened-in porch to read a book. Sometimes there is a neighbor who has a dog that barks a couple housss down, I’m sorry if it does, doesn’t happen often
