Colonel Hasbrouck’s 1735 Stone House, Street Level

Step through the red door into a designated landmark dating from 1735. Light from tall colonial Dutch windows reflects off the hand-restored wide-board floors and the decorative fireplace. There’s a backyard view through the split Dutch door. The apartment is cleaned according to Airbnb's enhanced cleaning protocol. It has a small Roku TV, and an infant pack and play, high chair, and bouncer seat. Internet is powered by the fastest tier available. Downstairs you'll find a bright and airy living room in the front, the light from the tall colonial dutch windows reflected off of the hand-restored original wide-board floors. Past the large decorative fireplace is a newly renovated full kitchen and dining nook, with a backyard view through the split dutch door. Upstairs is a modest but modern bathroom with a heated towel rack, and two bedrooms, each with a 12" queen-sized memory foam mattress on a solid steel frame. For your comfort, the apartment has its own heating and cooling controls, with separate programmable thermostats for upstairs and downstairs. Check-in is done automatically via keypad (your personal code is sent via email when you book), but we’re right next door to answer your questions or point you to a good restaurant. The Colonel Abraham Hasbrouck House is in the historical Stockade district. At the center of Kingston, the first capital of New York State, the neighborhood is charming and walkable with some great restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops. Here's how most folks get here. By bus: 5 minutes on foot from the Trailways bus terminal, about 2 hours from the Port Authority By car: 3 minutes from exit 19 of I-87, about a 90-minute drive from the GW bridge. By train: 20 minutes by car from the Rhinecliff Amtrak station, about 2 hours by train from Penn Station If you're coming by car, parking is free on our street, and finding a spot is usually pretty easy on weekends and weekdays after 5pm. Otherwise, there are 3 paid municipal lots you can use, all within two blocks. We've taken a lot of care to preserve the original wide-board floors, but since they came from trees that started growing before Henry Hudson came up the river, they're crooked and creaky. Take care when walking on them and the stairs to the bedrooms upstairs, and feel free to use the slippers we've provided.

Cozy Log Cabin Vibes at a Peaceful Studio on a Small Farm

Whip up a light lunch in the farmhouse-style kitchen, then head out to the picnic area for a leisurely afternoon in the sun. Overlook the tranquil pond from this welcoming, wooden retreat with patterned Italian tiles and grand cathedral ceilings. The space is cozy with a mix of finishes. A bit of rustic and a bit of classic. Out the back , overlooking the field is a patio space that is accessible for your use, weather permitting. We have snacks and basics for meal preparation. Breakfast stuff such as eggs, muffins, and oatmeal. The kitchen is stocked for guest use. You're welcome to enjoy the pond and picnic area. There are plenty of good restaurants in the surrounding area, from bar food to fine dining. Hiking in the Catskills is abundant, with routes of differing ranges of difficulty. Summer brings festivals, while winter brings snow activities. There's a bus stop in Woodstock if you don't drive and taxi service from there. It's fine if you plan to stay in, but if you want to get around to other places it's best to drive. We have a several flyers and local magazines in the foyer for ideas on where to go and what to see. On the door are the basic guidelines and on the desk is a binder of information on local restaurants, stores, ect... If you need other resources please feel free to ask. There are plenty of good restaurants in the surrounding area, from bar food to fine dining. Hiking in the Catskills is abundant, with many ranges of difficulty. Summer brings festivals, while winter brings snow activities.

Includes 1 bedroom(Queen), private kitchen/dinning room, living room and a bathroom. The townhouse is restored with beautiful, vintage details but also with all the comforts of modern living like high speed Wifi, digital thermostats and entry to the home via smart lock. *additional one time fee of $25 to set up air mattress for 2 guests. All guests are welcome to use all facilities on our property; including our backyard. The apartment is in the heart of historic uptown Kingston. It’s within walking distance of many of the sights of the uptown Stockade district of New York’s first capital. Explore the weekend farmers’ market, restaurants, museums, and music venues. The Bau Guesthouse is easily accessible by bus or by car. It is 7min walk from the Kingston Trailways bus stop and 5min drive from I-87 throughway exit 19. Parking on our street is metered Monday - Saturday 9am to 5pm. Also free street parking is available just around corner from us.
