Enjoy the joys of children on property and views of incredible mountains with the wildlife that frequents our "back yard". Relax in our private guest area locked off from the rest of our home including a kitchenette and laundry area, all separated from the rest of the house by a custom built and locking doorway. We accept dogs but cannot accept cats due to other guests’ allergies. There is a pet fee.

Owner managed, with personal service! Warm, cozy, southwestern ranch home 100 feet from the South Arkansas river. We built it in 2014 on 20-acres with a private drive, 900' of riverfront with a trail, superb privacy with great views; its only 3.5-miles from downtown Salida and 18-miles from Monarch. We have a big garden, and chickens and ducks (fresh eggs in season!), and we're frequented by visits from deer, great-horned owls, red-tailed hawks, and sometimes wild turkeys and elk!

Winter Tree Cabin

Our cabin is perfectly located in the small mountain town of Buena Vista. It’s a short distance to downtown, South Main, and the gold medal fishing and world class whitewater on the Arkansas River. However, it has a quiet secluded feel and easy access to the hot springs that are just outside of town. You’ll love our cottage because of the well-kept stylish interior, the park-like outdoor space, and great views. It’s an ideal base camp for couples and solo adventurers.

This charming two-bedroom historic home built in 1908, STR license number 0401, offers relaxing mountain stays just a short walk from the charm of downtown Salida. The location offers easy access to local skiing, hiking, biking, rafting and kayaking in the Arkansas Valley. We do allow dogs. It is a $100 non-refundable pet deposit for UP TO 2 dogs. The Arkansas River runs through town a block away and the downtown park and amphitheater is within earshot. The condo is the newly remodeled second floor of a 1899 built historic building, come enjoy our town and the historic beginning of Colorado mountain living.
