Places to stay in Walterville
The house is 1/2 mile from Mckenzie Willamette Hospital, 1 mile from downtown Springfield and is a good place to crash if traveling up and down I-5. It is close to local restaurants, breweries, parks and the bike path. I like to provide my guests a quiet, easy atmosphere in a simple little house. The room has a full bed and TV with streaming device - no cable. Light breakfast foods such as bagels, toast, fruit and coffee are also provided.
The house is small but comfortable. There is a hostile like vibe around the house with abnb travelers staying in my cute retro Jet camper set up in my large backyard. I live in the house along with a roommate, my dog Koosah and cat Soce. I frequently dog sit for friends so there is often a small pack of friendly dogs hanging around. The bathroom is shared with the Airbnb guests and is located across the hall from both Airbnb rooms. On nice days the patio and the large back yard with its huge apple tree is a nice place to relax.
We are in a quiet neighborhood with lots of children at play. Only about a mile away from cute downtown Springfield with great local restaurants, breweries and parks!
  • This place was adorable! Very easy to check in, very comfortable and would definitely stay again.

Cute little 1965 Jet camper located in a large back yard. We are 1/2 mile from Mckenzie Willamette Hospital, 1 mile from downtown Springfield with great local restaurants, breweries and parks & bike paths. The bed is bigger than a twin but a bit smaller than a full. Two people who aren't afraid of being close can fit :) There is a kitchenette with a gas stove and small cooler to keep a few of your things cool. The shared bathroom is located in the main house.
This little camper is set up in a large back yard complete with raspberry bushes, an apple tree, fire pit and chickens! The inside is kept simple and comfortable. There is a small kitchenette with a gas stove and a few dishes, pans and coffee maker. There is also a sitting area to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening or a cup of joe in the morning. The bathroom is located inside the house and is shared with other Airbnb guests staying inside the house. I live in the house with my roommate and very friendly dog Koosah and cat Soci. Both of them enjoy the back yard and love visitors. If you leave the door to the camper open Koosah will make herself at home in your space :) I often dog sit and have friends over who bring their friendly dogs so don't be surprised if you see a small pack hanging out in the back yard!
We are in a quiet friendly neighborhood with children at play. Close to downtown Springfield with great local restaurants, breweries and parks!
  • Clean, quiet, and comfortable, we had a wonderful stay in Carri's antique trailer. And if you are visiting Eugene / Springfield or just passing through you should have your own wonderful stay too!

  • Carri's place is full of warmth and detailed hospitality. There is a really cozy, relaxed vibe with many amenities. The camper trailer as well as her home is stylish with extra touches to delight the heart. I felt like I was a kid again when my grandparents would take me and my siblings/cousins camping. Highly rated experience!

  • We got in late the night of our arrival, and Carri made sure we knew we could contact her if we needed anything, but we didn’t because getting in was a breeze! The camper was already heated when we came inside and we were greeted by Soci the cat. Although the restroom was in the house it was easy to get to and super clean! Would definitely return :)

Welcome to my cozy Springfield home! Sit by the fire and get lost in a good book or hang out in the garden and enjoy the flowers on a sunny day. My house is a short (ten minutes or less) drive to downtown Eugene and 1.5 miles to downtown Springfield where you'll find coffee shops, restaurants, and a great beer hall. I'm happy to point you to food, bars, hikes and hot springs (only 50 min away!). My home stays quiet during the week and on the weekend I'm usually out on an adventure.
My home has an nice open floor plan with a huge bay window facing the backyard. The backyard was established by a true green-thumb. My garden blooms magnificently in the spring and summer. Passion flower, daffodils, and roses offer nectar to hummingbirds and shade little critters. Bonita my dog (woof!) uses the dog door and stays home during the day. She is low-key, loves snuggling, and is very well mannered. I live on a side street with minimal through traffic and street parking is plentiful. I am a short drive from U of O/NCU, I-5, Matthew Night Arena, and Autzen.
Springfield is a quiet town nestled between the McKenzie and Willamette Rivers. Walking distance to the McKenzie-Willamette hospital, a mom-and-pop diner (with giant biscuits and gravy), a park/skate park, and a 10 min cruise to downtown Eugene. On the weekends I like to take my dog to Dorris Ranch, a hazelnut orchard that has been converted into a public park. There's a lot to see and do in the area whether you are here for a weekend getaway or for a business trip. I particularly like the Public House, a beer and dining hall inside an old church and my favorite coffee shop is only 1.5 miles away. Dorris Ranch and Clearwater Park are lovely outdoor areas worth seeing. Mt. Pisgah is a short drive away too. The beach, mountains, and hot springs are all within an hour's drive!
  • great , clean space would stay again 👍🏽

The room was very comfortable and quiet. He has made a list of lots of suggestions for food, beer, entertainment in and around Springfield.

  • Michael and Judy offered us such flexibility and care! The space is beautiful, clean and cozy inside, and the view of the river from all the living areas is totally spectacular. We couldn’t be more appreciative for this gem of a getaway and highly recommend it to anyone! The hosts were so accommodating and helpful and made it possible for us to really sink in and appreciate our time there without any worries. All the extra hospitality was above and beyond our expectations, and we will definitely return.

    Kalil2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Didn’t see Judy but she really made the place cozy and was very responsive. The river view from the deck balcony is unbeatable!

    McKenzie2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • When they say "place on the river," they mean it! The view is spectacular, as are the accommodations. I wish I could add an extra star for how incredibly thoughtful Judy and Michael were in greeting my mom with a small carrot cake and card for her birthday. We will surely be returning--5/5!

    Emma2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • You can expect a nice well kept place, an amazingly stocked kitchen, never-ending fuzzy blankets, a great view, and a great view.

    Alexandra2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful river views as the home is just feet from the McKenzie River. Very comfortable bed. Spacious living space for multiple guests. Great water pressure and hot water. Judy had great communication, extremely accommodating, and the thoughtful touches were nice. Would absolutely stay here again.

    Kyle2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved staying at Judy’s River Retreat! We were in town for a volleyball tournament and had everything we needed to relax between matches! Even though we visited in January, I still loved relaxing on the deck and listening to the river. I highly recommend this place and would definitely visit again!

    Jessica2020-01-20T00:00:00Z

Large upstairs bedroom with private bathroom, walk-in-closet, basic cable tv, ceiling fan and wifi. You have access to washer and dryer, and use of the kitchen. I am a single woman, so it is quiet in the house. I do have an outside cat named Sneaker.
The bedroom is big with a private bath and walkin closet. I have a pack and play and would welcome little ones. There is also room for a twin airbed if you would need one.
    The neighborhood is quiet.
  • Nice place to stay.

  • I had a great experience staying with Gwendolyn. She made me feel welcome and was very friendly. The space was great, with a big, comfy bed and private bathroom. Location was perfect for what I needed.

    Nicole2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The house is in a very quiet neighborhood. The private bedroom and bathroom were upstairs completely separate. I don’t usually sleep well, however I went out like a light and slept like a log each night. Fruit, water and breakfast bars were available in the kitchen. I was in town to visit family and Gwen was working at a girls’ wrestling tournament so we visited just briefly in person during my stay. There was good communication through Airbnb before during and after my stay. I really appreciate her super sleuth skills finding not only a couple of items I realized I left behind but also an item I hadn’t missed yet. I look forward to my next visit to the Big Room.

    Katy2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Big room with own bathroom - everything is very clean! Gwen is a very friendly host!!!

    Erica2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Gwendolyn’s place was just what I needed after an exhausting weekend. I slept 11 hours straight. I haven’t slept like that in years.

    Jeff2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Gwen was an amazing host! She is a very kind and sweet person. Her home was so cute and clean. We were only there to sleep for the most part but she was also very helpful with finding an athletic facility my sister was playing volleyball at. I was nothing but impressed with my stay at her home.

    Stasia2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Gwen is the best, a truly warm, friendly and generous hostess who wants her guests to feel at home in her comfortable house. It's a large bedroom with a clean and well appointed bathroom. You can't beat the value or hospitality!

A quiet escape, yet close to everything. We live along a creek, and close to the scenic McKenzie River. It is peaceful here, yet I-5 is only 15 minutes away. The top of the Cascade Mountains and the Pacific Ocean are each an hour and half drive. You'll have a private entrance, coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, toaster, wine cooler, TV, DVD player with a selection of DVDs, and a ping pong table in a bright 700 square foot room with bathroom and shared laundry room. Please see the photos.
The guest apartment was added to the house in 2008, when we wanted a space for our teens to gather with their friends, which worked really well. It is not a fully separate structure but it feels like one when we close the connecting door. Now that the kids have moved on, we have upgraded, adding amenities and furniture to make it a comfortable space for our guests. What's special? We frequently hear from guests that the spaciousness of the room and the quiet surroundings were beyond their expectations for the price. The vaulted ceiling, large windows and peaceful views give it an expansive feel. The large, comfy window seat; perfect for quiet conversation, reading, or a nap is another favorite amenity. In its separate nook with curtain, it makes a mini bedroom as well. A floor sink in the laundry room is handy for washing dogs, bikes, muddy shoes, etc. Kids and grown-ups alike enjoy playing ping pong, and the other games, toys, and books in the room. We try to make it pleasing for all ages while providing the rest that travelers need. We can sleep up to 7 guests and there is still plenty of room.--No tripping over each others' suitcases! Views to the east and west include horses and forestland. The room has a peaceful view to the southwest. Our rural road traffic is light. Our closest neighbors are across the creek and across the road; it's something like living on an island. Some of the natural sounds we love here are birdsong, summer crickets, and occasional serenades by coyotes or frogs. When our goats hear us coming to feed them, they make their excited "maa!" We continue to make improvements to our guest space. Recently, we added light blocking curtains, some decorative and kitchen elements, a dining table, and a wine cooler. We have met so many delightful folks and families; that is our favorite part of hosting. Thank you for considering our listing!
Our neighborhood is a rural community. The first white settlers arrived in the mid 1800's, and some of their descendants still live here. It's the kind of place where people know each other, and you wave at passers-by. Some folks raise cattle and hay, or manage their forestland, but nowadays, most work in town. One thing commuters love about living here is the stretch of the road that follows the McKenzie River between here and town. The guest apartment was added to the house in 2008, when we wanted a space for our teens to gather with their friends, which worked really well. Hence, it is not a fully separate structure but it feels like one when we close the connecting door. Now that the kids have mostly moved on, we have upgraded the space with better furnishings. And we removed the drum set!
  • We enjoyed being in such a quiet country space. Becky was a great communicator and helped us with a few hiccups along the way. We would definitely stay here again.

    Abby2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Becky is a five star host and her place is comfy and cozy. She took the time to make my son a very cool bed in the nook with the window seat. And there was coffee, milk, cereal, bananas and other necessary goodies! We will definitely stay here again within the Eugene area!

    Angie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place will get you out of the commotion of the city and give you an excellent view of the stars. Kind of sad we only stayed for one night!

    Troy2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Easy, private, clean, and comfortable. 5/5 would recommend!

    Stephen2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodations were perfect for our needs. We were travelling with kids and Becky made sure all the bedding was arranged specifically for our needs before we arrived. The house is located a little bit out of town in a beautiful setting, which was a peaceful retreat for us at the end of hectic days getting things done in town. Becky was available if we needed her, but gave us our privacy.

    Miles2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay and they accommodated us very well when we needed to stay another night.

    Paige2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Becky was a fantastic host! She made the experience personable by greeting us when we arrived. The space has notes in strategic places to answer any questions you may have. The location is beautiful and quiet. Would definitely stay again!

  • In my opinion, Neal & Sheri’s is the only place to stay when visiting the Springfield/ Eugene area.

    Rod2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • You will not regret staying here. Great people.

    Rebekah2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Neal and Sheri were great people with which to stay. They cooked a full breakfast for us, complete with eggs, pancakes, and even turkey sausages! We had a good time conversing with them as well, including finding out about tourist attractions in the area. The room was clean, came with the advertised bedding setup, and could be locked for privacy. There were multiple bathrooms with showers to use in the morning (in case other Airbnb guests got up around the same time) and there was adequate free parking on the street. Truly an awesome stay full of value for a great price! If Eugene is a stopping point on a future road trip, I definitely would look into booking with Neal and Sheri again.

A peaceful place on the edge of town, easy to find, easy to park, and very close to the freeway with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The yard is open and spacious on an acre with fantastic foliage, only one neighbor, and a great view. When it's time to relax this unit comes with an HD TV and subscription to Netflix.
The one bedroom apartment is disconnected form the main house, and is clean and spacious. It is simple yet comfortable and very relaxing.
This neighborhood is quiet and features more trees than homes. It is close to shopping centers and has easy access to both the freeway into the city and the highways to the mountains. The historic cemetery next door is the quietest neighbor you could ask for.
  • Very roomy space. Great place to stay with a furry friend because of the great space in the backyard.

    Zoe2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Even more wonderful than it seemed from photos. Great cozy space but not small, with all the amenities of a bigger house. Kaweah was very responsive and helped me book the place last minute, when the app would not let me. Highly recommend.

Beautiful home and 43 acre property we love to share. Large second master suite/private on-suite bath with amazing views from every window. Room includes a Cal-King Bed and a Full size poster bed. Lots to explore on our 43 acres with forest, ponds, views that never end and wildlife right outside. And only 15 minutes to the University of Oregon. Host are always available for recommendations or guides.
  • Excellent host, truly great people, personal space was large and yet comfortable. The location is to be revered, beautiful rolling grass and a view over the valley floor below, unmatched. Sun rises uninhibited, visible through out half the house. Sun sets uninhibited, visible through out the other half of the house. Beautiful.

    Daryl2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Breathtaking mountain views from every window. Comfortable beds and wonderful hot tub. Jack and Dana were great hosts, available for anything we needed. Having access to a kitchen was a big “must” for our trip, and theirs was beautiful and stocked with every kind of pot, pan, utensil and appliance we could imagine! The only downside to this property was the steep winding narrow dirt driveway that was pretty scary in the dark, especially in the fog!

    Nancy2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jack and Dana were amazing hosts. They were there when needed, but completely out of sight when not. The home is gorgeous with amazing views all around. I would return again definitely.

    Alisha2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • The place is up on a hill and very secluded and a beautiful piece of property. It has fantastic views and the sunrises and sunsets are absolutely stunning. Even though it’s secluded it’s just a few minutes down the hill to Springfield and only 20 minutes from the University of Oregon campus. The room we stayed in was upstairs, very large and had a king bed and a queen bed and our own private bathroom with a shower. It was very comfortable and immaculately clean. Jack was a perfect host. He gave us our privacy but if we ever needed anything he responded immediately. We enjoyed talking with he and Dana about the history of the place and all of the various activities he had going on. My son came up from the college a couple of times and Jack was very welcoming and accommodating to him. He enjoyed spending time relaxing with us and exploring the property. I can’t say enough good things and highly recommend the place. In the past when we came up to the University of Oregon to visit my daughter who has graduated and now my son who is a freshman we stayed at local hotels. In the future we will be staying here.

    Dustin2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely gorgeous! If you want to get away from the busy, crowded aspect of city life, this is the place to be! While everything you need is just 10mins to 25 mins away, you are up and away from it all with this amazing Air BnB. You will travel up a beautiful path, trees on both sides. If you're in the daytime, when you're almost to the house you will see a large pond with a sitting/relaxing area on your left. When you reach the top and hit the fork, make sure you take the path furthest to the right and you'll see it! Beautiful views, lots of wild life, pulling up at night there was a lot of deer, not in our way just eating out in the field. The house was gorgeous and Jack stayed up late to make sure we were greeted and had everything we needed after our long drive from Nevada. The room was perfect, very clean and organized. He had plenty of blankets, towels, and other necessities when staying, for us if we needed them. The next day, we got to enjoy walking around their property a little before heading out. I cannot express enough how truly beautiful it was! That night, we enjoyed the huge hot tub, drank some wine while it was raining. They had set up the hot tub and firepit for us to use when we got home from our very busy day. It was just what we needed! Their dogs are the cutest and their larger one, Koda was absolutely adorable, and energetic! She was fun to play with. Overall a very pleasant experience and fantastic hosts. I recommend this Air BnB to anyone traveling near Eugene or Springfield.

  • By the time I arrived at this place I had traveled hundreds of miles. I was tired and really looking forward towards the end of my trip. I loved the easy going feel of the family farm house! I heated up my dinner, enjoyed the hot tub, and slept soundly in the comfortable bed. Thank you SO much!

    Marie2019-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • Cindy is one of the friendliest hosts I’ve encountered on Air BnB. She personally greeted us at the door and gave a quick tour of her gorgeous home before offering up the hot tub for some before-bed use. The beds were very comfortable and I never felt rushed at any point in the morning. I felt incredibly relaxed staying with Cindy, as though staying with an old friend. Would highly recommend if you’re coming through the Eugene area!

Sit and enjoy your morning coffee, listening to the birds on a comfy Adirondack chair or visit the chickens in the garden area. Ideal for traveling healthcare workers! Close to freeway access and the I-5, Riverbend and McKenzie Willamette hospitals. A short drive to McKenzie River rec area on Hwy 126. You'll have full access to your private guest room with a view of the yard, a private bath located across the hall, common areas, kitchen and covered deck and patio overlooking a large beautifully landscaped yard. • My favorite Airbnb experience. Laurel is delightful as is her dog Maggie. She has a beautiful home, very clean and her backyard is absolutely gorgeous and wonderful place to relax after work. Laurel is also the easiest and sweetest person to share an Airbnb with. It's a little far from Eugene city center but close to Springfield city center; if you have a car it should be fine, but great location for the value. Would highly recommend!

    Melissa2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Laurel and her home are magic! I'm from New Orleans, Louisiana so I definitely have a heightened awareness of the energy around me. I immediately felt the warmth and genuine care radiated from Laurel. She's a beautiful human! Laurel's fur babies are just as happy and secure as their mama. Mag, her puppy, has become my bestie! Laurel's space is amazing! Clean, comfortable, and inviting describes it best. She's an amazing cook, a fantastic tour guide (get ready for some beautiful hikes y'all), a great listener (if you need a gracious ear), and just a good hearted person. I can't say enough about Laurel, her fur babies, and her space. The grounds are simply gorgeous! The garden and chickens (fresh eggs) gives it that personal touch. Laurel, you will always be my Sister!

    Terri2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • UNSURPASSED HOST!!! She is amazing and cannot be beat. Laurel went above and beyond what we expected (free coffee, snacks, breakfast, infused water). WOW!! And then when I sat under the patio cover with my tea, reading my book, listening to the water fountain, and looking out her gorgeously landscaped flower garden, I didn't want to leave. LAUREL adapts to your needs... If you want to be left alone, she will give you space. If you feel more chatty, she is easy to talk to. I honestly felt more at home because of her presence. I had not expected that. I came as a guest but left with Laurel as a friend. LGBTQ supporter. You are safe here!

    Alexis2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Laurel is a great host. She makes sure you have everything you need. Each morning there was some goodies for breakfast and hot coffee. She made sure we knew how to reach her if we had any questions. She has a sweet puppy that loves to greet you as well as a cat that is very friendly. We had a great time staying at Laurel's Airbnb and I know you will too.

    Denise2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was so great I decided to stay for my entire travel assignment! My other review still stands and I would highly recommend staying if you do travel for your job. However staying for any reason is exceptional but it's so close to the hospital it's just optimal for work. I can't stress enough how wonderful the experience continues to be.

    Kate2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • I knew from the moment Laurel and I messaged that she and I would be a good fit! She is very receptive to guests needs and make you feel at home in her place! She is easy to get along with and the bed is super comfortable! Her and I have formed quite the friendship just due to her hospitality, outgoing and easy going behavior. If you are looking for a place to stay that feels like home away from home she is that!!!

Nature-lovers and river rats will find this peaceful destination to be the perfect getaway from city life. This yurt is located just fifteen minutes away from Eugene, and located on a secluded original homestead in the Hills Creek area. The Mckenzie and Willamette River are both easy to get to; with the Willamette River only 3 minutes by car! There are friendly horses on the property and a beautiful view of the surrounding hills.
We wanted to create a tranquil space where people could escape and become immersed in nature. This yurt was built by the owner and hand-crafted to provide an experience like no other. At night, guests can view the night sky filled with bright stars, and during their stay enjoy the company of friendly "retired" horses. Included on the property is a fully functional compost toilet ran off solar power, as well as an outdoor hot/cold shower.
This area is unique due to is accessibility to town, yet still maintaining its private intimate ambiance. The Willamette river is just minutes away, and there are many access points for kayakers or fishers. Located in a rural neighborhood that has an abundance of wildlife, and a beautiful creek to dip toes into!. The yurt is located near Blue River, Springfield, Eugene, and Pleasant Hill.
  • Kris went above and beyond to make sure I had a great stay and communicated very clearly. The yurt is very clean and very earthy with the most perfect view of mountains and the horses. A perfect little get away that's close to town. Make sure to ask her about the cool places because she has great insight!

    Alyssa2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay!! The yurt was so beautiful! All of the details and supplies inside were perfect. It was so cozy, and the heater inside worked really well and kept us comfortably warm. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the rain, and then waking up to see the horses outside! Kris was a wonderful host. She was so friendly and easy to communicate with, and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. This was the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway and we would highly recommend!

    Kelly2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • As always, my stay here was excellent. And I am corrected from my previous review, there are cooking amenities in the dresser drawers. A hot plate I believe though I didn't use it.

    Sarah2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Kris is a fantastic host. Check-in was a breeze, the yurt was very clean, and the whole experience was cozy and fun. I would definitely recommend Kris's place!

  • What a wonderful place and a great find. We took a trip from Seattle to see the Redwoods in Northern California, and needed a place to stay along our route. This place is a few minutes from Springfield, but feels a world apart. They have an enviable place with a river, fields, mountain views, clear view of the stars, and peace and quiet. We feel really fortunate to have been able to enjoy their slice of heaven for a few days. In fact, we only stayed one night on our way down, but stayed for two nights on our return, and are glad we did. Having a restful stop on our way home was ideal. We also had a great hike among old-growth trees just40 minutes away at Goodman Creek trail (starts at the Hardesty Trailhead). Plus, Robin and Jim were wonderful hosts. Our girls got to feed their ducks and chickens, they gave us some duck eggs that were a big hit, and there were some homemade cookies that were so good, our daughter hit them up for more when we returned. (I'm not sure that's a regular thing, and don't want to imply there are always homemade cookies, but it speaks to their hospitality.) Plus, our two Labradors loved Bosco. They ran and played, swam in the creek, and were mystified by the llamas. Lastly, the bungalow itself is a real gem. It's very well appointed, modern, functional, clean, and comfortable. And as someone who is a bit of a construction and design critic, I think they have done a great job of building a small space that works like a much bigger space. They set this bungalow up for Robin's mother in her last years, and it's clear that they really put a lot of thought and effort into making a sweet little spot that would feel like home for her--which says as much about their character as it does about their skills. Everything from the heated floor in the bathroom, the Toto Washlet toilet seat, the walk-in shower with grab bars to the quality appliances very functional kitchen were clearly crafted with love, and made the place feel like home for us too. You can't go wrong with this place.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Beryl’s Bungalow. Robin and Jim were warm, welcoming and helpful. They even welcomed our two dogs with the assistance of Bosco the resident Burmese. The bungalow was cozy and well appointed with lots of convenient extras. The property is just beautiful. Everything was spotless. We would definitely love to return.

  • One of our very favorite airbnb stays! So many wonderful things about this place: it’s spacious and beautifully decorated with lots of family art, photos, and books; it was (really!) clean; bed was comfortable and warm; kitchen was stocked with all the tools and pots/pans you might need to make home-cooked meals. Extra awesome was the heated floor in the bathroom and heated toilet seat. The property is beautiful and peaceful, with lots of nice trees. We loved listening to the creek and watching all the little birds just outside the windows. Robin and Jim were the best kind of hosts - they gave us our privacy, but were warm and friendly when we saw them out and about on the property. They even attended an event we were in town for and took a few photos to share with us! That was awesome! They also gave us some fishing tips to help us enjoy the area. We loved Robin’s homemade cookies - such a wonderful treat! And, last, but not least, their wonderful dog Bosco has to be one of the sweetest, most good-natured dogs we’ve ever met. It was a total joy whenever he stopped by to visit!!! Wholeheartedly recommend. We look forward to staying here again!

    Erik2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Such great hosts! Personal touches with a sign to welcome us at the driveway and Robin stepped outside and shook our hands to welcome us. The place was spotless clean, and comfortable. Nice kitchen and bathroom, plenty of space even though it’s a studio apartment. Absolutely beautiful property. We hope we can come back again. Thank you!

Beautiful space in owner occupied home up the McKenzie River. Just 8.5 miles up river from the town of Springfield. The McKenzie River is glacier fed, & just a short walk from the house. The boat launch is .5 miles away. There are many things to do; float, relax, fish, boating, or just having a picnic on the beautiful shore. The hiking is some of the best in the USA w/ waterfalls, rivers & lakes. The U of O (Ducks) is just a 15 mile drive back into town. This truly is "Almost Heaven."
  • What a Wonderful experience!!! Stella and Rob were so gracious!!!! They really went out their way to make us feel at home!!! The home cooked meals were amazing!!!! The animals were pure delight!!!!!

  • Delightful home and people! They went out of their way to treat us like family. We will definitely be trying to stay again when we come back to the area!

    Aprille2018-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • The name of this place is not misleading....it's so peaceful, it does feel like heaven. The only sounds you hear are from the forest; the animals and woods created a sense of being in a warm cocoon. Utter calm. That's what I felt anyway! Stela and Robert seriously went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We ate farm fresh eggs and potatoes from the yard that were so nourishing after our long day at the Country Fair - I would rate this as the most nuturing Airbnb stay I've experienced. Plus both of them are just really, really nice people. I enjoyed their company very much. But also the shower was great, the bed was great, wonderful shower!! It's a bit of a drive to get out there but that's also what makes it feel so pristine.

    Rebecca2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • My time with Stela and Robert was fabulous. They are genuinely cheerful and helpful in every way., always making sure my needs were met. The bed was comfortable and the food is amazing. They told me of magical places to see while I was there. It was my second time there and I will go back again!

    Laura2018-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • We highly recommend Stel and Rob's!! We had a fantastic stay at Stel and Rob's. Warm and friendly, they welcomed us like family. We came to the States for the 2017 eclipse and their local knowledge guaranteed our success. We loved staying there so much we stayed an extra day despite our incredibly tight schedule. Calm and tranquil, the property is large, lush , private and lively with chickens, blackberries, vegie and herb garden, pussy cats etc. They have some small trails to walk along where you can stuff yourself full of berries. Mmmmmmm. At night, Rob had a fire going where we sat, ate and chilled. The house is large and peaceful and the bed was super comfortable. We left refreshed and rejuvenated for the final leg of our trip. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!!

Charming cottage on the river front. Updated and renovated 1920s “tea house and dance hall”. Enjoy fishing or wading to the “island”. Just minutes from town but surrounded by nature.
Two spacious bedrooms and one bath in this quaint 1920 cottage home.
A country setting right on the river but just minutes from town.
  • This river house is charming and cozy. The river in the property is amazing and we felt centrally located for awesome hiking adventures. This home is a true value! I can not wait to return.

  • This is an adorable old home with river access (accessible for most folks, though it's not all level ground on the path from the back yard). The bedrooms are huge & the beds are comfortable. It's super affordable when traveling with a large group (but only 4 can fit around the table). The host is very responsive & kept in touch with us. We would love to return for a stay in the future again!

  • Jack and Teresa were very hospitable and friendly, their place was super nice, clean, and lovely. They were very thoughtful in all aspects of accommodation. And the neighborhood is photo worthy. The only thing was because I needed to go to UoO everyday, the route by public transportation was long combining walk and two bus rides and waits (50 min - 1h), though Jack was very helpful in pointing me the direction, and the commute was not particularly difficult.

  • Place was beautiful! Deanna was very accommodating and understanding throughout the stay. The deer and wild turkeys were so neat to watch. Cute place and would stay again for a football weekend.

Beautiful space in owner occupied home up the McKenzie River. Located just 8.5 miles up river from the town of Springfield. The McKenzie River is glacier fed and just a short walk from the house. The boat launch is .5 miles away. There are so many things to do; float and relax, salmon and trout fishing, boating, or just having a picnic on the beautiful shore. The University of Oregon (Ducks) is just a 15 mile drive back into town. This truly is "Almost Heaven."
Our home sits on top of a hill across the road from the McKenzie River. We have 5.5 acres of beautiful trails which will take you down to the river. We have fruit trees and vegetable gardens which are available to guests any time they are blooming. Our rare breeds of chickens provide fresh eggs daily. We have bikes and fishing equipment guests are welcomed to use. We love this property and hope that our guests will too.
The neighborhood is a quiet forest. The river is at the end of our private drive (1/4) mile.
  • Rustic, but homey and sweet. Stela and Rob were great hosts looking after our every need. I feel like we made some new great friends and that is why I love Airbnb so much.

    Sue2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Such responsive people and lots of fun to be with! The setting is beautiful! Stela had great tips about local stops along the McKenzie Riverand graciously included us in their family meal. We will be back!

  • There are not enough starts to make justice to Stela and Robert’s place. But what I can tell you is that if you decide to stay with them, you will be anxiously waiting to be back. Their house is magnificent, the property so big and full of life, incredible landscape, loving beautiful pets but most importantly you will never experience hospitality like Stela’s. There is so much to do around there, if you’re into nature this is the place to go!

  • Fabulous hospitality. Best hosts we have ever encountered EVER. Beautiful property and cozy home. Super accommodating and extremely helpful. We are SO glad we found them and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

  • This is an awesome getaway place! The star gazing at night was priceless! The place is clean, beautiful, and the hosts are the kindest ever!!! Thank you Stela and Rob for an amazing stay!!!

  • Great hosts and beautiful property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stela and Rob's place. Loved the animals and the wonderful food. But especially enjoyed Stela and Rob. Very welcoming and great people. We really got a kick out of the rafting excursion down the McKenzie River (don't wear blue jeans). Stela and Rob can hook you up. McKenzie Bridge General Store has a great beer and wine selection along with a delicious menu. Check it out.

  • We've spent a beautiful night and a funny morning at Stela and Rob. They are living on a beautiful big forest ground. There they have an all day vacation together with all their animals. Feel free to share it together with them.

  • What a great spot! One of our favorite AirBnB experiences. Outstanding hospitality. The girls loved the cats and dogs and chickens, and are already asking to go back.

Newly constructed riverfront home. Next to historic Earnest Covered Bridge, site of the movie "Shenandoah". Incredible riverfront country property. Views of Mohawk River and Covered Bridge. Three miles to local store and restaurant. 14 miles from Eugene-Springfield. 4 miles to store and restaurant.
Two bedroom with additional sleeping options.
    Rural countryside neighborhood.
  • A beautiful, peaceful spot. House is spaceous enough to be comfortable and spread out while still feeling comfy and cozy. The river is right nextdoor and so relaxing to watch. Lots of nice big windows with great views. James is super friendly and accommodating. We had everything we needed. Nice kitchen; we enjoyed being able to fix all our own meals. Highly recommended!

  • The covered bridge house is in a wonderful location, James, our host was super accommodating and went above and beyond. The house is super clean and well stocked with pretty much anything you might need. The views are fantastic and again I can't say enough about the location. I was concerned that maybe it would be too far out as we were attending a volleyball tourney in Springfield but it was only 15 minutes to the sports complex and I think we may have actually been closer that many others who stayed in Motels in Eugene. Again it was a pleasure staying here and the next time we are in the area you can rest assured this will be the first place I check for availability.

  • Jim is a gracious, thoughtful and responsive host. The house is brand new and super comfortable. The view is gorgeous, and the locale is peaceful. We very much enjoyed our getaway!

    Delaney2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • This gorgeous home is situated directly adjacent to the Mohawk River, offering soothing sounds of the water passing by under the historic Earnest Bridge. The many large windows give a gorgeous view of nature from any room in the house. It felt like an off-the-grid oasis. The two story home provides privacy between guests and options for comfortable hangout spaces. The kitchen is fully functional and was well stocked for all of our cooking needs. Jim was incredibly responsive and provided an exceptional level of hospitality. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

This apartment features an 18' high ceiling with 3rd floor loft BR; private covered deck overlooking an oxbow of the McKenzie River, access to 1.5 private acres with bbq, gazebo, and outdoor fireplace. WiFi, TV, Stereo; 15 minutes to U/O events.
The barn apartment features a 3rd floor loft bedroom, with a single bed fold out couch in the living room area. 3 guests comfortably - if you have up to 2 friends that you would like to share your kitchen and bathroom with, we have a small studio with fouton bed in the garden area available for a small extra fee. It would be like state of the art camping, but clean and comfortable.
Camp Creek Rd runs alongside the McKenzie River, in the foothills of the Cascade Range. It is a very scenic route, often used by bicyclists and others wishing to take a more scenic route uphill.
  • Arthur's place is a welcoming expansive apartment with a stunning balcony view. A full kitchen and a cozy fireplace make this a place you could spend either days or weeks in. Plenty to explore in the area between Eugene and the mountains!

  • One of our best Airbnb stays. Amazing hospitality, beautiful space, relaxing environment, and more. Can't recommend this place enough! Thanks Art and Connie for a great weekend get-a-way!

    Karen Marie2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by Connie and the cat. The cat is not allowed in the barn apartment. Connie will give you a tour of the place. The place is super clean and comfortable. The bed is also comfortable. Connie and Art are very considerate. They stocked the refrigerator with yogurt, eggs, butter, milk, bread, and half&half for coffee. On the counter, will be some fresh fruit waiting for you. Art is a great asset. He suggested places to go and the best way to get there. My husband and I got locked out so I had to call Art to let us back in. It was late at night and him and Connie didn’t mind coming out to open the entrance door to the apartment. You will enjoy your stay here. Home away from home.
