  • Very nice place

  • I’m a frequent flyer with Tina and Dirk so I feel I’ve probably cover most of the bases. Privacy, cleanliness, water pressure , bed - two thumbs up!! The kitchen is well equipped and there’s plenty of tea on hand to help yourself to. On a cold evening Dirk put down a great fire in the wood stove . They back yard is really lively and I bet will be even more inviting in the spring ! Enjoy your stay .

  • My only regret is we weren’t there long enough to chat more with our hosts! Such a beautiful and peaceful place. Thank you Tina and Dirk for your top notch hospitality

  • I’ve stayed with Tina a Dirk before. While they are always available and responsive they also give you plenty of privacy. The accommodations and amenities met all my needs.

  • I very much enjoyed my stay with Tina & Dirk. Their place is very comfortable and welcoming. Lots of little touches to make you feel at home. It is a spacious setting with a nice kitchen area and room to watch tv and relax. Definitely would recommend to anyone who wants to feel at home and relax.

  • A very clean and comfortable to stay. Lovely forested view out back, nice firm mattress with wonderful bedding and great water pressure! If you’re lucky enough to stay during the cold winter months you might get to enjoy one of Dirks’s excellent fires in the wood stove!

  • Tina & Dirk’s little guesthouse in the basement of their house was just what I needed for my 1 night layover on my way to Mt Rainier Natl Park. Very comfortable and communication with Tina was easy. Perfect!

Welcome to Otter Pond! Replace the sights and sounds of traffic and the suburban shuffle on the Toutle River! In light of the current Corona issues, we are disinfecting all door handles and horizontal surfaces, plus running an ozone generator disinfector between all guests. You have acres to explore, a pond, a river, a horse shoe pit, a grill, and two firepits! Relax with the songs of frogs, birds, crickets, and enjoy the deer, eagles, ducks, geese, rabbits, beavers and otters that pass through!
Tiny Home ( built by us ) has 320 square feet plus a loft. Loads of windows! Nice size kitchen with gas oven/stove, and everything needed for cooking. A full size refrigerator, coffee, tea, creamer and sugar is provided. The Loft upstairs has a memory foam king bed and the downstairs bedroom has a futon that makes into a full bed with a memory foam topper. We also provide shampoo, conditioner, soap and body wash. A deck off the back to enjoy your morning coffee. Propane fireplace for heating in the winter and AC in the summer to keep you cool. WiFi, SmartTV, DVD player and movies. Future plans include a shootin' shack/range, and a campsite at the river’s edge. Please forgive the building materials (mostly reclaimed) at the periphery of the lot as we continue to improve. Its also time for clean up from our resident beaver and planting of approximately 2,000 trees in the next few months, so excuse the yard mess! We can add a twin foam mattress upstairs for a extra guest if needed. The property can also accommodate a guest bringing their own RV/trailer ( with hook-ups ) or tent camping in the summer to add more guests to your group! Ask us for more info.
We live in the country/forest. Your drive here will take you by both ranches, houses and cabins. You will see cows, deer, and sometimes a herd of elk. We feel very fortunate to live on a quiet dead end road ( one neighbor after the tiny home ) and look forward to sharing the beautiful PNW with you!
  • Cute, clean, and cozy, this tiny house is very well done!

  • We had such a wonderful time and the house was absolutely perfect! Very clean and organized. I felt like I was at home in every way. It was incredibly relaxing and also a little tiny house dream come true. We will absolutely be coming back. Thank you!!

  • Great tiny home off the beaten path. The perfect "camping" alternative when the weather is too cold as you can bundle up in the warmth, but still have plenty of reasons to go outside. The bed in the loft is comfy and warm and the loft itself has plenty of space. The kitchen is small (it is a tiny home) but good for a homemade meal. The entire place is clean and well taken care of. Beautiful views from every point in the house, lots of options for heaters and cross breezes, and easy access to a wide variety of outdoor activities. Definitely worth a stay!

    Adina2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The wildlife was the best part. Such a peaceful and beautiful property.

    Emily2020-02-24T00:00:00Z

Welcome to our charming cottage on our family farm near Winlock. You’ll love our natural setting and views of the barn, meadows, and forest (plus mountain views when the sky is clear). Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and small families (children must be supervised). Conveniently located halfway between Portland and Seattle, we are two miles off I-5 and a one to two hour drive from Mt Rainier, Mt St Helens, and many other natural areas and SW Washington towns.
The cottage is a 3 room space with 1) a sunroom with a small table and chairs 2) a main room with a kitchen and queen size bed, and 3) a bathroom with a walk in shower and toilet room.
The cottage is located in the middle of a 60 acre farm. During the day, you can see the cows and horses in the green and yellow fields, with occasional elk or deer herds visiting. On clear days, you can see Mt St Helens and Mt Rainier and on clear nights you can see beautiful stars and the Milky Way outside. We're in a rural neighborhood with small towns Winlock and Toledo a few minutes away, and Centralia/Chehalis 15 minutes away.
  • If you are looking for a very comfortable getaway with plenty of peace and quiet, this guest house located out on the farm is perfect! Would definitely stay here again.

    Leander2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I am an animal lover so this location was even more perfect than I expected. It's a great space on an ethical farm with cows that give you cute looks, chickens that free roam, a sweet as can be pup that will give you all the love ever and a tiny yet mighty huntress of a kitty. The humans who live on the property were also kind and extremely gracious hosts. The cottage itself was much larger than I expected with a huge and comfortable sunroom. The best part by far for me and what initially sold me was the amazing bathroom! The shower was to die for and gave me inspiration to remodle my own. A really great opportunity to get away and still feel comfortable and like I'm in my own home.

  • This place is awesome. I didn’t get to meet Emily, but her parents were so nice! They are artists and I got to check out their pottery and purchase some beautiful things. The cottage is super cute, pretty spacious, and very comfortable. The lovely dog and cat welcomed me when I arrived; what a great way to begin my stay...5 stars!!!

    Nadia2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • I could not possibly recommend this cottage more. It was just perfect. Spotless, charming, comfortable bed, lovely views, peaceful, & restful. WE LOVED IT.

  • A secluded stay with easy access and beautiful mountain views.

    Ross2019-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Emily’s place was excellent. The accommodations were very spacious, clean and well maintained. The area is close enough to Mount St Helens (1 hour away) for day trips. We would stay here again.

    Kevin2019-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay. We were visiting family in Toledo and it was a short drive to their house. We were greeted by Sunny the happy dog! Richard, Susan and Bailey were very friendly, we had a nice time visiting with them and getting tours of the property. Richard just finished a trail from the barn to the forest, it’s a great place to wander. The cottage has a full kitchen and very comfy bed. The handmade tiles that makeup the walls of the bathroom add a beautiful touch. We look forward to staying here in the future and we hope to see Richard and Susan the next time they visit our hometown of Sonoma, CA. Thank you for a wonderful time. Smiles

  • If you're looking for a place to get away from the mundane for a few days this place is great. It definitely has a seclusion-vibe without being completely isolated from civilization. The place was very clean and included a lot more items than expected like cookware and things of that nature. Speaking of nature, there is plenty of space to explore around outside. It's only an hour away from Portland so it was nice to check out that city during my stay. I was very pleased with the location and the cleanliness. I would definitely stay here again.

  • The room was cozy. Ronda was very nice and her dogs were friendly. She made us breakfast in the morning which was a very nice addition to the stay. The house was well decorated.

  • Super clean, quiet, & personable. The room had it’s own heater which was a great touch. The shower head had great water pressure which is a very underrated amenity when traveling. I didn’t get to see Rhonda too much due to me arriving late & checking out early, but when I did she was very pleasant & hospitable.

    Ashley2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The room was warm, cozy and welcoming. The bed was super comfortable. The decor was 1900's train themed, and it all flowed together. Ronda has created an excellent out-of-the-way for adventures near Mt. St. Helens.

    Crash2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Ronda was very welcoming, as were her dogs. She was willing to let me bring my dog into her home as well, which I very much appreciated. Everything was clean, and well organized. We really enjoyed our stay!

  • This little farm on the prairie is a beautiful place to get out of the city and enjoy everything there is to love about country living. Ronda was a kind and warm hostess. We arrived late after a day of hiking in the rain. Ronda let us use her kitchen to make a hot meal and even shared squash from her garden. We slept soundly in a cozy room with the silence of the country night and the sound of rain on the windows. We had great conversation with her over a homemade breakfast of waffles and raspberry jam. She has a lovely assortment of jams, pickles and preserves for sale feom fruits and veggies grown in her lovely gardens. Her chickens happily run around the yard and her doggos are the sweetest and just want to be friends with everyone. I hope we get back to this part of the country soon so we have an opportunity to stay with Ronda again.

    Corrine2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Rondas place was nice and cozy. I was greeted by her two dogs. Who are super friendly btw. She has birds too that provide sweet little chirps. Breakfast was nice. She must've read my mind because I had a craving for Belgian waffles the day before and the following morning, she made us Belgian waffles! I would definitely stay again if i am in the area. We felt very welcomed.

    Kerry2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed in the #2 downstairs room for almost 3 months. I was new to the area and never really stayed at an arbnb before. I wasn't sure what to expect. I got into town earlier than expected and called Cedric to see if I could get into my room sooner. He got right back with me and told me all was ready. I started off in room 3 for just a few days before moving to room 2 when it became vacant. Cedric had the room cleaned and the bed made up. He even had a coffee maker put in downstairs! I liked the access to the washer and dryer and the t.v. as well! It sort of reminded me of my 1st apt. Cedric had a keypad put in and had the upstairs dining areas freshly painted. The place was cozy. I also liked the shared kitchen. I made a few friends when coming to the house and they were cooking up some really good smelling food! The house was empty of people most of the time which was nice when wanting privacy. Overall, the experience was fantastic and Im glad to have made a friend with Cedric as well!

    Danial2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cedric is an awesome host! Continually strives to make you feel welcome and does a great job at giving you privacy to make you feel at home.

    Danial2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • It was a quick stay for us, however Cedric was pleasant to deal with and quick with communication. The check in was easy, parking was easy being in the driveway in front of the home! The home was well-maintained and we loved the use of the kitchen and dining room.

    Sara2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Cedric constantly goes above and beyond to make his guests feel at home. When I needed to make some reservation changes unexpectedly, Cedric went out of his way to make sure that I was able to not only keep my room, but to hold the room for the dates I needed. Cedric was very easy to talk to when he was here. He made sure I had all the privacy I needed and was very helpful in making sure I had all the comforts of home that I wanted. This, so far, has been an exceptional stay. I highly recommend Cedric as a host and feel as though I have made a lasting friendship through this experience.

    Danial2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • ... I’m still delighted by the nostalgic effects of Cedric’s home!! Every single element of a house built in this era are still perfectly intact. From the ultra soft plush carpets to the ornate light fixtures... it was like a trip back to my younger self, but this time as a mother and with my daughter in tow. Cedric himself is very attentive and personable. He made sure we felt well taken care of.

    Teresa2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • A great quiet and safe part of town for us to rest our bones for the night while we were passing through. Cedric was very quick answering all our questions before and during our stay. It was a perfect pad to bring home some snacks from the grocery store and chill out in front of the excellent big screen tv with the heat pump keeping the winter chill at bay. Outstanding value, would recommend.

    David2019-12-23T00:00:00Z

We are in the Portland area, just off Interstate 5. The Pacific North West is a great area of the world to visit. We are located about an hour from Mt. St. Helens, a little over an hour to the beach, 45 minutes to the Portland Airport, 2 hours to Seattle, and we have many lakes and rivers in the area to enjoy some relax time. Make us your home base and spend some time on daily adventures with a nice place to sleep at the end of the day.
We are easy to find, just minutes off Interstate 5.
We are located in a very quiet and safe neighborhood, within walking distance of a trail along the Cowlitz River.
  • Steve and Kristi are amazing hosts. I stayed with them for an extended period of time for a work contract and I couldn’t have asked for better hosts. Their place is perfectly situated for just about anything you want to do, Mount Saint Helens Mount Rainier, Portland, Vancouver… They’re all easily accessible. I would highly recommend them if you’re in the area! I know I’ll be looking for availability if I’m in the area. The room is cozy and bed is extremely comfortable.

  • Steve and Kristi are just amazing! They are thoughtful, kind, knowledgable, extremely friendly and responsive. I'm in town for an extended contract and they worked with me on booking and checking in. Their place is so clean and they have personal touches all over from hand painted pictures down to wine glasses in the room that make you feel at home. Their space would be absolutely perfect for shorter stays as well. Hands down, I'm staying with them again if the opportunity ever arrises. All around great people! I give them top marks, A+!!

  • Great place to stay! Extremely clean and very warm hosts.

    Emily2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Convenient, clean, and comfortable. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Tricia2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Steve-Kristi's home was a very clean, cozy & relaxing stay. We enjoyed the nighttime tea, bubble bath and coffee in the morning. The bedroom and bed were very comfortable and we felt very safe & relaxed staying here. We also thoroughly enjoyed our morning walk in their quiet & safe neighborhood. I would definitely recommend staying here.

    Terri2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely perfect, the room is exactly as described and Steve and Kristi are the kindest hosts! We will definitely be staying again!

    Denby2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Steve and Kristi's place is what every Airbnb should be -- an exceedingly quiet, immaculately, well-appointed bedroom (and I do mean well appointed -- microwave popcorn! A basket full of soaps and luxurious lotions! Even a deep tub -- with jets!) Lexington isn't Tourism Central, by any means, but if you're making the drive from Eugene to Vancouver BC (or vice versa), it's a perfect midway stopover.

    Scott2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Everything at Kristi's place is amazing, very clean, comfortable, spacious, easy to check in and out. The most valuable place we ever stayed. Thank you!

  • We really enjoyed our time here! Mitchell+Maria had given so much thought into this space that we truly felt at home. The shower was lovely, sleeping in the loft under the sky light was amazing -- local tips for restaurants, coffee shops, even a hike! The wifi didn't work the whole time we were there but it was PERFECT for us. If you're looking for somewhere cozy to unwind, unplug, and reflect, this is it! Highly recommended and much appreciated!

    Heather2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • I loved staying at the tiny house! Y’all did a really great job on design and decoration. The roof window over the bed loft was my favorite. Being able to listen to the rain or look at the stairs really made feel close to nature. Thanks for sharing this magical gem with the world.

    Andrea2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Unique and cozy digs - our first tiny home experience did not disappoint! Definitely recommend

    Alex2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Seriously just book it, you will not regret it one bit. Did a solo trip and cannot say enough about how amazing of a time I had during my stay. Beautifully decorated space, location is lovely, star gazing through the skylight above the bed, personal touches....I genuinely could go on and on. As soon as I walked in I felt relaxed and as if I was exactly where I was supposed to be. Couldn't ask for more. Thank you Mitchell and Maria!!

  • Quiet little getaway in the woods. The price can't be beat and I loved the feel of the space.

  • Mitchell and Maria are wonderful hosts. They communicate promptly and clearly and wants to make sure your stay is comfortable. Their place is cozy and well designed. Being in a tiny house takes a bit of adjustment but once you get used to it you enjoy its quiantness. Hope to return again!

  • Great getaway spot for the weekend. This time of year it wasn’t super-packed, which is great if you’re looking for privacy and to walk the dogs around the awesome property! Will definitely visit again, the cabin was great and very convenient for a family of 3, and 2 dogs.

  • What a wonderful getaway! My kiddo and I had a fun time and nice to get away from the city. So much to do! We will definitely be back. Our labradoodle loved it also. Very clean and awesome customer service. Far exceeded my expectations. Also incredibly relaxing. Really looking forward to coming back soon.

  • Such a nice place to stay! Everything was clean when we arrived. Dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, and pans all available in the cabin. Plenty of paper towels, towels and blankets provided also. The view is relaxing and it has a great fire pit with wood available to buy. And it is super close to the Mount St. Helens Monument. I highly recommend this place.

  • Thanks Abe!

    Julie2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a stellar destination for a super cozy weekend away. Can't recommend it highly enough, we will be back again! Abe was extremely prompt and professional in communications leading up to - and throughout - our stay. There was a small speed bump during our after-hours (Front office closes at 5pm) check-in, when the cottage assigned to us was not the one prepared. This wasn't an issue however, since it was just the cottage next door that had been prepared instead. Overall it was hardly a blip in constrast to our fantastic experience, just calling this out in case you need to check the cottage next door during your stay. The property is exactly as described, exceeding our expectations for cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful accommodations. Take note that while there is extremely weak WiFi available from one of the property's community areas, it was unreliable for us. There was also spotty cell reception (T-Mobile being our provider) for the area, but it was sufficient to stream music.

    Christopher2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Loved it! Super clean, easy to get to, and affordable. Friendly staff.

    Jacob2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and rv resort! I'm sure it is wildly popular in the summertime and we hope to be back then :). It was busy even for it being "winter" season but not crowded by any means. Other visitors were friendly when walking by. The check-in space was very convenient with everything you might have forgotten or not thought of.

Come stay for a night or a year (or more) in our adorable bunkhouse, located on a beautiful 30 acre timber farm. Two big rooms, one for sleeping and the other for living and cooking. Quiet and restful, but still 1-2 hours from everywhere.
We also have a larger house on the property for night and week visits and do a specialty weekend - so check out "Stay at Moss Mountain Forest Farm" and read all about our BEER AND BREAKFAST!
  • Stayed for a week, was absolutely everything we hoped for and more. Very quiet, still not far from everything, and very cozy with everything we wanted and more. They even brought is firewood for the fireplace.

    Bryce2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great stay at Jessica's place, she was responsive, accommodating and very helpful! They brew very good beer and have excellent trails to walk around the farm. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area again. Our daughter and dog were quite happy here as well.

    Michael2019-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is remote and cozy and Jessica is wonderful as a host!

    Ryan2018-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica and Jim are amazing hosts. They are very accommodating and easy to get along with. They have a beautiful property with lots of hiking trails and woods to get lost in. Imagine waking up to deer right outside your window. It is pretty isolated and quiet, but there is still wi-fi and cell signal on most of the property. Also, they brew great beer!

    Gimena2018-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at this cozy cabin! The property is beautiful and the cabin is just right. Jessica was so awesome! She responded to our questions quickly and was a very attentive host. We’d stay here again!!

  • Very quite place to unwind and enjoy nature. Jessica is wonderful to work with on all our arrival needs.

    Sandra Alvarez & Jose2017-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful, quiet cabin out in the woods. We went for a short weekend away and ended up exploring the surrounding areas for most of the day, so didn't get much of an opportunity to just relax at the cabin but would have liked to spend more time there. Pleasantly surprised at the large and spacious rooms! Bathroom fixtures are a bit dated, but its an older property and everything is very well maintained. Jessica is lovely and a great host!

    Jennifer2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • We found the cabin, as expected and showed in the listing. The cabin is rustique, yet with all amenities, one needs for a relaxing vacation. Big kitchen, stove, all dishes. The front-and backporches were beautiful. We even needed on two morning the wooden stove. Worked perfectly. I recommend the cabin for someone, enjoying relaxing all by himself in the middle of nature, birds, rabbits, a magic forest and stellar jays - and not depending on super luxury. WiFi worked perfectly. Thanks.

Studio apartment above a garage, with private entrance, off-street parking. 325 sq feet including full kitchen, tub and shower, queen bed (memory foam), dining table, TV. Located on lovely Lake Sacajawea with its tree-filled park. Walk or bike the perimeter (3+ miles) or part of the lake. House is short distance from the hospital on the opposite side of the lake. Many of our guests are "travellers." If cost is an issue, we also rent the master suite in the house for 1/3 less than the apartment.
The house was built in 1981 from salvage from the eruption of Mt St Helens. Our family had a cabin on the north fork of the Toutle River which was washed away in the debris flow. My dad was eligible for what was then a low-interest loan (8 1/2%) from the government and built the house next to our own home. My uncle had timbered property that had to be cut because of the inundation of ash and he gave Dad permission to take whatever Weyerhaeuser left behind. He knew a guy with a portable sawmill nearby and they milled all the lumber. Then Dad, who was distinctly NOT handy and in his 60s, built the house with the help of a brother-in-law in his late 70s. Incredibly, they pulled it off, and it is now being visited by people from all over the world.
We are right across the street from Lake Sacajawea, a long narrow lake and park that is 3+ miles around its perimeter. We have two cruiser bikes available (one male and one female) if you'd like to ride around the lake.

  • This place is well situated right across from the lake and park. It’s a one room studio with bathroom so it’s small but accommodates my needs for one person. What I like: lots of light, nice neighborhood, full kitchen with stove, oven, cooking utensils and fridge and super comfy bed! Shower is nice and clean with strong shower head too. TV has a zillion channels, and dedicated parking space.

This is a 350sqft craftsmen cabin in the woods with Columbia River views. Includes a loft/ living room with a large pullout Ikea couch/bed. We are located 20 minutes from Longview, WA and 40 miles from Astoria. The space is perfect for individuals who want to get away from city life, gain an inspiration from minimalist living, unwind and just enjoy nature without any distractions.
My husband and I built this cabin by hand. And love sharing our cabin with others. We reside there so therefore there are many of our personal items there. We do have a wood stove please bring your own firewood for it. We have a baby high chair and a changing table, if you are planning to come with little kids please let me know. Our condo has a loft and for safety reasons, we prefer that families with children are extra cautious. Because of sleeping arrangements we can host up to 4 people. Any additional guest is extra. If you are planning to come long term (over a week) please let me know therefore I will provide enough breakfast items and such.
  • Adorable cabin with great views and the perfect amount of cozy. Highly recommend for an individual or a couple looking for a getaway. And be prepared to be loved up by their adorable cat who has no problem being affectionate. :)

We had a cozy and unique couple days here! Definitely one of our top Bnb’s. They also have another tiny home on their property that looked SWEET!

    Caleigh2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Overall a good time. The beds are on the firmer side, so be prepared for that, but the space was great. Cozy and peaceful. Got to use the outdoor shower while it was raining out- it was magic. Would come back for sure- especially to see the cats again.

    Emily2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the cabin was great. It was Perfect for a partially-unplugged get away from the city (no tv, wood stove, cozy and nice!) The space was perfectly sized for us, but I could imagine someone tall might have a tough time with the lofted bed. We were shown great hospitality, a very clean space, and we really enjoyed playing with the outdoor cats on the property.

This rare find is truly magical, you will basically have the run of an entire home and waterfront, dock and patio with recliners, rockers, Table and umbrella. Enjoy coffee in the morning and watching the sunset with a glass of wine in the evenin, smell the honeysuckle and enjoy all the beautiful flowers and yard. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to catch a bass jump out of the water, or see a bald eagle or osprey hunting and blue heron. Explore Mount Saint Helens, it's a 45 minute drive and worth it
Enjoy a brand new kitchen and remodeled home with common areas for you to enjoy , including lakefront sitting area on porch and chimnea to make a fire in the evening at the waters edge. Enjoy having your coffee on the front porch and wine watching the sunset.
  • Kara was a pleasant and friendly host and her place was exquisite! I caught some bass off her dock and spent a few hours out on the lake in the kayak with my wife. We left feeling relaxed and recharged. Highly recommend this stay!

  • Rare Opportunity! Have done a lot of travel through Airbnb. Kara’s place was extraordinary. I expected it to be nice, but was happily surprised at how nice. Kara was modest in her description on her listing. And, she was welcoming which I appreciated. Truly it is waterfront, directly on Silver Lake WA. Guests can walk right up to water. Manicured lawn and flowers. Large stylish home. Guests have a two story part of Kara’s home. One of the bedrooms closes with a door. Other sleeping areas are in adjacent loft. Bathroom, kitchen, living area are on main floor. Modern yet colorful. Fridge had breakfast foods. Thanks Kara!

Our cozy little cabin is on Silver Lake, not far off of Spirit Lake Highway, on the way up to Mt. St. Helens. It is a mixture of rustic, starting its life as a very simple fishing cabin, and dash of luxury, having been recently remodeled. The view from the front porch is lovely looking across the road to the lake. Spend your days hiking, exploring the mountain or the quaint towns of Toutle and Castle Rock, fishing on the premier bass fishing lake in the Pacific Northwest.
We added many fun unique aspects when we remodeled: a cozy pellet stove insert in the field stone fireplace for warmth (pellets provided), phosphorous in the hardwood floor which glows in the dark, a solid live-edge slab of Pacific Northwest Douglas Fir as the eating bar, sliding barn doors, a 1947 vintage electric stove, a reading cubby stocked with books, puzzles, games, movies, bathroom with a vintage buffet vanity covered in pennies with a glass vessel sink and a shower that includes copper slate tile, marble base and seat, frame-less glass enclosure, one double-shower head and one rainfall shower head. The front porch is adorned with massive log posts for supports. We still have plans to add an outdoor kitchen and work on landscaping. Side note: We use our cabin ourselves and then rent it on AirBnB when we can. We do not operate multiple vacation home rentals as a business. We manage this ourselves on the side. We strive to make it a warm, clean, cozy space for our renters and continue to learn from our experiences and our renters.
There is plenty to do in the foothills of Mt. St. Helens: hiking, biking, fishing, boating, cross-country skiing and snow-shoeing... Exploring all of the wonders of the beautiful Pacific Northwest... I recommend looking through the website (URL HIDDEN) to get a good overview of the area. I have included more links below for other points of interest. The cabin is in a rural neighborhood that is a mixture of resort (not the fancy kind) and country living. There are neighbors on both sides of the cabin. Most of our neighbors live in their homes full time. We know all of the neighbors and have good relationships with them. They know that we are renting on AirBnB when we are not using the cabin and look out for the cabin and our renters. Being in a lightly populated forested area, it is important to remember that we share this area with lots of other creatures big and small (some very very small and annoying). Please be extra careful on your drive up keeping watch for deer especially at dawn and dusk. When we bought the cabin in July 2014, it came with a dog. Jake was an old yellow lab. He had an owner who lived a few blocks away but Jake preferred to live on his own terms. I always think of Frank Sinatra singing "I'll Do It My Way." Jake liked to hang on our front porch. He also spent a lot of time in the next door neighbor's house that we share our driveway with. He liked to sleep under the bushes of the house across the street too. Sometimes, he just slept in the middle of the street. Luckily, most of the neighbors knew to watch for him. Jake had cancer and we knew his time was limited. He was the Neighborhood Watch, often barking in the middle of the night to the dismay of those trying to sleep. We all tried to take care of him as much as he would let us. Next door neighbors were gifted an old love seat that they put in their house just for Jake so that he would have someplace warm and dry during the winter. We put an old dog bed on the front porch for him, but he usually preferred an old tarp that was on the ground. In August 2015, a woman visiting the neighborhood accidentally ran over him while backing out of a driveway. We all decided together that it was time and half-dozen neighbors went with him for his final ride taking his favorite blanket and toy. We held a memorial for him Memorial Day 2015 with about 20 neighbors showing up with potluck dishes. Jake was cremated and his ashes were sprinkled throughout the neighborhood. His picture is on our mantel along with a box that contains a small glass ornament made with some of his ashes. This is a neighborhood of good-hearted people... If you happen to see an old yellow lab jogging behind a car going past the cabin, that is Jake's sister who still lives up the road.
  • This was the PERFECT cabin for a sweet getaway. My boyfriend and I just wanted some quiet time close to a hike I have been wanting to do for years and this was a great spot to relax! The cabin had everything we needed and it was so nice to have a kitchen as I like to cook all of our own meals. The bed and shower are quite amazing!

  • I spent Christmas at Rebecca's cabin, and I loved it! It's in a really nice location, the bed is SUPER comfy, and it's got everything you'd want to have a nice time while relaxing. There's a big collection of movies, books, and games, plus a large TV, and fast Internet. I had a few questions during my stay, and it felt like they'd respond to them before I even finished typing the question! Very awesome communication. If I have a reason to come back to this area, I wouldn't hesitate to return here.

  • Charming, welcoming, great amenities and sparking clean! Loved the pellet stove which gave the whole space a very cozy feel. We especially loved the reading/library nook - very charming! Location is spot on too. We were there in late November but can imagine that it must be particularly beautiful in the warmer months when you can take advantage of even more outdoor activities. We had a couple of questions when we first arrived and got responses straight away which was great.

  • Cozy, great rustic feel. Amazing shower. Lovely fiesta ware. Kitchen fully equipped. Beautiful view of lake from big front porch built around a handsome spruce tree. Friendly neighbors. Convenient to Mt. St. Helen's. Would love to stay there again!

    Stephanie2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Nice house . . . we enjoyed watching movies from their selection. Also they have a great shower.

    Ray2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is very homey and welcoming and nestled among trees, great for those who want to feel tucked away in nature. The only downside is the clunkiness of the pellet stove, which could really use some digital controls, but it's worth the trouble to stay in such a great place.

    Jackie2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca's place could define funky and unpretentious! Comfy and warm. Endless hot water shower. We went to the local grocery store, bought dinner and watched "MiB", one DVD from a collection of a semi-bazillion. The penny-covered bureau was a marvel to behold. I estimated 3600 pennies under glass!

Come stay in a rustically charming farmhouse with some amenities - 2 beautiful bedrooms and a 3/4 bath( upstairs), 2 full-sized futon couches (living room and sunroom), 1 bedroom (queen), comfy kitchen (no dishwasher) and full bath. Set in a peaceful setting! PLEASE NOTE: This is a house built right around 1900. There is a steeper staircase than other houses - we have non-slip strips on them, but if you are, for whatever reason, unable or uncomfortable climbing them, we can accommodate below.
Be in the middle of nowhere but 1-2 hours from everywhere (mountains- on a clear day you can see both St. Helens and Rainier from the ridge at the back of the property), the ocean, Portland, and Seattle - great location for visiting Mt. St. Helens! Close to the Cowlitz and Columbia rivers - great fishing!
  • Super cozy farm house tucked up in the woods. The bedrooms have forced heat installed in the walls for those chilly nights. So thoughtful. Large kitchen dining area and comfy living room, and there was plenty of sleeping space for our large group.

  • This is an older and unique location with some amazing trees! If you are looking for a place to unplug, this is a great spot. There's people on the property, but I never saw them. They respect your privacy/quiet time. This was our second time renting this house and we all had a wonderful time again.

    Alicia2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful home. Lots of different spaces for a large group to share or break off. Two large rooms, spacious dining room (you can squeeze 8 or 9 around the table). A smaller room with board games, plus bedrooms for smaller conversations. Plus the outdoors. Our family of 8 had tons of room. You probably could have a gathering of 15, if people dont mind sleeping on the floor. Gorgeous drive.

    Rebekah2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica’s cabin was much larger than we expected and her hospitality was OUTSTANDING! She was very communicative and flexible which really helped us out. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I arrived later into the night on the first day but Craig had no problem with us checking in late and he checked up on us the next morning which was nice! GET AWAY FROM IT ALL! This is a cozy, quiet home in a country setting located just 2 miles off I-5, 1 hour from Mt St. Helen, 1 1/2 hours from Mt Rainier or the beautiful Pacific Coast. There is a fenced yard, wood stove, fishing nearby on the Cowlitz River, walking trails (weather/safety permitting), lots of wild life, pond and awesome trees and plant life to enjoy. It is a great spot to spend a few days or just stop over if you are traveling down I-5 between Seattle Wa. and Portland, Oregon.

Merry has given such charming attention to detail with all the amenities one could ask for. It is spotlessly clean and comfortable. Thank you, Merry, for a delightful stay!

very private extra large campsite, room to roam, flat level land, with private path to the Toutle river, room for RVs, and tents, 1/2 mile from hwy 504, grocery store, I have been asked how many tents will fit on the property, on top where the grass is we have had 6 easily plus room for parking and a trailer or 2, but for the having a place off to yourself, there is the lower area where you have to go down a bank 16 ft to river level, lots of room for many more tents
great space for more then one RV, very scenic vista, and good stop over from Mt. St. Helens (35 miles up 504) Hwy 504 is a very unique hwy to visit Mt. St. Helens, also my property is near South and North Toutle Rivers, well known for the great fishing for Salmon and Steelhead , Harry Gardner county park is only 1/4 mile away and has access to river, with parking and is right on the rivers edge, there is a circle driveway entrance, for easy access in and out, I have a porta potty on site, picnic table, horse shoe pit, fire pit and barbeque on site, If wanting to have a family reunion camp out contact me, I have access to more space next door, for large party up to 50 maybe more campers
there is a park 1/4 mile further up the road, with a place to dump, my property goes out to the river where the north fork and south fork Toutle rivers come togeather, great for fishing, and clean clear rivers very popular for swimming, Drews Grocery store is only 1/2 mile away, been family owned since 1938 has great deli and very well stocked country store,
  • We had a great time at Marks property! He greated us when we arrived, provided fire wood and gave us a couple local tips on where to shop and take the kids for fun. The property was pretty secure for the dogs and children which relieves a lot of stress! The river was a little further of a walk than I envisioned, but definitely a pretty sight. We plan to book again next summer!

    Heidi2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a great spot for a family camping trip. Awesome responsive host and perfect basecamp for day trips to Johnston Ridge Observatory and the Ape Cave. Was able to see the Milky Way at night around the fire and had all the amenities of a campground (except running water), without the crowding and noise of other campers. We easily fit two 6-person tents and one 3-person tent, with plenty of room leftover.

    Cassandra2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Mark is very friendly and helpful. He has done a great job of setting up his little camping paradise

  • Great, private dry camping with access to a nice swimming hole!

    Sherri2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Mark’s campsite was well setup, convenient to our destination on St. Helens, private, and in a nice setting relatively well shielded from road noise, and bounded on one side by the large sand and gravel bench on the bank of the Toutle. I really appreciated that Mark was there to meet us when we arrived. He gave us information about the area, and supplied us with sufficient camp wood and kindling for our needs.. The camp was well setup with chairs, table, fire ring, bbq, and horseshoe court. I would visit again!

    James2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Mark knows camping! This a great location used by his friends and family for many years and now available through Airbnb. There’s ample parking, a clean outhouse, picnic table, workbench, private tent locations plus abundant seating around a safe fire pit surrounded by lots of play space with immediate river access. The site was well provisioned with plenty of cut firewood. This is Mark’s home town. He’s got a wealth of knowledge about local history and things to see and do. He was responsive to our questions and made sure we were comfortable. We’re glad to be part of the next chapter in the history of this camp.

Welcome to my home! The portion of the house you will be staying in was built in 1924 and still has that old-world charm. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom which you have exclusive access to as well as full use of the kitchen, back yard, and laundry room. Wifi is included and I have an Apple TV and a DVD player in the living room. There is also off-street parking that will accommodate two vehicles. The house is three blocks from peaceful Lake Sacajawea where there are off-street trails
The bathroom is pretty fully stocked, including toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, a first aid kit, and other items you might not have packed for your trip. Feel free to stop at the store on the way over and stock up the fridge. However, basics like coffee, tea, spices, etc., are provided for your convenience. I do not have kids, so it may not be as toddler-friendly as some may prefer. There is also a charcoal grill and fire pit in the back yard which you are welcome to use (just please be responsible about extinguishing coals afterwards!). If you have other questions or if there are things I can do for you to customize your stay and make it more pleasurable, please feel free to contact me!
As I mentioned, we are just a few blocks from Lake Sacajawea, a small, man-made lake with lots of bike and jogging trails, an outdoor exercise course, and periodic community events. There is a convenience store literally across the street and My Thai Kitchen, which is a fantastic Thai restaurant.
  • Keegan’s place was clean and enjoyable to stay. I would definitely book this place again.
