    Gemma2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Muriel’s place is lovely and unique. We have stayed here before and hope to stay again.

    Melissa2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • When I choose a whole house, I hope to find a nest to settle in, especially if it rains, as often in Totnes ... Muriel's cabin is a warm, cozy, pretty, well-equipped, sober, peaceful nest. a nice place to be with yourself while having, right next to what to walk, go eat in a pub .. and like me, go after to Shumacher College. Muriel is very nice. She reacts quickly to any message concerning the cabin. so great. I recommend!!

    Annick2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great little space and near the centre.

    Frank2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • The Painter’s Cabin is comfortable, cosy and warm. It is an ideal base to explore South Devon and the towns on the River Dart.

    Ric2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • It was an absolute joy to spend time in Muriel's Painters Cabin. It is close to the centre of Totnes, yet you feel like you're in the countryside, tucked away in her garden. It is very comfortable and well-designed both in terms of functionality (storage, hooks in useful places, a shower cubicle you can move in, good ventilation, a sturdy table that flips out) and how it feels as a space (restful, beautiful, lovingly put together). I had everything I needed for a short stay and Muriel made me feel so welcome, with little touches like fresh-made bread, butter and preserves. I heartily, heartily recommend!

    Gemma2020-02-06T00:00:00Z

  • The Loft was a wonderful place for our weekend away. Amy made our stay effortless and the Loft was immaculate on arrival. It’s well placed for all of Totnes and the surronding area. Stoke Gabriel is a great spot for dinner. We hope to stay again sometime. Thanks x

  • Amy's place is a wonderful, sparkling clean space, with everything needed for a relaxing visit to Totnes, with safe parking right outside the door. We will look to stay at Amy's again, the next time we visit the area.

  • Very comfortable, clean maisonette, ideal for 2 people, easy parking, quiet location, short drive from town . It suited our purpose very well. Stairs could be a challenge for older guests! We enjoyed staying there. Thanks to Amy for being a great host

    Kay2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was a 5-star stay for us. The bed was comfortable with thick, soft bedding, the house was spotless and colorful, and the area was extremely peaceful and friendly. We also loved watching all the birds amongst the trees outside the windows. This place felt like an extension of our own home and I didn't want to leave it. We highly recommend a stay here and walks around the neighborhood to see how many animal sculptures you can spot, done by the neighborhood artist who does it purely by donations to recipients' favorite charities.

    Rebecca2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place in walking distance of Totnes. The living room is lovely and bright on a sunny afternoon or perfect to hide from the storms. Would definately recommend Any and The Loft

Perfectly placed to explore vibrant Totnes. A good sized bedroom with a comfortable double bed in the heart of the town. Ideally suited for solo travellers, or couples looking for a relaxing, and clean space close to all the independent boutiques, cafes and bars. Breakfast is included, and you can choose from a range of cereals, home baked bread, preserves, fruit and juice (We provide both dairy and non dairy milk.)
A great place to stay whilst attending a course, or as a base to explore Totnes and the surrounding area. Our quirky house is over 250 years old, a Georgian building in a medieval town. We are right in the middle of Totnes, near to the historic Royal Seven Stars Hotel, the Curator Cafe, the Norman castle, the market square and numerous cafes, bars and independent shops. It is very easy to stay here without a car; there are good public transport links including rail and coach. The bus and coach stop is just across the street and the train station is a 10-15 minute walk. The house is light and airy in Summer, but warm and cosy in the Winter months. We are happy for guests to make use of our kitchen and sunny decked terrace. Our house contains hundreds of books you are most welcome to read. In particular we offer: -super fast wi fi access -tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom -an earth friendly, sustainable household -100% cotton bed linen and towels -eco friendly, vegan toiletries: soap, shampoo and conditioner -clothes storage - hair dryer, iron and ironing board are available on request
Totnes is a thriving town with a diverse and independent community. Many of its residents are artists or writers. It has bags of history and character. It has a wide range of coffee shops, restaurants, bars, art galleries, quirky independent shops, live music events and venue spaces. The town has a rich heritage, and thereis much to see and do: a museum, a Norman castle, Ghost walks, Transition Town tours, and colourful markets filled with antiques, artisan food, and bohemian clothing. The location of the town offers easy access to Dartmoor and the South Hams AONB and coastal areas. There are also great walks around the town, offering routes to Sharpham and the Dartington estate.
  • Great place to stay close to all of the all amenities.

    Dumitru2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Mel's place was the respite I badly needed . Her home is at the heart of the town centre and everything is a stone's throw away. Less than a 10 minute walk to the train station. Great transport links, although I walked everywhere. Lots of nice footpaths if you're into walking and hiking. For those with mobility issues, there are some stairs you might need to climb.

  • Same as previously

    Helen2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Apartment in the center of Totnes, easy to find, less than 10 minutes walk from the station. The Schumacher college where I was going is accessible on foot in 30 minutes by a pedestrian path. The bedroom on the 1st floor is right next to the bathroom. Everything is perfectly clean. Mélanie is welcoming and very cheerful. I recommend this accommodation :)

  • Good

    Frederic2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in Melanie's cosy attic room with a glimpses of the hills beyond. We had just the kind of breakfast we like in the kitchen and then explored. We turned right out of the front door to catch buses just 30 seconds walk away for Dartmouth and Brixham, and to start a walk along the river Dart. We turned left out of the front door to find an array of interesting independent shops and cafes all with a friendly chatty atmosphere. We highly recommend the restaurant Gather, and going to the Totnes Cinema, full of easy chairs, sofas and tables to sit at while you sip a glass of wine through the film.

    Paul2019-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, bright, beautifully restored building, easy access and very central. Plenty of extra info on the town in the room, as well as a selection of teas. No parking on premises but clear directions to nearest places, very helpful and friendly.

A minimalist and bright room with double bed, chest of drawers, comfy chair, table and chairs. The house offers panoramic views of Dartmoor and sunsets. It is in a peaceful and quiet location and is a great location for a short riverside walk into Totnes- a lively and alternative town boasting cafes and beautiful walks. Alternatively, Dartmoor and the sea are just a 20 minute drive away. I also have a second room listed as "bright fresh home" should you wish to come with family or friends.

  • Lovely room on a development overlooking most of Totnes and surrounding area. Suzanne was an excellent host. Would gladly stay again.

    Alex2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • I had a very pleasant stay at Suzanne's. She is a kind host and her house is located away from the business of Totnes town centre so nice and quiet. I had great views from my bedroom and it is a pleasure to bale to use the kitchen and cook my own food. A wonderful place for a retreat if you need one.

    Manon2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely, peaceful and large double room a short walk or drive from Totnes town centre. Suzanne was super welcoming and accommodating and despite us missing each other (due to timings) I was able to check in and out without any difficulties.

    Anna2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely clean, quiet room and only 10 minutes walk from Totnes high street, Suzanne was very welcoming and gave us lots of great advice about the local area. The bed is so comfortable, my partner and I both slept so well. We would absolutely stay here again.

  • Suzannes place is very comfortable, it is quiet, clean and cosy. You can use the kitchen and that is a real ‘plus’.Highly recommended!

    Heidi2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Suzanne is a lovely, warm person, who leaves the whole house to you. You can make use of everything in the house, including the kitchen. She gives you all the privacy you need. We didn’t see her a lot, because we were away all day, but the communication was good and fast. We could keep our bikes safely in her garden and there was a parking space for our car next to the house. It was a great place to stay.

  • I adored this place. I literally would have moved in...I absolutely loved the space and all the little details - the birdscreens and birdmugs, the beautiful plants, the terracey-bit, the whole layout that meant you had everything you need in one space (kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom, kitchen in one cabin, the excellent book collection - was just perfect. Georgi and Pete were wonderful, generous and friendly hosts. There's an ecological awareness too that really suited me. And good birds in the garden. You feel like you're on a retreat! You have to be a teeny bit athletic to get onto the mezzanine beds - the swimming pool ladder goes straight up, the wooden ladder is angled so a bit easier. Even as a single person, it was good value, but four can sleep here easily in the 2 mezzanine beds, which would make it amazingly good value. Really comfy and peaceful. A lovely reflective space I found. Didn't want to leave!

  • This is a really excellent AirBnb, clean comfortable and a bit quirky, with some nice, unexpected touches such as the chocolates! Must be even better in the warmer, dryer weather, when you can sit out on the verandah.

  • We had a lovely weekend at The Cabin, it’s perfectly located for both Dartington and Totnes, being so close to the Footpath along the beautiful river Dart. Our children loved the well thought through, playful space saying: “I liked that the beds were in the roof” (Maisie aged 10) “I liked the homely feeling it had, it was comfortable and it didn’t take long to settle down” (Henry aged 12). Georgi and Pete were very friendly and helpful with excellent, hassle free communication. We thoroughly recommend this lovely little bolt hole in the South Hams.

  • Warm comfortable cabin with nice glass windows to let in tons of light. Very well designed cabin, with seemingly everything you would need for cooking right there. The sleeping loft , the bathroom all were very well build and made it a pleasure to stay in the small cabin because it was so well done.

    Daniel2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely delightful. The cabin is cosy and comfy, and just gorgeous in every way. Thanks Georgi and Pete!

    Rachael2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely stay in The Cabin. Just as described and lovely and warm inside. Had everything we needed and more space than I imagined. Lots of thoughtful touches and we loved the eco friendly products to use. An added bonus was only a minute away from the river Dart and lovely running/cycling/walking paths, so some lovely morning runs. My only problem is, it was so lovely my daughter wants one built at home to the same standard. We will definitely use this again when visiting this area.

Totnes is a small town with its own unique culture. It was one of the first transition towns with a focus on sustainable living and alternative therapies coupled with good shopping and a selection of excellent independent eateries, coffee shops and pubs. We have our own cinema, amazing record shop and plenty of events if you fancy a night out. There are lots of places to visit closeby across the South Hams and South Devon including the river Dart, local walks and bike trails, beautiful beaches, moorland and countryside. There are plenty of historical properties locally and we are close to Plymouth and Exeter. Denys Road is a quiet and friendly street located a short walk to the town centre. There are several routes into town that lead you to the top, middle or bottom of the high street. We enjoy pleasant views and are very close to the river and local walks. An OS map of the area is provided. www.visittotnes.co.uk is a good starting point.
  • The loft is lovely - it's spacious enough that you can relax, sleep and work in the space without feeling cramped. Everything is well-finished as well, with lovely little touches everywhere.

  • Such a welcoming, bright, spacious loft suite, just a short and beautiful walk from the Totnes high street. Matt and Moya are considerate, helpful hosts who are also happy to give you plenty of your own space. I had an enjoyable and nourishing stay!

  • This really is a perfect room - very comfortable, sparkling clean, stylish, quiet and Matt and Moya made us so welcome. We were only there for one night but would have been more than happy to spend a week here. Having fresh toast and coffee in the morning was lovely.

    Alison2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Moya and Matt’s en-suite loft room was lovely; it was warm, clean and cosy and having an HD tv in the room was an added bonus. Communications with Moya were great too. Our dietary requirements were catered for and we were made to feel very welcome. The location is good - a short walk and you’re in the town. Parking is on their driveway. We would highly recommend this place to stay.

Just minutes walk from the centre of bustling market town, Totnes, Garden Cottage is hidden away down a quiet street with no through traffic. It's beautifully fitted and furnished complete with a wood burning stove and has a delightful private garden.
Although just a few minutes walk from the centre of the bustling market town of Totnes, Garden Cottage is hidden away down a quiet street with no through traffic and the loudest sound is usually the birds in the trees. There is a private parking space and then you approach the cottage through its private and very sunny garden. Totnes is a fantastic base to explore South Devon. It has a great selection of shops, cafes and restaurants but is also close to some fantastic beaches and the wild open spaces of Dartmoor. There are also some great walks from the door. The cottage was originally the changing rooms for a tennis court that belonged to the grand house next door, but it has been beautifully and tastefully converted into a luxurious cottage perfect for a couple. However one additional adult or child can be accommodated on the sofa bed in the open plan sitting room and kitchen. There is a good sized open plan living room with a stylish galley kitchen, dining table and chairs, comfortable sofa, flat-screen wall-mounted TV, and a wood burning stove. Beyond that you reach the large and very bright double bedroom. The bedroom has a king-sized (6ft) double bed. Next door to the bedroom is a luxury bathroom with a walk-in shower. The well-equipped kitchen has utensils and crockery chosen with real care. There's also a washing machine, dishwasher, free wifi (the internet however in Devon is not particularly fast) and a flat-screen TV. The cottage has its own private parking space (a rarity in Totnes) but is also only 15 minutes walk from Totnes mainline station with direct trains to Bristol, London and beyond. There are also some fantastic walks and bike rides from the door. The walk/bike ride up the hill to the Sharpham Estate is particularly recommended and you can combine that with a visit to taste some of the excellent local wines at Sharpham Vineyard.
A bustling medieval market town on a beautiful river with great walking, canoeing and swimming and just a few miles from fabulous beaches or Dartmoor. What's not to like?
  • Well presented , good location would definitely recommend .

  • Had a fab stay at Garden Cottage. The cottage had everything I needed and was incredibly clean. The bed was huge and SUPER comfortable! I arrived late and did find it difficult to find the entrance to the cottage in the dark - however David immediately came to the rescue when I phoned. Appreciated the wine and biscuits when I did get in!

Beautifully designed by Gemma Dudgeon Interiors, this peaceful pied-à-terre feels spacious thanks to the expansive skylights and vaulted ceilings. The interior is elevated by the bold and colourful walls with fun patterns adding a final flourish.
The flat was recently featured in The Observer Magazine and its location in the heart of Totnes makes getting around easy and convenient. Grab a drink at a local pub, dine at one of the family-owned restaurants, and explore the nearby beaches.
  • Great place, well designed, would like to stay again

    Martin2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, perfect for a short break in Totnes and very comfortable. Very close to main street with plenty of cafes, shops & bars. I booked this for a quiet break away as a surprise after recovering from an operation so it was a bonus that we didn't have to walk too far. The Mews is very well decorated, cosy, comfortable and quiet. Everything is well thought out so we had what we needed for our stay, loved the info on local restaurants etc as a nice touch. The shower was great with plenty of hot water. Alastair & Gemma made booking, check-in & out really easy and kept in touch to make sure things were ok. Would highly recommend.

    Sharon2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place. We loved it. Gemma was flawless in her communication and made us feel entirely welcome and looked after. This unique apartment is located in a perfect spot to walk to town but is very peaceful. I would not hesitate to stay again.

    Diane2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful self-contained studio apartment. The interior design elements are wonderfully thought out without compromising on comfort.

    Shelley2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This perfect accommodation was a jewel box, located within a stone’s throw of the main commerce and walking street of Totnes. The bed was incredibly comfortable , the design was current and classic with beautiful touches, fixtures and art; the skylights made it feel as though we were in the trees or on a ship, and the cottage was stand alone and private but not a bit remote. We will definitely stay here again when we come to magical Totnes.

    Vicki2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great few days away in this stylish and unique space. We particularly enjoyed the design colours and aesthetics, with everything within the property made to match. The space was used extremely well and everything was spotless and of a very high quality. Fantastically central location for nearby food and drink. We also drove out to enjoy some fresh air along the South West coastal path and local National Trust properties. We would highly recommend and would like to return. Many thanks! Ian and Rio :)

  • Our third stay at Nat and Mark's beautiful, quirky and cosy home. Staying here is a real treat and has become a weekend highlight in our year! Everything about the experience is easy and relaxing from the communication to the stay itself. We couldn't recommend this highly enough if you are looking for an extra special break. Look forward to seeing you again soon!

  • A wonderful tranquil environment, tucked away, but conveniently just off the main street. Such tasteful décor and the thought that Natalie had put into dressing the cottage was outstanding. Natalie made additions and finishing touches that were personal to myself and my daughter particularly regarding a vegan diet. It was the perfect retreat - thank you.

  • Be prepared for a small but so perfectly formed air bnb experience ... Totnes is a great town and I can not think of how you could improve on the stay in the heart of the town.. The house has everything you would need and more ... the calm music playing and the wonderful fragrance just makes you feel so welcome ... thanks so much.. we loved it..

    Susie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Many thanks for a wonderful stay. The place was excellent and you very thoughfully provided everything, what excellent hosts you are. I wish everywhere was like your place to stay at.

  • Loved it from the moment we walked in and were lucky enough to be able to book an extra night which made our trip so much more enjoyed. Loved the art work the attention to detail surpasses most other places. Looking forward to coming back.

  • This place is the perfect getaway in a perfect location to the centre of Totnes but tucked away so that you feel secluded. Beautifully decorated with many thoughtful touches. A great space. Hosts communication was brilliant. I highly recommend!

  • Wow what a place; I’ve been lucky enough to stay in some of the best hotels in the world. And a few “plus” air bnbs - this one takes it to a whole new level...gluten free chocolates on arrival for my coeliac daughter, scented candles, yoga mats, extra supplies “just in case”, they really have thought of everything. I wouldn’t hesitate on recommending this place and we’ll definitely be back.

    Kate2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is by far and away the best cottage we have stayed in and we have stayed in a lot! It was beautifully decorated, incredibly comfortable, spotlessly clean and, most notably, equipped with everything you could possibly think of and more. The kids’ beds had beautiful toys and books laid out on them which they absolutely loved (and our 6 year old said it was the best bed ever, with “silky smooth sheets”, which we agreed with). There were extremely generous supplies and provisions in the kitchen and bathroom, carafes of mint water, candles and essential oil burners, flowers and beautiful leaves, chocolates, games, colouring pens and pencils... you name it! We cannot thank Nat and her family enough and will definitely return. Nat was incredibly speedy at communicating and very helpful in every way. Thanks so much!

  • This was my 3th Visit to Polly. I absolutely love staying in her beautiful home which is so thoughtfully organised for the convenience of her visitors. Polly is a genuinely wonderful host who has every detail covered. This visit I found I did have any pyjamas with me so Polly leant me a pair. Beyond the call of duty I think. I suspect that I will return many times more. Just love it there and the garden is a lesson in how to garden for wildlife. Just wonderful.

Meadow House is just a few hundred yards from the top of Totnes High Street but overlooks the lush countryside with views of the motte and bailey castle & Dartmoor. A large Grade II listed house was once which a small boarding school. Guests can walk out through the lush garden, out through a private meadow and through a gate to access a network of bridleways and lanes. Double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom together on the first floor with a view of the back garden and rolling hills.
Meadow House might have once been a school but it feels as if it were built for guests; with billowing light rooms and large Georgian windows with views in the distance of the famous Tors of Dartmoor It’s a wonderful place to stay but it likes to keep some of its secrets until you arrive. Madeline and Daniel and their two children have lived in Totnes for four years. There is a wealth of things to do in the local area; some of Britain's best beaches (20-30 mins drive) and Dartmoor (20 mins). We offer breakfast which at an extra cost of £7.50 a head (£3 for children) will be laid out with muesli, cereal, toast, yogurt, fruit, tea and coffee so you can help yourself. WiFi is freely available. We can do a wash or drying load which is £4 per use to cover expenses. There is a table in the garden you can sit on a sunny day and key to a gate to reach a woodland and bridleways at the rear. We hope you enjoy your break here.
We are just a stones throw from the top of the ancient Totnes high street with its historic medieval buildings and narrow lanes with Drift Record Shop, The Hairy Barista coffee shop, some lovely antique shops and Zero Waste England’s first no waste shop. We hope you have a fantastic stay and enjoy all the beautiful South Hams has to offer with spectacular beaches, rivers and moors all a short drive away. We have a list in the bedrooms to help you plan your time.
  • Lovely house, friendly owners. Don't forget to ask for guidance on best bread and pastries in the locality!

  • Such a lovely couple and home! Located only a couple minutes from the high street as well!

    Isabelle2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Madeline & Daniel were very welcoming and helpful. The house is huge, but cosy. Its in a great spot backing on to a meadow yet a short walk from the centre of Totnes.

    Marianne2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • I would highly recommend this wonderful home. A minute from the high street with a great variety of cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops and you can walk to the station in 10 mins. The house is beautiful, interesting, warm and has good energy. My room was spotless, the shower is the best hanger cure out and the bedding is of lovely quality. Maddy and Dan are so welcoming, engaging, authentic, kind and thoughtful. Their children and Maddy's Mum and dog are all really lovely and help create a relaxed and safe atmosphere. To me, this stay was the epitome of what Airbnb is all about (well maybe what is was to start with anyway!) Connecting people around the world based on trust and respect.

    Lorna2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Madeline and Daniel have an amazing house, steeped in Totnes history. The en-suite room is beautiful, it has a comfy bed and a lovely view of the garden. If you want luxurious peace and quiet and yet be close to town, this is for you!

Once part of an old mews, the house has been converted into a modern and spacious home, with bright, light filled rooms. Guests benefit from their own staircase, leading to a private bathroom and large bedroom. Ideally situated within the Bridgetown area of Totnes, the town - with its wonderful array of independent shops, cafes and restaurants - is a 5 minute walk away.
My house is in a peaceful mews, tucked away in an old part of Bridgetown, on the other side of the river from the main town. There's a parking space available in the courtyard outside.
There''s so much to say about Totnes ! A medieval town with incredible charm, its vibrant culture and independent outlook make this a unique and stimulating place to visit. There's a fabulous cafe just over the bridge, where you can get excellent coffee ; they do great Italian food at lunch-time and in their Osteria restaurant on the first floor
  • Had a great stay, beautiful and interesting house. Really handy to pop into Totnes for a coffee. Would definitely recommend.

  • Laurence is a wonderful host and his home is lovely. Everything is so clean, and the location, with parking, was perfect. We look forward to returning!

    Heather2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay. Spotlessly clean. Laurence was very friendly. Have already booked again for end of the month.

  • I had a great stay at Laurence's house. It is a lovely, calm space and is a perfect base for exploring Totnes and the surrounding area. Laurence was very welcoming and friendly - he responded to my emails immediately and gave me some very helpful tips on local places to visit.

    Jessie2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Laurence’s space is great! Totnes is a lovely town with lots of quirky shops and cafés and he’s centrally located so everything is walking distance. It’s a little tucked away, so just treat finding it as part of the adventure(!) or ask him for help. His house is made up of two halves, and there are two Air b’n’b rooms that share their own bathroom, stair and lounge space. The room is simple and spotlessly clean and the bathroom is lovely. Laurence provides a nice breakfast and great conversation but also respects your privacy if you wish. I would happily stay there again.

    Eileen2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Laurence’s place is a great find. It was perfect location for us. We could park there and walk to places nearby. It is very central so you can gently stroll to the market, shops and eating places. It was very quiet with no noise to disturb us, just some distant cries of seagulls to remind us of the sea. Our stay was comfortable and easy going. We couldn’t stay for breakfast as we were meeting friends, but it was there for us and we could take some for the road. Laurence was very welcoming, giving us space and privacy, but was around when we needed and gave good tips and advice of the local area. We would stay there again. Thankyou!

  • Lovely place to stay in Totnes, nice and close to the town centre. Laurence made us feel at home during our time in Totnes and was easy to communicate with. His home is comfortable and stylish and he was easy to talk to with great local tips but also respected our space. Would recommend!

My place is close to nature and culture, including beautiful gardens and events at Dartington Hall, walks along the lovely River Dart, great food & real ale at fourteenth century Cott Inn and all things friendly, fascinating and funky in Totnes. Drive for just half an hour to reach the sea, Dartmoor and the cities of Exeter & Plymouth... A tranquil sanctuary awaits you in our secluded garden room, in a purpose built and fully insulated, double glazed and heated cabin with electricity and wi fi.
I look forward to welcoming you to our peaceful home in Dartington, where I live and work, along with two beautiful and friendly cats. We live in a private courtyard just off 'Hunters Moon' and everyone who visits comments on how light, tranquil and beautiful our little place is. With a deep interest in ecology, arts and spirituality, I've tried to make the space is as natural as possible with solid wood furniture, cotton bedding and a top quality mattress! I love art, books and plants... so you'll find lots of all three to enjoy in our space. I have two rooms for long term guests in the house and a cabin in the garden for short term AirBnB. This listing is for this garden room, which is in a purpose built, cosy wooden cabin with a double sofa bed featuring a very comfortable sprung mattress. It's easy to fold away each morning if you wish, to give you a living room to enjoy during the day. We created the cabin to welcome family and friends and it's fully insulated, double glazed and heated - so lovely all year round and has electricity and wifi. There's hanging space and a blanket box for storage plus a lovely bamboo desk & shelves (with interesting books) - perfect for writing or journalling. It's just a short step into the house for breakfast and to use the ground floor bathroom, which is sometimes shared with one other guest (there is a second bathroom upstairs). The cabin has beautiful, big french doors opening into the garden. It soaks up the sun in the afternoon and evening and has its own personal patio area. The raspberry & strawberry bed is close by, so in July you can help yourself to add to your breakfast in the morning!
We live in a superb location in 'Hunters Moon' on the Totnes side of Dartington and from here you can walk into Totnes town or to the Dartington Estate and River Dart. Totnes is a fascinating community, whether you love history, nature, arts, ecology etc and the Sharpham Estate with its creative course & events is also nearby. Totnes is home to the Transition Movement and has everything from Buddhist centres to real Italian cafes! Dartington Hall has its own independent cinema, free access to lovely landscaped gardens and Estate walks, unusual places to shop, eat out and often courses, talks, music & other events. It's also home to Schumacher College. Our local pub (just 5 minutes walk from the door) is the fourteenth century Cott Inn, recently voted supreme winner of best pubs in Britain and has live music several nights a week and an outdoor kitchen. We also have a great local, artisan bakery within walking distance. Hunters Moon was an Edwardian Estate so has beautiful mature trees and shrubs, plus a modernist estate built by the Dartington Trust. In the unlikely event that you run out of things to enjoy in Dartington & Totnes, you can also go exploring further afield to the wilds of Dartmoor, the spectacular South Devon coast (including sandy beaches) or enjoy some city life in historic Exeter or Plymouth. We are on the bus route and walking distance or a short taxi ride from Totnes station. This is a great location for those taking courses around Totnes & Dartington. We regularly welcome guests doing all kind of interesting things including crafts, dance, forest gardening, macrobiotics, puppetry and more...
  • Samantha is a lovely host with a wide knowledge of the local area. Her garden cabin is quiet and cosy and very good value. I spent 2 very comfortable nights at her place in Dartington where I felt completely at peace and safe. Highly recommended!

  • A small garden cottage with an couch that is convertable to a bed. It is very clean and nice details. For the bathroom and toilet you have to go in the main house, wich is ca. 6 meters walking. It is quit and relaxing. Bring slippers/flipflops so you can easily walk in the main house without shoes.

  • Sam is a warm and welcoming host, always happy to answer questions and provide recommendations for the local area. Her home is incredibly peaceful, I slept wonderfully in the cabin which is a lovely self contained space. I highly recommend for anyone seeking a peaceful Devon stay.

Best of both worlds; views of lush Devon countryside and Norman Castle but only a few yards from Totnes bustling medieval high street with its amazing coffee, independent shops and thriving market days. You will be staying in a Grade II listed family house once a boarding school. Dual aspect large bedroom on its own on the top floor, up a small staircase, with a double & single bed and a kettle to put on a brew. Shared but luxurious bathroom on the floor below with a roll top bath.
Meadow House is built for guests with large light spaces and stunning views in the distance of Haytor and Hound Tor of Dartmoor. It’s a wonderful place to stay but it likes to keep some of its secrets until you arrive. Madeline and Daniel and their two children will be happy to share local tips. There is too much to do with sandy beaches (20 mins drive) and Dartmoor (25 mins) and fantastic days and places to eat. There is a large lounge for relaxing and a table there for breakfast which at an extra cost of £7.50 a head (£4 for children) will be laid out with muesli, cereal, toast, yogurt, fruit, tea and coffee so you can help yourself. WiFi is freely available. There is a table in the garden you can sit on a sunny day and combination code to a padlocked gate to bridleways at the rear. We hope you enjoy your break here.
We are just a stones throw from the top of Totnes high street with its historic medieval buildings and narrow lanes with Drift Record Shop, The Hairy Barista coffee shop, some lovely antique shops and Zero Waste England’s first no waste shop. We hope you have a fantastic stay and enjoy all the beautiful South Hams has to offer with spectacular beaches, rivers and moors. Please ask for a list of our favourite things to do and where to eat.
  • A beautiful family home situated in Totnes. Excellent hosts would recommend them to everyone.

Living Lightly, the B&B with prices to reflect your impact. Until recently I worked for Transition Town Totnes, a charity encouraging community solutions to the worlds current environmental and social challenges. I want to create a beautiful space that at the same time showcases a lighter living approach to holidaying. Expect British wool duvets, organic cotton bedding, fabulous home-made, locally sourced food and heaps of character; all accompanied by a warm, friendly welcome.
This is a beautiful, light and spacious Victorian house, a few minutes walk away from the heart of Totnes. There are two double rooms available; this listing is for the room with an extra large, king size bed. The room can be adapted in to a family room, sleeping up to 4 people, using the futon as a 2nd double bed. The price is £60 per couple for B&B and £35 per single person. For 3 people wanting B&B and sharing this room the cost is £85. The Air BnB price listed is with breakfast. For the room with 1 double bed only, see my separate listing on AirbnB. The prices are the same per person for both rooms. Both rooms have pine wooden floorboards and the original fireplaces in situ. Breakfast is optional and the price will be reduced by £5 per person to reflect this. If you want to save further pennies I will do a reduction if you bring your own duvet covers, sheets and towels. If you stay for more than 3 nights, subsequent nights will be 10% cheaper. There is a reduction of 5% if you have travelled by public transport. If you have come to Totnes specifically to find out more about Transition, an additional 5% will go to Transition Town Totnes
The street has a strong sense of community and is on the sunny side of the town, with stunning views that take in the two prominent churches of the town and the surrounding lush green hills. There is a corner shop 2 mins walk away and a great selection of food shops, cafes and restaurants in the town 5 mins walk away. The street is quiet with no through traffic and there is free on street parking
  • Holly is incredibly hospitable, surprising me with lovely touches like a piece of yummy ginger cake. Really welcoming and extremely good cook - I recommend the pancakes for breakfast. Also, I've been inspired to buy a shampoo soap bar after giving it a go, so don't underestimate your eco-influence, Holly! Thanks for a fab stay.

    Sarah2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best air bnbs that I’ve stayed in. Great attention to detail, not over the top, quiet and easy :) perfectly comfortable and all basics covered in a tasteful way.

    Gabriel2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Holly is a great host, and the house is lovely. Very clean, comfortable, homely, soulful, peaceful and very close to central Totnes. I loved my stay there knowing that my visit had very little environmental impact and supported local economy. Really enjoyed Holly`s hospitality and the lush breakfast! I highly recommend it.

    Aslihan2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Read Holly's description and this is exactly what you get; no frills but clean & tidy, and a very friendly host. Homemade breakfasts were lovely too. About a 5min walk into town. Holly will chat and answer your questions but also leaves you in peace if that's your desire. Would stay again.

    Callum2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Holly is a wonderful host, her house is not only tidy and comfortable, but also promote environmental friendly living style. When you sightseeing from outside the window and garden, it is very beautiful, and the breakfast is customizable. The location is not far from Totnes Train Station, and high recommend you to choose living here.

    Euro2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Holly’s Living Lightly eco-home is a fantastic concept and revolutionizes b&b travel. She provides a consciously designed home with beauty, quality materials, healthful and nutritious meals all while creating less waste and sourcing everything locally, with sustainability and resilience in mind. Holly is a welcoming hostess - I arrived to an offer of a lovely pot of tea and scones with Devon cream and sour cherry jam. Breakfast options are plentiful and delicious. I enjoyed everything from the homemade granola and yogurt to the buckwheat crepes with mushrooms and wild nettle, shakshouka and toast. All of the ceramic ware was a delightful feast for the senses. Very clean bathroom, Comfy bed especially with a lovely hot water bottles provided with a divine woolen cover. This level of authentic consideration is not something you can find in the most expensive of hotels, and that is what struck me the most. Totnes is filled with uniquely quirky and welcoming like minded people who care about the future of the the planet and the concept of community. Holly walks the talk! The River Dart is just minutes away and it’s inviting waters demands you pack a swimsuit. Can’t wait to return with mine :)

  • Stayed here as close to Dart 10k Swim. Perfect location as could walk To event. Holly was lovely. Very thoughtful & baked is scones. Good value for money. Appreciated Holly’s Eco standards, which are not everyone’s. great bed. Light spacious rooms. Perfect place to explore Totnes

    Mark2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Holly's house is everything an AirBnb should be- it's very peaceful, welcoming and an inspiration for eco-friendly living. Such a nice idea to offer tips and information on a low impact lifestyle to guests. Holly is very helpful with local tips and the breakfast is delicious. More like staying in a friend's house than at a bed and breakfast. Highly recommended.

My home is a bright fresh contemporary house in a very fortunate situation up on a hill right beside the River Dart in Totnes and with views of Dartmoor and Haytor and the beautiful sunsets over the Moor. Its hill side situation also means that the sun shines fully onto it from late morning until evening. It's totally quiet with no traffic noise at all which makes it a very restful retreat space. There are many local walks along the river- To Sharpham Estate in one direction and to Dartington Hall in the other. Totnes is also the original transition town and the dedicated members of TTT (Transition Town Totnes) have enhanced the stunning beauty of the town by planting a lot of nut trees and planters for people to help themselves to salad, strawberries and raspberries ! TTT also offers films and talks to inform people of healthy attitudes to Nature and the environment . Totnes is close to the coast and Dartmoor, both offering wild and tranquil activities. Stunning walks and cafes at the coast and breathtaking views and characterful pubs with real ales on the moor. For people wanting to come away with family and friends I have one double room available and a king size room also .
Totnes is without a doubt the best town in Devon. The house sits on a hill overlooking the River Dart and Dartmoor.

In keeping with alternative Totnes, cosy Meadow Cottage is decorated in an eco friendly retro style to remind you of carefree times, but with all the modern home comforts you would also expect. Only 5 mins walk from the town centre and close to the river Dart it is in a peaceful, traffic free, semi-rural location surrounded by trees & birds with nearby walks. Bed 2 can be set up as a double or 2 singles. There is a great sunny outside space for drinks or supper under the stars.
The paints we chose when decorating are Auro - environmentally friendly, soft, colours and the soft furnishings used include vintage Ercol, Heals, Dartington Hall Tweed throws and original vintage materials and works of art. The bed linen is unbleached organic cotton in keeping with the eco-friendly atmosphere of Totnes itself. We hope you enjoy the nostalgic feel of the house as much as we enjoyed creating it. Whilst maintaining the nostalgic feel of the cottage there is also Wifi, smart TV, dishwasher, coffee machine and washer-dryer which help towards a restful holiday we hope.
  • Fabulous stay at Meadow Cottage, warm and cosy with everything we needed. Great location within walking distance to the wonderful town. Great communication from Francesca, thank you, will definitely recommend and return!

    Jo2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was clean and well kept, in a brilliant location. Couldn’t ask for anymore.

    Ross2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • This is a super clean, comfy well maintained cottage in a very peaceful location. There is a steep hill to walk up to the front door and parking is a bit of an issue as difficult to drive and park outside cottage so do be prepared to carry your luggage a little way up the steep hill. There are lots of car parks and on street parking when you look closely around the area. It was not a problem for us at all and we would highly recommend staying here. Near to the town and lots of beautiful walks from the doorstep plus good bus and rail network. Francesca was so helpful and responded quickly to any communication. We will happily return!

    Sarah2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Just returned from a second visit to Meadow Cottage and enjoyed our stay yet again. Really convenient location for visiting the South Hams area. Lovely cottage, quiet, very clean and comfortable. Nice outdoor seating area. No onsite parking but parked in the nearby long term car park which is reasonably priced and was able to use my Ringo parking ap. Would recommend and certainly good value for money considering its location in this beautiful part of the country.

    Linda2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is a terrific little cottage, very well presented, clean and with everything you could want to hand. Totnes is also a great town. We chose it because we wanted to visit other attractions in the area but found Totnes itself full of interesting shops, lots of places to eat and very friendly people.

  • Lovely cottage in peaceful location near town centre. Interesting walks into town through historic streets and lanes. Totnes brilliant; great dining and lovely friendly town with tons of independent shops and everything for ethical living. Very interesting stay and our young daughter had a great time too.

A warm welcome from us and our cat Harry awaits you in our cosy cottage, just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Totnes. A beamed ceiling, a pretty garden along with a comfy bed and good wifi.
Chris and Nina invite you to come and stay in their lovely old terraced cottage in Totnes, in beautiful Devon. The house is in a conservation area and built around 1890. We have a lovely beamed double bedroom available, with a window overlooking the pretty garden with views over to the nearby church. You will have a comfortable bed with four soft pillows with 100% good quality cotton bedding. The room includes a bedside table and lamp, storage. Bottled water and glasses are provided in the room. There’s a good internet signal as well. The bathroom is downstairs on ground floor and we provide towels and shower gels. Please note that the stairs in the house are narrow and steep, we are used to them but a low light will always be kept on to help you find your way! You are welcome to use our kitchen during the day to make teas, coffee and sandwiches. We only ask that you eat in the kitchen or garden rather than the bedroom. You are welcome to use the garden. It’s nice to sit out in the evening when the weather’s warm. You are also welcome to store bikes in the garden where they will be safe. We have a garden studio room where Nina makes beautiful clothes- these are for sale, or can be handmade to order while you’re here. Or even better - learn to make your patterns and sew (£40 for a taster session of approx 2 -3 hours) - and have something special to take with you when you leave!
We are in a quiet enclave of cottages near a churchyard and 5 minutes from the river Dart where evening walks or cycling along the river can be taken. There is an excellent corner shop 1 minutes walk away and a fabulous coffee at the curator cafe is only 5 minutes away!
  • Great hosts. We really enjoyed the hospitality and the great conversations.

  • We had a wonderfully warm welcome and a very comfortable stay. Nina and Chris are friendly and interesting, their home is lovely, and it’s super close to the centre of town whilst also being nice and quiet for a good night’s sleep. Would thoroughly recommend.

  • Nina's cottage is charming. A lovely, secluded little spot but a very easy walk into the centre of Totnes. The room was really nice and spotlessly clean. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay.

    Robin2019-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Nina’s place is beautiful, tucked away in the heart of Totnes. Her and her husband were lovely, so welcoming and kind. Would definitely stay again. Thank you both!

  • My fiancé and I stayed at Nina and Chris’ cottage on our way to Falmouth. They were wonderfully warm and welcoming hosts. They have a lovely house in excellent location within easy reach of the town. We were able to park right outside their property. I’d have no hesitation in recommending them as the ideal hosts if you’re looking for a cosy break away from it all in Devon.

  • Marcea's house is a very special place. It feels like home from the moment you enter it. It is an eco home, so be or a prepared for eco rules, like saving water and electric energy. I fully share these values so it was an extension of what I do at home anyway. Marcea is a wonderfully warm and welcoming host, who is always there with a cup of tea waiting for you, while her two sweet pets are always ready to express their curiosity and love, Mr Stripey and Pickles, I will miss you! Marcea even gave me a lift to the local retreat farm in the morning! We shared stories and cookies and more tea in the evening! I will stay there again!

    Marta2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • I had a lovely restful few days staying with Marcea in her cosy home, which was full of character and had lovely artistic touches all over the house. Marcea was very relaxed and accommodating, and she has the most gorgeous cat! Would highly recommend staying there.

    Madeleine2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Marcea is very warm, welcoming and easy and interesting to chat to and we so appreciated the lift from the station when our train was badly delayed. (Thanks a million Marcea!) There is a cosy and relaxing atmosphere in her home and we really appreciated the eco-awareness (extremely comfortable bed too and the basin in the room was a bonus). Her cat and dog are very sweet and well-behaved! An interesting part of Totnes to stay in and an easy walk into the town. Excellent value.

    Sian2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Marcea is wonderfully warm and her home is so welcoming and inviting. It's less than 10 mins walk from Totnes centre and in a lovely, quiet street. Marcea was really prompt to respond to questions before we arrived and was very flexible about checking in and out. She didn't bat an eyelid when I asked if she had any art materials to make a sign for an event I was taking part in, and was only too willing to help. We'd definitely stay there again.

    Tony2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • A warm and friendly welcome awaits! The location is great for Totnes Centre. It felt really homely!

    Julie2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Marcea was a wonderful host, thoughtful, kind and helpful, I’d certainly recommend her place to other travellers. Thank you!

    Anna2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Marcea was such a gracious host, collecting me from the station and looking after me in every way. Her house is so cute and comfy and really well situated to explore Totnes. She is a wealth of information about Transition Towns and XR and we had many good chats together. Totnes has a lovely atmosphere with their ancient roadways and Elizabethan museum and I spent a happy day wandering around the fabulous Dartington Estate listening to the summer music.

    Victoria2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Marcea is such a kind host! Her place is comfortable and homey, just a quick walk from the high street, and her animal companions are delightful.

Perfectly placed to explore vibrant Totnes. A good sized bedroom with a comfortable double bed in the heart of the town. Ideally suited for solo travellers, or couples looking for a relaxing, clean and private space close to all the independent boutiques, cafes and galleries. Breakfast is included, and you can choose from a range of cereals, home baked bread, preserves, fruit, and juice. (We provide both dairy and non dairy milk.)
A great place to stay whilst attending a course, or as a base to explore Totnes and the surrounding area. Our quirky home is over 250 years old, a Georgian building in a medieval town. We are right in the middle of Totnes, near to the historic Seven Stars Hotel. Many of the main interest points of the town are within a few minutes walk away: the River Dart, the Steamer Quay, the Curator Cafe, the Norman castle, the market square and numerous cafes, pubs and independent shops. It's very easy to stay here without a car: there are good public transport links including rail and coach. The bus and coach stop is just across the street, and the train station is a 10-15 minute walk. The house is light and airy in the Summer, but warm and cosy in the Winter months. We are happy for guests to make use of our kitchen and sunny decked terrace. Our house contains hundreds of books you are most welcome to read. In particular we offer: - super fast wi fi access - tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom - an earth friendly, sustainable household - 100% cotton bed linen and towels - eco friendly, vegan toiletries: soap, shampoo and conditioner - clothes storage - hair dryers, an iron and ironing board are available on request.
Totnes is a thriving town with a diverse and independent community. Many of its residents are writers or artists. It has bags of history and character. It has a wide range of coffee shops, restaurants, bars, pubs, art galleries, interesting independent shops, live music events and venue spaces. The town has a rich heritage, and there is much to see and do: a museum, a Norman castle, Ghost Walks, Transition Town tours and colourful markets filled with antiques, artisan food and bohemian clothing. The location of the town offers easy access to Dartmoor and the South Hams AONB and coastal areas. There are also great walks around the town, offering routes to Sharpham and the Dartington estate.
  • Expect a really nice home, and that means the room and also the hosts. Really clean and really kind.

This is a beautiful light space with a high vaulted ceiling. It has its own front door, a private bathroom with a large walk-in shower. There is WiFi access, 4K TV at the end of the king size bed with Netflix, Amazon Prime and Sky TV, ideal for those nights when you just want to chill out. We have space for parking at the front of the house. The apartment is situated right in the centre of Totnes, walking distance from all amenities. Totnes is close to beaches and other attractions.
We have converted our garage into a beautiful separate large space, with vaulted ceiling and ensuite bathroom. We have put in a separate front door so you can come and go as you please. There is a kettle with tea/coffee for your use. Please Please Please park on the drive or gravel when you get here. No need to park on the road, traffic wardens are pretty 'on it' in Totnes..
We live on a very quiet road right in the centre of Totnes. Totnes is a friendly, slightly alternative town with loads of unique shops and tonnes of character. We have nice restaurants, bars and cafes, a river and we are 15 mins from the nearest beach.
  • I very much enjoyed my stay at Andy and Philippa’s Airbnb. The location was very handy for me, just a short walk from the train station. The room was spotless and came with great amenities, I would definitely stay again!

    Laura2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect spot for a wonderful night away. Own entrance and bathroom, great amenities and clean room. More than expected 🙂

    Emily2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • The Snug is perfectly located for exploring Totnes on foot. It’s a very well appointed space and Andy and Philippa were both professional and helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this place.

    Justine2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great space tight in the heart of Totnes, with thoughtful welcoming touches from the host!

    Ali2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • The room was lovely, great amount of space for two people. Very clean and everything we could have needed was available. Great location, everything was walking distance! We went to Gin School at Dartington shops which was an hours walk along a lovely woodland path, Andy and Philippa had given us directions in advance. We aren’t big drinkers but was unsure what the experience would involve and didn’t want to risk driving afterwards. We went for dinner at a lovely Bistrot in Totnes and then the following morning stopped off at the famous ‘China Blue’. There is so much in the area and this Air BnB is in an amazing location. Thank you Andy and Phillips for a fab first experience of using Air BnB. We have already recommended you to friends and family!

    Stephanie 2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was as expected, descriptions, remarks and reviews are accurate. The apartment was clean and safe with a great shower. Being able to make our own breakfast was a plus but parking was a real bonus. The location close to the town centre was ideal. We had a great time!

    Mike2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • The Snug is in such a convenient location - a 2 minute walk into Totnes where there are some great shops and eating places - also, a space to park your own car which is fairly hard to come by in some South Hams towns. The space is very cosy and spotlessly clean. It was great to have the independence to come and go via our own entrance as we pleased and made for a very relaxing and straight-forward trip. We would definitely recommend this Air BnB to anyone wishing to explore the local area (including Sharpham's vineyard, £12 taxi ride away!)

    Elizabeth2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location to explore Totnes (VERY short walk into the town), and for exploring the area. Everything exactly as described, and suited us down to the ground. Really enjoyed our short stay and would definitely stay again.

Parking is free and generally plentiful near the house. I'm a teacher/actor/caterer. We are about 20/25 mins walk from the station.
  • I had a great stay here...actually I’ve stayed twice!...and Tom is a genuinely lovely and helpful host. Room was cosy with very comfy bed and the loo is right next door. It’s a great location for the town which was easily walkable and the street was quiet so I slept very well. Also it’s excellent value for money...I will be back!!! Thanks again Tom 👍 😊

  • Being welcomed with a cup of tea at the close of a long day was wonderful. The bed is very comfortable and facilitated a good nights sleep. The house is light and airy, Tom is open and friendly. It was really nice being downstairs and having the loo and sink right next to my room. I felt very much at home. If all goes to plan, I will book again.

  • Polly was a welcoming and very friendly host. She accommodated our specific needs regarding food and checking in and out times. The accommodation was full of character, had everything we needed and was comfortable and sparkling clean.

    Julie2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Polly's place was great! The attic space was comfortable and warm, and relatively private as it is at the top of the house with a private bathroom. The walk into Totnes town centre is about 5 minutes. Polly herself was very welcoming and informative about where to eat and drink in town, and nothing was too much trouble! Breakfast being available in the morning is a nice touch, perfect for us before a long drive!

    Megan2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our second time staying with Polly. Fabulous hospitality, lovely clean room and an amazing bath. Polly is always very warm and welcoming.

    Samantha2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived at Polly’s on a wet, cold night and immediately felt at home. Polly’s home feels calm and relaxing, and the attic room is nicely arranged. Polly is a great host in the sense that you feel genuinely welcome in her home, and she is accommodating and kind. Thank you for having us stay.

    Lucy2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Really good place to stay. Lovely room. Polly was a great host interesting but not intrusive. We were very happy.

    Martin2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Polly is the perfect host. She has a beautiful garden, a cosy home full of pretty touches and a true interest in people. Whilst respecting our privacy, she made us feel very welcome and looked after throughout our stay. We felt like we had had a real break from the world and left feeling refreshed and uplifted. We highly recommend this little haven and its sparkly-eyed host.

  • It was lovely to have the garage. Polly was a lovely hostess.

    Mary2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t recommend Polly’s highly enough. She could not have been more hospitable or helpful. We were in Totnes for the weekend and the Dart 10k, so our hours were unusual but this didn’t present any problems for her. Her communication was first class and breakfast buffet very welcome.
