We had an absolutely fantastic weekend here, Kevin and Tracy are attentive whilst also respecting your privacy, the facilities are fantastic and the place is very clean and well maintained, It provides great access for alton towers and is well situated for transport routes. Truly a great place, don't hesitate anymore, Book it!

Liana was kindfull to pico me up a the train station! The place is very clean , spacefull and Nice and its on a very good and quiet neighbourhood! Everything was perfect!

Liana is friendly and helpful. She provided breakfast in the kitchen ( fresh milk, bread, tea, coffee and whatever in the fridge and kitchen to help your self) a full kitchen and very clean environment. The residence is bright and radiant. Liana provided full support to help with house hold appliance. Positive her residence is very close and able to meet any time while giving you a full control on her house. We had two little children and residence has nice play area. Not to forget Liane left some toys to entertain the children. I will use this house again. Lovely

Lianas apartment is fabulous! It is much bigger than it appears in the pictures and is immaculately kept! Everything was spotless! The apartment had everything you could need, shampoo/conditioner, hairdryer, towels, kitchen utensils etc. It has a secure parking space which was very helpful and also kept our rental car safe! Liana herself is super friendly and responded to messages immediately. She was also flexible about check in time, our flight was delayed and Liana had no problem waiting up until we arrived quite late. Would definitely stay here again!

A lovely home from home, with everything you need in the kitchen, a well equipped dining room, great bathroom, four poster bed in the bedroom, and another floor above should you need it! Effortless communication and a very competitive price makes this little home a superb option if visiting and hiking in the area. Easy access parking and great pubs nearby complete a very enjoyable stay.

We had a brilliant nights stay at Kevin and Lesley's place this weekend. The home is absolutely beautiful and the location was perfect for us, as it was rural and so peaceful but only a couple of minutes stroll to the local pub restaurant. We had a fabulous and indulgent meal there and then retired for a fantastic nights sleep in a really comfortable bed, and awoke to a view out the window of green fields and lambs! Bliss. Kevin and Lesley were fantastic hosts and made us feel at home. The two furry hosts Molly and Willow also made us smile throughout! Would definitely recommend and gladly stay here again. If you're looking for a quiet bolt hole in the country, this is for you.

The perfect Airbnb experience. Beautiful house just a short drive from amazing walks in the Peak District. Kevin and Lesley were superb hosts, the perfect mix of sociable, helpful and welcoming. And to top it all off the two dogs were very cute.

Lesley and Kevin were most welcoming. friendly and thoughtful throughout our stay. The room is very comfortable with a large ensuite shower room, lots of storage space, and a comfortable bed, all in a lovely converted barn space. The room is private at the end of a comfortable lounge which guests may use. We were also offered the use of the kitchen for tea and coffee whenever we wanted. Our hosts were very accommodating to our vegan diet, providing vegan-friendly breakfasts for us. The only drawback is the patchy WiFi, which doesn't reach the room, although it works in some areas of the lounge and in the kitchen area. We also couldn't get mobile coverage in the house. But that can be a blessing! in a beautiful area, with great access by car to the Peak District for walking, and to Chatsworth - highly recommended.

Leslie made us most welcome with a cup of tea on arrival. The area of the house is lovely with nice pubs and places of interest nearby. The house is great, a tastefully renovated barn. The guest bedroom is very comfortable with a very nice en suite bathroom. A real home from home.

Kevin and Lesley could not have done more for us. We stayed to visit Alton towers and were completely enchanted by their beautiful home. Everything was immaculate and nicely decorated including the comfy bed and modern en suite. They were very welcoming, even to the extent of booking us into the local pub for dinner. Their home was easy to find and the surrounding countryside was blissfully quiet. Would definitely book again if in the area!

Karl has put together a ranging farmhouse full of antique furniture; we spent some time in the large kitchen playing chess, pretending to know how to use the coffee machine, and experimenting with the Aga. We live in London, so to be somewhere so quiet was a treat. Karl made us feel very welcome, showed us the way to the local pub (food: excellent), and even introduced us to the sheep that he keeps in a paddock next to the farmhouse. All in all a great stay. What an amazing find! Karl is a great host, excellent and prompt communication, and truly went above and beyond to ensure I had a lovely stay. I was only there for a brief visit for work, but was overwhelmed by the property. Karl said they used to be old racing stables which he has converted into a fantastic home. It is spacious and grand. The location is beautiful, set deep in the countryside - all you can hear are the birds. I stayed in the main bedroom but there is another double bedroom upstairs if you are a larger party. Thank you for a great (albeit brief) stay.

Ashok is a very friendly and helpful host. The apartment has been renovated to a high standard. Some aspects still appear to be a work in progress at the moment. It is in a very lovely part of the city.

Overall a nice stay at Ashok's place. He was very quick at getting back to me with any queries I had before the stay. The location is a nice and quiet area. The apartment is well equipped and feels nice and private. It was nice to be able to take our own dinner back there in the evening, cook it and then relax on the sofa afterwards. Towels were provided which was helpful. The canal is not too far from his house, so my friend and I went for a walk the morning after we stayed there which was enjoyable. I would definitely consider staying there again.

I have to say, I was blown away by how clean, cosy and comfortable the studio was. The host was very welcoming, paid great attention to making sure me and my guest were happy and relaxed. We had a fantastic time at Wooton Lodge. The place is situated in a very tranquil and quiet rural area. Very close to many places of interest like Bridgnorth, Shrewsbury and the Blists Hill Victorian town, that we totally recommend for families! Sue very warmly welcomed us on arrival and explained everything we needed. The place has everything you need. It's very warm and cossy. Nice little details such breakfast items and milk. We have small baby and they provided us with everything we needed for him including the towel that we forgot, which we thought was very thoughtful. Definitely would recommend the place! Accommodation was excellent with all the mod cons and in a country side location.

We got held up on our way to the property meaning we arrived in the dark, Rob and his wife waited outside to greet us and were very accommodating showing us around considering the late hour. The house was immaculate and we were pleasantly surprised to have a fresh loaf of bread and milk waiting for us! Overall a fantastic stay, would definitely recommend!

The shepherd's hut isn't to be missed. I wouldn't change anything about our stay. The hosts are warm and friendly. The hut oozes with charm and is the perfect base from which to enjoy the Peak District. Staying at the hut is a real experience. I'd thoroughly recommend it to anybody.

Our stay at the Shepherds Hut was amazing, such a wonderful experience, even better than expected! We only booked for one night but wished we had stayed longer. The hut is so warm and peaceful and has everything you need for a relaxing stay in the countryside. Our hosts were so lovely and friendly and even built a fire pit for us to use just before our stay, which just enhanced our experience there! We really couldn't have asked for a better place to stay with better hosts. I would recommend the Shepherds Hut to anyone and can't wait to go again!

This place is MAGIC. And our stay wasn't even spoiled by getting back home and reading in the paper that David Cameron has just purchased this very kind of hut. The hosts are the most warm and friendly people ever and it would be a beautiful place to be even in the winter, as so warm. there's a great cafe and pub about 30 mins walk away and beautiful valleys all around. perfect barbecuing views and a fire pit too! We think it would be cool to come here for a good few nights especially if you wanted to do some writing or something like that. Top stay all round! thanks

What a fabulously cute and cosy Hut! We had a wonderful stay at the Shepherd Hut! It was extremely warm and very clean - it takes glamping to the next level! Perfect location for exploring the beautiful scenery of the Peak District and staffs moorland. Make sure you head to the cafe at flash for the best way to get your energy up ready for a day of walking and basking in the wonderful views!

We came and stayed for one night, it was a lovely place nicely decorated. When we arrived the wood burner was already lit, there were towels and all the amenities you could want. It was lovely and warm and the hosts were wonderful

We have to say that this was an incredible find and excellent value. We were after a place to stay Friday – Monday, so that we could explore the Peaks, despite the heavy snow forecast. Katie was a wonderful host who laid out treats for our arrival, which was a lovely surprise and fabulous start to our mini break. Every little detail in the cottage had been considered and the heating was on when we arrived. For us (two adults and a dog) there was nothing that hadn’t been thought of. The cottage was cosy and homely, the sofa and the bed were both comfy and clean. There were fresh towels and Molton Brown toiletries available for our use, which was another lovely, unexpected surprise. Tucked away in the bedroom was a selection of books, a yoga mat and a hair dryer which was great as I had forgotten to bring mine. I also enjoyed Katie’s artwork and pottery and other original pieces placed around the cottage. Katie and Tim had put together a useful welcome pack that gave us all the info we needed to operate the cottage, i.e. the fire and heating etc. It also had really handy info about the village and walking nearby. The cottage is located near a super pub, very welcoming and dog friendly, serving lovely food. A local shop and post office was just at the bottom of the road too. We visited, Matlock, Bakewell, Dovedale and Cratcliffe – all nearby. I would not hesitate to recommend Katie’s cottage to anyone, it was perfect. We have told our friends and family and look forward to visiting again in the near future. Thanks again for sharing your cottage with us.

The cottage more than lived up to its description. The village was quaint with good walks to enjoy within easy reach even for a couple of old fogies like us. The bottle of wine on arrival was much appreciated! and

It is impossible to describe how wonderful this place is. I can tell you that it rained for three of the four days I was here, I walked 50kms around the cottage in the rain and I loved every minute. It is a beautiful space even standing in the porch looking out on the rain. The garden is a delight with all the bird visitors. The cottage is perfect from its assortment of comfortable chairs to sit in, great cooking facilities and a lovely comfortable bed. I did not want to leave.

We had a really magical couple of nights in Lancaster cottage! The house was beautiful and exactly as pictured. Winster is a lovely, historic village with glorious views over the surrounding hills. Katie was a wonderful host, she had really thought about every little detail making our stay even more magical! We were welcomed with fresh scones and jam from the local village shop, and a bottle of bubbly for my partner’s birthday! The cottage had OS maps and guide books for the local area, basic food supplies in the kitchen (including filter coffee!) and a small selection of DVD’s. Although small, the cottage is immaculately decorated, and the bed unbelievably comfortable. We went on a 13 mile hike right from the front door, which went through every terrain imaginable – woodland, fields and moors, through Iron Age stone circles and villages. Highly recommend a break here if you want to escape from the world!

This cottage is an absolute treasure, would visit again in a heartbeat.

Our hosts made us feel welcome from the start by going out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The room was excellent and unique - the views were superb. They even invited us to join them for drinks with their friends and we would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

We had a wonderful welcome at this really amazing B&B. The windmill is absolutely beautiful: full of character and really fascinating. Our room was very comfortable and our hosts were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were delicious. We could not fault our stay at all...even the weather was good! Such a magical place to stay: our few days at this beautiful country pile were a delight, from start to finish. A peaceful, beautiful setting; the softest beds; a true manor house experience, with breakfast taken in the drawing room. We were very lucky to have the whole top floor to ourselves. Stunning views out onto green, rolling hills, speckled with sheep, from both the bedroom and the en suite bathroom. Then, in the evening, the cat joined us on the couch, taking up prime position in front of the wood burner, as we watched a film: God was in His heaven, and all was right with the world. (I suspect this is a feeling with which all those who stay here can sympathize.) Caroline, though abroad, was very communicative and could not have been more helpful. And Jo looked after us wonderfully well: hard to imagine a more conscientious hostess.

Casterne Hall was a fabulous location for a very chilled weekend with friends and family. Caroline and Charles were the most welcoming and accommodating of hosts. Beds were super comfortable and there are idyllic views from every room. A great place to enjoy time with friends and family in a really beautiful setting.

Caroline and Charles were gracious hosts. There house is located in a beautiful and idyllic area surrounded by rolling hills, sheep, and cows. The drive up the house is breathtaking and the house itself is a true gem. Full of history and charm the house is cozy and welcoming. Charles had lit a fire for us upon our arrival and Caroline provided us with fresh eggs, milk, bread, and cheese. The rooms are full of charm and the mattresses were splendidly comfortable. Charles gave us excellent advice for walks in the surrounding areas and we enjoyed the breathtaking scenery. Charles and Caroline had great local advice on where to eat as well and we enjoyed their suggestions. This is a rare find on airbnb and I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the peak district. It made for a truly unforgettable and lovely weekend.

Casterne Manor is fantastic and set in beautiful surroundings. We had a quiet hen party with a fantastic meal in the dining room. Caroline was excellent at communicating with me and very accommodating helping me get all aspects of our stay sorted.
