27 miles from Sugarloaf, Bigelow Preserve, and the Maine Huts & Trails: enjoy a stay at the Runamuk Acres Conservation Farm! At the top of a rather steep set of stairs, at the very back of the house, this room offers 2 twin beds and a view of our 10-acre pollinator meadow. We offer a complimentary farm-fresh breakfast made with real ingredients from our own farm, and other local farms. Fill your bellies, meet our friendly critters, and experience farm-life first hand before your next adventure.
Runamuk Acres is a certified bee-friendly conservation farm with a mission to protect wildlife through the conservation of beneficial insects like pollinators, and microbial soil-life. Using methods of regenerative agriculture, we produce raw honey, beeswax products, organic eggs, vegetables, seedlings, and sheep for meat and wool. We invite you to experience farm-life up close and personal with a stay in one of the guest rooms in our farmhouse built in 1901! We strive to treat our guests like friends and family when they are here─and nothing makes you feel more at home than good food. Let Runamuk feed you up with super-nutritious food we've either grown ourselves, or sourced from other local farmers. We offer fantabulous homemade breakfasts and love to share snacks and treats made in our own kitchen from real and fresh ingredients. Local restaurant-options are slim between Sunday and Tuesday evenings. Runamuk offers guests nourishing crock-pot dinners in exchange for a donation to our farm. Just ask!
Located just off Route 16 in North New Portland, Runamuk Acres is less than 4 hours from Boston, MA and makes a great spot to land as you gear up for your next outdoor adventure. At the foot of the Spaulding and Bigelow Mountain Ranges, we're 30 minutes to Sugarloaf, the Appalachian Trail, Bigelow Preserve, the Maine Huts & Trails, and Flagstaff Lake. Runamuk has direct access from the farm to the ITS 84 snowmobile trail. We're also 10 minutes to the historic Wire Bridge in West New Portland, and 10 minutes to Kingfield where opportunities for fine dining can be found.

  • Samantha provided a lovely space for us to stay on our Sugarloaf trip and an even better breakfast! The place is as advertised in the pictures, and Samantha and her pets (1 dog and 3 cats) are all very friendly.

  • Samantha is an awesome host. Her breakfasts from farm to table are delicious. In addition, if you are looking for value, her place is it. I am a repeat customer.

SNOWMOBILERS WELCOME! The Hideaway is located in a remote and sparsely populated rural area. Excellent hunting, boating , mountain biking, skiing and snowmobiling are found nearby. It features a fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms, an all season sun porch with wood stove and. futon, a washer dryer and ample parking. Owners live nearby and make use of a nearby garage.
At this time there is no cable or satellite TV or Internet. There is a TV equipped with DVD player. There is a good Verizon signal for hot spotting and phone use.
Although halfway between Quebec city and Boston the Hideaway is in a distinctly rural area. There is a large working dairy farm nearby and great unbroken maine woods commences just a few miles to the north. Deer, turkeys and dirt roads abound. 9 miles to the south lies Skowhegan, the county seat.
  • Beautiful AirBnb with lots of space! It is a cozy place to stay and is about an hour 10 minute drive to Sugarloaf. I loved the wood stove and comfortable beds!

    Nicole2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice spot for our family stay. I would recommend this rental to others.

    Matt2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We'd go back to John's place in a heartbeat. We hung out at John's in the evening and snowboarded Sugarloaf during the day. I'd highly recommend staying there as it's most-of-the-way to Sugarloaf from Boston. The drive is a little over an hour to the mountain when the roads are snowy. The Hideaway is really a great value; pretty country around there, super peaceful. There's plenty of sleeping space and a good kitchen with coffee. His own paintings are hanging throughout the place which really gives it a personal touch (he's actually quite good!). John made sure to stoke up the wood stove before we got there which was great. At one point we accidentally blew a fuse and John came by right away to help us out. He lives across the street so is super available if you need anything. There's is heat besides the wood stove that works really well, so you don't have to worry about keeping the fire going, though I would highly recommend it!

  • We had a terrific stay at Peter’s cabin while in Maine for a ski weekend at Sugarloaf! Peter was a great host and the space was comfortable and very cozy. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, and it was nice to have the option to cook at the cabin. The drive to Sugarloaf was very easy, making the cabin a perfect place to stay for a ski getaway. Thank you Peter, we hope to be back someday!

Typical 1890s Victorian has character. Modern kitchen & downstairs bath, rest of the house has period details & mix of antiques & newer pieces. Hardwood floors throughout. Comfy beds with plenty of quilts & old-fashioned wool blankets. Old books to peruse or pull out the Scrabble game! Step back into the past - No TV or cable, but there is a flatscreen TV with a good selection of movies. Wifi, too. Ext security cameras. PLEASE NOTE: limited cell phone reception - AT&T & TMobile = NO reception!
This old house is full of character and history. It is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, yet close to "downtown." I can be your tour guide, as time allows.
This house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, yet right on ITS-87. It is one block away from our "downtown" area, and walking distance to several churches.
  • Nice person and nice place

  • Baker House B&B was such a great place to stay! Our room was cozy and Diane is so accommodating with anything you may need. All the amenities needed were there for us in our room, and the shared bathroom space. Every space was super clean. In the morning, Diane had breakfast ready with a lovely table set with OJ, coffee, and our choice of banana and walnut pancakes ( she reached out ahead of time to see what we may want - amazing!). Diane also has pictures and knows all the history of the house, and we just loved all the thoughtful touches of keeping the space true to its original look. We just loved our stay at the Baker House B&B!

    Emily2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Diane’s hospitality is unmatched! She brought a warmth with her care and conversation that is much appreciated in the frigid north country. Her 19th century home had all the modern amenities that we could ask for all the while sticking to its rustic character. We used the Baker House as a home base to ski Sugarloaf mountain and hike the Maine Huts and Trails. We would highly recommend location and Diane as a host.

    Brian2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Diane has a wonderful home. She is a great conversationalist and host. She also makes a great breakfast and is open to menu options in case there are dietary needs.

  • Very nice and very well kept. Nice home and a gracious host. Had a great stay there and would defiantly stay there again.

    Kevin2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful house and a very nice hostess. For nature lovers, the area is breathtaking, especially in the sunny autumn.

    Abdelmalek2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • We were driving throughQuebec City down to the coast of Maine and needed a place to stop and spend the night. While we were at Diane’s, enjoying her company and the company of some of her young students, my husband became ill. She guided us to the nearest hospital and stayed in touch with us during our hours there. I came back from the hospital to spend the night with her and she made sure I was comfortable and the next morning filled me with outstanding pancakes at her dining room table. She went beyond the usual responsibilities of a hostess. And her accommodations were comfortable.

Old Victorian home in residential neighborhood. Room is on street side of house, light traffic. Small room with twin bed, closet, drawer space. Full access to entire house. Walking distance to restaurants, library, historical society, and municipal rec area (with tennis & basketball courts). Ext security cameras. Great place to relax, also centrally located & close to white-water rafting. Out the door access to ITS-87. PLEASE NOTE: NO AT&T or T-Mobile cell coverage in this area, Verizon spotty.
All are welcome! This place has a lot of history, and I love to share what I know with guests. Pictures, and the stories that go with them are among guest favorites.
Paved sidewalks make daily strolls ever so enjoyable. Lots of walkers in this area, so be prepared for friendly conversation.
  • I visited alone at night before going to sugarloaf to snowboard. Diane was a wonderful host with a smiling warm welcome and very thorough in her hospitality. The neighborhood is right off the main road in town and quiet/ safe. Her house has lots of space and is very homey, typical New England style. It is a little cold at night but not bad with blankets. I woke up to the amazing smell of pancakes which were wheat, blueberry and very yummy! Coffee and tea also provided. Great place to stay if skiing at Sugarloaf, not a bad drive between. Helpful and clear house info provided and a whole pamphlet Diane has made with lots of info about what the area has to offer! Wifi is good in the rooms (I was able to stream without a problem). I highly recommend staying with Diane! :)

    Kelsey2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Breakfast was delicious and the bathtub was heavenly and exceeded all expectations, hopes and dreams. I slept like a rock! Very hard to get out of bed in the morning! The kitties were fun and entertaining and Diane’s hospitality and conversation were 2nd to none.

  • Such a sweet and cute old lady. Loves to chat but respectful of your space

    Chris2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • The place was easy to find. The room was clean and comfortable. A real feel of an old-style home makes it even more unique. There's a cute cat to welcome you who is really social. :) Diane is a perfect host and those Pancakes in the morning are just the things you want on a cold morning. Thanks Diane. Would surely stay here again !!

    Monal2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Diane was the best host you could ask for. Helpful and friendly. Respectful of privacy but there to chat about photography and sightseeing when I was free. Delicious pancakes. And her home was absolute lovely. So much attention to detail in the decor!

    Harmony2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We, the whole group really loved the place. The house was really nice and clean with a whole lot of collectibles. Diane was really warm to welcome us in. We did rafting with the Northern Outdoors at the Kennebec River and it’s just 20 mins away from her place. Have a warm stay at The Bakers House. And don’t miss her pan cakes with for the morning breakfast.

    Saravanan (Saro)2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome and made my trip wonderful. Breakfast was very good!!

    Parminder2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed with Diane for 12 weeks and let me tell you, this is a great place to stay. She is a wonderful host. Her house is incredibly clean, she is incredibly awesome to be around. She will happily show you the area if you are interested, will play scrabble with you, and makes wonderful breakfast. I can't recommend her or her home enough. She was always incredibly respectful of space and has a beautiful home to lounge around in or watch the storms on the deck. Thank you for such an amazing summer Diane and I will be staying here whenever I am back in the area.

This small, quaint cabin brings you back to the basics. Not fancy or pretentious, but far more comfy than camping on a cold ground. You'll have what you need, a warm bed, private full bathroom, small fridge, microwave, use of gas grill, campfire pit and all amenities of the sporting camp Pine Grove Lodge.
While here, get outdoors and look for moose and other wildlife, hike to Houston Brook Falls (1/4 mile,) canoe/kayak or use the beach at beautiful Wyman Lake (1 mile,) and relax by your own campfire or visit the communal fire to get to know other guests. Maine Guides are available with services like fishing, fly fishing lessons, canoeing/kayaking, ATVing, private Wyman Lake cruises on a large pontoon boat, and backcountry Jeep 4X4 excursions!
This is a rural area, called Pleasant Ridge Plantation, 4 miles from town, on the edge of complete wilderness but still on pavement. An area rich with logging and sporting camp history, it is a very safe place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery while walking, biking, boating, or even getting into the deep woods on a guided Jeep tour. The town of Bingham has a well-stocked grocery store, Dollar General, 3 gas stations, and a few eatery choices.

The walls are pine, it has wall to wall red indoor / outdoor carpeting. There is a recliner and a sofa bed that sleeps two. There are ceiling lights with fans . It is lake front property.
What makes my space unique is it offers a spectacular view of nature which gives you a sense of serenity, has the all the amenities of modern living in a rustic setting and has the feel of a large living area in a compact living area.
The neighborhood is rustic and very quiet. There are woods with a variety of wildlife such as rabbits, deer, moose, skunks, raccoons, bears, porcupines and fisher cats. For people who like to fish the lake has bass, trout and perch. There are loons, ducks, geese, cranes and herons on and around the lake. If you are lucky you will see the eagles dive for food.
  • We had a wonderful time staying at Meg's! Her place was a convenient location for our trip and it has a beautiful view at sunrise and sunset. We would absolutely recommend staying at Meg's place!

  • Beautiful setting. Small cottage that offers a good night sleep. It is as described. If traveling with elder, there are no direct steps to backside where the apartment is. I slipped going down the uneven ground. If traveling with a baseball fan, the tv received a very weak signal and couldn’t watch it. Luckily the internet was strong enough for her to logon with her ipad. If you have ATT, you will have no service at the property. Overall though, a 5 star stay.

  • Lovely private spot. Comfy beds, spacious living room, quiet location, gorgeous view. Coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, dishes, utensils, refrigerator, grill, etc. Folks who stay need to realize northern Maine has spotty cell service. But the WiFi worked quite well. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Guest suite with private bath in classic Maine farmhouse. Spacious loft room with your own fireplace to take off the chill. Great for weekend skiers or adventure enthusiasts looking for a home base for exploring Western Maine. In the summer months our property is a working farm and you are welcome to explore all that we have going on here! You have to walk through a shared kitchen and dining room to reach your suite.
This room is on the second floor of an older updated farmhouse. Expect classic features like low ceilings and narrow stairwells but charming details such as porcelain bathroom features and an original slate sink in our kitchen. The bathroom is private for your use during your stay and is located on the 1st floor, right at the bottom of the stairs leading to the loft. The room also includes a television. Guests are welcome to bring their own gaming or streaming devices or login to their own account on our guest Roku.
We are one mile from downtown Farmington, a quaint town in Western Maine home to many independant shops, artisan galleries, and a local college. We have a great local ski slope, Titcomb Mountain, which is a great community ski area and perfect for learing to ski. About 40 minutes North is Sugarloaf ski resort as well as lots of hiking and biking trails.
  • Nice, quiet farmhouse. The room is very spacious and comfortable. Nice place to get away.

  • Stayed at Erica’s place for a few nights and had a very pleasant stay. Plenty of privacy as the house is basically split into two parts. I used the house as a base for skiing Sunday River/Sugarloaf and for some snowmobiling. The TV was nice to have to sit back and enjoy a movie at the end of a long day. Kitchen and dining room always available for coffee/tea and for cooking your own food if needed. Erica was extremely hospitable and nice to talk to. Can’t beat the friendly cat as well, who is always looking for a warm body to cuddle with. Great spot!

  • Super great stay perfectly located around the mountains and farming spots with a quaint down town. Their home was so adorable. Entire loft to yourself. They go by a pick up after yourself policy that I wish I knew before hand. Aside from that it was peaceful and beautiful and their amenities were fabulous. Amazing book collection and games

    Miranda2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place! Great hosts! Really good-hearted people :) Erica and Dave went out of their way to help me- even coming to my friend’s rescue to tow him out of a snow bank when he was stuck!

  • Thanks for a great place to stay and your thoughtfulness and kindness! We had a really nice time skiing at Titcomb Mountain AND appreciate you shoveling the 6-7 inches of snow powdah to our truck! Kevin, Rena and Addison

  • This place is a hidden gem, can't wait to come back.

  • Very clean and cozy. Quiet and private. Lots of wildlife and very close to snowmobile trail for riding or just walking. Lori is super accommodating!

    Kate2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to escape! Way far out in the woods, very quiet, and plenty of wildlife. Lori was a great host and responded very quickly. Place was well decorated to give it a cabin in the woods vibe. We were sort of snowed in one of the mornings and the neighbor had come by and plowed the snow and made sure we were able to get out. Very friendly. Would totally recommend this place to anyone trying to escape to a quiet place in the woods.

    Paul2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lori was great, she responded very promptly even though she was on vacation herself. She has the place set up great and very cozy. We loved this place! We stayed here while enjoying some time at Sugarloaf. It’s about 40 minutes to get there, not bad considering we usually drive 3 hours to Sunday River. The views you get just driving around are beautiful! And there was so many deer behind the chalet, we (dogs included) loved watching them. This place was very clean and a little bigger than expected. We have two larger dogs and they were a little nervous of the steep stairs to go to bed at night but they figured it out. There is board games and movies for a cold day or mellow night. We definitely want to rent snowmobiles up there next time, there are tons of trails super close by. Didn’t do to much exploring on foot, it “felt like” -22 one day so a little too cold for us/dogs. But the chalet kept us warm! Everything was plowed so we never had any trouble with that and didn’t need 4wheel drive at all. Had a great time, and would definitely stay here again! It was so quiet and peaceful! Would absolutely recommend!

  • The cabin itself was really nice and exactly what I was looking for when checking Maine off my bucketlist. The cabin is a nice A-frame style place that has a real cabin feel. The wood-burner stove offered intense heat to help dry off our gear before the next day of riding. There is also a heating unit in the cabin that will provide enough heat to make you sweat (we did that accidentally). The location offers nice touches of the country/backwoods to make you feel at home. After staying in the place, I think you could easily and comfortably fit 5 adult males in the cabin and have room to spare. Though, there is only 1 full bathroom in the cabin so visitors should be mindful of that. The road was easy to find and easy to get up, even in the snow. We did endure some ice, rain, snow and everything else during our stay, so conditions ended up questionable at times. The main road you take to get up to the road the cabin is on is in rough shape, so beware of the potholes. We drove to Sugarloaf's base lodge 3 days in a row and all of which took 40+ minutes. I am not sure if a road was closed or what, but 20-25 minutes was about the time to get into town (Kingsfield) for gas or groceries. Though wifi was not in the cabin, there was a good Verizon signal that didn't leave off totally off-grid. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone needing a backwoods getaway or anyone doing riding at Sugarloaf.

  • The house was clean, bigger than we expected, and situated in a nice quiet area. Views were great, the house was clean and fairly easily accessible and was perfect for our ski weekend. Would definitely consider staying again!

Our yurt features a brand new Tuft&Needle mattress for snoozing through the breezy Maine afternoons. Just outside the yurt you’ll find a shady outdoor porch swing and scenic overlook. Or, have a game night and take advantage of our board game nook and cornhole set.

  • Amazing yurt and airbnb overall! The yurt was cool, stylish and very cozy. Skylight was lovely and clean...great for stargazing. Bed was very comfortable. Electric heater worked great! The location is perfect for outdoor activities and lots to choose from. Patty and Greg were full of information and suggestions on things to do in the area. Wonderful hosts and a delicious breakfast of whatever you desired with a nice view of the mountain right in the kitchen window. We enjoyed getting to know them and hiking in the area. We recommend staying there and will be back again for sure.

  • This was a spectacular hidden little gem. Words and pictures, don't even begin to say or show just how wonderful it was there. My husband and I were beyond happy with our stay there. It was such a wonderful surprise to get the beautiful flowers for our anniversary. We loved the sunrises on both days that we were there and the beauty of nature and it's sounds. There was still some wonderful foliage to see. We definitely want to go back again and hopefully bring another couple with us. And we definitely highly recommend this place to any and everyone, especially if you are looking for a wonderful place for a getaway.

  • Access to lake and the view is awesome. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace. Stay was made comfortable with the heater.

  • Lovely home by the water! Michael and Karen are outstanding hosts! They are very thoughtful - my husband and I booked for the weekend for a little getaway and they left us a bottle of Prosecco, which we appreciated. In addition, since the water is not potable, they had left us a gallon of fresh water. The cabin itself is beautiful, very well decorated and cozy. Perfect for relaxing and taking time away from the noise of everyday city life. My husband and I love birds, and it was wonderful to find a pair of binoculars since we forgot ours at home. We got to see a couple of loons and a bald eagle! We had a wonderful time and strongly recommend Michael and Karen’s cabin!

  • We enjoyed a great stay in a lovely cabin. The cabin had nice furnishings and finishing touches. It was a beautiful place to stay that was close to our outings for the weekend including tubing and hiking. We loved that it was private, clean, affordable and that Cheree provided great communication while allowing us to enjoy our vacation. We hope to have the opportunity to return.

Welcome to Maine and lake life! This cozy little cabin is a stones throw away from the waters edge. Enjoy the deck and dock as you watch the loons, bald eagles and other local wildlife. Our guests have access to our kayaks and canoe if you want to get off the shore and out into the water. The pond is great for swimming and perfect for small children. Take a little time for yourself and enjoy the peace and serenity of the pond. Check out our larger main Lodge https://abnb.me/WG8ppGX6vY
About an hour and a half from Portland and Acadia National Park, this tiny cabin puts you close enough to it all at an extremely reasonable price point! Where else can you get enough room to sleep 4-6 people (6 if you have kids) people that is lake front with access to kayaks, canoe, BBQ and a fire pit at this price?!? Enjoy the serenity of the waters edge where you will hear the welcoming call of your neighbors- the loons and Bald Eagles.
Easy access to nearby Pittsfield, Skowhegan or Newport for shopping and dining. Access to Interstate 95 is just minutes away.
  • I would give 10 stars. Jamie and Sam, the cozy cabin and it’s location far exceeded my expectations. Sam and Jamie are very friendly, helpful and generous (!!!), yet respected privacy and space. I couldn’t recommend this sweet, rustic cabin and hosts more.

    Sarah2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing little cabin with everything and more!!! Beautiful views of the lake peaceful atmosphere and a warm cabin for those chili October nights. Sam was absolutely great a text away but we got all the privacy we could ask for even though the main house is a few steps away. The cabin was spotless, comfy and plenty of room. We were able to cook our dinner in the BBQ and our breakfast in the little oven. A good size refrigerator in the cabin made it a lot easier then using a cooler. I was very hesitant of the outside shower for those chili October nights but it was the best thing ever!!! We did not use the kayaks but Sam made sure we knew there were available. We will definitely return during the summer so we can make a better use of the lake. Thank you for having us.

    Anastasia2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Sam’s place. We spent most of our trip at Acadia, but the cabin is nearby other nature sights, plus there were kayaks we could have used. The heater kept us warm when we were worried we might get cold. Sam and Jamie were kind and communicative and we couldn’t have asked for more responsive and attentive hosts! This cabin felt spacious despite the fact that we had four people there, and it’s a great value. We would certainly return.

    Ashley2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Sam's place was exactly as described but even more comfortable and enjoyable than I expected!

    Elizabeth2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay. Please make sure you understand how to use the compostable toilet- we didn’t have that 100% aright. Otherwise, lovely place!

  • Really great stay , very private, and a very cute cabin with a beautiful view !

    Kidder2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had a lovely time. Only regret was that we were so busy with our plans, we didn’t plan out more time to actually hang out at the cabin and go canoeing. Next time!

    Sophia2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Sam was extremely responsive to all of my questions. The directions were very clear and we had no problem finding the cabin. It was very rustic and quaint- the perfect place to spend some time away from life's craziness and unwind!

  • Great location, just a few minutes outside of downtown! If you're in the area for a few days this apartment is much more spacious and private than a motel, perfect for parents visiting their kids at UMF! Bob & Kathy responded quickly to any inquiries we had, very accommodating!

  • Much more than I expected. Bright and comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches.

  • Very nice, clean place. Enjoyed how close it is to town, and the food and coffee for breakfast was a nice touch. We recommend staying here.

  • This second floor apartment with private entrance has plenty of space. A large living room, kitchen area with microwave, mini fridge and toaster oven, full bath with shower, and bedroom. Everything was in good shape, and the living room has comfortable seating, a good TV - it felt home-y and cozy with the wintry country scene out the windows. Kathy greeted us warmly. There is a garage space (no garage door) for a guest to park in - a nice amenity during the snowy / icy winter. We would be happy to stay again!

This beautiful home is only 15 minutes from I95. The location has access to recreational trails for snowshoeing, ATVs and snowmobiles. The large driveway allows you to leave your trailers while you access the trails from across the street. In July, the town hosts the best fireworks display in the state over the lake as part of their annual summer festival. The lake also has a great variety of fresh water fish. This is a great quiet location for a nice relaxing vacation.
There is a gas station less than 3 miles away as well as an amazing country convenience store with amazing food and all of your every day needs with friendly and helpful staff.

  • The host is incredibly nice, respectful and can cook a mean breakfast. 10/10 definitely coming back

    Elijah2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Samantha’s farm (Runamuck Acres) is the perfect get away. Particularly for people on a budget! It has everything you need and nothing you don’t. The meals she provides are AMAZING. Her pets are the friendliest and they will keep you company if you let them. The drive to sugarloaf was only 34 minutes and you pass a grocery store, a restaurant and a pizza place on the way so you can bring dinner home to cook, eat or eat out. Whichever you feel! This setting truly makes you feel like you are supporting the local economy as well as someone’s family and small business. I highly recommend.

    Hallie2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Very private and comfortable room, (and bed!) in a cozy neighborhood. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Louise, as I checked in late and left early, but her home exceeded my expectations. She made everything comfortable and easy.

  • Loses b&b was beautiful as was her warm personality and the caring touches she provided. We had a wet days travel on motorbike thru Maine and so appreciated her warm welcome and accommodation of our needs. We were quite cold and tired when we arrived but soon felt alot warmer and brighter after meeting Louise. Her home was a sweet oasis after a long trip. The bathroom was gorgeous as was the comfy bedroom. I loved the pillows and slept very well. The hot chocolate and heater were greatly appreciated upon welcome. Highly recommend. Thank you for everythin!

Great place to relax, but also fantastic hub for enthusiasts of all seasons! Ext security cameras. Out the door access to ITS-87, short drive to water-water rafting outfits, and Appalachian Trail. Please note that there is NO cell coverage for AT&T or T-Mobile users, and limited coverage for Verizon users.

She encouraged us to feel free to use all of the house. We thought the bed was comfortable, and enjoyed the deep bathtub. The bath is shared but we were the only guests . • Stayed for a snowmobile weekend, very nice place. The hosts were great .

    John2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • My fiancé and I stayed the weekend to tour the area for potential wedding spots. We were accompanied by our 4-month-old daughter and we had such a great time. We were there just before peak foliage and the view of the lake against the turning leaves was absolutely gorgeous. Both the cottage and the property were clean, peaceful and everything was just perfect. Cyndee and Pete were some of the nicest, most accommodating hosts I've stayed with. Highly recommended!

    Amy2019-09-29T00:00:00Z

    Ashley2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful little spot, right on the water, you couldn't ask for much better access to the lake. The right balance of privacy, but with friendly hosts to sit and talk about the day with as the sun goes down. Lovely hosts, lovely place.

    Tom2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our very cozy chalet and the beautiful view of Wyman Lake. Cyndee and Pete are great hosts and we enjoyed them.

    Rebecca2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • We really loved our time at Cyndee's cabin. Cyndee and her husband Pete were so friendly, hospitable, and made sure we had a great time. The cabin was roomy, well-stocked, and comfortable. The property was beautiful with great outdoor fireplaces, a big dock, and a special point overlooking the lake where we had coffee every morning. We used Cyndee's one kayak and brought a kayak and spent every day paddling the 13 mile lake. We saw eagles and loons on the lake and searched for moose sightings. There are amazing hikes nearby and numerous waterfalls. We have never stayed quite this far north in Maine and we loved how different and quiet it is compared to central Maine. I would highly recommend staying in one of the two cabins.

    Julie2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful place with a great setting and even better hosts! Pete and Cyndee even brought us out for a boat cruise our first day, recommended great places to go, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great trip! Highly recommended

Riverside condo minutes to Sugarloaf! One-bedroom condo just a few miles from Sugarloaf and the Outdoor Center. Just steps from trails for hiking, mountain biking, and skiing. Look out over the river while you grill on the back patio and enjoy a Maine beer! Also next to a popular restaurant and bar. One note- the cell reception in Carrabassett Valley is not good. That makes it a great place to get away from it all, but not a good place if you need to make important phone calls!!
  • We were headed up north to enjoy a weekend of skiing at Sugarloaf. The location was great and just 10 minutes away. Easy access to the mountain just turning right out of the driveway and left onto the access road. Aubreys place was easy to access, clean and comfortable. She even left a surprise for us when we got there. This place was perfect for us to ski all day, come back take a quick nap and be ready for dinner and some drinks after. Aubrey directed us to some local establishments that were pleasant and had amazing food. We really liked The Rack BBQ.

    Albert2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • It was very comfortable, everything I needed and easy proximity to the mountain.

  • The condo is in a great spot to access Sugarloaf and the surrounding restaurants and activities. It was very clean, cozy, and perfect to come back to after long days of skiing. Audrey was a very thoughtful host, as well. We had a really lovely weekend in Carrabassett Valley

    Sarah2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Audrey's place was exactly as described. Really great and easy location for skiing at Sugarloaf and enjoying the Xcountry and hiking Trails. A real bonus to be next to the great restaurant Tufulios. The condo is simply and nicely furnished and sparkling clean. It was quiet and cozy and warm and plenty of space for two people. Check-in and check-out are super easy, and Audrey responded almost instantly whenever I had a question. Great value. We'll come again.

    Henrietta2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Audrey was quick to respond to all of my texts and messages. She had thoughtful touches that made us feel welcome. The location of her apt is perfect for all year around. We stayed here in the winter and it was about 15 mins away from sugarloaf skiing. We also got our skis tuned up at Happy Tunes which is across the parking lot. I suggest bringing food since Audrey has a full kitchen with a large fridge. She also has an awesome grill. The set up was cozy and warm. I highly recommend her place and having Audrey as a host.
