Places to stay in Rush City
Sunsets in Hot Tub, Cuddling to a Movie, Comfy Bed for Romance, Fishing. Come make yourself at home in our cabin on West Rush Lake, just 1 hour north of the Twin Cities. Get a break from the busy schedule, the to do lists and enjoy some much needed relaxation in peace and quite. Enjoy a huge screened in porch with the hot tub. Bring your pups and your kids to make more memories away from home. We would be honored to provide a get away for you to look forward to every year.
About us: HI! My name is Bree and my husband's name is Shaun. We are in our mid 30's, we have 2 kids, Mariah-7 and Emerik-5. We live in Wyoming MN which is 45 min from the cabin. Its been a life long dream to own a cabin and blessed to be able to have one. Because we have young kids, we do not get up there every weekend in the summer and not at all in the winter. We would love to be able to provide a getaway for a family or couple to enjoy fishing, hot tubing, campfires, sunsets, swimming at our cabin when we cannot. I hope you enjoy and come back again. :)
Cabin is located at the end of a short street on a dead end road. Very quiet and peaceful.
  • Great Location, Great Amenities and a quick and easy check in process. Would highly recommend to anybody looking to enjoy a great time on a beautiful lake.

  • Breanna's place is a cozy house right on the edge of a small lake with lots of peace and quiet. Plenty of beds as well as futons and couches for sleeping arrangements. All of the beds my guests used were very comfortable. Kitchen is great with a dishwasher that works well and a nice stove/oven. Hot tub was great of course, just note that the lid is heavy to open. The neighbors are within view and there are no significant trees between, but they were quiet. The house also has lots of large windows and a few sliding glass doors to let in natural light, if that is important to you.

  • A great cabin in Rush City MN- comfortable, cozy with all the amenities! Breanna is a great host and kept in communication the entire stay :)

  • If you are looking for a fabulous lake place close to the cities this is it!!

    Molly2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was a perfect distance from the cities and just remote enough for what we needed. There was plenty of space for activities, my dog loved the fenced in yard, and the hot tub was an added bonus!

  • Dorothy's Cabin is a perfect get-a-way from the Twin Cities. The kitchen is well-outfitted. It's a kitchen one can really cook in - plenty of pots and pans and such. We decided not to bring our own games and had a great time playing Quirkle. There are many other games in the cabinet, especially for families with children. The couch is so comfortable and cozy and looks right out onto the back yard and then lake. We delighted in watching the squirrels running along the maze of branches, and saw several different kinds of woodpeckers. (We left our games at home, but made sure to bring our binoculars!) A night hike on the frozen lake left us mesmerized by the night sky. There were plenty of towels both for showering and drying off after soaking in the hot tub. The hot tub cover is heavy, and at first we weren't sure we were up to the challenge of getting it safely off and back on. Once we got the hang of it, though, while heavy, it was totally possible. Our dogs loved their time watching "squirrel tv" out the windows, snuggling up on the couch, and playing in the living room. We had a wonderful time, made some great memories, and look forward to coming back.

  • Super awesome place to get away to and Breanna is a great host! Will recommend 😊

    Alexa2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • We drove up to Breanna’s cabin for a girls getaway weekend. It was perfect. The hot tub was relaxing and the cabin had everything we needed. Breanna even worked secretly with one of the girls in our group to set up a surprise for us on our arrival. It was a perfect weekend. We will definitely rent again!

We offer a beautifully decorated in-law suite that sits on 18 acres and overlooks a small, private lake. On warm nights we have two hammocks and an area to sit by the water. On cool nights you can enjoy a bonfire and during the winter months you can snuggle up by the fireplace and binge watch Netflix. A short drive will bring miles of walking or biking trail, Taylor's Falls, Wild Mountain, & restaurants. We offer the best of both worlds; quiet country living within 50 minutes of downtown.
Enjoy the coziness of our beautifully decorated in-law suite. The 900 sq ft in-law suite is situated on 18 acres. The space will accommodate up to four adults and offers a full kitchen, full bath, separate bedroom, fully furnished living room with queen-size sleeper sofa, and a private entrance, all on one level. The space is furnished with a queen size bed, queen sleeper sofa, and a 55" Smart TV, that comes with Dish Network, Netflix, and Hulu. Free WiFi is available too. The kitchen is supplied with a coffee maker, pots/pans, plates, glasses, silverware, basic spices etc. For those staying four or more days we have a washer & dryer on your level. During the warmer months you can sit by the lake and enjoy the views, sit on the private patio, lay in a hammock (we have two) or enjoy the massive wood burning fire-pit. During the cooler months: enjoy a bon-fire, bring your snowmobile and ride the trails, or snuggle up and binge-watch your favorite Netflix or Hulu shows with the fireplace on! NOTE: We live upstairs and we are empty-nesters so we're pretty quiet. The backyard is shared and we have two hypoallergenic dogs (Maxx) and (Finley). We live in a quiet neighborhood so if you want a place to party, this isn't the place for you. This is a low-key, sit by the bonfire, lay in the hammock, watch a movie type of place.
We want to continue hosting guests so please be respectful of our neighbors. If you meet our neighbors and they ask, tell them you're in town for a visit and staying with David and Shelli. We live at the end of a private cul-de-sac on a beautiful little lake. We feel like we have the best 18 acres in North Branch!
  • Shelli & David's place was perfect for a weekend away! The size of the space was very comfortable for my husband and I. We really enjoyed the fireplace and the decor that made everything super cozy! Their home also has a beautiful view of a private lake...this would be a great spot to enjoy some time outdoors in the warmer months. The location was conveniently very close to local grocery stores and restaurants, as described. Thank you, Shelli & David, for sharing your home with us!

    Rachel2020-03-15T00:00:00Z

This is a beautiful river front vacation home about 70 minutes from the heart of the Twin Cities, that is decorated and designed with relaxation in mind. You can enjoyed the beautiful view of the river while you relax over a hot morning coffee, or as you sink into the overstuffed furniture with popcorn and a hot chocolate in the afternoon. All rentals come with a complimentary muffins for breakfast, coffee, tea and hot chocolate to enhance your experience.
This little country retreat is located on a country dirt road with little to no neighbors which makes it very quiet and private. The little town of Pine City is only about 4 miles away and the community is friendly and welcoming. Chubby's Grill boasts one of the best Bloody Mary's around which serves like a meal and tastes great. We are surrounded on one side by the river and behind us is all wooded county property. It's the great getaway experience that you will love.
It's a safe, quiet and friendly neighborhood, where most people enjoy the outdoors and lazy days floating on inner tubes or kayaks down the river. The neighbors in town and on Copper Canyon road are friendly and helpful and happy to fill you in pool n all that Pine City has to offer
  • Sandra's place is great, everything was clean and felt like home!

  • Sandy’s cabin was the perfect winter getaway. It was great for us and our pup, and was very roomy and stylish. The views of the river cannot be beat, I can only imagine how beautiful it is in summer! Sandy was very accommodating and responsive.

  • Clean, secluded, little cabin with lots of windows and light. Perfect for a relaxing getaway, at any time of year! The place was very clean, and had everything we needed to make our own meals. Just about 10 minutes out of Pine City, where you can buy most anything you need.

    Louis2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin SO CUTE and inviting!!!! Not only is it decorated cute, but it's really nice too! Jim & Sandy did a really nice job with the style of it. LOVE that floor & the kitchen is beautiful as well. And that view! <3 <3 It was so wonderful that it felt like home/our own cabin because it was so cozy. They are so generous with everything and all their things and their hospitality is beyond words. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice little private getaway without having to drive that far. And it's so affordable! They have done a great job with this little piece of paradise. So pet friendly. Along with the beautiful views and super sweet touches, you will find board games, household items, the hot tub, comfy bed and furniture, everything, except 1 closet of personal items, is there awaiting your use. There is everything you could need to cook, do laundry, relax, enjoy the outdoors, and more. It was hard to leave to return home! Thank you again! XOXO

  • Beautiful place to stay, we really enjoyed the hot tub and the amazing view of the river. Great location away from everyone but close enough to town to eat or get anything you might need. We really enjoyed the public beach in Pine city and how close we were to State parks.

    Katie2019-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay in Sandra's bungalow. It was homey and very comfortable. I really liked the screened porch. Perfect place to play board and card games. Sandra also had a nice selection of games. The kitchen was stocked with some essential items for cooking, which I appreciated. I would definitely stay there again.

Lindisfarne is located 75 miles north of the Twin Cities in East Central Minnesota on 80 acres. The Tower is just one of 3 Cabins we have here on the grounds. Enjoy a walk through the woods on one of our trails, relax in the Chapel or enjoying a fire in our fire ring. Lindisfarne is an ideal location to just get out of town for a couple days.
While staying in the Tower which is named for the corner tower overlooking ur fields. The open spaces are yours to enjoy as you walk amongst our 100 year old White Pines.
We are surrounded by lakes and rivers, the Grand Casino in Hinckley and some historical places in the area. Here are many golf courses and excellent fishing. Excellent restaurants if you love to go out to eat.
  • Great place. Nice, quiet, cozy and clean. The bell tower is especially charming.

    John2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lindisfarne is a wonderful country retreat spot. We enjoyed the peaceful setting and the comfortable space. The design of the cabin is thoughtful, with the surrounding nature as the focus. The big picture window highlighted the night sky, and we enjoyed beautiful views of the moon and shooting stars. The fireplace and the heated floors made for a very comfortable and cozy winter getaway. Thank you for a lovely stay!

*Completely remodeled in 2018, this cabin has 130 feet of direct frontage on the Snake River. Gorgeous wooded acreage gives privacy and the up north feeling, yet is less than 1 hour from Minneapolis, and 10 minutes from historic Pine City, a great place to shop and grab a bite to eat. Use our kayaks or tubes to float down to the St. Croix River, or hang a fishing line out and see what happens!
Located just feet from the Snake River, this completely remodeled modern cabin has breathtaking views and space to spread out. Level shoreline and a place to tie up your canoes or kayaks make this a relaxing retreat. Large deck with a grill and a firepit overlooking the river make hanging out fun and easy.
A quiet gravel road feels like the middle of nowhere, yet town is only 10 minutes away.
  • Had a wonderful time over the weekend at Tracy’s! Peaceful and quiet retreat from from the cities.

    Hailey2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot to get away with your pooch — very comfortable, clean, and perfectly nestled in the great outdoors. Nice creature comforts but also very simple. Tracy is very straightforward and easy to work with. Highly recommend!

  • Amazing cabin, So peaceful and relaxing, very homelike feeling. With nature all around. It was clean and We will definitely visit again!

    Tracy2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Easy check in, provided movies, the fireplace made it very cozy during the cold winter months, provided shampoo and conditioner was a bonus because I forgot mine! Comfy bed too! The WiFi was a little slow so don’t expect it to be just like at home but we barely used it anyways. It was a wonderful and romantic weekend getaway. 5/5 stars! Cant wait to come back for the summer to see the river unthawed and have a fire!

    Makenzie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin sits very close to the river and large windows provide a great view from any place in the living area and main bedroom. The fire pit sits at the river's edge and twice we saw a fox trotting downriver while enjoying an evening fire. The area was very quiet and peaceful in winter, with many of the cabins not being occupied during the winter season. The road and driveway were both well maintained with the snow cleared for easy driving. We would definitely stay again!

    Mark2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful slice of heaven!!! The views were spectacular, the cabin was amazing and comfy. All the Comforts of home but in a cozy cabin in the woods. Totally recommend staying here! The price was great and Tracy is a great host!!!

    Scott2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is a literal gem - close to the twin cities, on a beautiful river, next to so many fun things to do! We came for the second time, again in the winter. We cross country skiied in Cambridge on 2 local trails that were spectacular and also skiid at Wild River State Park which was also incredible! We love the cabin, watching the river is captivating, the fireplace is wonderful , floor to ceiling windows are amazing!

    Barb2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is perfection. It’s supplied with anything you could need and it’s location is absolutely breathtaking! Tracy was very quick to respond to questions. Couldn’t ask for anything better. If you don’t find tranquility here, you won’t find it anywhere! Can’t wait to go back!

Remote, tranquil, quiet and exceedingly private getaway right on the banks of a protected river, only 1.5 hours from the Twin Cities! Even the beautiful drive there is relaxing. Enter a world of peace and calm deep in the woods. Make delicious meals in a well stocked high-end modern kitchen, play in the river, relax in the sauna or enjoy a bonfire. This is not your typical cabin but a spiritual eco-oasis with a unique eclectic blend of modern, rustic, Native American and Japanese aesthetic.
UPDATE: We are paying extra attention to cleaning and sanitizing this space. Our housekeeper Joann takes great pride in making sure every surface is sanitized for your safety. I have also reduced the price to help those in need of a place to self-quarantine. This is the perfect getaway, remote yet accessible, to get out of harms way and stay safe for a few relaxing days! Modern yet rustic, but not at all primitive, the cabin was built not only for maximum energy-efficiency, but with much care in providing a safe, non-toxic, all-natural environment. Comfortable sleeping spaces are provided with several options including a small private bedroom, a large futon in the living room under the skylights by the wood stove, or a small futon on the screen porch by the banks of the river. An easy scenic drive from the Twin Cities and its extremely tranquil and private setting, this is the perfect location for personal retreats for artists, writers, yoga practitioners, people in the healing arts or anyone in need of personal, spiritual or artistic creative rejuvenation. This is ideally suited to singles and couples looking a quiet getaway or personal retreat. Perfect for a romantic getaway! The long winding driveway leads to secluded, heavily wooded grounds that have many Japanese garden touches but are kept in a mostly natural state. Facilities include a large well-stocked modern kitchen with 6 burner professional stove, full bathroom with hot and cold running water and claw-foot tub (there is enough hot water for a shower but not enough to fill the tub unless heated supplementally on gas stove), gas heat, electricity, phone, wireless high-speed internet, modern wood-burning stove, 7 skylights, wood-fired sauna, screen porch on the river bank, an attached wooden deck with gas grill along the river, a gazebo (great for yoga), hammock (great for reading/napping), a large fire-pit with lots of wood provided, photo library and a high-resolution audio system with a great CD collection and wireless music streaming capabilities. This forest oasis alongside a protected trout stream is surrounded by hundreds of heavily wooded acres. Enjoy the rarity of total privacy- no one else is within sight or sound. The Trade River is very clean with a nice shallow, sand bottom is perfect for swimming, wading or frolicking. Or just sunbathe on the dock, clothing optional! • All electricity is produced by solar farms and bought from our local electric co-op. • All cleaning supplies are natural, non-toxic, chemical and dye free. • All new linens and towels are organic cotton (some old ones still in use while we phase in) It is built to accommodate more than 2 people but I like to keep it available for solo retreats and couples rather than larger groups. There is also a separate hand-built log cabin on the premises. The log cabin will not be occupied during your stay but can be rented additionally at https://airbnb.com/h/authenticlogcabin. To maintain a retreat-like atmosphere we only allow one or two guests at a time. Also, due to past guest abuse, we no longer allow pets. If you are traveling with pets or have more than two guests please check out my other nearby Airbnb cabin: the Wood River Retreat https://airbnb.com/h/woodriverretreat "Retreat to move forward" -Pico Iyer
Located far off the road at the end of a long winding driveway. While lake cabins can be like being in a goldfish bowl with no privacy; we have total seclusion on the river with no neighbors within sight or sound. We are surrounded by hundreds of acres of forest filled with many deer, fox, owl, wild turkeys, coyotes, otters, beaver, the occasional bear and much other wildlife.
  • What a beautiful place to relax and grow! Waking up to rain on the skylights, deer drinking from the river, or wild turkeys walking across the lawn, each morning brought a new connection to nature. Truly a fantastic experience!

    Amanda2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • It’s hard to even know where to begin, since this was one of my favorite Airbnb stays to date! Doug’s cabin is filled with thoughtful touches that helped us have a very relaxing, restful weekend. We loved cooking meals in the well-stocked kitchen, listening to music on the super high quality sound system, and gazing out at the river while lounging on the cozy futon. The sauna and wood stove are a nice addition. Everything is so well-curated that it feels like home. Thanks, Doug!

    Lauren2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We've been visiting this cabin during the first week of March for 3 years now. Being less than a 1.5 hour drive from the Twin Cities, it's accessible in the winter no matter what the weather has in store. The space feels so cozy and clearly reflects host Doug's artistic and soulful aesthetic. The open floor plan has an oversized professional kitchen / dining room which opens up into a relaxing sitting area. This space has a wood burning stove, stereo and sweeping views of the river, the forest and the sky. This is a rustic retreat. You are going to be conscious of conserving water because of the noisy water pump and various notes reminding you of this endeavor. However, this is all part of the charm of the space. If you consider on-site compost, a wood burning sauna and calming spaces to meditate in as amenities (as we do), you're going to find a vacation spot that you'll want to return to indefinitely.

    Molly2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and rare quiet, truly quiet, setting.

    Laura2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful setting in the woods on the serpentining Trade River. Cozy and full of spirit. We would love to stay again.

  • This was a wonderful get away from the business of life. Such a wonderful space to become one with nature and reconnect with ones self or a partner. The cabin was so unique with art, music and nature brought into to the space to help make one feel grounded & peaceful. I loved the extra’s like the yoga mats!! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for a wonderful get away. Thank you.

    Kellie2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • In a word. Perfect! Clean. Quiet. Beautiful. Spacious. Calming and relaxing. We took advantage of the beautiful kitchen. The wood burning stove. The sauna. The stereo system. Just a perfect getaway to relax. Unwind. Unplug. And get engaged. Literally. And figuratively. Thanks Doug. This was a wonderful experience.

  • Dennis was thoughtful. Checked in on us to see if we needed anything and how we were doing. Responses time was quick and definitely will be going again.

  • It is an older cabin, but had a very cozy, warm and relaxing atmosphere. We had plenty of room, the deck was spacious and closeness of the lake for fishing was exactly what we were looking for.

Extremely private wooded getaway nestled deep in the woods overlooking the Wood River, about an hours drive from the Twin Cities & 1.5 miles from the St Croix River. With many modern touches, it's still very much a cabin. Relax outside on the wood deck on top of the ravine or in the large screen porch. Get cozy by the wood-stove or by the fire-pit. Enjoy total seclusion or visit the many local restaurants & outdoor spots with great hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, birding, and skiing nearby.
UPDATE: We are paying extra attention to cleaning and sanitizing this space. Our housekeeper Joann takes great pride in making sure every surface is sanitized for your safety. We have also reduced the price to help those in need of a place to self-quarantine. This is the perfect getaway, remote yet accessible, to get out of harms way and stay safe for a few relaxing days! A long winding driveway leads to a wonderfully secluded hidden get-away in 16.5 acres of woods. This modern, two bedroom cabin has a clean and relaxing feel and a quiet sense of peacefulness coming from the surrounding woods and sound of the Wood River. It has a fully equipped kitchen and full bath, an open dining and living room with a wood burning stove, a large 4K UHD TV including Netflix and an eclectic collection of DVDs. You'll enjoy a high quality stereo system with an iPhone input and a wide assortment of CDs. The cabin can be a great place to get some work done too, with high-speed wireless throughout and brand new central AC and gas heat system. The large master bedroom has a luxurious queen bed prepared with organic linens, an adjustable ceiling fan, storage for personal items and clothing, and an HDTV with DVD player. The second bedroom includes 2 comfortable beds, (a twin and full) made with organic linens, an adjustable ceiling fan, and storage for personal items and clothing. The large screen porch has a breakfast table and quiet lounge area perfect for watching the sun come up. There's also a gas grill conveniently located just off the kitchen and under cover making it easy to use in all kinds of weather. The outdoor wooden deck has comfy Adirondack chairs, a teak dining table with chairs and a beaurtiful view of the steep ravine down to the pristine Wood River. There is ample parking, enough for severals cars and even trailers. New forced-air gas heat and central air-conditioning throughout provides year round comfort no matter what the temperature outside. You can also fire up the indoor wood stove for the warmth and romance of a cozy fire! “Sometimes you just gotta open the door, get out, embrace the cold and take note of your surroundings.” - Mary Oliver
While being on a lake can be like being in a goldfish bowl with no privacy, our river setting has total privacy and has no other homes within sight. The cabin sits atop a beautiful ravine along the Wood River. There is a nice wide path along the top of the ravine that leads to a steep rope-lined incline down to the river, get for the adventurous to explore! The cabin is approximately 1.5 miles from the St Croix River, a Nationally designated Wild & Scenic River. Canoe and kayak rental services are available only one mile away on Hwy 70. The nearby area includes many excellent hiking, biking, and ski trails accessible to all ages. Brandt Pines is a favorite location and is just a couple miles north. Grocery stores and restaurants in Grantsburg are just a mile or two east. Crex Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary draws people from all over the country for spectacular bird watching and is just on the other side of Grantsburg. However, just staying home at the cabin around a coxy fire and chilling out or adventuring down the ravine to the river is also a great option.

  • The cabin was the perfect place for my sisters and I to spend a quiet weekend. There was Ample room for the 4 of us, with very nice amenities. The beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was very clean! Thank you for hosting such a lovely cabin on beautiful land. Sitting by the river was just what we needed and close enough to home. We are sure to book again!

  • I'm so happy that I chose this cabin for my retreat from the 'real' world. The Wood River Retreat is restful and spiritual, from the moment you turn down the drive. I can't wait to get back again!

  • We loved our weekend getaway at this cabin! The fireplace was wonderful and Douglas provided detailed instructions on how to use it. The cabin was immaculate and lovely. The appliances were up-to-date and worked very well! Douglas also gave us detailed tips on the location which were much appreciated!

    Carrie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Everything is great. My wife and I loved the space. Doug is a photographer and his photos are hung in the space and beautiful. The decor is minimalist but stylish and comfortable and fills all the needs. The kitchen is great with great equipment and staples, and the view on top of the bluff is beautiful. We'll very likely be back.

PONTOON BOAT: Available at $200/day rent which includes a 6 gallon tank of gas. It is located right next to your own private dock in the pontoon boat lift. (See listing photos and here is a 5/24/19 guest's review!! "You will not be disappointed. This place has it all. It's close to amenities and other cabins but it's a fenced and gated peninsula so it feels secluded and secure. Bring the children. We spent three nights and our wild bunch never got bored even without ever turning on the TV. Paddle boats, kayaks, a canoe, yard games, two fire rings and the pontoon boat. I so wish I could post a picture of the pontoon, it's the most beautiful little boat I have ever seen. Jim is a true craftsman. Every detail of the restoration is perfect. Every time we took it out we felt like an Oriole in a flock of sparrows. At night it just glows, Jim added LEDs under the canopy and also above the pontoons. Everything is so clean and expertly maintained, the house, property and equipment. One thing I was suprised about is that they didn't nickel and dime us. They charge just enough to make it worthwhile so the value is amazing. I know I've paid twice as much for half the fun. Thank you Jeanette and Jim. We never do the same thing twice but for this we will.")
The location is just 5 miles off the freeway for easy freeway access yet far enough to be quiet and peaceful. This place is in a secure location with a fence and gate. Please note that we are not responsible for weather conditions, lake conditions or acts of nature. We have a very strict no pet policy. There are pet boarding facilities close by.

  • Our women’s softball team was a little nervous on how we would all be accomodated being there were 17 of us.....Yes 17! Jeanette was wonderful in responding to every question we had before we even booked! The property was just as described and every question and request was amost immediately answered upon our arrival... they even pulled out an extra full sized refrigerator for our large group to use! The property had ample space for our 6 vehicles and 20ft camper. We made use of the assortment of yard games, lake floaties, and the beautiful pontoon! Not only did we each have our own set of plush towels laid out for us (bath and beach), the linens were top quality and the whole house was squeaky clean! This was the perfect place for our group and if i could give it 10 stars i would! Would definitely recommend and stay again! Thanks Jim and Jeanette for sharing your property with us!

  • This rental was great for our group of adults who wanted a relaxing weekend away from the city. The house sits on a hill with direct lake access. The beach at lake isn't huge but we used a couple of big rafts and floated past the dock. Water is only maybe 4ft deep off the end and is a sandy bottom so perfect for hanging out. The house itself met all of our needs. Large patio sets were perfect for eating meals and everything we could have needed was in the house and well labeled. No complaints from us!

    Sara2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, stocked with things to do, and sleeps 11. Make sure to bring water to drink. Jeanette is very friendly and won't stop short of making your weekend wonderful!

    Vincent2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing space and location. Such a great bonus to have the boats and water toys available for use. Great service, communication and accountability. Fantastic experience from start to finish. Don’t pass this place up... you will not be disappointed. And make sure to catch the amazing wildlife, fishing and wonderful sunrises over the water. Can’t say enough about this place. Great work!

    Ryan2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • This large mobile home has more space than you think. Great for a group of 8 over a long weekend. The water off the shore is great- weed free soft sand. Kayaks, canoe, and paddle boats make for a good time on the water.

It's generally quiet here however, being mainly a second home area, summers and weekends tend to be busier with activity. Neighbors are located to the North and somewhat further away to the South through brush and trees. Also there are homes dotted along directly across the river. All are less visible when the leaves are on the trees. There maybe occasional additional noise when four wheelers go by, or during hunting season. This is most apparent on weekends.
  • My husband , one year old daughter , 2 dogs and I had a magical stay !!! Cabin was better then pictured and clean and cozy. We loved hearing the river rush and enjoyed many outdoor fires. Renovated to resemble the original build over 100 years ago. Relax near the wood burning stove in the structure of shaved timbers. Hike around the creek bed on the 20 acre parcel or for the more adventurous the adjoining 50,000 acres of DNR land.
Many photo opportunities around rustic barn. Great for evening bonfire. Shooting Range for long guns or pistols. This abandoned farm is an excellent property for hunting. Please note this is a cabin, there is heated running water, but no refrigerator. Plan on bringing a cooler to keep food and beverage cold. Kuerig coffee maker is ready to go so bring your pods. There is no conventional oven, we use an electric griddle, hot plate or crockpot for cooking. These are at the property for you. There is unlimited space for setting up tents or other camping structures.
    Rural and secluded.

  • This cabin provides the perfect getaway to reset and enjoy sometime unplugged. It is a beautiful 100 year old charming cabin set on what used to be a farm. We spent time snowshoeing around the property and at Crex State Wildlife Area, stopped at the brewery in Grantsburg and did lots of reading by the fire at the cabin.

People who like to get away - and not have to travel too far - are pleased to know that it is only 45 minutes away from the city-centers of both Minneapolis and St. Paul. The hobby farm is child friendly as well as a great choice for individuals or couples who need a temporary get-away. We have chickens, cats, and dogs on site but rooms are pet-free.
North Branch is a small town, historically a hub for the potato and sod farmers of the area. Today it is has a thriving downtown with businesses such as The Sprouted Branch - a healthy food store; Peterson's - a garden and feed store; Pizza Pub; Rust - an occasional shop; a library; thrift stores; County Market; Shopko; North Branch Outlet Mall; Caribou Coffee and Einstein's Bagels; and many other businesses which make North Branch still a hub for town and country folk alike. The Sunrise Prairie Regional Bike Trail runs the length of North Branch and beyond, along Old Highway 61. Snowmobile trails are quite accessible. Other quaint towns such as Lindstrom, Chisago City, Scandia and Marine-on-St. Croix are within a 15 - 30 minute drive. Cambridge, 15 miles to the west, has Menards, Fleet-Farm, City Center Food Co-op, Cub Foods, and many independently run establishments as well. Forest Lake is 20 minutes to the south.
  • My daughters and I loved it. Jean was an excellent host and helped with any questions I had. The space was beautiful and very clean. The king size bed was extremely comfortable. It was a short drive to numerous amenities and attractions. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place that's cozy and comfortable just north of the cities.

  • Jeans home was a warm and welcoming place for a relaxing girlfriend getaway. The private spaces were generously sized and comfortable. The king sized bed was so soft and cozy. I melted right into it. My friend used the futon and felt the same way, as Jean had it all made up and ready for us upon arrival. The bathroom was such a unique space that was clearly designed with love. Jean used many repurposed materials which made it so interesting. If you enjoy reading there are books everywhere. I loved being surrounded by them. The small, yet fully functioning kitchen is within the shared space but we felt we had plenty of privacy. We enjoyed having our meals in, utilizing the facilities, and lounging on the super comfy sectional sofa. We woke to snow both mornings and delighted in the lovely views from every window. The house is tucked within the trees so that you feel far away from civilization yet the road and access to cute towns and experiences aren't far away. Jean was flexible and accommodating, allowing us an extra hour to lazily pack up and head out, which I would have rather not done!! I would definitely recommend Jeans farmhouse as a wonderful option for accommodation. My girlfriend and I are already talking about coming back next year.

    Nicole2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Jean's home is an eclectic residence along with a wonderful karma. Easy to find location and close to town. Jean and her daughter were fantastic hosts. We would definetly stay here again.

  • This house is better than it looks in the pictures. The residential accommodations were beautiful, well furnished and tastefully decorated. Loved the bathroom, unusual design. Jean was an amazing host, very accommodating to our needs and delayed check in, and a great conversationist.

    Raman2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Jean was so kind and friendly. Although she also was unable to be there during our check in, she still had a way for us to get in with a secure code and she made sure to greet us as soon as she was able to. There was plenty of space and there was more to do there than we even had time to explore. I would recommend Jean's place to anyone needing a nice quiet homie get away.

Our 3 bedroom, knotty pine cabin is peaceful, yet only a 45 minute from the Twin Cities. Enjoy your morning coffee on the patio, while listening to Loons. Catch sunfish, crappies, northern and bass off our dock. We supply the scenery, you supply the memories. Roast marshmallows at the fire pit. Notice how brilliant the stars are when you leave the city lights behind. Breathe. Relax and Rejuvenate.
We have wonderful memories of raising our 5 kids at the cabin. But now our babies are grown. So It's your turn to make sweet memories. We have a new dock and raft, a kayak and a row boat. A new porch and patio with tons of outdoor chairs and tables. We have the DNR spray for weeds for better swimming. We have the basics in the fridge, an ice cube maker, all the kitchen gadgets, a Keurig and a 10 cup coffee maker. Hot cocoa and tea for those inclined. All towels & bedding are supplied. Lots of comfy couches and chairs, a fireplace, T. V. 's with local channels and a Roku on the wide screen. There are Netflix and Amazon Prime on the Roku. We have WIFI for your electronic needs. Board games, books and DVD with extra movies and TV shows. Bring your sunblock, flip flops and bathing suits. Your Ready for Vacation.
Our neighbors are wonderful on both sides and down the block. There is Flick-a-birds for a great burger or Cafe Stuga for a home cooked meal. Cambridge is just 10 minutes west for groceries, eating and shopping. Mostly, you will just want to be at the cabin. So Enjoy!!
  • We certainly enjoyed our stay at Laurie's cabin. A beautiful dock, fishing boat, and kayak, made for great fishing. Fishing off the dock for sunfish is pretty steady if you have little ones. Otherwise, we brought a trolling motor and put it in the rowboat. That allowed us to go anywhere on the lake we wished. The DuKane barbecue grill works great, and the house is filled with amenities, right down to K-Cups for the Keurig coffeemaker. There was even a can of decaf for the regular drip coffeemaker, and of course, filters also. The beds were comfortable, and the cabin will easily sleep seven without using the couch. The TV in the living room gets a couple of local channels, and the one in the family room has Netflix and Amazon Prime. Along with a DVD player and CD player, there's plenty to watch on a rainy day. There are a couple of old TV's in the bedrooms that are not hooked up to anything. We enjoyed listening to the loons and great horned owls in the evening. Also, there is a red fox in the neighborhood we saw twice. Deer are also plentiful, but you must be careful for them when driving at night. We're looking forward to our next stay. Thank you Laurie.

  • A wonderful, relaxing cabin. Fun for all ages and swimming right from the dock was so clean and so much fun. The use of a floating dock, kayak and row boat just added to the fun and enjoyment.

    Deborah2018-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Laurie's place is cute and cozy! It is very quiet on the lake. We saw very few other boats and no jet skiers. Although small, the fish seemed to bite all day- even from the dock. There are plenty of places to relax, both inside and out. Everything is provided, except your personal items and food. We came home relaxed and rejuvenated !

  • 12 of us had a reunion at Andrew's lake house and we had a wonderful time - plenty of space for all of us to hang out and catch up. Andrew was very responsive. We also borrowed Andrew's pontoon and took it out on the lake which was a lot of fun. Beds were comfortable and clean. Highly recommend for a large group, remote getaway.

    Erica2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew's place was really quiet and it was a very relaxing place to stay. The kayaks and pontoons were great amenities. The living room was very spacious and fit 12 people comfortably.

    Nino2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew is a great host. The house slept 9 adults and 3 kids comfortably. It could use a bigger table, but we made it work. The house is as good looking as the photos show it. Easy to get to, near enough to town and far enough away to be quiet at night. Reasonably priced too! I would recommend Andrew and this house to anyone.

    Myron2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • It was exactly what we were expecting and appropriate for what we paid for the stay!It had everything a group our size (with kids) needed, without unnecessary luxury. A great cabin experience! Andrew was responsive and attentive with the few questions I had during our stay.

    Heather2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a gorgeous place for family or families. Utilize the pontoon rental on site as it adds a fun element to the stay. There is plenty of space inside and outside of the house for kids to play. Everything was working well and things easy to find.

    Aimee2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great Property. Nice and private large backyard. Spacious cabin with many comfortable beds to sleep in. The only thing unexpected was the smell of the water was a bit rusty. Overall, Andrew was a great host and was very responsive to any questions we had. We enjoyed our stay very much!

    Feng2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay with families! Each family was able to have their own sleeping and bathroom space with gathering areas throughout the house and property. Even when it rained we were not "on top" of each other with the open floor plan and large covered deck area. Would highly recommend this property.

  • Joan greeted us, showed us around and had everything ready for us to settle in. There wasn't anything missing or that we needed during our stay. The house was easy to find. We enjoyed our stay very much. Easy to find and so convenient to where we were staying.

    Cheryl2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • The area was beautiful! The space was very cute and homey. The history of the family was very interesting. Justin was very nice and informative of the area. Definitely a good stay and getaway!

  • A nice place out in the country. Warm hosts and an authentic farmhouse vibe.

    Jordan2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This house is a farm house which is rustic, has plenty of space and is clean. Overall, a lovely place! We were traveling with two toddlers however, and staying in this lovely, charming house was a bit of challenge for me as there are quite a bit of (charming) decorations including porcelain, glass and hot oil diffuser lamps. The garage/entrance area is set up as a garage sale area, with lovely items and there are vases, lamps etc. in all rooms. All these decorations add to the charm of the place(!), but it also had me stay on my toes to make sure the kids did not to break anything and/or to avoid my kids getting hurt. Usually, I have no problems traveling with kids, but this cute place proved a challenge. So, it is a great place for adults, older kids, our families with ONE well-behaved kid perhaps. But not the best choice for a family with two curious toddlers. The kids loved going for walks looking at the cows, the butterflies, the birds etc (me too). The trees and the fields and the grill was lovely. The kitchen is well stocked and communication was great. So, although it was to the best choice for us perhaps due to the stress from keeping our toddles away from all those interesting things, we did enjoy our stay in many ways.

    Angelika2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • It was really a great place and a private get away. Feels close to nature . Justin was really a great host

    Karthik Reddy2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • If you enjoy being out in the country, the Maplestead Farmhouse is the place to stay. The place was clean and very well equiped. You only have to bring food and shampoo. Even though it was hot during our stay, there were plenty of fans to keep you cool without having air conditioning.

    Steve2019-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint house in the countryside.

    Joshua2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Justin is a fantastic host- answered questions quickly and was always very nice. The house is cute and cozy. Tons of blankets around, games to play with the family, and a nice TV. It’s a ways away from any places to eat, but they have a beautiful full kitchen so bring some groceries for when you don’t wanna drive for meals. There’s tons to do around the house, and the drive to get to those places is peaceful and scenic. The nearby towns seemed very interesting. We really enjoyed the views from the house and hearing the cows mooing every so often!! We would love to stay again if we’re in the area, and I totally recommend this stay to anybody looking!!

I welcome you to view the wildlife of Northern Wisconsin from this genuine log cabin. There are plenty to see from the many birds i.e. Woodpeckers, Yellow Finch, Bluejays, and Hummingbirds in addition to deer, foxes, and whatever else might call the woods their home.
This is a genuine log cabin, hewn from local timber. All of the outside walls are logs, as well as some inside. Complete with a pine ceiling, it is very warm and cozy. The furniture is a heartfelt mixture of new and antique, each piece lovingly selected for the space. I've included a TV, Roku, and DVD Player (no cable or antenna, however) for rainy days. The large modern kitchen makes cooking big breakfasts easy after a night of grilling and roasting marshmallows just off the back patio. This all melds perfectly into a grand guest experience.
Grantsburg is home to Crex Meadows as well as the 30,000 acre state park across the road with numerous hiking trails. The St. Croix River complete with boat access is just two miles down the road. If that's not enough, there are plenty of antique and gift shops in and on the outskirts of town. For the adventure seekers, you can rent outdoor toys just across the main highway and for the less adventurous, there is a Par 32 golf course in town.
  • Beautiful space. Very cozy!

  • Fabulous cabin in the woods. Great secluded feel, although easy access to road and Crex Meadows. Lots of space but cozy Northwoods feel (we saw two deer in the yard one morning!). Great kitchen amenities. Great outdoor gathering spaces as well. Would def stay here again!

    Jean2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • A fun place to stay! Lots of games and nature to see! We had a bunch of deer walk through the yard. Locals have much to do - tubing and canoeing, ski resort not far away. Even some local breweries with some tasty beer!

  • Jessica's place on Cross Lake was awesome. We used it for our family reunion and it met the needs of everyone who stayed. Everything was exceptional and made for a special weekend together.

  • Perfect place for a getaway!

    Meghan2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great little cabin not too far from the twin cities! It has EVERYTHING you could possibly need and was spotless. I can’t say enough good things about the cabin and host Jessica!

    Kaitlin2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great house on a beautiful lake! It was furnished with everything we could need, including a lot of games and toys. It was also clean and comfortable. The hosts live next door, so it’s nice to know if you should need anything. Check in was easy and convenient. A lot of information was provided about the house, lake and area, which was nice. The screened in porch was nice and provided a comfortable place for sleeping. We were glad we did not bring our jet-ski, as the water is weedy in front of the dock but it didn’t impact our stay! There is a nice, big yard for hanging out, yard games, etc. There is also a nice place for a fire right by the water. The provided firewood was a very nice touch!

    Shannah2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was perfect for our friends' get together with our young kids tagging along. There was plenty of space in the front yard for games and the back yard had a gorgeous view of the lake. The inside was very clean with plenty of room for eating/prepping. There is a nice screened in porch to enjoy the late night breeze w/o dealing with mosquitos. We rented a pontoon from a local outfitter and enjoyed cruising around the lake doing some fishing and swimming. Jessica also responded very quickly to any question we had throughout the booking process as well as during the weekend. We had a great time at this cabin.

    Graham2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • As I drive down to the beautiful log cabin, I can't help but feel relaxed even before I get out of my vehicle. The cabin has everything I need to get away from the day to day activities in my busy life. The screened in porch is perfect to sit out on and watch the snow fall ever so gently.

    Jennifer2018-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect cabin on the lake, close to the Twin Cities but has all the flavor of the far north. The cabin is absolutely spotless and well equipped. Everyone in our group was pleasantly surprised by this sweet little slice of Minnesota.

Cozy 1400 sqft lake house only 70 miles from the Twin Cities. 10 minutes east of I-35. Perfect for quick getaways, for couples, families or solo travelers who like privacy and a fantastic view. Recently remodeled, with all amenities and high end finishes. Great for all seasons! Bring your boat or jet skis and take advantage of the 1000-acre Cross Lake. PLEASE NOTE: MAXIMUM NUMBER OF GUESTS IS 5 Good for winter activities, too. Skating, ice fishing, snowmobiling, etc.
Great lake views from both levels. One bedroom and one full bath on each floor. Big deck for hanging out and eating meals. The house looks west with great views and lots of light. Lower floor stays quite a bit cooler in the summer, but thanks to radiant heating system, is nice an warm in the winter. Upstairs fireplace sets a perfect mood for sipping tea or wine at the bar corner. Since we want to feel secluded and enjoy the lake and the nature, we haven't installed any TV's or sounds systems in the house. Internet is just fast enough to stream a few videos, but may not be able to handle HD picture quality. We have a wireless speaker that can be used for listening to music.
Some of our neighbors are there full time, some are there seasonally or on the weekends. They are all very friendly people and like to interact.
  • This was our second time at this amazing cabin in a beautiful setting on the lake! (Previous review - May, 2019) Invitingly comfortable, two-story home! Lovely views of the lake from both levels. Had all we needed in the kitchen to prepare a Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings. Our host was, as before, very conscientious and helpful! Easy drive to two great State Parks. Highly recommended!

    Collin2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and cozy, was perfect for our weekend adventure. Having a 2 & 5 year old I appreciated the simplicity of the place, there wasn’t anything the toddler could “get into”! Beautiful house- I wish it wasn’t pouring the whole time because the back yard is beautiful on the lake!

    Mariah2019-10-06T00:00:00Z

    Brock2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • My family spent a week at this beautiful cabin. It is an ideal distance away from the metro area--not too far, not too close. The cabin, though of older construction, has been expertly maintained. But the main focus of our stay, and I am sure of everyone's stay, is the outdoor space. There is a large deck that overlooks a picturesque medium-sized lake. The lawn is well-kept and can be used for daily lawn games and nightly bonfires. The whole scene is shaded by grand oaks, maples, and other trees. The online pictures can give you a good idea of the space, but experiencing it in person is even better. We experienced only one day of rain over the whole week. The other days offered plenty of time for lawn games, cards on the deck, and plenty of swimming in the lake. The water temperature, despite the air temperature being only in the 70s most of the week, was pleasant enough near the dock and shoreline that we could stay in the water for hours at a time. Expectedly, there were a few mosquitoes, but they seemed to only emerge as the sun was getting ready to set. Otherwise, we could safely stand outdoors in our swimsuits without being bothered at all. There are two full bathrooms and two full bedrooms. One of each on each level of the home. There was plenty of space for our third couple to sleep on the pull out couch. Seeing as the house does not command large amounts of unneeded square footage (the point being to be outside as much as possible), we never felt cramped by the space. We spent much of our time on the bottom level going in and out from the porch into the kitchen/dining/sitting space. The kitchen and dining seem a bit small at first, but we did quite a bit of cooking in the kitchen, and we had plenty of space. And we had plenty of dishes, utensils, spices, and miscellaneous items to satisfy everything we needed. There is also a grill on the deck that is easy to use. The check-in process was very easy and the host responded within minutes of every question I had. The host keeps the place up very well. Everything was in proper order and nothing was difficult to use or find. There was one very minor home repair the owner was going to deal with once we left, but it did not cause an inconvenience. When it came time to leave, we were all very sad for our time at this lake house to end. It was exactly what my family wanted out of our vacation time together. We are very grateful the owner made such a lovely setting available to us. We cherished our time together there. Thank you so much. -Nick

Relax at Crestview Cottage! Brand new vacation home on East Rush Lake, less than an hour from the Twin Cities. Perfect for families with a quiet location on a dead end road. One level home with a flat yard leads out to a sandy bottom lake. Enjoy sleeping in central air conditioned comfort at night and enjoy the beautiful lake during the day. Bring your boat and enjoy 2 restaurants on the lake, or kick back and fish off the dock. Let the stress fade away.

Located in a small town. House is on the opposite side of the lake from town. One restaurant is very close, less than 5 minutes away, others take about 10-15 min to get to. Basic supplies/bait can be gotten at a general store about 5 minutes away, closest town with full grocery store, Wal Mart etc is about 20 minutes away.
  • Stunning home with stylish attention to detail! My family absolutely loved our time on Rush Lake. We ate at both restaurants on the lake (Grumpy Minnow and Flickabirds). So nice to not have to plan for two meals! Tara was super responsive and lovely. We brought our boat, which worked out great. The shoreline is sandy and excellent for swimming. Every time we turned around, we kept noticing another wonderful part of the home. I’m not a rustic person, and many Airbnb places in northern Minnesota are rustic. This home is plush and perfect! We will stay here again!

  • Tara and Adrian’s place is beautiful, we had my family with three children and in-laws stay at the cabin. It was great for my two-year-old daughter with the beach. The home itself was beautiful, while we were there it was in the 90s so it was a real treat to have air-conditioning.It was nice having a bar restaurant left than a mile away for dinner. I would definitely recommend this place

  • Tara and Adrian's place was exactly as described. The lake is wonderful and the lawn games and kayaks were an added perk. Tara was also very responsive when I had questions during our stay. I highly recommend Tara and Adrian's place for a great weekend getaway.

Have nothing but great things to say and highly recommend!

  • I wanted a house in Harris, Minnesota to be able to have room for any relatives who wanted to stay with me. Verna's home was the perfect place. Family was coming to Harris for a reunion at my cousin's home in Harris. I had five of my relatives stay with me for two nights at Verna's home. There were more than enough beds and rooms for all of us. I cannot describe all the welcome items that Verna had ready for us: coffee, milk, juice, eggs, chips, fruit, English muffins, little pies, coffee cake and wine. She had a waffle iron out with regular and gluten free pancake mix available. I know I missed many of the things Verna had made available for us. Since my Aunt and I were coming from Fargo, Verna was at the house waiting for us. This made the welcome very special. I would HIGHLY recommend this home. Thank you Verna.

  • My family reunion was even better than it was dreamed possible. This home and property offered the perfect atmosphere to make it all possible. We would highly recommend to those who want to gather and just enjoy time together. Thank you Verna Lee for these memories.

    Sandy2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Quiet and private. Beautiful landscaping. Lots of flies outside, which can’t be helped. Lots of space. Love the bedroom that sleeps 5-6 so the grandkids could all be together. Has a pool table and games, which we loved...especially because we had some rainy weather. Also loved the snacks and breakfast options, which were plentiful. Lots of added thought given to “extras” that really showed Verna cares about her guests.

    Suzanne2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Verna Lee's place is very spacious and clean farmstead with plenty of room for us, my parents, and my three children with their partners. The deck was a wonderful place to watch the birds as we had our morning coffee. Verna Lee has a great kitchen with the best selection of cookware and dishes that I have seen at an Airbnb. She also had a lot of breakfast food available including gluten free options which our daughter appreciated. We had a wonderful stay.

    Mark2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Plenty of space for 11 adults! Vintage decor, sweet and caring hospitality, and of course Verna herself made Come Home All feel exactly as that, “home”. We all felt like we were at home and we made lasting memories together. Can’t wait until we come home again!

This bright and cozy 3 bed/2 bath home is a relaxing getaway just 70 miles north of the twin cities. Our cabin is set on a beautiful, pine filled peninsula offering amazing views of Cross Lake from the oversized deck or any window in the house! Whether you're interested in a relaxing get-away with the family, fishing Cross Lake (in summer or winter), hitting the casino (just a short 10 minute drive) or enjoying the nearby snowmobiling trails this cabin is a perfect fit.
  • This is the second stay here, and as always, it was awesome.

    Jason2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The kitchen was equipped with every possible tool our chef needed. The cabin was very spacious and the size of the deck was amazing even tough we couldn't take advantage of it because of the cold weather. The location is just by a lake so I could ski on the frozen lake every morning. The hosts were very flexible and responded promptly. I gave 4 not 5 stars for the expectations because my expectations are always very high. Another person would try to give 6 stars :)

  • Home was beautiful! Clean and organized! Our trip was cut short due to weather, we can’t wait to book again and come back!

  • This is the second time we’ve stayed at Ariana’s place. It’s such a cozy comfortable house. The view of the lake is visually invigorating. She has thought of everything. We would definitely recommend it!

    Tammy2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Ariana’s lake home is the perfect spot for a family get away. You are surrounded by water on both sides because of the home’s location on Cross Lake. The large deck has plenty of seating to enjoy nice weather. We loved the birds, squirrels and chipmunks. Sunsets were beautiful. So many lovely touches. Including a thoughtful gift basket and welcome note. I could go on and on.

    Tammy2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • I and some friends came up here for a weekend away from the cities and had an absolute blast. The cabin was beautiful, and the deck is truly a thing to behold. Several of the group commented that it was amazing to have such a secluded feeling place so close to the city - would absolutely visit again.

    Scott2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place close to the cities.

    Rita2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great family vacation here! The cabin was so spacious and clean, and the deck space was amazing. With three little kids we had lots of room to spread out. The location right on the lake is beautiful and we had so much fun enjoying the kayaks, water rafts, and the water trampoline. Ariana was very quick to respond and a great host! We would love to return next summer.

    Adam2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • The home had a beautiful view with double sliding doors that welcomed the sunshine. The lake is the perfect size for exploring and they provided a canoe and paddle boards at no charge. The hot tub was great to relax in after spending the day on the lake. It was nice to be so close to town for groceries, etc.

    Emily2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place and nice view. Sure enjoyed the hot tub.

    Barbara2019-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay at Theresa's place! Communication was always fast and smooth, check-in was easy (Theresa's dad was very nice, walking us through everything), and the place itself was lovely. While it was a little too chilly to get out on the water, our group had a relaxing weekend playing board games on the big kitchen table while looking at the lake view.

  • Todd was extremely responsive and considerate before and during our stay. The day we were inbound was aligned with a snow storm so we had to coordinate as far as snow removal. Everything went well with that and our stay was a nice family experience.

Futon on the lower level for sleeping as well as a large sectional that has functioned well as additional sleeping space when needed! Large shaded deck with a great view of the lake. Newer refrigerator & range. New water softener. Newer dehumidifier in the basement keeps it nice and dry. 1 Full sized bed in the main level bedroom 1 Full sized bed in the loft 1 Futon in the 3 Season porch 1 Futon in the lower level 1 Queen sized bed in the bedroom in the lower level 1 Queen sized aerobed is also available (in the basement closet) 3/4 Bath on the main level Full Bath in the lower level (Newer washer/dryer for small loads) New Samsung 50” 4K Smart TV, Wifi connected added to the lower level. Amazon Fire TV Stick. Login to your favorite apps and watch your favorite shows! Many priority things have been updated, but it IS just a cabin and still awesome in it's imperfections too! We love using it ourselves and are constantly working on improvements. Enjoy it without the work! :)
Walmart is a very short drive away! All of the fun of a cabin with convenience added! Pine City is a cute small city with weekend activities through most of the season. I'll have the Guidebook on the table for you to sort through any local things of interest if you like. We are located along the county road where the speed limit is 30mph, but there are trees and shrubs between the cabin and the county road. You probably won't notice when you are enjoying the lake view from the deck. 10.2 Miles from Chengwatana State Forest. (Straight East on Cty Rd. 8). 13 miles south of Hinckley, MN. (Grand Casino is there if you like gambling) There's a theater in Hinckley as well as a great trail head where you can walk, run, or bike all the way to Canada if you wish! Stop by Tobies for a cinnamon roll while in Hinckley. 1 Hour from Mille Lacs Lake. 28.5 miles from Banning State Park. 1 Hour and 7 minutes from Jay Cooke State Park 1 hour and 20 minutes south of Duluth. Only 1 hour from Minneapolis! If you're boating, Lake Pokegama (a trip up the Snake River) has 2 places to dock your boat and eat; The Floppy Crappie or Vanelli's Landing. Another option a short boat trek from the cabin is Mom's Parkside Cafe! Order a pizza from Pizza Pub in town! They will deliver it right the deck and you'll LOVE IT. Try the Pizza Pub special - fabulous! I always leave the growler there for guests to use and fill up at our local brewery - 320. Just leave it on the counter when you leave. My favorite is their very popular Super Day IPA. Be sure to check out the guidebook for all of the local places. There are neighbors, but they may or may not be around. (See the photo's for proximity). Charles and Jenae are to the North and Frank and Ann are to the South if you want to give them a shout out or wave! They are great people, so we like when our guests are respectful of them.
  • Research the address (Google Maps) carefully because the house address is hard to see from the southern approach. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and great view of the lake.

  • You will love your quaint cabin experience on Cross Lake! Indoors and out everything is comfortable and easy to navigate. The hosts are easily contacted and respond in timing manner. We rented a pontoon from Snake River Outfitters, which seems to be the only place renting in the area. It was a 5 star experience for our two family vacation!

    Makenzie2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy cabin with everything you could possibly need. Plenty of very comfortable spots to curl up in to sleep or just relax. I love the deck and the three-season porch, all with a great lake view. Pine City is a fun little town with several great dining options and grocery store available if you like to stay in and cook your own meal. We did loads of fishing right off the dock and rented a pontoon one day so we could cruise the lake. A warm and inviting getaway for our family of five.

    Rebecca2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time. This is such a great location on the lake. We were here for a family reunion and wanted the kids to have things to do during down time. We all had a blast kayaking on the lake. The house is very roomy and comfortable.

Enjoy the large master bedroom with a private en suite bathroom. We come and go so it's possible your privacy will extend into the whole home. Our cabin sits on 2 acres right on Horseshoe Lake. It's a quiet lake great for fishing, swimming and boating. Enjoy a bonfire outside or grill on the wrap-around desk. Listen to the birds and frogs from the gazebo.
Enjoy a peaceful master suite on a quite lake. There a full bed with a sitting space and chairs, full bathroom and a space for your bags. The large windows face the woods so it’s very private. Fall asleep to the loons and frogs calling. Guests have full access to the property and common areas of the lake house (kitchen, basement, living room etc). It’s likely you’ll have the whole place to yourself, as we come up in our limited time to enjoy the lake.
Harris has a small cafe and gas station 5 minutes away. Cambridge and North Branch are both 10 minutes away and have everything you might want. Grocery stores, cafe, coffee shops, movie theater, restaurants.
  • Great place to visit

  • Kelsey and her place are brilliant! She was the perfect host in every way, and her home by the lake is super cozy! I was travel weary - arrived at 1am after a VERY long travel day. Kelsey's directions were impeccable - I had no problems finding my way there, the key, or my way into the home. I slept like a log, and woke to the gorgeous views and a well equipped kitchen. Great value! I can't wait to go back!!

    Hannah2018-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Perfectly simple and rustic. The fact that the cabin is one studio space means you and your friends and family get to truly spend your time together. Great use of space with that open layout! The deck offered great views of the yard and beyond and the stars at night were so beautiful out there. Brought the pups too and they just loved this place. We went to Boondoogle Winery and 320 Brewery for some local beer and wine and we found some amazing hiking trails along the river at Governor Knowles State Forest, all 3 of which I would highly recommend visiting. Great place overall!

We had everything we needed to settle in and feel at home. And Todd was accommodating and accessible. A beautiful place for lounging, laughter and libations. So clean and a gorgeous position on the lake. Best weekend!

  • Toddy's lake house was absolutely perfect for a weekend away with old friends. There was more than enough room for us to enjoy ourselves while having our own space and the location on the lake was incredible. It truly had everything you could want including a grill, firepit & chairs, dock, bar, pool table, board games, tv, bluetooth sound bar... the list goes on. Todd was easy to get in touch with and very hospitable. I would highly recommend this property and hope to stay again in the future.

  • 100% recommend this Airbnb! The hosts were so kind and welcoming. They answered any questions I had along the way quickly. The house itself is beautiful with everything you could ever need in the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. The pool table was a nice addition. We rented the pontoon for a day and the hosts went over everything the day before so we weren’t confused. What a beautiful place and kind hosts.

  • Todd’s place is even nicer than the photos. The landscaping and amenities in the cabin/lake home were pristine. So much space and there is a game, activity or quiet place for everyone. The swimming area off the dock is so sandy and soft, ive never had such a nice swimming area off a dock.. and I’ve been an avid cabin goer. Todd made himself available for all questions. Very accommodating. Also, the cabin was such a nice distance from the cities, drive felt so short but an oasis all the same. My entire group had a blast. Can’t say enough nice things about this air BNB.

    Rachel2018-08-06T00:00:00Z

3 BR lake home on 3000+ acre East/West Rush Lake, only 50 minutes north of the Twin Cities, 3 mi off I-35. Perfect for day trips to Duluth or the Cities! Cabin is steps from the water, with a 48' dock for your use. Great fishing, swimming and water recreation. Large deck on lake side of cabin to grill, eat, and view the spectacular sunsets! 2 restaurants on the lake a short boat or car ride away. Golf course-2 mi State bike trail-3 mi Grand Casino Hinckley - 30 mi Public Access - 2 mi
Spacious cabin sleeps 7 in 3 bedrooms, with all the amenities: WiFi throughout, Washer/Dryer. Great Room has large sectional, gas fireplace, 65" HDTV, and A/C. Master BR is Lakeside and has King Bed, 32" HDTV, and A/C. 2nd BR has Queen Bed (and crib if you need it), and A/C. 3rd bedroom contains Twin over Full bunk bed, and A/C. All BR's have blackout shades/curtains so you can sleep well after a long day playing on the lake! Everything is on the same level, no stairs to climb.
Cabin is on a dead-end, residents only road, so there is very little traffic and is safe for walks and kids with bikes. Area is part of a large association so you can also take walks and bike rides along the lake via approximately 3 miles of paved private road. The lake can get a little green in July and August from the algae, but it is not harmful in any way - the upside is that the water is warm! The area in front of the house is relatively sandy with a firm bottom, but there are just a few weeds - but not enough that it should stop anyone from going in! You can wade out for at least 100 yards and still be chest deep in water.
  • Wade is an amazing host. He met us there at check-in and his place is fantastic. The lake is great for boating too. My daughter was able to catch some fish right off the dock. It was great. We'll be back.

  • Even better than the pictures. House is right on the lake with private dock. Centrally located, so we were able to pop into the Twin Cities for a ball game, the Mall of America, and the state fair, and up north to beautiful Duluth and Gooseberry Falls. Place is nice enough that you will be tempted to just stay at the house. Caught bass and crappie right off the deck. House was really well equipped, and air conditioned. Enjoyed kayaks and floaties on the lake. Wade was a great host. Definite thumbs up on this place.
