It was a very pleasant stay at Thomas' place. The chalet was nice. Its a brand new chalet with a modern fireplace in a middle. We loved our stay there and surely will come back one day.

This place has a scenic view in alps. This place is actually a hotel with breakfast included. The room was very clean, and so was the toilet. Wifi is only available at the front desk. If you want to enjoy the serenity of alps, I strongly recommend this place!!

We were greeted warmly. The host clearly wanted to know how he could make our stay enjoyable. He provided answers to all the questions we asked about the area. The hotel was easy to find and, being off the main road, our sleep was never disturbed by the noise of traffic so often a problem in European hotels.

We had a great stay in Wallinger Sonne. Peter Paul was very helpful and accepted our booking quickly. We only booked the night before at midnight and were accepted before breakfast the next day. It was not mentioned in the listing but the stay actually includes a very generous breakfast! We had a great time and highly recommend Peter Paul

Très bel hotel avec une vue magnifique depuis le balcon. Peter-Paul est venu chercher mes parents à la gare comme proposé. Ils ont discuté en Européen (Français, Anglais, Allemand mélangé) et mes parents ont bien apprécié le temps passé à discuter.

I am absolutely in love with this small village it was the perfect getaway from a busy city! Anna was super kind, and it was her father-in-law that met up with us to let us into the apartment and he was the sweetest man ever. He introduced to all of the local animals in the village :)

Absolutely Amazing. This was one of our favourite holiday experiences ever - the train down to Reckingen is fantastic, the town is amazing, the countryside is stunning, the flat is gorgeous, the neighbourly goats are cute! Can't recommend a stay here highly enough. We'll have to return in another season so it is all new again!

This was my very first AirBnB experience and it was wonderful. Let me start by saying that i simply typed "switzerland" and our dates into the search field and this was the first place that popped up--we were meant to be. So off we went. The place suited myself and my husband and our dog just fine--could have held more people. We enjoyed cooking in the fully stocked kitchen and the extensive hiking trails right outside the door (literally). We drove (american's living in Europe FAIL!) but next time we'll take the train. Anna was very helpful and prompt in responding to inquiries and issues that came up between booking and check-out. The town is absolutely darling with a covered bridge right outside and expansive views in every direction. We highly recommend hiking up to the restaurant on the mountain and enjoying a beer on a nice day! Book without hesitation!

Anna'a charming appartment is an excellent place to experience the culture in the Valais region. It was very clean, warm, well organised and extremely well located. Anna answered our questions promptly and helpfully. I recommend this appartment and Reckingen to those looking for an easy, relaxing Swiss alps experience. There is plenty to be explored in the local area.

Reckingen, the tiny gorgeous village of 400 people where Anna's flat is located, contains houses dating back to the 1600's. It's a quintessential Alpine village. There were goats outside our window and cows being raised in the town. In a few minutes, one could be on the wanderwegs in the mountains. It also has many conveniences such as a bakery, a small grocery store, the train stop, a creamery, and a prize winning butcher shop. In season, it also has hotels and restaurants. Anna's flat is rustic and homey with everything needed. It was a dream time to stay there. Anna was totally charming and considerate even though she was having a baby in Scandanavia at the time.

The flat in Reckingen is really nice and very close to the train station. The hosts were very helpful and prepared everything perfectly. The surrounding can be explored easily with good connections to different marvelous places.

Extremely adorable place for a relaxing, peaceful, convenient stay of Swiss holidays. In the small village where the chalet locates, you will have bakery, some market and restaurants, the most important totally relax mood. We had a nice week in Nadia Chalet, the little village of Gluringen is perfect for small kids that want to start skiing. thx Nadia

If you want the experience of living in a small village in Switzerland, far from tourist crowds, you couldn't do better than this. Nadia's heritage chalet in stunningly beautiful Gluringen has all the mod cons, but it's got the heart and charm of a home where families have been living for generation upon generation for literally centuries. Insulation and heating were great. The kitchen is very well equipped. Kids loved the attic rooms and could hardly be prised from there. We visited in late May, and even though none of the nearby headline attractions were accessible (Eggishorn, etc) due to maintenance of cable cars, Gluringen will always have a special place in our hearts. Switzerland at its quiet rural best.

Nadia was very good at communicating with us about everything through email and her directions were very good. Her web links were very helpful and we enjoyed her restaurant recommendation of Joop. The chalet was exactly as described and there is a lot of space. Although I am tall, I didn't bump my head much and the living room has higher ceilings! We had a car to get around but it is not essential as there is a nearby railway station to get you anywhere. I walked to the local supermarket in Reckingen every day to get wonderful bread, dried meats and there is a terrific bio-cheese maker very close by. Honestly, if you cannot walk to these (in summer) then Switzerland is not for you as it is a country to be walked. A small but sufficient supermarket is also in Reckingen but a more complete shopping can be done at the COOP in Münster-Geschinen about 3km away. One thing I can add is that although this part of the alps is great on its own, the chalet is well situated if you don't mind a drive over to the Eiger-Jungfrau area or even west to Montreaux - both about 2h, which is not bad in my opinion.

Nadia was fantastic to work with and even sent an inquiry while we were staying at the chalet to see how things were going. The description of the chalet is accurate. We love the neighborhood, a beautiful Swiss village with all the old wooden houses and snowy mountains all around. The train is a short hike down the hill and also nearby are the wonderful dairy shop, a ski rental and restaurants, including a great pizza place down the road toward Reckingen. Everything we need is within walking distance which is very convenient. Also nearby are fantastic cross-country ski trails and a small downhill ski area.

Nadia´s chalet in the beautiful village of Glueringen was a true swiss experience for us. The chalet was comfortable for 4 of us and our li´l daughter. We could explore the beautiful region of Goms and visit the UNESCO world heritage area of the Altesch glacier. Would go back again in winter :)

We had a wonderful stay in Nadias beautiful house in the mountains! The place was fully equiped, nothing was missing. We even had two baby beds and alot of toys and books for our kids. They enjoyed it as well. We loved the raclette grill for the half cheeses too. The view and the landscape are beautiful. We had a lot of snow and could go skiing and sledding right in front if the house. Nadia was extremely friendly and helped us even with finding the right cheese :) and we could even stay longer the last day. We loved it and hope to come again. Thank you, Nadia!

This apartment is as nice as illustrated in the picture. Great space, great authentic atmosphere. We (4 adults, 5 kids) spent a great week, outdoor days, cooking and enjoying the fireplace in the evenings, we would gladly come back. The place is located a few hundred meters from one of the best cross-country skiing track and multiple hiking trails. Downhill skiing is also quite accessible (we did go every day to fiescheralp/bettmeralp, though requiring some logistics: 15 min drive to Fiesch and some more time for the cable car up to the station). Gilles was responsive and flexible and provided all information we needed prior to and after booking the apartment.

Great experience! The apartment in the chalet is very big and very rustic and with everything you need! The location is great for hiking! 5 very spacious bedrooms and decent bathroom. Great upstairs common area with very cozy kitchen, and fireplace.

We had a nice stay in Reckingen. The place itself looks a lot more "modern" in the pictures than in reality - particularly the kitchen, where the cutlery is ancient... as I was celebrating my birthday I planned on preparing a dinner at home one night. From the pictures it looked that despite being an old traditional chalet with character, the interior was refurbished to modern standards. I expected that for the kitchen equipment too. One more thing to note: it was the first time ever that I have stayed anywhere that I had to make the beds - meaning, the linen was folded on top of the beds and we all had to set it up. In addition, there was only one hand soap in the house and we had to go and buy our own toilet paper because there was only enough for the first night.... little details that make a huge difference on the experience you have staying somewhere. So I was a little disappointed by that, but we did the most of it anyway.

Sie bietet viel Platz und ist dank dreier Nasszellen und grosser Küche optimal für Grossfamilien eingerichtet. Ja, die Böden knarren und können Leichtschläfer stören! Die nahe Umgebung mit dörflichem Charakter bietet Kindern viel Spielmöglichkeiten. Wir (4 Erw. / 3Kinder) hatten eine schöne, gemütliche Zeit.

Occupant les deux derniers étages d'un imposant chalet du 17e siècle, ce logement est plein d'histoire, de charme et d'authenticité. La surface et les nombreux petits coins permettent de se retirer même en étant nombreux. Entre la bibliothèque, la décoration et la vue sur la vallée, il y a largement de quoi occuper d'éventuelles journées de mauvais temps passées à l'intérieur. Quant au village, il est tout aussi pittoresque et authentique, avec une belle église baroque pour les amateurs. Les familles avec enfants apprécieront les pistes de ski faciles des environs, idéales pour un début.

La casa es increíble, acogedora, espíritu suizo 100%. Fuimos 9 personas y disfrutamos de nuestro espacio propio. Equipación completísima (cocina, habitaciones...). La zona es maravillosa. Nos dejó cautivados y si tenemos oportunidad, volveremos!. Para los amantes de los deportes de invierno, perfecta ubicación. Para los que simplemente quereis descansar, también.

Très joli appartement, propre et bien situé, idéal pour faire du ski de fond dans la vallée de Conches. Gilles était un hôte très accueillant et tout s'est très bien passé. Le séjour à Reckingen était très agréable. Plus: une bibliothèque avec des livres fort intéressants!

I needed an uncomplicated place for one night on a business trip that I wished to be out of the city. The B&B met all my expectations. It is a tidy very nicely decorated place that represents quite well part of a typical swiss alp hostel. The Beatrix and Roland are very friendly and open people who made me feel at home within minutes. I had to leave very early the next day and they had a copious breakfast waiting for me at 6.30, wow! I can highly recommend the place :)

Ich war im Juli 2016 zehn Tage Gast im B&B Hängebrigga in Mühlebach, ein traumhaftes Dörfchen oberhalb von Ernen (15min Fußweg). Beatrix und Roland waren die perfekten Gastgeber, immer präsent, super-freundlich und hilfsbereit, gaben nicht nur wertvolle Wandertipps... erfüllten (fast) alle Wünsche. Großes großes Lob an die beiden!!! Die Zimmer wie im Bild sehr gemütlich, nur natürliche Materialien, gute Betten. Schnelles WLAN, super Fernseher mit unzähligen Sendern. Toller Blick auf die Berge (Eggishorn/Bettmerhorn) und das Rhonetal. Das Frühstücksbuffet üppig mit frischem Obst, Müsli, Käse, frischen Backwaren. Ich komme garantiert wieder!!!

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt. Die Zimmer verfügten über alles wichtige, Bad war auch vorhanden..Das Frühstück war gut, sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeber.

Jaap Paul, the son of the family, greeted us with a smile and provided us with everything we needed. The hotel is in an absolutely gorgeous location upon a hill looking down on the town and the mountains in the background. Our own balcony provided for great views and an opportunity to enjoy the fresh air and mountain breezes. I recommend this place for any people searching for a serene get-away.

Nous avons été très bien accueillis ! Le logement était tout à fait conforme aux photos. Nous avons eu en plus un balcon/terrasse avec une magnifique vue sur les montagnes et les chalets typiques de la région. Endroit très calme et paisible.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit sauberen Zimmern sogar mit Balkon. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut, gerne wieder!

Superschön gelegen, Anfahrt schwierig, weil das Navi die Straße nicht findet, aber besser so, als umgekehrt ;-) Balkon (und Blick von da) super. Toll, dass wir auch draußen frühstücken konnten: wunderbarer Blick übers herrliche Tal. Es ist ein Hotel, deswegen nicht ganz so persönlich wie bei privat, aber trotzdem empfehlenswert und entspannte Stimmung. WLAN funktioniert nicht im Zimmer.

It was nice to stay at Gereon's place. Gereon is a very nice person and a great host. He helped us with all the required information. He was available almost always for any help we required. Reaching the Bellwald by car from Zurich was a challenging and thrilling experience.

Like dear Wilbur in Charlotte's Web, the best description of this perfect little mountain gem might be, simply, "humble." With easy access to the slopes, the town, the church, and the train, Gereon's perfectly acquainted chalet is neither grandiose nor assuming; it is simply perfect in it's own way. Everything from utensils to storage, board games to books, is well-thought-out and delightful. The space is incredibly clean and inviting, and Gereon is equally charming and thoughtful. We considered ourselves extremely lucky to have stumbled upon such a wonderful rental. We left with great hopes of visiting again.

Simple and perfect!

We used Gereon's cosy appartment as a hide-out during 3 cold and rainy days in October as a break from camping in our tent. It was small but very comfortable and warm. The house has character and a nice atmosphere and we felt right at home. It once belonged to Gereon's grandparents, and for us it was great to be somehow back in our youth because it has a bit of a seventies feel, but very well kept. Everything you need is there, well equiped kitchen. The only thing to mention is that for us tall Dutch, the beds were a bit short though, and mattrasses not too great. Bellwald is a fantastic location for hiking, we did amazing hikes along the great Aletsch glacier and in Binntal the week before. The house itself is in the center of Bellwald, near everything. It is located between other houses, so don't expect a view to the valley or grasslands around you. There is a small outside area though. There is no parking at the house if you come by car, but you can park for unloading and put your car in the free car park 5 min. walking distance. Gereon is a great host, very welcoming and friendly. He lives on the upper floor so is mostly available. Recommended!

Gereon is a super kind host. He has told us everything about the area and the apartment. Bellwald is a wonderful and typical town near the well-known Zermatt and Furka pass. Everything was perfect and super clean. Looking forward to coming back to this amazing chalet. Recommended!
