Places to stay in Ranelagh, Dublin
Exceptional en-suite double bedroom in a fully refurbished-stylish period house, in one of Dublin´s most beautiful streets. Location is unmatched in the lovely Ranelagh area, only 10 mins walk to St Stephen's Green!
Enjoy this exclusive en-suite double bedroom with all the advantages of a hotel room: WiFi, mini fridge, kettle, large wardrobes, and powerful shower.
The house sits in one of South Dublin’s most beautiful streets and quiet areas. No less than five embassies / ambassador residences (such as Netherlands and Hungary) are located just around the corner! Although the house is perfectly located only 10mins walk to St Stephen's Green, the area has a nice residential character, enjoying plenty of trees, parks (Darthmouth Square and Ranelagh Gardens) and period houses. It’s perfect for a morning/evening walk or jog, for instance, along the canal.
  • Ideally situated, few min walk from the Do Dublin bus tour. Perfect for a few days in Dublin.

  • Excellent location ! The place is nice and cosy. Rodrigo sent us useful information before our arrival.

    Celine2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our visit to Dublin and the lodging played a large role in that! Rodrigo's place was a great location - it provided close access everywhere we wanted to go, while still being in a nice quiet area for resting. The ability to check-in ourselves through the key code made the visit super convenient to come and go on our schedule. Rodrigo left lots of messaging in the space explaining any information we needed to know about it (labels of where to leave our shoes, explanation on how and when to work the heater, etc.). He also reached out a few days prior explaining what AirCoach line to use to go from and to the airport, as well as where we could store our luggage before the room was cleaned, and how to reach him if needed. I'd say his place is a great option for a solo traveler or a couple who'd like a more independent AirBnb experience (we didn't end up communicating with Rodrigo at all while we were there, though I know we could have if needed. It's just that he had already provided great communication about the space, so we didn't need to).

    Emily2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Rodrigo’s place is very clean, cozy and well located. Amazing place to stay. I’ll definitely stay there again.

    André2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location just a bit out but safe, LUAS stop is only a 5 minute walk and so useful. Room what I expected, clean. No TV and you can hear a lot of walking around above but I would recommend

    Bree2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The room is really cozy and beautiful with a lot of thoughtful touches, the location’s great and Rodrigo was a helpful and kind host. Highly recommended!

1 cosy single and 1 large cosy bedroom in period house in fab area of Ranelagh, aka the Village. All amenities, including restaurants, pubs, trams, buses, a few minutes walk. 20 min stroll along the canal or through Georgian Dublin to city centre. No extra charges or cleaning fees
Great area, lovely home. From time to time I also have a second room to rent. Just enquire
Its just about the best place to live in Dublin. Everything is on your doorstep, including lovely restaurants, lively pubs, barista cafes, and 20 mins walk through Georgian Dublin to St. Stephens Green, which is the main pedestrianised shopping area on the south side of the city and River Liffey.
  • Mary’s place was wonderful. The location is great, easy to get into town but you’re not surrounded by noise. The check in was super smooth and I knew what to expect long before I got there. The house was warm, clean and friendly and I had a lovely morning chat with Mary before setting out to explore Dublin.

    Phil2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay. Very convenient for tourists / city visitors. Recommended!

    Laura2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • The room and the house are conformed to the description. Mary is a caring host. The emplacement of the house is really good. And what you can need around.

    Amandine2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Marys place is super cosy, location is great - and she as a host friendly and easygoing! This would definitely be a place to come back to if I go to Ireland. Thank you Mary for this week!

    Rebecka2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The location works well for a short walk into Dublin for all the sights and access to transit (bus' and train, DART).

    Richard2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Mary's place is in a great location. The space is a 5 minute walk from the Greenline tram, so getting into the city center is easy. Ranelagh is vibrant with lots of restaurants and shops to explore. The room itself was cozy and warm and thoughtfully decorated. Mary offered helpful tips on restaurants and gave me info so I could order a taxi for a very early morning departure. All in all, a nice experience. I would stay again.

    Kate2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely and clean, great area, highly reccomend.

    Adam2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • I recommend Mary's accommodation for anyone who can climb the stairs, satisfied with nice, small rooms. The whole house exudes harmony, tranquility and Mary has great confidence, because all rooms and rooms are open, even in their absence. Residential area is great. The center of Dublin can be reached on foot in 15-20 minutes. In Ranalagh itself there are also good shops, restaurants. I will go to Dublin more often and I will always choose Mary's accommodation.

    Ranelagh, Dublin, Ireland

This Studio space offers comfortable quiet accommodation in leafy central Dublin. 3 minute walk from Leeson St. 15 minute walk from St Stephens Green & Grafton St. Easy access to city and to the many restaurants in Ranelagh. IMPORTANT NOTICE from Host: In mid February 2018 Air BnB introduced a major redesign of their website. While the overall effect of the redesign is positive, some aspects of the redesign can leave a prospective guest confused. See "OTHER THINGS TO NOTE" below.
This is one of two similar Self Contained Studio/Bedsits for one person available at this property. There are also two other Self Contained Studio/Bedsits No. 2 & 3, (slightly larger) for two people on the same corridor. The space contains: 1. A bedroom with single bed adjoining an en suite, toilet, shower and sink, with hair dryer along with a fixed or hand held mirror. 2. A small sitting room area with easy chairs, dining table, TV (Irish Channels only) and complimentary telephone with calls to Dublin numbers only. Wired Internet access plus wireless access. 3. A small closed off kitchenette with small electric cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, sink with delft and cutlery. The kitchenette is a basic back up amenity presuming that guests will be eating out for their main meals. It would not be suitable for regular daily preparation of meals at home.
Ranelagh is a leafy suburb of Dublin just south of the Grand canal. Originally a village, it was incorporated into the city of Dublin in the 19th century. In 1785 the first manned balloon flight in Ireland took off from Ranelagh and landed in Clontarf on the north side of the city. The rented property is a 10 minute walk to Ranelagh village with its many fashionable restaurants and small shops. Just over ten minutes in the other direction and you are at the gates of Stephens Green having walked through fashionable Leeson Street with its clubs and restaurants. A further five to ten minutes and you find yourself in Grafton Street to do you shopping and heading on to Trinity College for the famous book of Kells.
  • Eamon was a perfect host, available, welcoming, flexible and in the same time very respectful of your privacy. He makes you feel at home even if you're miles away from your place. I really enjoyed the studio, perfectly located in a quiet area where you can walk safely at night. I was able to reach the city center every day by foot, but the LUAS (tram) is also less than 10min walk. It's perfect for a work week in Dublin as it was my case. It's really clean, well accomodated (toaster, dishes, microwave, private bathroom, little desk, hair drier, filtered water, and you can have access on demand to the bigger kitchen). All these little details that counts. Special mention to the serious respect of waste sorting and spirit of the house in general! Warmly recommanded !

    Elsa2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Good location. Everything needed in a sweet studio flat. Great hospitality

    Miles2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Eamon is a wonderful host. He was very welcoming when I arrived and gave me fantastic recommendations for things to do in Dublin and how to get around. The bedsit is very clean and well maintained. The location is quite good, with shops and restaurants very nearby with quick access to the city by bus or tram (or even on foot). Overall, I would absolutely recommend this listing.

    Simon2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • The location is exceptional- a few minutes' walk from the centre of Dublin, yet quiet & residential - & also on the edge of Ranelagh, with its shops and restaurants. Closeness to public transport (including Air coach to Dublin Airport) is a huge plus. The flats are thoughtfully designed, compact, well equipped, tasteful and comfortable. Also provided: filtered water, ironing facilities and laundry for long-term guests. The priority given to security, lighting and the comfort of guests makes one feel very welcome & safe. Eamon's detailed instructions before arrival, explaining transport, location and facilities, were extremely helpful; on arrival, he was ready to assist in every way. I highly recommend these marvelous apartments and Eamon's warm and generous welcome. An amazing place to stay and a very helpful host.

    Jennifer2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Eamon‘s place (Coudrin House) is highly recommended by me as a female solo traveller with the aim of exploring Dublin without needing to participate in the liveliness of Dublin‘s nightlife. The location is in a very quiet, yet central area of the city. It‘s only a 30 minutes walk to e.g. Temple Bar (if you look for touristic attractions) and there are also frequent operating means of transport, either bus or tram, which make you go there a little faster. Eamon is an absolutely kind and careful host. Communication was always and immediately given for any questions I had. The studio is cozy and all of it is very clean. It contains a small kitchen facility that includes a fridge and even a microwave plus a small oven for preparing meals. There are various supermarkets nearby which all in all makes it a perfect place for self-supply. In case I return to Dublin, I‘ll chose this accommodation again. Thanks Eamon for letting me have as a guest.

    Simone2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • If you're traveling alone, you are lucky to be able to be in this appartement. There is public transport quite near, but in a 15 minute walk you are in the park 'St. Stepans Green', and in 20 minutes in the shopping area 'Graftonstreet'; I hardly used the tram and busses. The place itself has everything you need, it's like a Tiny House.

    Marijke2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent accomadations minutes from downtown and UCD loved the personal touches of tea and cookies

    Dean2019-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • Eamon and his staff were so very helpful throughout my entire stay. Eamon was very thorough with instructions and if i had any questions, he was glad to help. I was so pleased with the studio, it was exactly what I needed as a solo traveler and the location was walking distance to nearby pubs, restaurants and the center of dublin if you don’t mind longer distance & if not, an easy bus ride. I was very happy with everything and would easily stay again.

    Ranelagh, Dublin, Ireland

4th floor small studio apartment very near the City Centre and just a stroll down from St. Stephen's Green Park. The main room has a double bed, work table, large flat screen TV and a sofa. The studio is very compact, clean and simple and is situated in an old 1950's building with a time-locked interior. This could be 1960's Moscow and will certainly not be everyone's taste. Cherry House, Mespil Estate is a great base for working and/or exploring Dublin. Not suitable for children.
The kitchen is small - but is well equipped to prepare your own meal. There is a washing/drying machine for clothes. The heating is gas central heating and the hot water is instant. In the bathroom there is a shower and a bath. Wifi is provided in the apartment and the TV is connected with multi channel Virgin TV.
I can only provide a car pass for long term rentals - 15 days or more. There are parking spaces on the Mespil Estate from 5pm - to 9am only in the visitors car park in front of the swimming pool. If you are still parked in the visitors car park outside this period you will get clamped. From 9am to 5pm you will need to organise your own parking arrangement. The neighbourhood is 10 minutes walk from St Stephen's Green and 15 minutes walk from Grafton Street, Dublin busiest shopping street. When you are in Grafton Street - go to the Bewleys Cafe - the 175 years old iconic coffee house. From there you can stroll to any of the museums (no admission fee), or shopping streets. I often get asked for luggage to be left in the apartment after checking out because the plane leaves in the evening. If I've no check-ins that day I can look after it - if I do have check ins my advice is to go to Saint Andrew Street, Dublin 2, near the Tourist Office and leave your luggage in Number One Newsagents in Saint Andrew Street (near Trinity College) - €3 per bag per day. They securely take your bag for the day and it also saves you having to walk back to the apartment to collect the bags.
  • Jerry’s place is perfect for 1-2 people. It was clean, cute and within walking distance to all of the happening things. I would definitely stay again!

    Dublin 4, County Dublin, Ireland

Your own door apartment in a gated and secure apartment complex. 20 minutes walk from St Stephen's Green and round the corner from Ranelagh Village, where Dubliners go for a meal and a drink. (Temple Bar is more touristy and too far away - trams stop at 12pm) You can either walk to St Stephen's Green and Grafton Street or take the Luas (Tram) from Ranelagh Village. Shops and supermarkets are nearby. The Luas/tram track runs beside the apartment on top of the old communal garden wall.
The apartment is compact with a double bedroom, a small single bedroom and kitchen and bathroom. If the weather is good you can relax in the outside patio. You will hear the trams passing the communal gardens and faintly inside the apartment as the old railway line is on the boundary of the communal garden. The Luas operating times are from 5.30am to 12pm. The front of the apartment is on Northbrook Road which is a reasonable quite road traffic wise. When you open the window in the bedrooms you will of course hear traffic passing by. It is very near Ranelagh Village but far enough removed that you won't hear any entertainment noise form pubs and restaurants.
Ranelagh is the fashionable place in Dublin for living and eating out. There is a range of good quality restaurants from Italian, Indian to traditional Irish food and there is a wide variety of (gastro) pubs and local supermarkets. The suburb is well connected to the City Centre with 2 trams stops that will bring you to the centre within 10 minutes.
  • Gerry was friendly and helpful. The place we stayed in was clean and warm. It was also in a great location for walking some places and also having the LUAS right there made it extra convenient. We highly recommend it.

    Udo2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend Jerry's place when you visit Dublin. The apartment is close to the city centre and has everything you'll need while visiting Dublin. The apartment is spacious and has a modern kitchen. The beds are very comfortable and there is plenty of hot water for your bath or shower. Jerry is considerate and very quick to respond to any questions you have.

    Diane2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was perfect. Jerry is a very welcoming host, easy to communicate with and even provide guests with culinary gifts. :-) The apartment was crystal clean and located in quiet neighborhood one street-far from Dublin4 center; in particular, the supermarket is at a 3 minute walk. We recommend Jerry's apartment without any kind of reserve!

    Damien2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jerry was very friendly despite late arrival and was very accommodating throughout the stay. The apartment was very clean and the equipment includes everything you need. Downtown Dublin is within walking distance in about 30 minutes. Supermarkets are about 7 minutes walk from the apartment. A clear recommendation!

    Anna-Lena2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely calm space in a gated development in easy reach of Charlemont LUAS stop and the excellent eating options of Ranelagh village. Jerry was incredibly welcoming and amenable; we had a wonderful weekend in Dublin.

    Anna2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jerry's apartment is comfortable, located in a quiet area and rather close to the center of Dublin: 20mns walk or 10mns of transport (bus, tram). Ideal for a short visit of Dublin. We recommend. Samia & Patrick

    Patrick2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Jerry’s apartment for two nights and had a lovely time! Jerry greeted us upon arrival and explained everything to us. He even provided us with some yummy snacks! The apartment was perfectly clean and everything worked really well. The area is very nice with lots of stores and a LUAS station nearby. I can only recommend this accommodation!

    Verena2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was the perfect size for my husband, my 18 month old, and myself. We loved the location-you are a quick walk to Ranelagh village, a local center with shops and restaurants, and a 15 minute walk to St Stephens green. We found Dublin to be very walkable. The apartment is also exceptionally clean.

Located just 5 minutes' walk from the City Centre, this comfortable room has a private bathroom, kitchen and a whole floor to yourself! On direct bus routes to Dublin airport and walking distance from Trinity College, Grafton Street and City Center.
The room is spacious and quiet and you will have the whole floor to yourself with a private bathroom and a kitchenette with your own fridge, microwave oven, kettle and toaster (we provide tea, coffee and snacks). The room is also freshly painted and the bed is brand new. The room has a TV with an Apple TV with Netflix and a stereo speaker for music if you're staying in. Single air mattress is available too - just ask!
We live in historic Georgian Dublin. The house itself was built in the 1800's and still maintains many original features, with a modern twist. The area is really charming just outside the city center. Just across the street there is a deli, Starbucks, convenience store, restaurants and traditional Irish pubs! There are also local parks and a canal with a nice walk on our street.
  • Fantastic place to stay whilst in Dublin. Clean and stylish room, with brilliant extra touches - cereals, tea/coffee etc for the mornings. Great location, and the hosts were excellent with communication.

  • A really nice place to stay for a weekend in Dublin. The room was very clean and Ben’s mom is extremely helpful.

    Camille2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay in Dublin at Ben’s house. We had the whole basement floor to ourselves and were left undisturbed for the entirety of our trip. The room was cosy and warm every night when we got in from our nights out at the local pubs, however the bathroom was almost always freezing due to the fan outlet which exposed the room to the temperature outdoors. It had everything we needed and felt like a home away from home. It was about a 15/20 minute walk to the centre. Dublin is quite a small city so we had no issue walking everywhere but on the one night we were out too late to want to walk home in the bitter cold, it was more than easy to hop on public transport and get back. We’d stay here again if we were to ever come back to Dublin!

  • Ben's place was a great place to stay during my 2 nights in Dublin. Great location which is in close enough walking distance to the centre but also in a quiet place with a convenience shop close by. The apartment was clean and the check in was easy .

  • Really nice room in a lovely house. Everything was tidy and clean. Even though the location is a little far from the city centre, there are many options to conveniently get around.

  • Great location, lovely flat in the basement of a beautiful house. Has everything you need for a few days, private kitchen and bathroom. Check in and directions were nice and easy. Only thing was the hairdryer didn’t work. Overall a great stay! Would definitely come again!

  • We highly recommended this place! Sylvia and Connor were totally friendly and affectionate hosts, so we felt like home. The room was very comfortable and clean and has everything you need. The location is perfect. It's a quiet area, although the city is nearby.

  • Sylvia and Conor offer an amazing place for their guests. Spacious and comfortable room, clean private bathroom, a private living room with big TV and sofa, and we could also use everything in the kitchen to fix our home meals. The house is beautifully decorated and we felt truly at home. Conor provided us with everything we needed. He is always very thoughtful - we had an espresso machine in the room, for example :) If you need a place to stay in Dublin, make your reservation right now before you miss it! This is a Super Value!!!

Very comfy bed, lovely bathroom and had everything I needed. The location is perfect with the city being a 20 min walk or a number of buses right nearby. It’s very quiet area too with lovely gastro pub 5 min walk and a 24hr Spa just around the corner. I’d fully recommend Sylvia and Connors home and will love to stay again the next time I’m in Dublin.

    Dublin 4, County Dublin, Ireland

This refurbished Studio space offers comfortable quiet accommodation in leafy central Dublin. Two minute walk from Leeson St. Fifteen minute walk from St Stephens Green & Grafton St. Easy access to city and many restaurants in Ranelagh. See "OTHER THINGS TO NOTE" below.
This is one of two similar Self Contained double bed Studio/Bedsits suitable for two people. There are also two other Self Contained Studio/Bedsits (slightly smaller) for one person on the same corridor. The space contains: 1. A bedroom with a double bed adjoining an en suite, toilet, shower and sink, with hair dryer along with a fixed or hand held mirror. The double bed measures 6 feet 6 inches by 4 feet and would not be suitable for a couple used to a large double or King size bed. 2. A small sitting room area with easy chairs, dining table, a TV Box, (Sports, News & Film package) and complimentary telephone with calls to Dublin numbers only. Wired Internet access plus wireless access. 3. A small closed off kitchenette with electric cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, sink with delf and cutlery. The kitchenette is a basic back up amenity presuming that guests will be eating out for their main meals. It would not be suitable for regular daily preparation of meals at home. 4. While this Bedsit is suitable for a short term stay for two people who are out and about most of the time, it should be noted that if at home you are used to a large house, I imagine that you will find this double bedroom ensuite and sitting room quite small.

  • This place was very comfy and it was easy to get around. Sir Eamon was a very kind host and he responded quickly to all my inquiries and concerns and was also very patient with my sister and I. This location is 5-7 min away walking distance from a grocery store and some restaurants and the bus is also a 5 minute walk away so everything was very convenient. Sir Eamon also had many tips and suggestions that helped us get exactly what we were looking for experience-wise. Thank you again!

Spacious Double bedroom with its own fridge and microwave. Location is great, 25 min by bus to city centre and 10 min to the popular rathmines area, many pubs, cafes and restaurants near by The outside of the building doesn't look very nice but rest assured your room is in perfect condition and you'll be able to rest peacefully.
This is a small building comprised of 4 apartments, all the neighbors are very friendly
Harold's Cross is a lovely area of Dublin, Harold's Cross Park is right in front of the building and walking down the canal seeing the swans is very relaxing.

This property was originally a stable for the Coach & Horses of one of the of the main houses in Ranelagh. Very close walking distance to Dublin city center - 15 min walk. Located beside all public transport. Bedding arrangements: Upstairs: 2 single beds or a king size bed available. Downstairs: A third pull out bed can be arranged for €35 extra per night. 3 people maximum per stay. -Not suitable for party people as this is a quiet area. -No parking.
A very spacious layout, as seen in our pictures provided. The space is perfect for two people travelling to Dublin but there is also an option of having a third person stay. En-suite upstairs and a kitchen and lounge downstairs.
In Ranelagh there are lots of nice shops and restaurants. There is also a low cost non-contract gym in Ranelagh that is a two minute walk, it's called Flyefit and everything is done online through their website. We have picked our favorite places in Ranelagh that we advise and have added them into our photo selection.
  • Excellent location, just a short walk to the cafes, shops etc of Ranelagh. The Luas and the buses are close by and it is a short ride to the city. The apartment is very comfortable and nicely set out. We were there over New Year and it was nice and warm It’s an ideal place for a couple to stay.

    Pat2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Coach House is a gem. The location is amazing, right in a wonderful neighborhood that’s a quick 20 min walk from city center or St. Stephen’s Green. If this is available, book it as soon as possible. The beds are comfortable, the wi-fi is great, it’s clean, comfortable and very private. There are marvelous restaurants just up the block and your host is the sweetest. Willing to go above and beyond. If you’re thinking about booking it, do yourself a favor and get it done. You will not regret it.

  • Nothing to complain. Everything was very nice and clean. Rosie was very nice, the location was close to the city and public transport. I can totally recommend that location!

  • Very beautiful and cozy flat in one of the best areas in Dublin. Lots of restaurants and facilities and you can easily walk to the city center in 20 minutes. The host, Rosie, is really kind. Best Airbnb experience so far!!!

    Alessandro2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Our best Airbnb experience in Ireland. Rosie and her son were great hosts and made us feel quite welcome. Ranelagh is a quiet neighborhood with excellent restaurants (recommend Nightmarket for Thai food) and close to bus stops for easy transportation into the city. The space is beautiful and well put together with nice touches throughout. Would highly recommend and would certainly stay here again.

    Adam2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Rosie’s place is literally super! The house is very original and so cute, with the bedroom under the roof. Everything is well organized, lots of services and an exemplary tidiness. Everything is so comfortable that you can feel like at your home. Really recommend! Rosie is a very kind host, quick to answer and helpful for both check in and check out. The neighborhood is great, very quiet day and night, but close to one of the most interesting part of the city, full of shops, pubs and restaurants. The city center isn’t so far, I always moved walking, in 30 minutes yes can arrive there, and the walk is really pleasant, being along canal and park. Hope to stay there again!

New first floor bunk room, 5 mins walk to Temple Bar, Trinity college & close to all tourist attractions & O'Connell st just 20 min walk. Featuring keyless, digital entry, & self-check in, high-speed wifi & TV, the apartment has all you need to explore from & cook, shower & sleep comfortably in. With a cosy living space to relax in, this suits people who travel light and want to be close to the action without breaking the budget. Great value and super central location.
Paper towels are not provided - this is a choice for the environment and the future. We do not supply face cloths, sorry - our linen company does not stock them. This space consists of a bunk room with own front door access. When you walk in the lobby of the building, apartment is up 1 flight of stairs. In the apartment you have the Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom..
The house is in the Liberties which is one of Dublin’s oldest and most fascinating areas which is a short walking distance to many historical attractions such as Christchurch Cathedral, Teelings Whiskey Distillery, Jameson Distillery, Guinness Storehouse, St. Patrick's Cathedral and Kilmainham Gaol. There are also many café’s, restaurants and bars around the area as well as the house being located just off Francis Street which is known as Dublin’s main Antique street. Meath Street is at the other end of my street which is home to the famous Liberty Market (Thursday-Saturday) and many shops and eateries. There is also a flea market which takes place in Newmarket Square on the last Sunday of every month and this would take approximately 5 minutes to reach by foot. This area is very popular with tourists considering its history and how centrally located it is, it really is a perfect location if you are looking to visit and experience all of what this great city has to offer.

Clean, warm, safe self-contained studio apartment with own bathroom and kitchenette. Walking distance to Dublin city centre and rathmines town. Numerous cafes, restaurants, and bars nearby.
Portobello came into existence as a small suburb south of the city of Dublin in the 18th century, centred on Richmond St. During the following century it was completely developed, transforming an area of private estates and farmland into solid Victorian red-bricked living quarters for the middle classes (on the larger streets), and terraced housing bordering the canal for the working classes. As a fast-expanding suburb during the 19th century Portobello attracted many upwardly-mobile families whose members went on to play important roles in politics, the arts and the sciences. Towards the end of the century came an influx of Jews, refugees from pogroms in Eastern Europe, which gave the name "Little Jerusalem" to the area.

Lots of local restaurants, supermarkets, coffee shops etc very close by. The Luas ( Dublin Tram) stop was 3 minutes walk from the flat and we were in the centre of Dublin in 10 minutes. It was lovely to return home to a quieter area at the end of each day. Thanks Carmel for being a great host.

Two bedroom house located next to Bernard Shaw and Atlas Language School. The bedrooms upstairs are for guests(but no kitchen access since it’s practically my bedroom). The location is at the perfect balance of activities and a good rest. 10-20 minutes walk from Dublin’s night life streets ( Wexford, Aungier and temple bar) ; within 20 minutes to almost all sightseeing spots( Stephan green, trinity college ,Guinness warehouse). The street and house itself usually guarantees a good night sleep.
Max 6 people share the bathroom. Most of the times 3-4 people share the bathroom. I clean it daily after my own shower.

Luxurious private bedroom and bathroom in our beautifully red brick, Victorian home which has been recently renovated to a very high standard. We are located in Ranelagh, a bustling and trendy neighbourhood with an array of pubs, restaurants and cafes, a stones throw from the city centre. Grab the LUAS (tram) from the bottom of our road to be right in the city centre in just 6 minutes. If you're looking for peace and tranquility a short distance from the action then our place is for you!
This house dates back to the 1800's (Victorian times) and has recently been refurbished while maintaining the beautiful period features.
We live five minute walk from Ranelagh's main street. Ranelagh is as close a city suburb as you can get, a stone's throw from the action. It's a decidedly trendy and cosmopolitan neighbourhood with a plethora of great and interesting pubs and restaurants to choose from.
  • Our stay was lovely: the room was absolutely lovely, spotless, quiet, and great bathroom too. Super cosy and comforting, just what we wanted for our long weekend. Would thoroughly recommend a stay!

This is a clean, comfortable, bright and spacious one bedroom apartment with its own private kitchen and bathroom. Newly refurbished, this cute space is next door to Sandymount DART (Train) Station which gives you direct access to exploring anywhere in Dublin right on the door step!
This is a newly refurbished, clean & comfortable space and is a great place to stay while in Dublin. Note: The apartment is literally next to the railway line and the trains can be heard when passing. Trains run daily from 6am to 11:30pm.
I am located right next door to the train (DART) station that can take you all over Dublin (or Ireland!). Only 3 stops on the train (just 7 minutes) and you are in the heart of Dublin City! • If you do not choose to stay with Colm, then you will truly be missing out on a great opportunity. This may be my 21st Air BnB experience, and it was the best. About the host: Colm knows what it is to be a great host, and goes above and beyond to make sure his guests are happy and comfortable. He is extremely friendly, kind, attentive, and a great conversationalist. He is also very happy to help with information regarding transportation to/from airport, the city center, etc., and information regarding Dublin sightseeing. Perfect host for an independent introvert (like me) and extroverts alike. About the Amenities: first, the room I stayed in was very nicely decorated, and the bathroom was renovated - both were bright and made the stay all that much more comfortable. Colm keeps the Air BnB private room, bathroom, and parlor (with a working fireplace to be used!) *extremely* clean. It feels like staying in a cozy hotel (which is awesome because of the reasonable price!). Fresh towels, around the clock espresso machine, ten or so types of tea and hot water at the ready, breakfast bars, liters of water (which Colm constantly refills so you have a fresh liter whenever you are finished with the last), shampoo/conditioner, and even wine glasses and cork screw all available. About Location: Colm’s home is located in a beautiful area of Dublin. It is a really pretty walk from his place to the city center (Trinity College, museums, Saint Stephens Green, Temple Bar, etc.) and not long at all (approx 30 min which goes by fast because of the scenery). The neighborhood is very safe and extremely quiet (a nice respite from the loud excitement that is Dublin). A skittish person myself, I felt perfectly safe walking from Temple Bar area/ city center back home every night alone (and as a woman, this says a lot). 100% would stay again! Thank you, Colm!

    Kathleen2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Can only recommend to stay at Colm’d place. Not only is the house nicely decorated, with coffee machine and tea bags available, but Colm was truly helpful and answered very quickly.

  • 30 minutes walkable distance to the center and a beautiful room with a spotless clean bathroom. Colm was a very welcoming host and we felt at home from day one. We will definitely stay at Colm’s place again when coming back to Dublin. Thanks again for everything, Colm!

Hot shower or bath available and feel free to make coffee, toast, cereal etc in the morning. Just let us know if you'd like anything in particular and we'll try to get it in. The house was nice and clean, the house is shared with the family but at the same time we had a lot of privacy. I highly recommend staying at Kitty’s :)

  • Lovely comfortable bedroom in a beautiful house in Ranelagh. I previously lived in the area and it's one of the best parts of Dublin to stay in. Easy access to all sorts of great pubs and restaurants and only a stones throw away from the city centre itself. Kitty was a fantastic host and was flexible with us when it came to check-in. The house is beautifully clean, the bed comfortable, the bathroom amazing and bonus points for the 2 lovely cats and free street parking. Will definitely stay here when I'm next in Dublin.

Small and modern studio apartment that is located 15 minutes walk from St Stephen's Green Park in Dublin's City Centre. The studio apartment is on the 5th floor of an 1970's apartment block situated in the Mespil Estate. The estate itself is quite dated but the location is very central and safe. The apartment is very secure with an up to date centralised fire alarm system. It's an ideal base to explore Dublin, and there are some great pubs and restaurants around the corner.
  • Nice little flat, just a 15 min walk to Dublin City Center and about 25-30 mins to Temple Bar. It has a cute kitchen with all the amenities you need for a nice breakfast, a spar supermarket is within 5 mins walking distance. All in all the flat was very clean and is great for a weekend stay in Dublin!

  • Jerry greeted us at our bus stop and helped us make reservations at a great local restaurant! Short walk to some fun local bars and fantastic places to eat. The space was perfect to experience Dublin for the first time. We would definitely book again.

  • This is a great Compact one bedroomed appartment, which includes all the essentials including a Hair Dryer😊😊😊 It is brilliantly located just off Mespil Road,Baggott St. You can walk to Grafton St,Stephen's green in around 15 mins. Lots of Cheap & cheerful Restaurants to choose from and if you wish there are plenty of the middle to High end Restaurants also. We opted for Boojum, and had Mexican Burrito Bowls, which were Damn tasty. This is located on Mespil Road. We just stayed the one Night, the apartment was clean, comfortable & cosy. Our Host -Jerry facilitated a slightly earlier "Check in" for us as we had travelled from the West and were going to a a lunchtime Theatre Production at the Gaiety Theatre. We would definitely consider booking this apartment again becuase of the Convenience the area offered.

  • Our stay with Jerry was amazing! I lived in Dublin while studying and wanted to visit the city again. The location is ideal; close to the center but quite at night and a nice environment. Jerry really is a superhost; he came to pick us up at the bus stop, walked us to the studio where he also left us some treats (such as breakfastrolls, chocolates, crisps and some sparkling water). Next to that he gave us some good advice on where to have breakfast and dinner close to the studio. We had breakfast at the Canal House which was wonderful. The studio is just perfect, for a weekend stay, but even for a longer period of time. We will definitely be back ! Thanks Jerry !

The single bedroom is at the back of the house, overlooking the back yard. It's quiet and comfortable and measures 4 X 3 meters with 1 single bed. While no bedrooms in my house have "en-suite" bathrooms, there are 2 bathrooms (1 with separate toilet, on the 1st floor), the other on the ground floor at the back, accessed through the kitchen. When the house is full, these are shared by 6 persons max.
A comfortable single bed in a quiet room.
Residential area near to shops, restaurants, public transport etc.
  • It's a walking tour that's all alone, so I was looking for a single room that's safe and walkable in the city, but it was the right place. The walking distance from downtown is about 30 minutes, but the Guinness Store House is about 20 minutes, so it was good to walk around. It's a residential neighborhood, so there weren't many people at night, but rather, I felt safer because I didn't meet people. The restroom and bathroom were on the upper floor with the guest room and next to the kitchen, but it wasn't uncomfortable because I didn't have time with other people to use the upper one. I wore house slippers instead of shoes at home (it was also in my closet), but it was clean on the carpet floor. There is a cat called Ombre, and it's a very good match. I was very glad to recommend it. The bed was moderately wide for sleeping alone, and it smelled good from the sheets all day long! The next time I travel alone or two, I want to stay again.

  • Joe’s Airbnb was a delightful place to stay. Warm hospitality and clean accommodations. My only advice is to take a taxi rather than a bus from the airport.

Beautiful converted attic space with private en-suite in our Victorian home . Great views of the neighbourhood and surrounds through the two velux windows. We are located in Ranelagh, a bustling and trendy neighbourhood with an array of pubs, restaurants and cafes, a stones throw from the city centre. Grab the LUAS (tram) from the bottom of our road and be in the city centre in just 6 minutes. If you’re looking for peace and tranquility close to the action then our place is for you!
We live in a beautiful Victorian red brick house which dates back to the late 1800s. And has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. You'll be staying in the converted attic space tucked away at the top of the house. Be aware that there will be two flights of stairs to climb but we can help you with your luggage!
We live five minute walk from Ranelagh's main street. Ranelagh is as close a city suburb as you can get, a stone's throw from the action. It's a decidedly trendy and cosmopolitan neighbourhood with a plethora of great and interesting pubs and restaurants to choose from.
  • This is one of the best places you could stay at in Dublin. The location was perfect. 4 stops to the city centre. Also, the nearby village was a perfect place to mingle with locals. Coffee at Nick’s and a pint at Smith’s was how I started and ended my days respectively. Highly recommended. The attic was nice and cozy also. They are brilliant hosts and are excellent to communicate with.

  • I simply had a wonderful time - Rick knows what travellers need - all the things you often forget are there (umbrella, socket adaptor). Besides the room is well layed out, the bed is super comfy & the provided kettle & tea is really handy. Ricks tipps concerning restaurants are awesome. I never had so many good meals in a holiday. The location is super - quiet but in 5min walk you have many superb restaurants and within 20min you are in Dublin center. I fully recommand staying with Rick.

  • Really nice people, happy to help and near to downtown

  • My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights and had a great time. The room was clean, cozy, and warm. Rick met us when we checked in and gave us some local tips. The location was our favorite part of our stay - a two minute walk to the light rail station which can get you around the city much faster than the other transit options in Dublin. Not a far walk from restaurants and bars too. Definitely recommend!

  • Rick greeted us at the door and was very helpful. He offered to take our bags to the room, he walked us to the room and offered local tips about the area. He was very enthusiastic which made us feel we were safe and in good hands. Also, our phone charger stopped working and he leant us his own charger within 5 minutes of asking! Thank you Rick:))

New first floor unit, 5 mins walk to Temple Bar, Trinity college & close to all tourist attractions & O'Connell st just 20 min walk. Featuring keyless, digital entry & self-check in, high-speed wifi & TV, it has all you need to explore from & cook, shower & sleep comfortably in. The cosy living space has a small sofa bed for 1 person. This flat suits up to 3 people who travel light and want to be close to the action without breaking the budget. Great value and super central location.
PLEASE NOTE - the bathroom is only accessible via the bedroom. Please consider this when booking for guests intending to use the sofa bed in the living room. When booking for groups of 3, this apartment is more suited to people who won't be bothered by the compact size of the apartment, or the bathroom access issues. Paper towels are not provided - this is a choice for the environment and the future. We do not supply face cloths, sorry - our linen company does not stock them. The space consists of a one-bed apt with own front door access. When you walk in the lobby of the building, it is up one flight of stairs on the first floor (no lift, sorry). In the apartment you have the Living Room With Small Sofa Bed, Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom...
Due to it's most central location, this neighborhood is always popular with travellers, international students and locals. Whilst well within walking distance of most attractions, the area is generally more suited to younger travellers or people who are comfortable in diverse, city crowds, populated by people of all classes and creeds. Being so close to Temple Bar, Heuston Sation and many working class pubs, you may see some quite intoxicated locals, but they really are just on their own journey and keep to themselves. Some guests have reported feeling unsafe at night because of this, yet to this day, we have hosted over 1500 travellers without a single report of harm or confrontation ever occurring. This can be validated by checking the many other Airbnb's closeby. The house is in the Liberties which is one of Dublin’s oldest and most fascinating areas which is a short walking distance to many historical attractions such as Christchurch Cathedral, Teelings Whiskey Distillery, Jameson Distillery, Guinness Storehouse, St. Patricks Cathedral and Kilmainham Gaol. There are also many café’s, restaurants and bars around the area, which is home to the famous Liberty Market (Thursday-Saturday) and many shops and eateries.
  • Patrick was a fantastic host, and the place is right in the heart of Dublin market place. Saved us car rental cost as everything is within walking distance. I'd get in touch with Patrick again if traveling to Dublin in the future.

  • Patrick’s place was great! We were super worn out from traveling and he let us in early which was great. The place was super convenient and I would definitely recommend it!

  • This apartment was perfect for my wife and I. The location was great and only 15 minutes walk from Temple Bar area. The Guinness Factory was less than 5 minutes away. Great apartment which made it a lovely stay for us and the bed is extremely comfortable!

    Ravi2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • It was very nice to stay at Patrick's place. He made sure that I got there fine, gave really useful tips and the place was in a superb condition.

    Marc-Thomas2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and great location! walking distance to just about everything to do in Dublin.

    Sydney2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • A great stay in Dublin! Very close to the Guinness Factory tour. About 10-15 to Temple bar area as well. If you are looking to go out in Temple during your stay it is a bit of a hike, but a nice walk! Also, a lot of bars/ restaurants 1-2 minute walk from the apartment (if you are Temple Bar-ed out). A few cab drivers warned us to be more careful in this area, but we felt very safe and secure. The shower is small so if you are a tall person, it might be difficult for you to fit! The interior is very lovely. Patrick was an amazing host and was super easy to connect with/ answer questions. Would totally stay again!!

  • 100% recommended, the apartment is beautiful, functional, very clean and in a very good location. Patrick is a charm and takes care of every detail, his guide of recommendations, which also includes the instructions to use it all, is super useful.
