A beautiful little barn conversion in a beautiful setting on Anglesey

  • Had a great stay with Kathy and Bill. This is a top quality place to stay. We were doing some walking on the Anglesey Coastal Walk and this was a great central location to get out to various parts of the island. Real attention to detail and so much hospitality - will definetly be back even if just for the home made bread and lime marmalade! Thanks again.

  • We loved the comfort and the beauty of this perfect refuge. The view of the mountains and the grounds were amazing. Kathy provided wonderful goodies and both she and Bill were warm and welcoming. We very much hope to return.

  • Can't recommend highly enough. The term superhost doesn't even cover how amazing Kathy and Bill are. A home from home, gorgeous place, everything you possibly need. Just devine. Nothing more to say apart from book it! You won't be dissapointed.

  • A beautiful hideaway in the heart of Anglesey. Warm, cosy and very clean. Kathy is a great host with lots of local recommendations to help make the most of your trip. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a special place to stay in Anglesey.

    Mark2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place is must! My husband, 10 month old son and I had the best two nights away! Stunning views and the cottage is spotless and beautifully done. Gorgeous beaches a short drive away! Kathy and Bill are fabulous! The nicest hosts! We will definitely be back!

    Kate2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to escape. Thoroughly enjoyed the secluded location, although it’s close enough to a great fish and chip shop! The hosts were excellent with little touches such as cakes, milk etc. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a weekend to relax and unwind.

    Jonathan2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was perfect. We felt at home as soon as we arrived to Kathy's warm welcome. Kathy had made us some home made bread and provided fresh eggs and some Welsh and Scottish sweet treats too. The cottage itself had absolutely everything we needed, it was cosy and warm and we really enjoyed making use of the log burner in the evening. Kathy gave us loads of really helpful tips on where we should visit on Anglesey. We visited Newbrough beach which was stunning and we ate at Dylan's on the Menai Strait - the food was delightful. My favourite part was waking up in the morning to the stunning view of Snowdonia and listening to the birdsong :) We have already recommended Kathy's place to our family and friends and we hope to visit again in the near future.

Rosario's communication and local tips were superb and helped make our trip enjoyable. Ths cottage is really cosy and there were some nice touches like milk in the fridge and tea and coffee for when we arrived. Thanks Rosario, I would definitely return.

Easy to find from directions. Great space to park the car too. Bed was comfy and easy to pull out before bed. Shower room with underfloor heating was great. Small touches like flowers in the window, biscuit for the dog and the continental breakfast was really more than you could have wished for for the price. We would definitely recommend and stay again. • Clean, stylish accommodation only steps from the beach. Lovely under floor heating and log burner in the cold weather months, and amazing walking paths in the immediate area. Clean and quiet.

    Gillian2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage, sparkling clean, easy to find, walking distance from pub and chippie, woodburning stove and comfy bed- had a very relaxing time here.

    Sarah2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, well done out and very clean place. Great location on the coastal path for running/walking etc and 2mins from the pub. Log burner was great after a long day out exploring. Ann's pantry we read so much about was unfortunately closed for a month, so cannot make comment on the wonderful cakes on offer!

    Nick2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Julia and Mike truly do have a beautiful apartment, their attention to detail with regard to the decor is incredible and the whole apartment feels effortlessly stylish and homely at the same time! It was warm and toasty thanks to the under floor heating, the kitchen well equipped and beds very comfy. We were greeted by Julia who showed us round and kindly left us yummy cake and fresh milk, which we felt was very thoughtful. The apartment is in a superb location - walking distance from a cafe, a pub and an amazing ice cream place and stones throw from the beach. It was the perfect base to explore the beautiful island of anglesey and we will definitely be back.

    Holly2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at the sparkling clean cottage. It was very cosy and the wood burner and underfloor heating were wonderful touches.

    Stacey2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cake was waiting for us on arrival. Cottage is in fabulous position, decorated beautifully and well equipped.

    Sarah2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage at Arlanfor is in a great location in the village. The decor is beaut. The kitchen is very well kitted out which we were delighted about. Everything worked well, it was very cosy and super clean. We would absolutely definitely stay here again. Thanks

    Tracy2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage has been tastefully renovated and everything is to a high standard including furnishings and a fully stocked kitchen. We especially liked the wood burning stove, the home baked Welsh tea loaf left by our hosts and the cleanliness of the cottage. Notwithstanding our considerations below to future guests we would highly recommend this lovely space. Considerations:- 1. There is a very firm mattress in the main bedroom. 2. The cottage needs a grab/hand rail at the top of the steep steps. 3. There is no guest access to the on/off switch to the heating upstairs only access to radiator thermostats on each radiator.

Moelfre is a picturesque former fishing village with a long maritime history. It is also on the Anglesey Coastal Path. The bungalow is on a quiet cul de sac in the heart of Moelfre, just 5 minutes walk from the sea, perfect for dog walking and exploring the beautiful coastline. Recently modernised, bright and light with modern amenities such as Netflix, washing machine and dishwasher. It has a fully secure, enclosed private garden and space to sit outside.
Parking is on the drive, check in is from 3pm and check out is at 10am. There is complimentary WiFi throughout the property and Netflix. There is a beautiful spacious conservatory, central heating throughout and a cosy electric log burner in the lounge. I provide a complementary basic welcome pack on arrival along with tea, coffee and sugar. The property is fully equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, cooker and bedding/towels are provided at no extra cost. Dogs are welcome free of charge.
Located on the beautiful east coast of Anglesey in North Wales, Moelfre offers the combination of a picturesque maritime village with a unique history, a working lifeboat station, wonderful beaches, stunning coastline, spectacular countryside and plenty of things to see and do. There is a lovely little coffee shop, a decent chippy, a couple of shops to browse and a great dog friendly pub in the village and all just a few minutes walk from the property. There are pubs, cafes, take aways, restaurants and supermarkets in a nearby town, just 10 minutes away by car.
  • An extremely pleasant, bright, bungalow. In a very convenient, quiet location. The bungalow is very nicely furnished, beds very comfortable and everything spotlessly clean. Netflix was a real bonus. Would definitely stay again.

  • Comfortable, cozy, clean, welcoming and ideally situated. We highly recommend staying here.

    Anke2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • This bungalow is just perfect! The location is fabulous with lovely walks from the doorstep and also so much more to see within short driving distances. Inside the bungalow, you will find a very tastefully decorated home with everything you need for your stay. We stayed for 3 nights and will definitely return, probably for longer as there is so much to see on Anglesey. We particularly appreciated having Netflix on the tv which was lovely to watch in the evening after busy days out. A must is Lligwy beach just a few minutes drive from the bungalow. Also the walk around the coastal path at Moelfre is so lovely. We also loved Red Wharf Bay and Cemaes bay where we walked along the National Trust coastal walk. We only had a couple of days but if we had longer we would have visited many other places but we were delighted with Lligwy, Red Wharf Bay, Cemaes and Moelfre itself which I would highly recommend. If you are thinking of booking this accommodation then do it - you will not be disappointed!

Set in glorious countryside, this accommodation is perfect for anyone looking for a lovely Welsh hideaway. We have the most amazing sunsets and as the hamlet only has one street light we have very little light pollution so star gazing is a must. We have three rooms available in total, one single, one twin bedded room and a studio room which have there own listings. Please contact us for further information or see our separate listings.
Our five bedroom detached house is set in 2 acres of land with magnificent views in a very quiet hamlet, the perfect place to relax and recharge your battery. We are happy for our guests to enjoy the outdoor space and we even have a volleyball pitch for anyone feeling energetic. The coastal path is close by making it a great location for anyone wishing to explore Anglesey and the surrounding area. The magnificent Lligwy Beach is a very short drive away and Dulas Estuary is even closer. Benllech, Red Wharf Bay, Cemaes Bay, Parys Mountain, Moelfre and Amlwch Port are all in close proximity. Britannia Bridge and the ferry port of Holyhead are approximately 30 minutes drive. For those of you who want a little bit of adventure Snowdonia, Zipworld and Surf Snowdonia are within reach of this property (roughly an hour away or less depending on the traffic). Scuba diving, cycling, fishing and kayaking are also easily accessible from this property.
The north coast of Anglesey contains some of the finest beaches in North Wales, alongside rocky coves and dramatic cliffs. Porpoises and seals are commonly seen. It is an ideal location for birdwatching and we are proud to still support a red squirrel population. There is a good mixture of pubs and restaurants to suit all but it's the beauty and drama of the island that brings people back again and again. We are a short drive from Snowdon, Bangor, Caernarfon, the ferry port of Holyhead, Zipworld, and SurfSnowdonia.

  • A lovely home in a beautiful area. The price is more than reasonable, and the hosting is top notch. The WiFi was strong even when fully booked, and was stable throughout the month I stayed. I was comfortable when staying in, and it proved a good base for exploration. I was sad to leave, I expect you might be too.

  • Lovely little find! Great location for getting out and about exploring. Loved the little touches by Denise and Carl such as the kitchen essentials, little treats etc which made it very much home from home. It was great to come back after being outside in the absolutely hideous British weather and get cosy. Much needed family time achieved thanks guys! X

  • We had a great short-break in this really spacious caravan, which the owners have furnished with everything you will need for your stay. The caravan is comfortable and warm and the green space at the back for the dogs to run on was a real bonus. It has a really hot and powerful shower which is a big plus point. Denise & Carl said hello and goodbye, and made it clear we should speak to them if we needed anything, but as the caravan was thoughtfully stocked and the information provided in the guest folder covered everything, we didn't need much else! The caravan is nicely situated in a quiet corner of Anglesey so you can easily get to all best spots for walking/shopping but have peace & quiet to return to. There are some good walks to be had from the caravan itself and you can get to a few really good pubs on foot too.

  • We had a great stay at Denise's. The accommodation is clean and comfortable, and our dog really enjoyed having lots of space to run around in. Very conveniently located for walks on the coast. Would recommend.

  • Such a lovely place. Denise was a wonderful host and the location is perfectly suited to exploring Anglesey and beyond.

    Nick2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Denise’s caravan was spacious and clean. It was fairly well equipped. The little extras were a nice touch. Anglesey is such a beautiful island, the beaches are gorgeous and so clean.

  • Great stay in lovely surroundings. Friendly thoughtful host. Definitely recommended.

  • Me and my husband and a fantastic weekend break at the caravan for our 1 year anniversary! The place is very peaceful and a perfect locations for trips to the local beaches. The caravan is spotless, the shower is hot and powerful! On arrival Denise had everything set up, ready to go, BBQ and fire pit. Inside was lovey biscuits, eggs, butter, milk and cold water in fridge just perfect. We are keen walkers, we found printed out some coastal path circular walks of which we did after leaving on the Sunday, we look forward to coming back and trying another one!

  • This was a great find.... if you are looking for a chilled comfortable and exceptionally clean base you will not be disappointed.... with added little homely touches. Comfy beds and a great shower loads of space for a couple or small family. Lovely outside space and a large enclosed meadow for a dog and kids to play. Denise and Carl were friendly and helpful and there if you need anything. We will definitely be back very soon...

  • Lovely cottage, the most amazing location, spotlessly clean ... what isn’t there to love about this place!

    Molly2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great location with The Ship nearby for superb local food. Perfect base for exploring.

    Pamela2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Fab location! Great apartment! Walks from the door - even a very short one to the pub! We loved it!

    Sue2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Red Wharf Bay is fantastic, especially if you have a dog who loves the sand as much as ours. It is about 10sq miles, so when the sea goes out there is an expanse to explore; the walk round the bay to Benllech is well worth it. The accommodation is just as it appear on Airbnb. Fabulously stylish but homely too, warm, very clean with comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen area. We ate at The Ship In as it was the only place open, but would have tried The Tavern or The Boathouse; they’re both running out of season hours at the moment. Sue is a great communicator which made things very straightforward. Go, relax and enjoy

    Sarah2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome location, unique stay with great views. Very clean and comfortable accommodation near a pub and restaurant with fantastic walks. Easy drive to Snowdon national park with the rest of Anglesey and North Wales coastline nearby.

  • What a fabulous place to stay in a stunning location. Everything was lovely and the house was sparkling clean. There are two great places to eat within 5 minutes walking distance, the Boathouse and Ship. The tavern is also great and a 15 minute walk way. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend it. Sue was a fantastic host and the communication was great.

  • Amazing setting, great accommodation, well appointed and caring hosts.

    Naomi2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • WOW we were expecting lovely but actually got amazing. The apartment was modern, stylish and spotlessly clean but at the same time cosy. The view from the deck onto the spotlessly clean beach was second to none. There are 2 lovely places to eat a minutes walk away which are quite reasonably priced. We enjoyed every minute of our magical short break and can't wait to return soon. Well worth the 5 star rating

Set in glorious countryside, this accommodation is perfect for anyone looking for a lovely Welsh hideaway. We have the most amazing sunsets and as the hamlet only has 1 street light we have very little light pollution so star gazing is a must. We have 3 rooms available in total, this twin bedded room, one single room and a studio room, which have their own listing. Please contact us for further information or see the listings (The Secluded Spot (Studio room) & The Secluded Spot (single room)
  • Faultless. Very short notice but immediate responses and couldn't do enough to help me out. On arrival such a friendly warm welcome and a lovely room with tea coffee TV etc all included. Had a fantastic peaceful sleep and can't wait to visit again.

  • A comfortable room in a nice house in the countryside, about 40 minutes' drive from Caernarfon or Holyhead - an ideal place for someone looking to get away from big cities and enjoy the beautiful nature of Anglesey, which also has quite a few historic attractions. The host is very friendly and always ready to help or give some advice about the area, overall, highly recommended for those who want an enjoyable stay away from the crowd. There a TV in the room, and Wi-Fi connection is good, so you can still be in touch with the world when you want it.

    Vadim2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place with the highest standard of cleanliness, the host was wonderful and the little touches of chocolate in the fridge and tea and coffee facilities were excellent. Lovely views from the front and the back of the property. This was our first Airbnb stay and if everyone is as good as this we look forward to more stays. Thank you very much to you.

You’ll love my place because of the location, the ambiance. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and furry friends (pets).
  • Such a lovely quaint place to stay. Well equipped for a few days break and ideal if you have a dog / dogs... Our 2 loved the space and freedom. The drive from the bottom of the hill to the cottage is rough terrain so take it easy. Not too much distance but something to note; especially if the tide is in. No issues for 4x4's. Heated floors make the place constantly warm and cosy with the woodburner a great way of additional heat. Good walk around the edge of the bay to The Ship where you can enjoy a well earned drink and good food. All towels and bed linen provided as well as washing up equipment. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return. Thanks, Karen, Martin, Bobs and Leroy

  • The cottage was beautiful and perfectly located with everything we needed inside....very comfy bed :) The log burner is fabulous; just what we needed after a long day walking, our dog Dexter loved it too. The cottage is in a great location for pubs, cafes and walks! Thanks we loved every minute and will definitely return!

  • Great little cottage for a weekend getaway. We walked to the Ship Inn for a nice meal-- highly recommend the seafood chowder!! It was cosy and tidy and had everything we needed for a couple nights including all that was needed to make a few meals. Lovely place, would definitely return. Cant beat the views!

  • Can only repeat what others have said and all the fantastic reviews. You’ll not be disappointed! Location was fantastic for some lovely long walks with the dog. Got to put my new wellies from Christmas to use. Despite the weather we really didn’t find it bothered us much as we managed to get out and about and because the location was so good when it rained/hailed (a bit :)) we just headed back and got the log burner going which the dog definitely enjoyed more than us! Maggs was there if you needed her but didn’t intrude. Must say all the little touches are lovely and added to the trip. On the way over I’d wished I’d brought binoculars and low and behold. The postcards of pobty is such a special idea! Couldn’t recommend enough!

    Becky2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived the same day as storm Dennis and i was worried id be cold but with under floor heating and the log burner we were toastie warm, location is amazing, we spent most evenings just watching the tide and then there is a lovley stretch of beach 2 min walk away for the dog to have a run. Cottage was immaculately clean and kitchen well stocked. Lovley place to switch off, were already planning on going back in the summer.

    Joanne2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • My third visit to Pobty cottage, with my dog, Hettie. This time for rest, relaxation and some sea therapy. Red Wharf Bay (Traeth Coch) is a magical place and Pobty cottage is very special and stylish!. It was bliss sitting by the woodburning stove, watching the sea rolling right in and out again and skipe, egrets, redshanks and a long-billed curlew wading for worms in the shallows. Great walking round on the coastal path. Thanks again,Maggs, for a lovely warm welcome xx

  • Yvonne has been a great host. Her place is placed in an incredible little village on the coast, the beach is 5’ away. I was in the single room and it was perfectly comfortable for a 1-night stay. There are other 2 rooms for couples and the bathroom is shared. Once again, no issues whatsoever. And cherry on the cake, Yvonne prepared an amazing English breakfast in the morning for the perfect start of a new day. Thank you Yvonne, it’s been great to stay at your place!

  • Yvonne is a naturally excellent host who made my stay relaxed, friendly and very comfortable. Don't be put off by the shared bathroom facilities - everything worked out fine among the guests. I used Yvonne's place as a base to cycle round the island. Ideal location for that. Local facilities - pub, fish shop - and the gentle hospitality I found everywhere, all made for a great trip. Highly recommended.

  • A cracking little space, very charming, clever, all you need for a wicked few days away, all within walking distance. Gods stuff all round.

  • From the moment we booked, Louise was quick to communicate with us, giving directions and instructions to a seamless check-in. The Shepherds Hut, Cassie is situated next to another Shepherds Hut, Rosie within the grounds of where Louise lives. We never actually met Louise, and appreciated the privacy but we knew we could contact her should we need anything at all. Cassie has everything you need for a pleasant stay and the space has been utilised well with premium appliances - a comfortable bed, seating, T.V, built in Bluetooth speakers, Kitchenette and shower/W.C. We especially enjoyed keeping warm and cosy by the log burner! The seaview out of the bedside window in the morning was lovely to wake up to also. The location is great for beach lovers, it’s less than 10 minutes walk away. There are also some great little places to eat/takeaway and buy groceries from within walking distance too - Golden Fryer is a fantastic chippy, Bay View Cafe for tea/coffee and cake with a view, and The Ship Inn and Boat House in Red Wharf Bay do delicious food! My Husband and I thoroughly enjoyed 4 nights here and will not hesitate to return in future.

  • This is just such a lovely place to stay. The huts are nestled in a small field about 25 /30 metres from the residence. The two huts are set back from the main road and is incredibly quiet and peaceful. The huts are so beautifully decorated, spotless, warm in winter, everything you need for a short stay (except a coffee plunger/cafetiere - we are coffee addicts so always bring one when we go away!) with thoughtful, gorgeous, touches: chocolates, wine, tea & coffee, milk, cosy blankets, fluffy towels. It takes less than 5 minutes to walk to shops/pub/fish & chips/cafe (all great) and less than 10 min walk to the stunning beach. We loved our stay and can guarantee you will too!

    Dawn2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little place. Shepherds hut was perfect for us. Great that it was dog friendly too. Very clean and cosy. Had everything we needed. The extra touches were lovely. In a great location and was really quiet at night. Not far from a pub or the beach etc. Louise the host was lovely. Very welcoming and helpful. We had a great weekend. Thank you Louise

    Sarah2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Cassies Shepards hut was a lovely space to stay in for our weekend in Anglesey, everything you might need in space big enough for two. Much bigger on the inside than it looks, a very comfortable luxurious stay!

    Charlotte2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space, excellent location. Louise was very communicative and quick to respond to any queries we had. The water was lovely and hot for showers and the decor in the shepherds hut was very tasteful. We loved our stay and even found the bed luxurious! We will most definitely be coming back again. We can recommend the beachcomber for tapas, very delicious :) . Thank you for a wonderful bank holiday weekend. Victoria and Andrew

    Victoria2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect stay in every way. The hut was wonderful, everything was there, all thoughtfully considered from condiments, cleaning products, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, lovely bottle of wine and toiletry products. Immaculate hut, great location and Louise was on hand if we needed anything. Fully recommended.

  • Carrol was an excellent host, very prompt with communication, and was generous to give us extra time at check out. We felt welcomed to the cottage ; she had left us some welsh cakes and Bara brith, which we enjoyed. The cottage itself was lovely. The photos are good but it looks even better in reality. It’s a real haven and very comfortable. I am sure we will return when we come to Wales again.

  • This place is a fantastic one if you want quiet, comfort and space. This is a beautiful cottage so close to many beaches and walking trails. We loved it from start to finish. Cooking there is easy but be sure to shop beforehand as the corner shop was rather limited. It was a very cosy stay in a very stylish, beautifully restored cottage. The owners were very welcoming and there is plenty of information on hand to read up on places to visit. Ideally situated in a fabulous area of Anglesey. Get thee hence!

  • A fabulous first Airbnb stay. The flat is lovely and only minutes from the beach and access to the Anglesey Coastal Path. Clare was great, with good communication beforehand and clear instructions for check in and in the flat. There’s also lots of guidance on walks, attractions etc. The kitchen had everything I needed, and the Smart TV and decent broadband were most welcome for a winter visit as it was dark at 4pm. All in all a perfect introduction to Airbnb. Thanks Clare, I’ll definitely be back.

Couldn't have felt more welcomed onto their beautiful land. The container itself was spotless and decorated perfectly. There were more than just the basics provided, which you often don't get in AirBnBs! We loved tending to the fire each night and having a wonderfully wholesome time. We will definitely be back!

  • It’s nice and peaceful place to stay. You can enjoy perfect sunrise and sunset. It’s near to the beach and you can easily walk to the seaside. The only thing is that it’s a little bit cold during the morning and nighttime. So just bring something to keep yourself warm .

  • Just spent 5 days at Catherine & Eifion's caravan with a 6 year old and a 3 year old. We all loved the stay. The caravan is in a lovely rural location close to beaches and tourist towns. The caravan was very well equipped, spotlessly clean and their were lovely views from the caravan and its veranda.

    Geoff2019-08-30T00:00:00Z

  • We had a lovely relaxing stay at this caravan. It wasbigger and more spacious than we expected. The beds were comfortable. It was very clean. Great views over red wharf bay. The ship inn bar and boat house restaurant were a 20 minute scenic walk around the bay. Catherine and Eifon were very helpful.

    Sarah2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic views from the caravan and Catherine and Eifion are great hosts, really quick replies and simple check in and out. All very clean and welcoming - we had a fabulous 1st family holiday in Angelsey!

  • The accommodation is tidy and spotless. Kitchen fully equipped. Bed comfortable, living area spacious. My partner and I were very happy with what we had booked. The site is small (only three other static vans) it is oh so peaceful, only noise is the cows and birds, which is exactly what we wanted. The views from our van were amazing, beautiful sunrise and sunset The village pub you can walk to. If you want to get away from the hectic life we lead then I highly recommend Catherine and Eifions place. A great place to relax

  • This little house is perfect for a comfortable break. Everything is well planned out and there’s all you need to cook a meal if you want to, or if you don’t... there’s a great shopping area just 5 minutes down the road with a Tesco and takeaways and probably the best fish and chip shop in the world. The sofa is amazingly comfortable and we really appreciated it for watching the athletics this weekend! The house was spotlessly clean when we arrived, all bed linen and towels provided and hot water and heating readily available. Lovely hosts, friendly and helpful with local knowledge. A ten minute walk to Benllech beach and the lovely cafe on the beach. A perfect get-away and highly recommended.

  • A comfortable cottage ideally suited to accommodating 4 people, Derek and Sue are on site and easily contacted should the need arise. We would certainly return again.

Sleeps 2 guests situated on a friendly working farm and small caravan site with amazing sea views. Within walking distance to a private sandy beach and local amenities. The location is ideal for lovers of the coast and nature. Cosy and warm – it is a snuggly delight!
Light the log burner, relax then snuggle up in to a cosy double bed with electric blanket. Table and chairs. Kettle with crockery and all basic essentials. BBQ area outside. Fantastic views of the ships in the bay and beautiful sunsets.
  • Lovely little pod with everything you would need for a short stay. Cosy with a plug in radiator and comfortable bed. Bathroom/toilet is a very short walk behind the pod and very clean. Just under 30 minute walk into Benllech so good location.

    Sophie2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Sue’s pod was absolutely lovely! We arrived later than expected, but Sue was so lovely about it and really welcoming. She’s even left biscuits, wine and milk ready for us. The pod itself was really cosy and homely. We purchased a couple of logs beforehand and it soon turned into a sauna. The location is also great, and it barely a 5 minute walk to a lovely beach! Would happily recommend!

    Lauren2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful cosy wooden pod, fantastic location, Sue is such a lovely host, and the treats she left for us were an extra special touch. Thank you so much Sue x

    Paul2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Sue is a fantastic host. She was very helpful and provided lots of nice touches. The area is fantastic and very close to a beautiful beach.

    Richard2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Sue was really friendly and helpful. The welcome gift of wine, milk and biscuits was a really nice touch and gratefully received. The pod and the bathroom are clearly well looked after and spotlessly clean. A gorgeous beach is a short walk away - the whole area is stunning. I would definitely stay here again.

    Lisa2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful pod...everything you need, from a fridge..kettle..little oven...and those special touches wine & treats....perfect location. Great bathroom for our use only just behind the pod....Thank you Susan for the best few nights xx

    Steven2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely pod. Bigger than the pictures suggest. With everything you possible need for a relaxing weekend! The beach is a few minutes away and it’s stunning.

    Vicky2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had the best little holiday, Sue was really welcoming and friendly, she’d left a bottle of wine, flapjacks, biscuits and everything needed to make a cuppa after our journey. The pod is comfortable, clean and has everything needed for a cosy getaway. The little bathroom at the back of the pod is more than adequate. There’s a 5 minute walk to a lovely beach, we swam and sunbathed and just relaxed, even in the summer holidays it was quiet and peaceful. Anglesey is beautiful, we saw dolphins, seals, hundreds of butterflies, we ate good food in little cafes and walked for miles. We can’t wait to go back and will definitely be using Sue’s lovely pod again.

  • Fantastic place in the countryside. Jan and Mike were fantastic hosts who go above and beyond for their guests -- they were even kind enough to do our laundry for us! Beautiful room with all the amenities you would need for a short stay. Bed was wonderfully big and comfortable, as well. Would stay again!

    Natalie2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely big and bright room with lovely open views. I liked how the little kitchenette area was arranged: kettle, microwave, sink, cutlery and crockery. Also appreciated the use of buckets for waste rather than plastic bags. The bed was amazingly comfortable. Lovely position for exploring the north of Anglesey. Jan was brilliantly flexible regarding my check in time and that really did make a huge difference to my stay. Thanks Jan! Lovely to chat to Mike at check out time, too. Looking forward to returning.

Snug, self contained, open plan detached studio for two on the edge of woodland pastures. Beach and Anglesey coastal path 10 minutes on foot. Twin beds; well equipped microwave kitchenette with toaster. En-suite shower/toilet/basin. Free-viewTelevision. Free Wi-fi. Well heated. Patio seating area outside front door. Red squirrels visit garden almost daily. Sorry, no smoking, vaping or pets. Free off-road parking.
Benllech is a rural seaside village but with Tesco and Coop super markets. Many walks all around through fields and woods from the door. Extensive Blue Flag beach just 10 minutes walk from the door as is the stunning 125 miles coastal path. Access the whole of Anglesey island in 30+ minutes by car. Good bus service.
Bistros and Cafes along the sea front. Surgery and pharmacy in the village with ATMs, super markets, local shops, takeaways, eateries and pubs. Hairdressers, angling shop, fresh fish/ shellfish shop, butchers and place of worship. The beach is excellent for swimming, sunning, kayaking, paddle boarding or relaxing with a coffee or an ice-cream. The whole area is terrific for sea, game and coarse fishing; walking, swimming, scuba, boating, surfing, kayaking, biking, riding, golf, painting, photography and wild life watching in general, with small whale species - dolphins porpoise and seals. Many seabirds can, in season, be viewed cliff nesting or hunting close to the shore. Amazing birding.
  • A clean, tidy, warm and cosy little place. It had everything we needed. Brian is very friendly and welcoming. Easy access into Benllech and lovely sandy beach. The red squirrel made an appearance which was an added bonus. Very good value for money.

    Andy2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Brians place is a well converted garage, which at first may seem odd but the positives outway the negatives. It is a great idea for giving both the guest and the host privacy which wouldn't be the case staying in someone's house. It is newly converted and fresh and very clean, the en suite shower room and toilet is very good and Brian lets you park on the drive which is a nice touch. The only downside is the space for eating in but don't let this put you off as its doable and the other positives outweigh it.

Everything was spotlessly clean, well organised, warm and calm and it instantly felt like home. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need and the basket of bread, eggs and bara brith was absolutely delicious. Mike and Gudrun are such welcoming hosts who go the extra mile. A welcoming home from home Tain y Coed cottage offers all that a holiday maker could want. Fully equipped for five people. Spacious and light with fantastic views over open countryside. Easy to reach all the beaches, bustling town, quiet hideaways and ancient monuments and castles
Tain Y Coed Farm Cottage is less than five miles from the Britannia Bridge and located on the A5025 which allows for easy access to the resort of Benllech about 6 miles away and easy drives to the towns of Llangefni, Holyhead, the A55 expressway and the mainland. Menai Bridge, just a 4 mile drive away, is a bustling town situated on the edge of the famous Menai Strait. The town is a popular destination for mooring and has facilities for launching boats. Menai Bridge is a great place to shop having a wide variety of independent shops, taverns and restaurants and is situated on the tourist route for the historic town of Beaumaris. This side of Anglesey has many fine beaches providing ample opportunities to enjoy sailing and water sports not to mention the fabulous coastline which boasts over 120 miles of footpaths. Picturesque Red Wharf Bay can be reached easily by car is about 3-4 miles. This beautiful wide sandy bay overlooking Liverpool Bay is perfect for walks and horses can often be seen being exercised on the beach. There is a bus stop at the end of the drive for journeys to Bangor, Menai bridge and Holyhead. Pentraeth village (Its Welsh name means at the end of (or head of) a beach, and it is located near Traeth Coch (Red Wharf Bay). is about a mile away. There is a small river, Afon Nodwydd which runs through it. There is one shop and two pubs. St Mary's Church is the village church. The date of construction is unknown, but is probably from some time between the 12th to 14th centuries. Some medieval stonework remains in three walls of the building. A chapel was added to the south side in the 16th or 17th century, and the church was altered and refurbished during the 19th century. The church is still in use, as part of the Church in Wales, and is one of five churches in a combined parish. It is a Grade II listed building, a designation given to "buildings of special interest, which warrant every effort being made to preserve them",in particular because of the retention of medieval fabric in a predominately 19th-century building, and its "fine" memorials.
Peace and quiet yet easy to reach tourist areas

  • What a beautiful place. Sparkling clean, was a real pleasure to stay here. Would love to return. If you’ve got kids bring a DVD player if that’s their thing or plenty of data on your phone.. that is my only slight downside but on the whole a fantastic holiday. Thanks Keith x

    Kristina2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • A really great cottage with an absolutely spectacular view. Perfect for kids to run around in, both inside and out. Located close to the main road so great for getting out and about on the island but set back so you don’t hear any of the traffic and the kids are completely safe. The WiFi doesn’t really work so if you have teenagers who will be horrified with no Internet maybe not the place for you. But if you want spectacular views, lovely big rooms and a great location then this is the place for you.

    Naomi2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely holiday being the first time we went away with our infant daughter. The cottage was perfect with stunning views, peaceful area and our daughter loved to roam this child friendly cottage. It was just fantastic and cant recommend it enough.
