This classic rustic home is newly renovated and is situated in the heart of the quaint little town of Goldendale, Washington. Explore all the fun shops on Main Street because this home is conveniently located within walking distance. One of the grocery stores is located just around the corner for your convenience with a cute little coffee shop in the store parking lot! We have a game room with foosball, 30 DVD's in the TV cabinet & Wi-Fi.
This home is done up in a theme that will make you feel like you are cozy and right at home. Sip tea, coffee, or hot cocoa on the couch surrounded by original natural wood floors and accents yet modern amenities.
Quiet neighborhood with houses on either side. A family of deer frequent the white house just across the street. You may find them laying down under the trees in the morning. You can enjoy them from the kitchen window or when you drive by.
  • This is the cutest place ever. I love the homey touches and the accommodations. Anson is excellent at communicating. My colleagues and I stay here for a “meet in the middle” work group. We love the house.

  • Such a great little place! Very cozy and clean. Located near everything in the center of town. Quite street with very little noise. The host was so accommodating and replied very quickly when I had a question. It was such a fun trip and staying at this cozy home made it even better!!

    Rachel2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Anson's place. The location is a perfect jumping off point to explore the Gorge, and we enjoyed the Klickitat Rails Trail along the Klickitat River. The game room and all the kid-friendly touches at the house were a wonderful surprise! Our toddler enjoyed her stay, and we felt good knowing she was safe and welcome in the home. Cute decorations and very clean. Definitely recommend!

  • Nice and quiet stay right next to a local grocery store. Stayed for work and would recommend to any other guests

    Jonathan2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Everything is exactly as described. This little house is clean and cozy. Having coffee available for the coffee maker on our recent stay was a nice touch.

  • Great place and convenient location right in Goldendale. The Airbnb is in the middle of town right next to the grocery store. Perfect for getting food for your stay. The rooms were all clean and slept comfortably. Kitchen has all the pans and materials needed for you to cook if you choose to do so. Overall, the host was excellent! Keypad door so easy check in/check out.

  • Great hosts. Everything we needed was accessible to us! Thanks again!!

  • A great space, in a quiet spot just off the Main Street. Cute layout and very family friendly (even ha a French press ;). Foosball and game room were a big hit with the kids and made it seem bigger than expected. Highly recommend this cute clean two bedroom!

Nestled in the pristine nature of Swale Canyon our a-frame offers a tranquil getaway. Whether you need some quiet time to reflect, write and ponder nature's beauty or you need a place to lay your head after an active day on the Klickitat River or hiking the Klickitat Trail or hunting in the wilderness, our cabin awaits you. No other buildings or residences in sight, you will have true privacy to relax and unwind.
Our a-frame cottage is a work of love that we hope you will enjoy. Many hands have worked on this project. Practically all of the materials have been reclaimed. The entire cottage is fed by a year-round artesian spring. Power is provided by solar. You can lounge by the creek or hike the two miles of private trails here or the hundreds of acres of public land abutting our property or cross the creek and find yourself on the many miles of the Klickitat Trail. The primary residence is located nearly a 1/4 mile from your lodging. We are available if you walk up the hill or by walkie-talkie (no phone coverage here!).
  • I went with four of my friends for a weekend for my birthday, and we had an amazing time. The cabin was clean and stayed warm even when it dropped below freezing outside, and the view was gorgeous- there’s a stream right by the patio that I loved to sit by in the morning. Nitushi (the farm dog) is very sweet and came down to visit. It might seem a little intimidating to be so off grid- no wifi, one outlet, a compost toilet- but Scott was very helpful in explaining how to work everything, and responded quickly on the walkie talkie if we had any issues

    Marie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect and unique.

    Hannah2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and serene spot off the grid! Carrie and Scott were incredibly accommodating and friendly. The solar-powered cabin was comfortable and well-equipped. I liked the composting toilet idea, it worked very well. Scott had good suggestions for places to explore, which we enjoyed in the company of their sweet dog Nitoshi. She was the cherry on top. Highly recommended!

    Danny2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • A great experience to get away from the business and stress of life and be able to relax in such a beautifuk, secluded area. Pretty hikes, fun exploring the surrounding areas, and a very cute and cozy cabin can be expected!

    Max2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Carrie and Scott's cabin was everything we could want and more. They went above and beyond to assure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I would visit again in a heartbeat. We spent our days relaxing and wish we had more time to hike around. We appreciated the barbeque outside, it was fun to sit out and listen to the crickets while we cooked our dinner. The bed at night was comfortable and we loved being able to listen to the creek while we fell asleep. The area is beautiful and we had no issues at all getting to the cabin.

    Brindy2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic out of the way cabin that is deep in a canyon providing both the convenience of nice accommodations but also very secluded. A rare find. I especially enjoyed the little creek out front and the access to the hiking trails.

    John2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • A unique experience for us and the grandkids.

    Ron2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful to go to sleep to the sound of crickets, frogs and a bubbling creek. Hosts extended themselves, to see to it we had a good time.

  • Jeff & Ann are superhosts! Their communication is prompt, and accurate. The space is very clean and tidy, with many thoughtful extras that go beyond basics. I’d venture a guess that the space dates to the early 1980s, and in this case that’s a good thing with vaulted ceilings and windows that nearly reach floor to ceiling. The whole space is very well maintained, comfortable and quiet. If you’re staying in the Goldendale area, skip the iffy motels. Jeff and Ann will make you feel like you’re visiting old friends.

    Ron2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. Great hosts. And fun to walk around the neighborhood and get a feel for rural Goldendale.

    John2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • It's such a lovely place and nice stay here. The house and the scenery around are really superb. Jeff and Ann are supper kind, warmhearted and generous. And thank you so much for your gift, we like it very much, and really appreciate it. Goldendale is such an amazing place. Mount hood and mount Adams greeted us every day. The starry starry night never failed to fascinate us all these days. The historic houses in the downtown, the golden and endless grassland, the gorgeous Columbia river gorge..... Seven days is really not enough to explore around the Goldendale. Hope next time we can spend more time here. Thank you so much for your hospitality and see you next time.

  • Little out of town but worth it. Beautiful environment and home with very gracious hosts! If we go to goldendale we will be aiming to stay here again!

    Lizzie2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • At this B&B you can expect to be treated as if you are family. Jeff and Ann gave us accomodations at an excellent price for roughly 4 months with barely any advance notice. Everything you can possibly need is in the apartment. It's clean, comfortable, and in a peaceful environment. They are fun people and good friends!

  • This was a super fun “game room” crash pad with unexpected art, and snacky treats. We enjoyed playing pool and darts as well as the dinner recommendation that Felicia made. We also enjoyed walking around town in the evening. Very safe location. The front of the building now has the word ”Toss” on it, if you’re wondering if you found it!

  • My stay at Bonne and Roger’s place reminded me of what Airbnb can be at its best: a comfortable and homey yet private space, friendly hosts, and so many thoughtful touches — from the brochures on local sights to the kitchen amenities to the home-baked cookies. Highly recommended.

    Caroline2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

  • Beautiful, super clean and comfortable home! Great location, convenient to town but not noisy or crowded feeling. Home is nicely appointed, we had everything we needed! Great place! Wylesha is a thoughtful host and was great when we asked for an extended check out time. She was easy to get ahold of, replied quickly and was great to work with.

  • Whlesha was a dream host. I have an odd schedule and she was easy to work with, quickly communicated and worked with me the whole way. The house was spotless, quiet and in a lovely neighborhood. Clean crisp linens, soft towels and thoughtful touches like shampoo and conditioner. Thick curtains provided privacy and a dark room for me to sleep in during the day as a night shift worker. My only regret is I didn’t book all the nights I needed for future travel work. Wylesha went out of her way to help me find other accommodations. This is a gem, best stay I’ve had in a long time.

  • I used to stay in this house while doing contract work in town, was an Airbnb back then but with a different owner. Plenty of the other guests back then were there for business, too, and it seems like this would still be a great location for responsibly minded working people. So, it was very nice to return for a night as I was passing through town on a pleasure trip. I enjoyed my stay. It’s a very nice, big, clean home, comfortable and very quiet. The main metric for me is how I sleep, and I slept fine. Bathrooms are number two and the one I used was very clean. Kitchen is available as are a washer/dryer. Owners do not live on site but communication was seamless. Definitely recommend, esp for extended stays for people working at the hospital and such.

This beautiful cabin is set by itself in the arm of a bend in the Klickitat River. The sunlight streams in during the day, and no lights intrude at night, making an incomparable star scene, as viewed from the rooftop deck. It's cozy and warm, with a woodstove to keep you company on a chilly night.
Welcome to the beautiful Klickitat River valley, in the heart of canyon country. Nestled between several facets of the Klickitat River's winding walls, you'll feel safe n' snug while away on the river; the mighty gorge winds barely nudge us up here (most days!) We are situated just four miles from highway 14 in Lyle (off easily navigable highway 142), so although there's a bit of an "away from it all" feel while here, you're close to the Columbia River gorge for all manner of activities, as well as a launching pad for Mt. Adams up north, and Mt. Hood down south. Hood River, White Salmon, Bingen, the Dalles..all within a twenty minute drive in whatever direction you choose. Hiking, sailing, kite-boarding and windsurfing, mountain climbing and cycling, fly fishing and kayaking, all these activities and many more abound in the area, and we are just beyond the fabled "rain shadow", so your assurance of sunny weather is more predictable than west of the Cascades (we receive around half the rainfall of Portland). It can get quite warm in late summer in the east gorge, yet this little corner of the river bend is shady and cool. This lovely, freestanding cabin is 384 square feet, fully self-contained, and is very comfortable for either a weekend stay or longer (it is behind the dwelling the landlord resides in). There is a rooftop deck, with overhead lights and a gas grill for your pleasure. It's an informal setting around here, with plenty of space outside to stow fishing poles, windsurfing gear, etc. New queen-size bed (with memory-foam topper), gas oven and stove, window coverings (blinds), well-water pump outside, lots of parking on gravel drive, and a newly-installed air conditioning unit are the general amenities here at the cabin. There are modern conveniences like: microwave oven/coffee machine/television etc, so it's more than a rustic getaway, and the wood stove will heat the space efficiently, and in quick order.
This is a safe, private community of just a few homes. We pride ourselves on having a neighborhood feel in the midst of the Klickitat River canyon.
  • Excellent, friendly communication. Easy to find. Very clean. Great wood burning stove. Wifi worked well. Loved the farm fresh eggs, and proximity to the Klickitat river trail. Great if you are looking for a little place close to natural attractions. Just be aware that the main house is less than 50 feet away and obscures most of the airbnb view.

  • Roberta and Erik were great hosts. Quick to respond and helpful. The ADU rental space is as advertised and is a perfect launching point for local outdoorsy activities or for laying low and relaxing. Also, Autumn is an amazing time of year to be in this predominantly Oak forest. We hope to be back!

  • What a perfect place for a peaceful getaway! The cabin is set in a beautiful spot above the gorgeous Klickitat River, with tons of phenomenal hiking nearby. The house itself is so clean, open, and cozy. We loved cooking and eating by the woodstove. The roof deck looked fantastic - we hope to return in warmer months to take advantage of that space too. Eric was a fantastic host, inviting and generous. Thanks so much!

    Noel2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for a single person or couple’s getaway! We loved the location and being so close to many amazing Fall hikes and outdoorsy things to do. Farm fresh eggs were a treat (thank you, Eric!) and we appreciated all the hiking and local info our hosts provided. The cabin is comfortable and has all the things you really need. The rooftop seating area is delightful (maybe just clean off the chairs?) and listening to the river while sitting there, sipping wine, was a favorite pastime for us :)

    Hillary2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • This little cabin has everything you need for a relaxing and restful escape. Fall asleep to the soothing sounds of the river and wake up with a cup of coffee on the deck. A great home base for exploring nearby hiking trails and wineries, as well as a cozy place to read a pile of books. We’ll be back!

Completely renovated in 2018, Carroll House at Cherry Hill Farm now looks forward to hosting guests as it begins this new chapter in this beautiful valley.
Carroll House at Cherry Hill Farm is set amongst the cherry orchards of the Mosier Valley. The property has dramatic views across the river to Washington and the Syncline. While the property is only a short two mile drive outside Mosier city limits, it feels much more secluded.
  • Cant say enough good things about this place. Carroll House is set in a beautiful location. It is clean, so well decorated and stocked with everything you need to have a great get away. You wont be disappointed. We will definitely be coming back to this wonderful spot.

  • We had such a wonderful stay. It was clean, spacious, and well equipped for our stay. We loved how much thought was put into this beautiful home, including hangers small enough for our child's coat, a cute little barn toy for her to play with and fresh cut rosemary on the kitchen windowsill. We will absolutely be back.

  • This tiny, but spacious cottage is adorable and the owners have excellent taste in decor. Our trip was a quick getaway for 3 busy moms. We all found the place comfortable and felt very safe. The property is about 8 miles to Hood River, but the drive simple and beautiful. We plan to come back. Thank you for your hospitality!

Charming historic home built in 1900. The prefect place to stay while you tour the wineries and wonders of the east Columbia Gorge.

There is A grocery/liquor store (open 8am- 6pm Mon-Sat, 10am-2 pm Sunday), and post office - both are within a couple of blocks of out house.
  • Lisa and Dave are very friendly hosts and lovely people. You can’t find a better place to stay in this area.

  • Very happy to have found this beautiful relaxing B&B in Wasco & look forward to returning next time I get to visit with my friend from high school. I used to stay 10 miles away in Biggs so not having that drive is great.

  • Charming and clean, the B&B was a delight. Dave was an excellent host.

We appreciated suggestions for food and local offerings such as wine tasting and river access. Lovely breakfast included. They’re very easy to communicate with. Convenient location for our needs. Wonderful experience, I would definitely stay with them again.

It boasts 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a dining room, kitchen, living room, seating area with desk (and free wifi), reading nook, and lots of outdoor space to explore.
This 450 acre property is only 4 miles outside of downtown The Dalles but feels like you're in old Europe. Serving as a dairy farm that was operated between the Twenties and Forties, it is now a well known site for growing vineyards, and provides wine storage for our winery.

  • Wonderful little cottage!!

  • We loved our stay in Gail's cottage. Super comfortable, and set-up perfectly. Gail allowed us to bring our two elderly cats, which made it possible for us to get away. During our first night, one of the cat's illness became much worse, and we had to return home a day early. Gail generously refunded us for the night we couldn't stay. Talk about going above and beyond! I hope we get a chance to come back for a longer stay soon.

  • I came to Goldendale to visit Maryhill loops road. I spent all day on the hill. At the end of the day I was exhausted and needed a clean comfortable bed. I got that and more. Kitchen had everything I needed same with bathroom. Drive slowly through the neighborhood. Deer cross the street like children on their way to school.

Generous, gorgeously designed stand-alone studio adjacent to main house. Quiet and private, hidden at the end of the road, surrounded by nature and the sweet sounds of Mill Creek (no creek access).
It's the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate, yet easy to get downtown or to nature and outdoor activities within minutes.
This location is unique - it is the city yet quiet, private, and with creekside beauty.

  • Needed to leave my routine for a couple days’ reflective time in a peaceful place. This room and its setting couldn’t have been better. Great thought and care have gone into making it both simple and complete. Highest recommendation.

  • The cottage was so darling with almost an eclectic European feel to it. It was very clean, April had eggs, bagels, coffee creamer, coffee, and all the necessities for us to make food! It was warm and cozy, perfect for a weekend getaway! The space also had a nice desk and work space available. It was a quick drive to old town that had so many neat spots for food& shopping. Almost every building was historic looking and preserved. We really loved the cottage and really loved the town!

    Hannah2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really nice stay. We haven’t met the owners but the cabin was wonderful.

    Martin2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • So cozy and perfect. April’s cottage had everything we needed and was so charming and quiet. I love the detail that went into making the space feel like home. Would definitely recommend.

    Tiffany2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • An attractive, bright space, with lots of space. Feels a little like someone just left so you could stay which feels a bit odd. Host is great with communication though and seems to be working on resolving the wifi issue. And with a full and stocked kitchen and an excellent shower it's still very worth booking.

  • Cynthia’s Airbnb is even better in person than we could have expected. The view of Mt Adams from the dining nook is unbeatable and we chose to stay in for our meals so we could sit and enjoy the view. The bed is comfy and the space is very warm and cozy. Collecting fresh eggs for breakfast was such a treat! Cynthia was really kind and great with communication though we never had the chance to meet in person! The location is close to pretty much everything! We will definitely be back

You are invited to stay in a Klickitat County landmark, listed on both the state and federal registers of historic places. The Red House built for the ‘Horse King of the Northwest’ Charles Newell and his wife Mary in 1890, is now a distinctive vacation rental. The Red House’s three stories are furnished with art, antique/vintage finds, colored glass windows, original ornamental trim, fresh linens and comfortable beds. The house is well equipped and designed for relaxing.
The Red House is steeped in history and local lore. On the dining room side table, you will find a red binder that gets you up to speed on the house’s past. As you spend time in its rooms, my hope is that the house and its furnishing bring to mind a long held cherished family retreat. From the high Victorian front porch, thru the large 5 paneled front door, the entryway with its 10-foot ceilings and stained glass windows give you a good idea of what awaits. You can access the winding narrow stairs to the upper stories, or enter the formal living and dining room with their large matching brass light fixtures. The colorful upholstered vintage velvet chairs and couch pick up the stained-glass panes of the windows, and are a great place to sit and discuss the day, take tea or simply soak in the house's ambiance. The oval antique dining table and chairs can seat 8 comfortably (additional leaves are located in the 1st floor bedroom closet). Off these rooms is the bathroom. The small marble topped vanity with chrome inspired Victorian taps and claw foot tub with shower head are surrounded by multicolored tiles that defy description. I have grown fond of these tiles, but I must be honest it was not love at first sight. What changed? Without my glasses, they form a nice tartan plaid. The first-floor bedroom contains a double bed from Europe. This sleigh bed with inlaid wood on the headboard and footboard faces 3 brightly stained glass windows overlooking the iris and peony garden. The 2 slight faux bamboo antique chairs used as bedside tables, are from a Yale University ballroom, so I've been told. Originally this room was the dining room. The heart of this historic house, the sunny farmhouse kitchen has seen many a home cooked meal. Sit a spell and have a cup of coffee and plan your next delicious meal. You will find the kitchen has what you need. The apron sink, microwave, and gas stove are recent additions. Laundry/mud room is to the right. Placed In front of the window is a burgundy velvet settee that has been in the house for decades. Off the kitchen is the fireplace room. The cathedral ceiling, pole rafters, large rock fireplace and locally salvaged board and batten siding and ancient hand hewn beams give the room a lodge look and feeling, very different from the rest of the house. Roku TV and board games are here. On the walls are several art pieces depicting The Red House. Next to the fireplace is a photo from the 20's or 30's showing the long gone service portions of the house. From the back yard, looking at the house a friend mentioned she now knows how the old lady in the shoe felt living in a shoe. I had to laugh. The main part of the house, tall and narrow, the fireplace room and kitchen, low slung, I saw her point, a gigantic shoe. Going back to the front hall, 2 double sash windows with colored glass cast a medieval glow over the stairs. On the second floor are 3 bedrooms. To the left is the ‘horse bedroom’, so named for all the horse artwork. The Red House brush and ink drawing is a gift from my talented friend in a shoe. The double size iron bed is from my grandparent’s farmhouse outside of Goldendale. The next bedroom forms a suite; the bigger bedroom houses landscape paintings, a Victorian sunflower emblem double bed and matching marble topped vanity that's kept company with the laundry room settee. The smaller adjoining bedroom room contains a single sized day bed, large European armoire and vintage children’s picture books that I picked up at the Goldendale Library book sales for their vintage illustrations. The room is very cozy and sunlit. On to the 3rd floor attic suite. High above the surrounding neighborhood, these 2 rooms offers a private sitting room, Roku TV and queen-sized bed. The attic’s shiplap walls, odd ceiling angles, vintage suitcases, and wood picnic baskets harken to the rooms former use a trunk room and the help’s space. The Red House is like a time machine with modern amenities. For me the house brings back forgotten memories while creating new ones, I hope this is true for you too.
The neighborhood around The Red house is laid back and friendly. Take a walk to Goldendale's small downtown and chances are folks will say hi. Holcomb's Supermarket is several blocks away. Antiquing at Chloe's, is rewarding. Monkeyshines down the street is a gallery, studio, and small antique shop that is owned by Sandra. You will find vintage clothing, Sandra's mosaic sculptures that are treasures in themselves and antique art and dish-ware. Next door The Glass Onion is always a great meal. For me their clam chowder cannot be beat, but then thats probably true of everything they serve. The Town House can be counted on for hearty breakfasts and lunches. Gee's serves good burgers and old style Chinese food. For standard Mexican food there is Ayutlas Family Mexican Restaurant. In the warmer months the food truck Taqueria Veracruz serve perhaps more authentic Mexican food. There are several choices for pizza in Goldendale; The Glass Onion, Uncle Tony's, Pete's, and Papa John's. Further out in the little town of Klickitat is the funky Huntington's Steakhouse. I haven't been here, but several guest make it a point of dining here when they come to Goldendale. For coffee, friends of mine stick to the 3 coffee kiosk in town. The Goldendale Chamber of Commerce has a cornucopia of brochures for things to do and explore. They are open most weekday mornings to the early afternoon. The Chamber's web site has an up to date event calendar. Klickitat County has a number of wineries, Maryhill Winery (15 minutes away by car) is perhaps the best known, but Waving Tree in Maryhill is very good, and has the distinction of being founded by long time local. I also am fond of Cascade Cliffs. In season, the Maryhill Museum of Art and the Presby Museum are worth a peak for different reasons. The Klickitat trail, at Harm's Road off the Centerville Hgwy. out of Goldendale, has parking, 1 port a potty, and a small railroad trestle crossing over the Swale Creek, it's a nice start for a pleasant walk. The Columbia Hills State Park offers hiking and grand scenic beauty. The Goldendale Observatory and its maze of walking trails is just up the hill overlooking town. The Goldendale Farmers Market at Ekone Park is open on Saturdays, May to September. A road trip on highway 142 to the little town of Klickitat, and then to Lyle is a good way to get a lay of the land. This trip may be of interest to gardeners, as the little secret conifer and general plant nursery located at the bottom of the grade is one of my favorite places. To the east of Goldendale is the small Dandy Valley Farm and Nursery, they have a nice selection of veggie starts, fruit trees, shrubs, and annuals, you can tell they love their plants and what they do. If you want to get fancy, Good News Gardening and the Garden Cafe in Hood River is worth a jaunt.
  • Wow. The red house is absolutely AMAZING!!!! Jon is such a thoughtful host. The house was sparkling clean and had everything you needed. There were so many thoughtful touches. We recommend this house to anybody visiting Goldendale.

  • Jon’s home is so incredibly cute, charming, cozy and clean. We kept marveling on all of the interesting art and antique pieces. A true collection of American pieces. We loved the large but cozy home. There were even Christmas decorations and the kitchen had all you could need plus it was so clean! Would definitely recommend to all if you find yourself needing to stay near Goldendale!

  • What can I say about our stay at The Red House that hasn’t already been said? It was our third time? It is cleaner than any other Airbnb we’ve seen? We found everything we needed? The attention to detail? The fun historical facts? The absolutely marvelous decor? The stellar communication from Jon? Airbnb.........you need to base all of your rentals on this one!!!!

  • Had another great stay at Jon's home! He is so fast to answer all our questions and so accommodating. This home has everything you could possible need too! We just love this location for visiting our nearby family. It's in an amazing location to checkout Hood River and The Dalles too! This was our second stay at this home. The home is so cozy and stays so warm! We will defiantly be back the next time we come for a visit!

  • This house is incredible with so many touches and we would definitely come back in a heartbeat!

    Caitlin2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • This house was the perfect fit for a weekend getaway. The house is beautifully historic and there are lots of unique antique decorations that make the house feel like you have gone back in time. The steep stairs may be challenging for someone elderly or with limited mobility (it is a historic house after all), but there is a bedroom on the ground level, which worked great for my mother-in-law and father-in-law and the bathroom is on the ground level as well. The house was large and more than enough space! Jon was excellent at communicating and offered a seamless check-in process. There is great outdoor space for spending time during a warm evening or under the starts. We most of all enjoyed the fireplace room on the back of the house. Jon is a great host and we couldn't recommend the house enough!

  • A really beautiful property, and a fun yurt!

    Meredith2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Really cute place! The yurt could not have been more cozy and quaint! Shelley went out of her way to make us feel welcomed and our anniversary special! The public lands that surround this place are incredible! We went on a 6 mile hike without seeing a soul! The bathroom was SUPER cool but worth mentioning that it is a 50 ft. walk from the house. Not at all a deal breaker for us though! We will definitely be back!

    Becky2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This yurt was adorable and cozy, loved staying here!

    Jessica2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place! Quiet and cozy. Perfect for everyone of all ages. Very charming as well. Our daughter loved the pac man machine and we loved jammin' to the record player. Gorgeous view from the front porch. Great place to "unplug" the family.

    Amanda2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Truly a gem! If you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city then don't hesitate to book a spot in Yurt Haven. Shelley is awesome and was right there when we had slight issues with the propane. Can't wait to come back once I brush up on my Pac Man skills!

    Ryan2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Pac-Man! Wowza!

    William2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • DO NOT EVEN HESITATE, just book this place. My boyfriend and our two doggos stayed here for New Years Eve and it exceeded my expectations! This place has everything you need and more. The Pac-Man machine was so cool, theres a full kitchen, and the goats were so cute! The heater inside kept the place nice and toasty. The dogs had an amazing time running around. The fireplace outside was such a great touch. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks for the special memories!

Twin Oaks is an updated doublewide home perched on a basalt knoll with 11 beautiful acres overlooking vineyards and the Columbia River. Views include river and gorge to the west and north. In springtime see waterfalls on the Washington cliffs. Located 8 miles east of Hood River, Twin Oaks is near Mosier on scenic Hwy 30. This is in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge, with nearby hiking, biking, watersports, boat ramp, & ski areas. Enjoy the numerous wineries and local microbrews in the area.
Twin Oaks house is 1800 square feet, one-level, 3 bedroom, 2 bath. This is an 80's doublewide; but don't worry, shag carpet is gone and the wallpaper is painted over. We are gradually updating and improving it, and it's a very clean and comfortable space now. Let's call it an artsy cabin ambiance with touch of Ikea.
The setting is oak and pine prairie and meadow with basalt outcroppings. The landscape is natural, and we regularly see deer, turkey, coyote, redtail hawk, osprey vulture, bald eagle, and golden eagle. The bird feeders attract red and yellow finch, nuthatch, towhee, chickadee, western bluebird, redwing blackbird, western tanager, sparrow, and junco. Enjoy wildflowers April-May. Two nearby hikes provide more opportunities to connect to nature. Two wineries with tasting rooms are within walking distance.
  • This is an older, modest manufactured home on what might be one of the best properties in the gorge (certainly that I've ever been on). The views and property itself are breathtaking. We found it to be a very functional home, probably the most functional that I've ever stayed in. I found the value to be very high and would certainly recommend it to anyone who enjoys taking in the scenery of the gorge.

    Micah2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome! The price is fantastic compared to other places in the area. It was perfect for a small family gathering, including with small kiddos and a dog. The house isn’t fancy but had everything we needed, and the property and the view were outstanding. We will definitely stay here again!

    Kiel & Hazel2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great views of the Columbia River and a decent sized lot if you wanted to run around, although it is on a hill. Good value, with cool furniture. The house itself is older and could use some work getting baseboards in and fixing some unfinished parts of the house. With that said, it is a good house for an event, or get-together for adults.

  • Loved everything about this place. My husband and I wanted a place to unwind but that wasn’t too far away from nice bars and restaurants, if we decided to go out one night - and this house was that perfect place. We made a fire one night, were able to bring our puppy with us and the house had everything you need for a great stay. Mike and Laura were very quick to get back to me and gave us good tips for places and wineries to go to. Will be staying here again.

    Karla2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • The view was spectacular and the home was cozy. We played board games (so many to choose from!) in the evening and explored and hiked during the day. This was the perfect short getaway for us. The hosts were friendly and quick to respond to our messages and gave suggestions for places to visit while we were there. The beds were comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the living room made us wanna stay so much longer with views during the day and a great stereo and games or puzzles at night. I would definitely recommend staying here for the hospitality, views and cozy space.

    Stacey2019-12-21T00:00:00Z

Vacation home overlooking the Columbia River Gorge. Located in Wishram, a small railroad town. Trains are the biggest source of activity in Wishram. The view is wide open, the climate is quite dry, and the pace is laid back. There are two kayaks for guests to use.
This cabin is comfortable for two people or up to nine people. The upstairs sleeps six with three sleeping bays. The bays have walls on three sides and a heavy curtain in the front, so not totally private. Wake up, open up the curtains, and get blown away by the view!
Wishram is 15 minutes away from The Dalles, OR, where you can find grocery stores, restaurants, and most services you would need. There are no stores or restaurants in Wishram, so pick up some food items on your way. Maryhill Winery and Museum are just a few miles further east on Highway 14. Horsethief Lake State Park is 8 miles west of Wishram on Highway 14.
  • This home was perfect for a large group. Breathe taking views, great decor and lots of room! We hope to return soon! You will love it!

    Karlean2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a magical spot. Beautiful view, quiet, private, and serene. The well-equipped kitchen allowed us to cook all meals at home. The sauna and hot tub were super clean and easy to use. Great for a big group.

    Carla2020-02-09T00:00:00Z

  • Loved it here so much. The hot tub, and the sauna really make this location extremely relaxing. Nice deep kitchen sink, dishwasher, and plenty of cooking supplies. I recommend bringing a projector and a bed sheet for viewing experiences.

  • Really appreciated all the little amenities we found, simple things like creamer in the refrigerator or plenty of towels. Great stay and view!

  • This cabin is perfect for a weekend getaway for small groups. The space is cozy and the views are incredible. We especially loved the sauna and hot tub. Highly recommend!

    Hazel2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • This home feels like your home away from home. It just feels so cozy and bright. Every morning you wake up enjoying every aspect of the house from waking up in a comfy bed, to the views that make you want to get up and go, to the comfy couch to read in with a cup of tea, to the open kitchen and big table for a perfect family breakfast. If I designed my own house, I would want it to look just like this with the sun shining in and a sauna right in the house! The reading nook is my dream space. And a hot tub right under the stars. So close to the observatory, wineries, Maryhill Museum, Stonehenge, hiking trails, bouldering and not to mention the amazing view you don’t even have to work for. I can’t wait to stay here again!

Enjoy our luxurious rustic yurt in the Columbia River Gorge. Come to play in the Gorge and retire to your own private yurt surrounded by Nature in the scenic town of Mosier. Check in on week days has changed to 5:00 pm because I am usually teaching 7:00-3:30, weekends can be 3:00 arrival. Open to flexible scheduling via texting if possible.
The yurt is located about 100 feet from my house. Parking is in my drive, then walk behind my house to the yurt. 24 foot yurt in private location in scrub oak/ evergreen forest.
We are located about 10 miles from both Hood River and The Dalles. The town of Mosier is 4 miles from our location. The Columbia River Gorge has much to offer in the way of outdoor recreation, wine and beer tasting, dining, shopping and much more to explore.

  • We had such a relaxing time in this home! First, it was a snowy weekend and the owners had shoveled the driveway and salted the steps before we arrived, PLUS they left those tools on-hand so that we could help ourselves should we need them during the weekend. The home offered a stunning view of the gorge both east and west. The furnishings were very comfortable, modern and very nicely decorated and we would love to use the outside amenities in the warmer months. There was prompt communication from the owners and we really felt this was a perfect place to stay. We will be coming here again and again!

  • Shawn and Peggy have a beautiful home and now I understand why it's called 'Mountain view'. Wonderful scenic drive and right out the front door. Everything was perfect and clean. The host, Kristen was awesome and super helpful. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be sure to look them up again! Thanks again!

Cute corner house on a lot with a large fenced in yard. Great for pets, kids, families, and friends. Less than a mile from downtown The Dalles, with a convenience store around the corner, and a coffee shop less than a mile away. Come stay and explore the Gorge!
  • Wonderful quite neighborhood. Would recommend.

  • I have no idea how Will's place is, because of my ineptness, I booked it a week early, and didn't realize it until the afternoon I was supposed to be there. I'm giving high praise to Will, as he at least refunded me the cleaning deposit. Could have easily ignorred it, but he did not. That right there is what we call itergity. Thanks Will!!

    Chris2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This has been the second time I’ve stayed at William’s and it is was even better than the last stay. There was an upgrade of kitchen appliances that made it much easier to cook meals and store more food. William always has the house prepared clean and stocked for guests. Would highly recommend for anybody.

Located along a year-round creek, within walking distance of downtown, restaurants, and shopping, but feels like out in the country. Private entrance, well-equipped kitchen, large family room, bedroom (queen bed), bathroom w/shower, and cozy patio.
This apartment is the daylight basement of our home. It has a private entrance and is private from the rest of our home. It's large and roomy, and we've furnished it with comfortable country charm. Wood and tile floors throughout, except in the bedroom which is newly carpeted. The kitchen is equipped with dishes, cookware, several small appliances, cook top, microwave/convection oven, a refrigerator, and a few staples for cooking. There is no dishwasher, but paper plates can be used if you'd rather not wash dishes. The bedroom is large, and the queen bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is small, but functional, and you don't have to share it with anyone! The family room is large but cozy, and is equipped with a large-screen smart TV, with cable. Wi-fi is available. The futon sofa in the family room easily makes up into a full sized bed. There is also a queen-sized air mattress available. The yard is large and well-maintained, and the apartment has a brick patio from which to enjoy the scenery and the wildlife.
We do live near other homes, but the back of our property opens onto a very private setting, with lots of trees and wildlife, including bald eagles and many other birds, deer, raccoons, squirrels, and even the occasional fox.
  • Super friendly and clean. A very relaxing place to stay!

  • The place was super clean and so well thought out. Kitchen had all the basics and even had some breakfast items, coffee, spices, and baking goods. Debi was an excellent host and graciously allowed us to borrow her large oven to prepare some food for an event. Location was perfect. Very quiet. Highly recommend!

  • This place was perfect. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. It had everything we needed and nothing we didn’t. It felt so large and very functional. The hosts were kind and friendly. We could stay here for a week instead of just the one night we did.

This bunkhouse is a historic old granary that has been converted into a charming little cabin. The Granary is in a located in a beautiful setting, adjacent to several prime trout fishing lakes.
The Granary is located on our family owned ranch. Justesen Ranches is a working cattle and wheat ranch with an established recreation business.
  • Cool space in a secluded area. Made for a good basecamp to fish the John Day and Deschutes.

    Colton2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay at the cabin! The place is remote and perfect for a quiet get-away. As you can imagine the area is very beautiful. We visited Grass Valley, which has a basic store and deli where you can get breakfast. Otherwise there isn't much in the area which is exactly what we wanted. The cabin has all you need, including warm water and heat. Really hope to make it back to visit again. And yes, make sure to see the amazing sunrise and sunset!

    Alexandra2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • The surrounding area is amazingly beautiful. Super peaceful

    Robert2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • The Granary is the perfect quiet retreat! It felt remote and peaceful with just the sounds of the birds, the wind, and the occasional deer murmuring. The sunsets and sunrise are absolutely stunning and the lake was such a treat. I hope I get the chance to stay again!

    Besse2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a hidden gem. No one around for miles, peaceful and absolutely beautiful. Come prepared for the wild wild Oregon west and all its critters. Cabin is rustic but sweet and clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed fishing with our young boys and appreciated the information provided by the hosts. You won’t regret booking Fred’s place!

    Rebecca2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Do your self a favor and stay at Fred’s place!!! The sunset on the dock or the pond, deer running around and the views!!!! So great!!!

    David2019-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing location full of deer and wild turkey. The seclusion is ideal for a “get-away” as the only sounds you will hear are those of the song-birds and the wind. Lots of fishing opportunities on and off-site so bring a pole. will likely visit again when I need some peace and tranquility.

    Jessica2019-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Fred was a great host, with prompt and clear communications. Not to mention the location was great. This spot is a gorgeous rustic cabin that is situated in a secluded area which provides perfect quiet evenings and beautiful star filled night skies. Our group was spending time during the days at the nearby racetrack so I can only comment on the night time experiences but Fred was great, and I highly recommend him and his property as a solid choice in the area.

Studio cabin in the Columbia river gorge located in Mosier Oregon, 10 miles east of Hood River. The cabin is on a small organic garden nestled in the woods.
300 square feet of pure peace and quite. This really is a place to unwind. Bring a book, cook a meal, and relax after a day of playing in the Gorge.
The property is easy driving distance to whatever brings you to the gorge.

  • A clean, cozy and well appointed little studio/cabin in the woods. Great access to the Columbia River Gorge and all at a very reasonable price/fees. Does exactly what it says on the tin, highly recommended. James.

  • A cozy pretty and well kept place. The location is private and peaceful yet also very accessible to Hood River. Our hosts were good communicators. Highly recommended!

    Justin2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place is perfect. The bed was luxurious. The bathroom was spacious. The kitchen was well-stocked. It's very quiet (except for the birdsongs). I sat on the front porch each morning in the sunshine and drank my tea. I loved it.

    Lauri2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • This my favorite airbnb so far! It is the most comfortable and perfect spot to stay in the Hood River area. We really enjoyed walking around the area around the cottage, the super comfortable bed and the great shower at the end of a day of hiking. Bay and Mike were great hosts in every way. Thanks for having us!

    Jonathan2017-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful spot, exactly as described. Cute as a button cabin. Wild turkeys, squirrels and blue jays poking around the property. Nice fire pit. The shower was great too!
